1501  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Bitmessage - P2P Messaging system based partially on Bitcoin on: August 24, 2013, 09:08:24 PM
What about this hattrick?
http://www.chronicles.no/2013/08/bitmessage-crackdown.html
Not that i endorse actions like that, but it shows how flawed the system is.
1502  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Convert bitcoin to cash for free with Bitcoin-Brokers on: August 24, 2013, 09:03:54 PM
Bullshit! In that sense its just like ACH.
You would have to go a long way to have a SEPA "recalled".

Think of SEPA like an extension of ACH, its faster, cheaper, easier and better regulated.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OFFICIAL LAUNCH: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: August 24, 2013, 09:00:29 PM
I posted a new bounty suggestion / feature request - let's have the greasemonkey script.

Is there a better place to post feature requests? (Well we can post them here / the google group, but we should really have some organized issue tracker. How about a github repo?)
+1

Tor and TorMail infiltrated too:
http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2013/08/freedom-hosting/
Until now they made changes slowly so people dont notice, but now it seems they have thrown all caution overboard.

Tor is still safe. Tormail was run by feds, so it doesn't matter.

Did you even read the article???
FYI the headline is:
Quote
Feds Are Suspects in New Malware That Attacks Tor Anonymity

SEPA is far superior to what is being used in the US and much better regulated.
1. There are no intermediary banks
2. Each bank has 24h(weekends excluded ofc) to process your transfer, so you have your cash in 48h max(i had transfers that took 1-2h)
3. SEPA transfers cant cost more than domestic transfers, which is usually 0 fees
etc.
1506  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: CoinCanary.org [No Longer Updated] - All Known Vendors and Status on: August 24, 2013, 08:36:28 PM
What do you think of http://www.cointerra.com/ ?

They say, they will get the maximum out of 28nm-Asic while price will stay cheap. A lot of blabla, but no concrete reason, why their asics will be so wonderfull. The CEO claims to be an ex-chip-designer from samsung, intel, qualcomm, nvidia, but searching his name I found just the coindesk-articles, a linkedlin-file and a medical scientist. Same results for his partner.

They say, they don't sell by now, but will soon. On some site they say, they are gathering funds, they have 1.5 Mio $, but want to have 3 Mio $ before they'll be able to start production.

Adress ist "Texas, USA". No phone number.

In my eyes it's highly suspicious.

They say they are the worlds leading chip designers?!  They have never released anything. Ever. So they are a actually the world leaders in nothing.
OP has other sites he is working on I think now.
Oh dang.
Hardly changes anything.

DaFuq!?

Shocked Can i borrow your hardware for 12h? Wink
1508  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer & Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: August 24, 2013, 08:22:27 PM
Hi,
another little problem,
i have a DLINK 7Port (http://www.amazon.it/D-Link-DUB-H7-alimentazione-corrente-periferiche/dp/B0000B0DL7/)

With 6 USB everything works fine.
WIth 7 USB, one of them (seems sandomly) starts to give HW Error.

Any Idea?

you kidding?

if not, the D-Link 7 Port Hub has a 3A power supply. Each BE needs 0.5A.

7*0.5A = 3.5A

This is the reason for your HW errors.

LOL Good thing nothing burned.
1509  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Bitcoin EU Convention 2013 (Amsterdam, Netherlands September 26th~28th) on: August 24, 2013, 08:09:56 PM
750 euro? Damn. I wish I had the money to be a vendor, but I can't even pay for an Attendee ticket.

Why are the attendee tickets so expensive compared to the vendor tickets in the first place?
Usually its the vendors and promoters carrying the most load.
1510  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-20 MT GOX Dwolla Seizure was $2,915,507.40 on: August 24, 2013, 08:02:27 PM
The American gov surly isnt going to give it back just like that.
And Gox as always seems unconcerned by that and takes no action at all.
I guess they are making enough off insider trading.
1511  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Responses by German ministry of finance concerning Bitcoin and VAT (fulltext) on: August 24, 2013, 07:54:18 PM
It looks very much like this document from @liberto : you have to pay VAT when you exchange your fiat for bitcoins (and the other way around), but never when you acquire goods or services because you have already paid it.

In Spanish:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=242761.5

not at all, in germany you dont pay vat for acquiring btc and additionally after holding them for 1year+ you can cash out tax free too.

1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt next-test 2013-07-21 on: August 24, 2013, 07:39:00 PM
sipa is working on HD wallet support for Bitcoin-Qt (a prerequisite to real watch-only wallets), so I expect we should see that pop up sometime before 0.10 is released.

could you link to it or him?
1514  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: August 24, 2013, 08:51:25 AM
There are some small things that are very annoying and never got fixed like the "state" field in the buyers address.
Is this still used even in the US?

Also, when site fails to load, delete https:// from the address and hit enter. Should load fine.
Id rather not do that, especially when login in.
