1521  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about crypto currency issued by the government? on: November 07, 2018, 10:22:32 AM
Well that will be good for you since creating a crypto means an opportunity to earn more from the investors. The investors that we are talking here is not only in your place because crypto is global. But, it will depend also on the restrictions of some other countries who were implementing this especially in the US. of America.
1522  Other / Meta / Re: Notification to all those users registered before the 2015 hack. on: November 07, 2018, 09:20:42 AM
This is one way to inform those users here through the OP posts in this forum. The number of users who registered before the 2015 hack might get notice here and will be able to chance their emails and password immediately if not getting compromised.

Hacking activity is everywhere, a member should have a due diligence to secure his/her account. Probably it is also good to put a reminder on the welcoming message not only to new users but to all who will log in in this forum. A pop up welcome message is ideal for this if only it will be alright by the admin.
1523  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: November 06, 2018, 02:36:12 PM
There are quite a few names in the top 100 that I recognize but don't see posting much anymore.  This doesn't surprise me, given how bad the forum has become, and they're not exactly sig campaigners who are earning money here.  Some of the names I don't recognize at all and I'm assuming they made a name for themselves early on and haven't been active, or they post in sections I don't visit.  There are a lot of people in the collectibles and mining sections that I'm not familiar with.  It's amazing how provincial I've become, even on the internet.  Hell, even on a single website!

Nice compilation, Vod.
I like more The Pharmacist. Seeing his/her post were very straightforwarded. This is why I always love to read his/her post. But, I was surprised why he did not make i on top 10 as known in this forum. Maybe as what he said that some are not active anymore and I do not know them personally compared to The Pharmacist that is very active and supportive to respond countless complain and appeals in the forum.

1524  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked/blocked ... No answer from theymos or Cyrus on: November 06, 2018, 09:24:04 AM
I have always followed a ban accounts appeal in this section and most of them were full member in rank which is hard to attained. Sighs, they are just wasting their time and effort on ranking up the accounts that were being banned.

Anyway, I am not against on banning plagiarist users. In fact this should be carried on. I do not want either to reply a stolen posts from others. Besides, I can't imagine a forum with huge number of plagiarist users. A good discussions will not carried out and a complete mess will be likely to happen.
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not send bitcoins to extortionists on: November 06, 2018, 08:37:52 AM
Oh no, this should be put to stop even if we say that only dumb people will going to fall into this. The scammer has even raised 1.7 BTC now and still counting. The person behind this should be jailed.

Probably the best thing to do is to ignore this kind of email. Avoid answering this kind of email.
1526  Other / Meta / Re: We need a merit system for local boards on: November 05, 2018, 10:33:55 AM
That would mean a new user who doesn't speak English can't post anywhere, and thus can't earn Merit either.
Indeed and that would be a real trouble for newbies. LOL. Actually I have thought of this so this could be a another problem if OP's demand will be granted.
Quote
local boards will limit only to higher ranks or to those who are qualified to post in the local boards and the newbies with great and brilliant minds will be limited to this.
Struggle is real for the newbies in their local board and that is not how the admin would want to happen. Administrator are more considerate than to what I expected. Probably, the problem will not be addressed or resolve by creating sub merit system for their local boards. It is in their local board has the problem and not the forum itself.
1527  Other / Meta / Re: We need a merit system for local boards on: November 05, 2018, 08:39:10 AM
Probably OP wants to introduce another sub merit system for their local board allowing only good users to post on their section. The discretion and the decision to allow good users to post will be managed by the moderators on that board. The moderator/admin will set a sub merit system to allow only users that reach the least certain amount of merit to be qualified to join in the local board. This may be a good idea because spamming in their local section will be reduced.

Yet, if post is to be reduced on local board then probably the shit poster will then return to spam on Super Mega Thread section. The problem could be solve on local board but the problem will go overboard on other section especially the SMT.

Besides, suggesting for a sub merit system in the local boards will limit only to higher ranks or to those who are qualified to post in the local boards and the newbies with great and brilliant minds will be limited to this. Probably this will create another problem on OP suggestion.

As the legend says since we had a lot of differences here in the forum due to our culture and values it may be good to follow what the forum has offered. We should adapt how the admin run the forum instead of complaining and suggesting an idea that will only allow to create another form of problem. So, I must say to follow the forum, respect begets, and love the users here instead of complaining. LOL
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain or Cryptpcurrency? on: November 04, 2018, 02:58:34 PM
I am surprised with your answer. Anyway blockchain and cryptocurrency has different in spelling and its function. Cryptocurrency basing on google is a digital currency with encryption technique provided to it and it has a complex characteristics to decrypt the encryption process. And blockchain is a list of record of cryptograph or cryptocurrency transactions. This is the technology that cryptocurrency uses to get transparency in transactions. I do not know why OP has different point of view in this. Maybe one should need more research before posting a thread like this.
1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you selective when you participating in ICOs? on: November 04, 2018, 02:27:23 PM
I have joined bountyhives and so far they are doing great. Most of their project were successful and bounty rewards were given on time. This shows their professionalism so if one is so selective in joining or investing in an ICO i suggest to visit bountyhives on their ICO projects being introduced. For bounty hunters if you were aiming for a not so high paying opportunity but has  greater chance of receiving rewards then bountyhives is good for you. Though rewards were only being provided by the ICO project team but for sure bountyhives has some part of it also to receive reward for that project.
1530  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SOURCE AND MODS NEEDED FOR INDIAN BOARD on: November 04, 2018, 01:52:13 PM
This will not help for there are some things that should be prioritize first than appointing a merit source in your local board. Just be patience for now because this problem is not only happening in your local board. If theymos will going to decide to solve this matter then he will also consider other local boards that has the same problem.

You should need to get along with your local board. We too have have same problem but we never complain because we do understand the forum and the users with our differences and we should be careful always.
1531  Other / Archival / Re: Be Safe on: November 03, 2018, 01:36:05 PM
We must needly carefully safe and maintain our crypto asset.strong password use good security with the exchange wallet and personal wallet.
Yes for now this should be done in order to avoid getting phished out, hacked and also get scam. We have to wait for I guess the crypto dev team were creating a good wallet that is formidable to get access by hackers or hijackers. I have read a letter that was posted few months ago by Al Finney here in bitcointalk forum. If Al Finney will be successful in the developement of the digital wallet for sure cryptocurrency will go strong.
1532  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin stability on: November 03, 2018, 12:52:48 PM
I am eager to know how do politic situations particular countries affect the Bitcoin stability, is ti really affecting Bitcoin. As we know that Bitcoin is decentralized of blockchain technology and I think that it will not be affected by politic issues of certain states. In other side, politics is affecting of economic stability. It potentially contributes to break or strengthen the economic in many countries. I would like to know other opinions.
Bitcoin is unreliable of such. It is something else on its own and activities that takes place in any country cannot have any effect on Bitcoin or anything cryptocurrency. The only way that Bitcoin becomes stable is when there is lesser demand and the supply is kind of balanced with the demand, that way the price will stay stable and there wouldn’t be much fluctuation.
Yes you are absolutely right. I was reading some comments and this a reply that I was looking for. I bet that the bitcoin market price stability is not connected to politics. It is the discretion of the bitcoin holder if bitcoin will be sold to or not. The demand of bitcoin is the main reason of bitcoin's volatility and not the polictics.

However, other people talk about regulations and bitcoin ban is correcrmt on their assumption that it will indirectly stabilize bitcoin market price or even fall for more. Thus, not related to politics rather related govenance with their regulations on cryptocurrency or bitcoin.
1533  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-10-31] Coinbase Now Worth $8 Billion, Raises Funds to Accelerate Crypto Ad on: November 03, 2018, 08:32:36 AM
The only thing that makes money now is shitcoin trading if you are lucky enough to get in on the pumps. Otherwise coinbase needs to diversify in order to attract more buyers, not everyone like to trade in boring coins all the time
I'll just say 10% shit coins will pump high but 90% of it were design to fail. So one should come to choose wisely on investing shit coins. It has high risk. Just imagine in ICO's you brought it 1 USD and they will list it to 0.50 USD. Most of it were undervalue because most of the ICO's do not have a real project to start with.
1534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: scared about online fraud ... on: November 02, 2018, 06:53:01 PM

1535  Other / Meta / Re: OVER 300 days with no answer from THEYMOS OR CYRUS? // stolen account on: November 02, 2018, 08:25:43 AM
303 days without contact
Forget it buddy, why focused on hacked account with lesser chance on recovering it? You heard already one of the MODZ so make a decision now. It is wiser to start again and be good in the forum. Do not fed up by your lost get up and move on. When a door closes you then better look another door. Who knows, you might get more than what you wish to get back.
1536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Show kindness on: November 02, 2018, 07:57:13 AM
Investing in coins have nothing to do with forum rank.
You need merit and activity, both of them to increase your rank.
Wish the OP luck on ranking up for it seem so hard now especially if one is not that good poster. If you had good English well then you got a better chance on receiving merit and rank up. Local boards is not also a guarantee for one to get merit because some of the local boards do not have a source merit.

There are other factors also that will enable you to rank up and that is by being good technicay with computer and share it here in the forum.

And if you will be able to find it hard to get merit then do not blame the admin of this forum. The merit system was introduced to reduce spam and pointless post. So blame the spammer not the admin of the forum. Spammer kills the newbie to rank up.

1537  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high do you think or hope bitcoin price to go up next year? on: November 01, 2018, 04:56:31 PM
I am tire of waiting for nothing so probably day trading would be good. However, transaction fee are higher and the possible profit for trading is low unless if you had huge money to trade. But, this will not guarantee to take home money for it could be also a loss to one who will going to day trade without accurate market price prediction of crypto  market.
1538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will earn it when you will learn it. on: October 31, 2018, 04:18:05 PM
Okay. Can we please stop making unnecessary topics about merits now? This is seriously getting too redundant. The merit complaint topics have decreased, and now we've been getting these kinds of topics. Baiting for merits in a not-so-subtle way.
This drama will never end because most of the newcomers were totally good actors and actress. They're not possibly new here and just registering another alt accounts. As this one user said is actually true.

You just faulted in your own preaching

You just fucking begged for merits

In a veiled,disguised way..

Well played...

But you ain't getting any
We still have to wait for their will be another threads like this. So, if they will not get tired of starting a thread like this then we should not also stop posting and discussing to them what is the relevance of merit system or other factors.about thr forum.
1539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am a novice trying to understand why and how Bitcoin works? on: October 31, 2018, 11:19:46 AM

1540  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is not a limit for success? on: October 31, 2018, 08:52:36 AM

What a good picture to show the newbie that this forum is for cryptocurrency discussions and not for getting merit for one to join bounty campaign and then spam. I can't imagine why bitcointalk "forum" became a business for many. I do believe that users with this kind of attitude will likely to fall its right place.

Anyway, I still do believe on some newbie's out there (not this typical type) for joining and learning in this forum about cryptocurrency.
