1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does it really make sense trading on Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2020, 07:50:36 AM
Everyone has their preferences of earning profit through Bitcoin and mostly they depend on where they are suitable, comfortable, and the availability of their time. I mean like for example, several people are not full-time traders, they have a lot of things to sort out aside from trading making them unable to make TA which is primarily needed if you were a trader. Consequently, the holding would be much practically fit for them. On the other hand, if it happens that you have time for making your TA then I suppose trading Bitcoin will be much preferable. In my case, I do trade a little amount of Bitcoin but the majority was arranged to hold.
1522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems like the bullrun is over this year! on: December 06, 2020, 06:03:17 AM
I invested my daughter's savings 3 days ago yet the market is tumbling.
So, I lost some of her money due the current market conditions.

It's December, after all!
Are the bulls gone now or what?
First of all, why would you invest the money saved by your daughter for 3 years? It's kinda dangerous I'd say, remember that you should only invest the money you can afford to lose. Anyway getting back, I don't think that the run is over but rather I think we are only just in the beginning, yeah we can say that Bitcoin is just hovering around the $19k USD mark and making only subtle changes but it doesn't necessarily mean that it is over. Besides people keeps accumulating. So what if it is December, yeah folks may be liquidating their holding for this month but I doubt this will affect the market that much, it wouldn't be like we had way back in December 2017 because the growth is much stronger now.
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not Sure On Whether To Buy Crypto Or Not? on: December 06, 2020, 03:16:06 AM
On the fence about buying crypto? Or about buying MORE crypto? Here’s everything you need to know about why you should buy more. https://www.tap.global/why-you-should-buy-bitcoin
Without a doubt, we need to start to accumulate more crypto or start engaging in it because it is the future. As one of the people who witnessed how useful and helpful innovation this is, I would say that you gotta pick yourself up and establish your future with it. If you want evidence then you take big companies and institutions as an example who starting to venture on this technology. However, if you are new in this field you gotta make sure that you have enough knowledge on it no only joining because of the hype otherwise your investment will be exposed to a huge amount of risk.
1524  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC technicals are against ATH. Liquidate on: December 05, 2020, 05:51:09 PM
BTC technicals are against $20,000. I don't think holding now is a good idea.
Maybe a good idea is to move the money from BTC to altcoins.

If BTC breaks $21,000 confirming a breakout, media will write about BTC and move retail investors will flow in. Then get in.
I think for now, the best idea is to liquidate BTC. And move to alts.

What's your take and why?

Happy to discuss!
Well, yeah I will think about this one but I don't think it to convert my Bitcoin into Altcoins, maybe if it is a stable coin like USDT, BUSD, and more because from that I will be more certain that the profit will be safe unlike in altcoins with having no certainty.
Thereby, placing it in some alts makes it even riskier. Yet, alts only follow on the move of Bitcoin thus if it plunged and so will be for most of the alts in the market. You gotta choose your take for this one carefully.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about USDT? on: December 05, 2020, 05:13:50 PM
Although USDT got into some shit from the past, controversies after controversies I still use it for stabilizing my balances to avoid market fluctuation, one thing you should do is not to let your funds sleep in any currency but only with decentralized currency so you can sleep peacefully. There are bunch of stable coins in the market but it isn't paired with every coins, unlike USDT, so most probably people will just use USDT. If you're a trader like me, you won't have any problem using USDT  Grin
Exactly having the same experience here mate. I know that leaving your assets upon the hand of USDT will endanger your assets the fact, that they have faced a lot of controversies way back then and it could be repeated. However, I can't help it because several stable coins are only paired with limited coins so I got no choice but to use it. And if I choose to switch it into a more reputable stable coin it would take several fees. Anyway, if you are well-experienced and know what you are doing I think you'll be fine with using USDT to stabilize your assets.

1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Altcoin Safe for Investment on: December 04, 2020, 12:49:47 PM
In now days too much Altcoin Project are Launching one by one and all of them claim that invest in his project because we will be successful in upcoming days but in the end they run away and make a scam. They don't woory about people fund and stole them.
So how we can trust on altcoin to give us profit after investment. Because most of them become Scam and Scam. All of them has one Aim how to stole too much fund .
So how we make altcoin investment safe ?
Maybe if you look thoroughly at their project. You can look out for their whitepaper, roadmap, developers, will they able to reach their hard cap/soft cap and more significant data that will determine if the project is good or not. It is worthy to invest in altcoins because unlike bitcoin altcoins have higher volatility rates, however, bear in mind that the higher volatility the riskier it is. There are good altcoins but they are numbered and hard to find that even myself having a hard time finding them.
1529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Web wallet better than mobile wallet on: December 04, 2020, 11:54:39 AM
A web wallet is one such wallet. You do not need to use any additional applications to save it. It is much safer. In my opinion, web wallet is much better than mobile wallet. Using it does not require a separate space. Hopefully the wallet will expand further in the future.
Every one of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. For a mobile wallet, it is highly recommended if you are the kind of person who likes convenience because with a mobile wallet you can access your funds whenever and wherever you are. On the other hand, we wallets provide are better if you because it has complete features compared to a mobile wallet which is only limited(in some cases). Personally, I'd like to use a mobile wallet over a web wallet.
1530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade by yourself on: December 04, 2020, 11:01:16 AM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself
It is not bad taking advice from others though but make sure that you verify it. There's a chance that those signals provided by others are working very well but if it comes to it is not and you should careful with that. Upon making a trade make sure that you follow your instinct, you should learn how to make your own signal that will be in your favor. As much as possible use your own TA thus you will not be regretting your own decision and blame it on others. Don't be afraid to make any losses because this will be your tool to make you grow as you made mistakes you will learn and eventually will able to handle these things proficiently.
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: December 04, 2020, 09:43:22 AM

For the not too long-term investment, do you mean you will eventually sell right? Then it means, whatever the price, you can make an entry since the price is swinging, and with the exact execution of your strategy, you can take advantage of it and take profits.

But for long-term goals e.g for holding, it's a tough question that only you can answer. You need to decide for yourselves what to do. No advice from anyone can tell you the exact thing you need to do.

I mean sell now
And why would you sell now when the price will 'most likely' go to $20k this month or next year. That's why someone is advising you to be at least invest today and look for the long haul, instead of selling every time it hit another higher high. Yeah, it's really hard to give financial advise here, but let's say most of the members here are trying to HODL as long as they can and probably will just liquidate when we are the top or close to getting a new all time high. Best of luck to you.
Well, I don't see any reason why not to sell right now. If you buy bitcoin at a low price and you think the profit is enough or you hit your target price then why not sell. My only advice when selling your holdings especially in this bull run you don't sell all your holdings, just sell a fraction of it and set your new target price again. The thing here is we don't know exactly how the market will behave so you must take the opportunity as you can and don't be greedy as well waiting for it to grow even more. You should know your limits and that is a smart move for me at least.
1532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: December 04, 2020, 09:03:41 AM
There are many people who still don't know about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. I don't know about others I am talking about my country and about my society. Whenever I ask from people about or talk about the Bitcoin. They ask what is this?

How much there is who face this problem?
Though Bitcoin seems popular lately especially now that it is making a great entrance. However, there are still tons of people who heard it already but they didn't know how it works. Even venturing on it without have prior knowledge. They usually ask what is this and once they heard that there will be a profit on it they will recklessly invest. I think for people to fully understand the whole system, there must be a highly influential person who will introduce it to them or much better if it will be their own government. Public promulgation would be the key.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 03, 2020, 03:07:35 PM
It's becoming a frustrating issue when new project you have interest in have no mobile wallet, for over a year and half now I've waited for a project to built their mobile wallet but nothing so far, what are developers thinking? We are in an era where by mobility is the best choice for most people, who still sits in from on a computer just to send coins ? You also have to keep syncing the coin blockchain too to stay updated.

Don't blame people for not investing when you aren't making things easier for them, mobile users are much more than PC users, dear developers start considering mobile wallet pls
There's a lot of mobile wallets out there all you need to do is to search out for them. For ERC20 tokens mew has already provided a mobile wallet application and you can download it on the Playstore and Appstore if you are using IOS or you could just visit them on their website. While on Bitcoin wallet Coinbase, Blockchain, Trust Wallet, Electrum, and more has its own mobile version of their web wallets. As a matter of fact, I am using one of them to send and received any transaction and it is pretty convenient.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: December 03, 2020, 02:30:06 PM
Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?
Well, there's a possibility though since crypto is almost unpredictable after all. However, looking at the performance of any Altcoins it is quite far for them to exceed this one. Even the king of Altcoin which is ETH can barely to dethrone Bitcoin from its position. Perhaps if that a certain altcoin could perform better on Bitcoin, better features will have possibly to dethrone it. Unfortunately, everyone seems more unto Bitcoin, the community is much bigger and in fact, its keep growing as the world government and big corporation starting to venture in it. Thereby, I think it will take a lot of decades for it to happen.
1535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities? on: December 03, 2020, 01:56:38 PM
For noobs, HODLing is a term used for "holding" your assets (here: Bitcoins) for a very long time. But, isn't it true that those who bought it at $500 once should have sold it at $20k peak, and if not, why didn't they sell at $15k? BTC didn't crash all at once and they had the opportunity to sell and wait for another opportunity. A $15k per BTC against a $500 BTC - means a 30x return itself. And BTC crashed to $3k, if not $3k, then these hodlers would have bought back at $6k which is even less than half of $15k as they would also have added a lot more liquidity to the markets with too much money on the table. Isn't it true that too long a hodl can stop you from taking great opportunities while sitting dumb and waiting for a specific target?
It is a hundred percent fact. If you hold too much for a long time there's a high chance that you will miss a lot of opportunities. This is not the right thing to do, it would be more likely a greed. There's nothing wrong in holding and as a matter of fact, it is really profitable but you must have a limit, you gotta set your target sell. In my opinion, 10x or quite a few more would be enough. Once you saw Bitcoin in uptrend take an opportunity to sell and vise versa if it is in a downtrend.
1536  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is better between keeping assets in exchange or personal wallet on: December 03, 2020, 12:49:37 PM
A friend told me few weeks ago to keep my assets in exchange because if the exchange got hacked or my assets are misplaced, the exchange will bear the lose and refund my assets. Just yesterday, someone told me it's a lie that most exchange will go bankrupt if that should happen. I'm really confused right now. More experienced members should please enlighten me.
Yes, he may be right but are you certain that an exchange will bear all the lost funds? I mean if the exchanges have been hacked then it is automatically they made lose some funds as well thus will have a chance for you not to be covered up. Yes, you can store some of your coins into exchanges but don't make it as a wallet you supposedly use it to store a few of your funds to avoid paying huge fees. In regards to storing your coins, it is still obligatory to place it in your personal wallet. You shall not be afraid of being hacked because as long as you keep your pass from yourself and store it in a good place nothing to worry about.
1537  Economy / Speculation / Re: December for moon on: December 03, 2020, 12:01:00 PM
If history is going to be repeating itself then I am strong believes that this current month of December will finally be the month we make the new all time high.

Looking at the 4th Quarter price it may appear that there will be a repeating pump and dump on the price.

But i am being very optimistic that within the net 30 days that we will begin a small moon launch.

I think Bitcoin already been set its new ATH this November. In a few exchanges, Bitcoin has been already surpassed the ATH we had in 2017. However, it is just been a slight moment and goes down later, but I don't think it was over because perhaps this December or in the 1st quarter of 2021 we might have seen a drastic growth. It is bizarre to imagine that we also had a drastic increase way back in 2017, but I hope that history won't repeat exactly as we had before.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: December 03, 2020, 09:05:54 AM
Bitcoin is one of the strong cryptocurrency and it is the most stable digital coin nowadays. Also, bitcoin is one of the promising investment in digital world. Since, peoples economy nowadays are unstable due to the pandimic situation in the world. Peoples are looking for new source of income to improve their economy. Do you think bitcoin is the best investment choice nowadays to earn money?
I would say yes and there's no doubt that is the perfect investment right now simply because it is not like any asset you can find in the stock market, in other words, it is decentralized and the value is determined by the demand and supply. However, in dealing with this Bitcoin investment prior knowledge is necessary, without there's a chance for your investment on a verge of danger. This pandemic really had a big impact on everyone's economy even those big companies have no escape that is stock drastically falls.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops are important on: December 02, 2020, 02:03:55 PM
I don't think airdrop is worthy of your time because for me it was not. Most of the airdrops you will get are coming from new projects and you don't even know if they are promising or not. Let's say yeah there are still goods ones but more likely they are not that good as what you think of. In my experience, I only barely get a decent profit from airdrops and there are some cases that their tokens are hard to be get listed, it takes time thus it makes worthless. Find another way to earn cause airdrop will be just a waste of time.
1540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading site? on: December 02, 2020, 01:28:06 PM
Hi Guys

I have tried the likes of Binance and Bitterex, but they aren't accepting any new users at the moment.

What do you mean Binance doesn't accept any user? As far as I know, Binance is open to anyone, in fact, this exchange is what I am currently using now and it doesn't fail my expectations. For me, this is one of the best exchanges I've been used, I can able to use it without submitting any KYC requirement as long as you have your funds don't reach 2BTC Binance provide better security they had the reputation which is I mainly looking for and it even have the highest volume in over all exchanges, thereby my bias exchanges is Binance.
