1561  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 - The major reason for the current fall of Bitcoin on: March 31, 2020, 06:27:21 PM

People have been saying for years that Bitcoin is a store of value and compare it to gold (up to call it the 'digital gold'). Now that the pandemic has begun, it's starting to show the opposite. With ETH and oil, they're taking over the worst investments place since the crisis began.

-35% and -50% in the first trimester. Super! And the best is we're only at the beginning, I won't be surprised if we see BTC under $4000.
The first real crisis Bitcoin meets and as we can see it's not doing so well as expected

On the other side, Gold, labeled as a store of value, didn't move since as you can see on the graph, and Index, equity ETF, and commodity are doing better than BTC/ETH.

Store of value! People have bought this story for years, well I guess they will learn the reality the hard way, as we say. Now they rely on the central bank to see them printing money xD.

We don't even hear about Halving anymore, by the way...

You did not need this economic stall to see that Bitcoin is not a store of value. Price of Bitcoin was so volatile in past years that was quite opposite. Bitcoin is speculative asset. And it will stay that way for many more years. One day it can happen to become store of value. But lets wait and see.

Suggest Cryptocurrency for Casino games

You need to use cryptocurrencies that people have and use. If casino will only use cryptocurrencies that people dont have they will never go gamble in that casino.

https://www.bitdice.me/ casino lets you gamble with Bitcoin, Doge, Litecoin, Ethereum, EOS and CSNO.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Want to invest on: March 31, 2020, 04:39:40 PM
Good morning, i’m not new in the world of crypto but I never did an investment for lack of money, but now I received a good amount of money and i want to buy&diversify my portfolio.
So I just bought a Ledger Nano X and want to know which are the best project to invest.

Buy Bitcoin. You sound like someone that dont plan to use cryptocurrencies. But you plan to treat it as an investment. So its transparent ledger is not important for you.  You should buy some Bitcoin.
1564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Halving succeed with Currently Situation on: March 31, 2020, 04:00:51 PM
I am very sure the success of bitcoin can only be delayed, it cant ever be denied. Some are with the opinion the build up for bitcoin would manage the parabolic pump not to have such a devastating bear market like we have had, some also feel we cant have the 100k and beyond in the next bull, even Roger Var made the number of such predictors.

Now that the harsh rate had reduced massively will it postpone the halving beyond May?

How massively hash rate reduced? Difficulty adjust every 14 days. So delay can be only few days. When halving of BCH and BS will happen next week I believe many miners that mine them will switch to Bitcoin. So difficulty will only increase and not decrease.
1565  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: March 31, 2020, 03:27:41 PM
Chinese Strategy?

Sorry man. When I look at how people vote on such question, the highest beside that covid-19 happened naturally is that USA government made the covid-19 virus and plant it in China and Iran.
That's very vague man, with USA now have the highest cases of covid19 they should have had the antidote for this before planting to other country, seems illogical to me that they were not prepared for the pandemic when we assume that they created the virus. I hope this pandemic ends in no time, Doctors and Scientists will found a cure.

The most logical explanation to me is that it was not really natural natural, but we humans triggered it with ( global warming, pollution, keeling plants and animals, ...) . That is the reason why this viruses now keep popping out. In past were very rare.
I guess not, people in China were eating this kind of food for a very long time so if it is really genetically found and started with bats then it should popped out as early as it was eaten.

I guess yes. We people eat animals from 100000 years ago. And we got no covid virus. I dont think we eat less animals today as we dis centuries ago. Now with climate changes that happened. Changes people did make it happen that virus got into animals.

About USA. You might be right. If you are wrong then they totally fucked them self up for not have vaccine on time.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto changes. on: March 31, 2020, 12:35:53 AM
Today many people stating that the bitcoin is rapidly falling because of the outbreak coronavirus, it is because they are limiting the transactions for over the world and stop trading for a while

Price of Bitcoin decreased, because people need money so they exchanged their Bitcoins into fiat to buy whatever they need to buy. Some sold because they expected price of Bitcoin to decrease and bought or will buy back latter. There is a lot uncertainty right now.

What do you think of UNICEF syllabus on the education system? Leave any of your views below.

I think that any education is better then none. You can always refuse to learn whatever the teacher teaches you.

1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Strategy is Best Here on BCTalk? on: March 30, 2020, 04:37:56 PM
Across your forum travels, which thread would you say is the best that a newbie can learn from and implement?
I'm looking for a good trading strategy which I can implement and get started with.
Is there anyone on here who has been posting daily and showing what they do which I can use to learn from?
JH

Best strategy is to buy every month a tiny bit. Regularly. Something small you can afford to lose all. Like what you spend on coffee. By buying every month you will avoid buying at top. Then you hold. And make selling strategy. One of good ones is SSS https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.0.    But on the other hand you can simply hold and never sell. It also works.
1570  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Crash Back to 3800$ on: March 30, 2020, 04:17:39 PM
Bitcoin Crash Back to 3800$

Why not? Of course it can drop to $3800. It can even lower. We have no ideas how long this economic freeze will last. Chartists are fucked because all past charts are invalid to predict Bitcoins future.
1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - HIVETERMINAL - Blockchain based invoice financing platform on: March 29, 2020, 10:33:32 PM
Who wants to buy HVN, in addition to Hitbtc, Livecoin is also working well.
Idex is also excellent, but currently there are no large volumes.

Meanwhile, March was the second month for the number of invoices sold on the hiveterminal platform.
Almost all exchanges on the HVN list have a small trading volume, but it does not rule out the possibility that someday the HVN will be targeted by investors or traders because the team's hard work pays off. This is still the beginning, maybe one day this project will have high hype.

There are no whales wash trading and  manipulating market. If you would take that out form most of the coins you would get similar volumes as HVN have.

In general, HVN is one of coins that should be positively affected by covid-19 virus. A lot more companies will bankrupt and they invoices will have to be traded. So in upcoming months and years number of invoices should increase sharply.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: March 29, 2020, 08:22:21 PM
Notice the title of this thread, "[ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven."

So, let’s see what the GRiN community wants, your vote may change the direction of this project. Should David Burkett (creator of Grin++ wallet) be part of the Grin core team?
Vote here: https://www.strawpoll.me/19637251

Man David quit crypto. Its been a while now. If you didnt know that, this might come as shock to you. But roughen up and hold your floor firmly however hard this info might be to stomach. David was a friend, seriously. I remember testing his head with a solid 30x9 inch red brick, that was more fun for me and him than my whole life prior to that. #Nostalgia. I clonked him with that red slab and cracked the skull above ear. We laughed!

Yup. Community driven dont mean that you order people what to do, but it mean that you can hire people to work on Grin. Neo-Geo, you could gather founds and try to convince him to come develop back or convince some other good developer to help with development.  You can be the change!
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Role of the crypto in the incoming global crisis on: March 29, 2020, 07:29:59 PM
What do you expect will be the role of bitcoin and altcoin in the upcoming global economic crisis?
i mean i read on several sites that the only way to face the next economic crisis will be to freeze and withdraw some amount of private equities.
In your opinion will this lead to a massive adoption of crypto? given the fact that they are unseizable and in the end bitcoin was born right to face the crisis of the global market of the 2008?
If so what is the best altcoin to buy and hold for the next five years?

Bitcoin is not ready for wide adoption, so role will not be huge. But this economic crisis is very important for Bitcoins future. People will always point out to it when explaining why Bitcoin is needed.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of a project is not the responsibility of bounty hunters alone on: March 29, 2020, 06:58:50 PM
The success of a project is not the responsibility of bounty hunters alone

1. Bounty hunters are hired with one sole reason to promote ICO or crowdfunding for project.  Nothing else. They have nothing to do with the project.
2. Project that relies its marketing of ICO on bounty hunters is a lost case.  If they are not able to market it on their own they will also not be able to build a successful project.
1575  Economy / Economics / Re: We are about to see the monetary power of the U.S. government on: March 29, 2020, 06:11:47 PM
We are about to see the monetary power of the U.S. governmentv
Expect a price jump when stimulus checks start rolling in. I know I'm personally buying some crypto anyone else feel the same way?

I am not sure. I believe all this stimulus is already priced in the price of Bitcoin. But maybe was so many news that influenced price lately that I might be wrong. Future price of Bitcoin is very unknown. It would be way more predictive without covid-19.
1576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 29, 2020, 04:34:48 PM
Have to agree with Roger Vermin here -

@rogerkver
If YOU are worried about the coronavirus, YOU should self isolate.
Leave the rest of us alone.

Corona is only starting though.

These numbers don't make sense unless we get the same or less for corona in 2021 from Jan to March.

Yes and traffic fatalities will decrease by 2021 since everyone will be quarantined. So we are solving two problems.
1577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 28, 2020, 04:38:06 PM
How long you people think we will be under quarantine ?

Depends where you live. Also expect another lock down at end of the year. I am sure some countries will be able to avoid lock down at that time. Most probably not.
1578  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 User apply in same campaign, it's bounty cheater? on: March 28, 2020, 03:18:29 PM
According about the forum rules :

Quote
No alt accounts allowed, if it is found out that you are participating in this campaign with alt accounts you will be removed without notice or payment.

That is not a forum rule. You are allowed to have more then only one account. Many have business and personal accounts on this forum.
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 28, 2020, 02:29:25 PM
I bought more Litecoin at $61 a few weeks ago, then watched its price rise to the low 80s.

Then everyone started shitting themselves over this Corona Virus bullshit, so the price retreated to $60 again.  If I'd been able to predict the future I'd have sold at $80 and bought back in at $60, but I didn't.

So I lost some profits.  Farq.

You did not only lost profits you also made yourself some loss. Price of Litecoin is now $37. So way under the $60 you bought them. I guess you can wait fro 2023 Litecoin halving. Price will fro sure pump then.
1580  Economy / Economics / Re: India - Complete Country Lockdown - Is it on the Verge of Economic Crisis ? on: March 28, 2020, 12:21:08 PM
It is very big decision by PM of India and this shut down is not for one day, one week BUT its for whole 21 Days!!

LOL man, it is happening all over world. It is not as big as it was 2 months ago in China. Now lock downs are an usual thing. It can even happen that regions in India with most infected gets under the quarantine.

So what are the statistics of them and how you co-relate it to Indian situation?
Considering that India is densely populated with most of the base serving average employment with mid level salaries.

Dense population like Wuhan and New York and North Italy will for sure not help. I am sure not whole India is dense populated. Regions that are are in deep shit.  India need to follow what other countries did. Wide spread testing. And self isolation. Everyone should act as he is infected. Only life important services should operate.  This with reorganising of Health system for then epidemic ( increasing number of normal and intensive care beds and focus all medical staff to serve those beds) will help mitigate this catastrophe.
