841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many Max supply of Ethereum there will ever will be? on: September 12, 2020, 04:42:56 PM
Why do miners do Proof of Work for something that has a unlimited supply  Huh

Supply is always finite. ETH supply right now is 112.571.104 ETH   Bitcoin supply is 18.486.950 BTC   .  Monero supply is 17.695.243 XMR .  Those are all finite numbers. In normal cryptocurrenices as Monero and Bitcoin you can also exactly tell how much coins there will be exact day in the future. In 2040 both will have same number of coin 20.9 million. In year 2150 Bitcoin will have 21 million coins and Monero will have 46 million coins. Still both finite number and much less then Etehreum today or then.

842  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we be scared of zero reserve banking? on: September 12, 2020, 04:19:37 PM
I read online that a few months ago that the Federal Reserve moved all banks from a fractional reserve system to a zero reserve system. In theory this means that banks now don't need to have any reserves, whereas before they had to have a percentage of their deposited money available as cash reserves.

Does it really matters if you have few percent of what you lent out in your bank or zero percent? In both cases those are just numbers in a ledger and nothing else.
843  Economy / Speculation / Re: If market crashes, BTC will crash twice as hard. on: September 12, 2020, 03:36:47 PM
I see there is a strong correlation between SPY and Bitcoin prices.  BTC has a higher beta, however.  Whenever SPY tanks, BTC tanks twiiiiiice as hard, (as it was the first time, I said good byeeee)
In March, BTC dropped from $10k to $5k.      I am calling for another BitCoin wipeout when the market crashes.

But it will also recover 3 times as fast. That is what markets do. they crash they recover. They have bear or bull trends. If you hold and not trade you end up with exactly the same number of coins no matter what happens.

Depends from how you tryst your assets, the volatility really hurts but like what you have said, when you hold
your coin as it is, same amount will be depends from the market value, the bounced back will take place and
it will bring you good profits once the bull show up strong.

Depends on your exist strategy. With Bitcoin the most simple is to buy more all the time until old ATH. So You buy all the time from mid 2018. Whenever you have spare money you buy. Once price will reach $20k you stop buying. When price will go over $50 and over $100 you spend. You buy things that you will need in upcoming years. Car. Furniture. Whatever. This is the best Bitcoin exit strategy you can have.  But there are more. You can whenever price of Bitcoin doubles sell 10%. This is more traders exit strategy. Perfect for some alts. Specially the ICO ones. I wish I would use it more often. So you never miss moon and you never totally lose your investment.
844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A vaccine too early could be dangerous. on: September 11, 2020, 06:01:22 PM
AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine Trial stopped because one of 30000 testers on which they plan to test their vaccine got some strange conditions. Apparently that is quite normal. But still it will delay them making vaccine for weeks. EU already ordered 400 million dosses from them months ago.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / SushiSwap founder returns money and ask for forgiveness 😢 on: September 11, 2020, 05:06:42 PM
https://twitter.com/NomiChef/status/1304442495342796800

To everyone. I fucked up. And I am sorry.
$SUSHI migration went successfully and the journey of @SushiSwap began. I was fortunate to have a chance to help in the background and it was a very enjoyable moment in my life. Congrats for the successful migration!
I would like to apologize to everyone who I have caused troubles to. I was emotional, I was greedy, I was afraid. I made bad controversial decisions under pressure. And it hurt everyone. I failed your expectation and I am sorry.
@0xMaki @zippoxer @Sushi__ninja The early believers in the project. Thank you for joining the journey with me early. And sorry if I made you feel betrayed. I really appreciated your help bootstrap the project and push it forward.
@lawmaster @scott_lew_is @danielque @tomhschmidt @rleshner and other Crypto OGs. @DegenSpartan @mewn21 @intocryptoast and other degen friends. I failed your expectation. I am sorry.
@AndreCronjeTech Thank you for helping with some ideas and code. And very sorry for bringing a bad reputation to the DeFi movement.
@binance @cz_binance @nomorebear I am sorry that I may have caused you trouble. @haydenzadams @brendan_dharma sorry for being cocky. You guys are awesome builders.
Most importantly @SBF_Alameda. Thank you for your help getting SushiSwap back when I almost destroyed it. Same goes for other signers @AdamScochran @mickhagen @cmsholdings @sinoglobalcap
And there are probably hundreds of other people that I did not mention here, but well deserve an apology from me.
I have returned all the $14M worth of ETH back to the treasury. And I will let the community decide how much I deserve as the original creator of SushiSwap. In any currency (ETH/SUSHI/etc). With any lockup schedule you wish.
I will continue to participate in the discussion and technical implementation of SushiSwap in the background. But I will not have any control. Will not take any spotlight. Will not be part of the governance.
I hope that SushiSwap continues to evolve. Don't let my mistake deter it from being a 100% community-run AMM. The success of SushiSwap will set a precedent for many more community-run projects.
It has a lot of potential, don’t let my action alone fuck it up.
846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest for beginners on: September 11, 2020, 04:53:34 PM
In addition, you need to know that scammers are everywhere on the internet, and they are ready to steal your bitcoin and/or other cryptocurrencies. To avoid them is not hard, only what you have to do is to avoid unsafe use of your device used as crypto wallet. Or, better use hardware wallet which are the safest, but still very important to avoid malware, as malware can also still change your recipient address into scammer address.

Exactly this. For someone new in crypto is most important to learn how to safely store his coins. It does not matter if you pick the best coin that increases value 100 times in a year if someone steal it from you and you are left with nothing.  So I suggest op to learn about safety first.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EHrT (8Hours) - The next-gen ENJ-DeFi to go 100x Profit on: September 11, 2020, 04:37:29 PM
There are also DeFi farming rewards with above 500% APY using the Smart NFT collectibles.

Not sure what that means, but if means that they grantee you 500% increase of what you invest then is a scam. You can never grantee a profit.
848  Economy / Economics / Re: PornHub now accepts Bitcoin and Litecoin (News coincides with BTC decline?) on: September 11, 2020, 03:43:09 PM
Pornhub announced support for bitcoin and litecoin on september 1st. A large downtrend in BTC price followed shortly thereafter.

Maybe when PornHub accepts your coin that means it is over with it. IT same happened with Verge 3 years ago. As soon as it was on PornHub everyone forgot about Verge. Same with Tron a year ago. As soon as PornHub accepted Tron whole Bittorent and Warren Buffet lunch and love Tron was forgotten.

One small step for Monero, one giant leap for Bitcoin.

What does it mean Febo

Would there be no more exchange fees? I mean or exchanges? Im intrigued to see how the pricing and valuing works.

I wish I would know and imagine all. Yes there will be only transaction fee. So high for BTC and low for Monero. I cant really imagine how this will look in practice. I am sure we will soon read about some ideas. Two people that will want to trade will still need some place to met and decide price. Atomic swaps should sort of make real decentralised exchanges possible and very easy to build and run.

But my point was that Bitcoin will gain a lot. Monero will at least for now gain a lot also, since some have troubles to acquire it with fiat.

852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 10, 2020, 04:00:42 PM
Precious metals should contain
- 50% in gold
- 35% in silver
- 15% in copper

Man, when you have a lot of money you cant put it in silver. How much silver is $10 million?  How you will drive that home? And where you will store it?   Precious metals are Gold, Gold and Gold.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 10, 2020, 01:06:25 AM
Let's say I have a huge amount of money as an investor, where do I put them? Bitcoin or Gold

If you have huge amount you should diversify. If not that huge amount you should buy Bitcoin with a sole reason that Bitcoin have might bigger potential. Both assets will go up in next 10-20 years. But Bitcoin will go up way more.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi seems to be hot right now! What do you think about the future of DeFi? on: September 09, 2020, 02:30:29 PM
DeFi seems to be hot right now! What do you think about the future of DeFi?

What is the oldest DeFi token? Augur?  Token is there for soem time. It was highly hyped in 2015 when started. I believe they even had stackexchange for it. Or at least tried to have it.  Anything DeFi is not crypto killer app. Crypto killer app is being money. What Monero and Bitcoin are.
855  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 09, 2020, 03:06:54 AM
Cannabis legalization could help the U.S. economy because global climate change has had an impact on the U.S. The country's agriculture is in danger. Once known as the bread basket of the Middle East the country's farmers are now unable to cope with the changing climate and have resorted to cannabis cultivation to alleviate the economic woes. The government is trying to legalize cannabis considering the country's economic situation as it is possible to cultivate it in drought prone weather and relatively low water. since the cultivation of Gaza has not yet been legalized it will pose a great risk to them.

USA is so huge that climate change will not damage its agriculture much. They will just move it elsewhere, if on some areas will be to hot and plant there plants that need less water. Climate change will be devastating for smaller countries. Well not devastating. But will demand for them big changes to take.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who has the eye that looks into the future? on: September 08, 2020, 05:25:49 PM
It will be difficult for crypto currencies to take over the world's currencies, of course some major countries will not agree,
but the future is still very beautiful for cryptocurrencies, so stay calm and enjoy

I am sure cryptocurrencies will replace current fiat currencies. There is totally zero point to use a currency where you need to trust someone. Trust is even when you know that no fiat currency last forever since all were stopped to be used after some time in the past. Only masochists will prefer fiat currencies over crypto. when will this happen I dont know. But for sure it will happen.
857  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19 Impact on the Indian Economy on: September 08, 2020, 03:58:59 PM
COVID-19 effects India too much as compare to other countries behind the reason is that much populations and not well economic level. through this pandemic lot of people became a jobless. it will take 5,6 years to recover again.

It will not take 5 years. India will be on at least end of 2019 levels by end of 2022, but probably much faster. They started taking covid-19 seriously and are testing a lot. After initial shock they will be fine.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: September 08, 2020, 02:43:13 PM
@Febo. That is what litecoin is doing. Copy updates from bitcoin and other cryptocoin projects, hype those updates for the periodic pump and dump hehehe. This is a type of weakness in cryptocoins with a limited supply. It might take years before we can accept this.

This update will for the first time be very different update from Bitcoin. So it will be interested also from that point to see how much people will like it. Maybe will totally ignore it, since for them LTC is just second Bitcoin.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 07, 2020, 06:38:29 PM
Also he’s acknowledged the fact that Cannabis is approved in 40 states, and if it’s legalised in all the states then it could create much needed jobs, and even the government can benefit from the taxes levied on it’s sale.

It is surprise to me that cannabis is a legal industry in 40 out of 50 USA states. It could take a decade to rebuild industry that was prohibited for over a century.  But overall this cant be a saviour of USA economy. Many other much bigger things will have to go right for that.

After Sushi Dump CZ reply with Highly risk especially on Defi project

Binance dont need to list any scams. All they get by listing scams is Binance users lose money. Sooner or later will lead to people leave Biannce for other exchanges where scams are not listed and users not cheated out of their money.
