701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 14, 2020, 04:26:02 PM
I wonder when everyone else will join this guy from 2 days ago that fat finger bought 35k XMR up to $147 on Binance. I am bored of this $12x&$13x prices. Time to move on.

I always wonder about those.  Like you say was it a slip?  Or a drunken "eff it?". Or does the guy know/think something?

Seems much more than trival to throw 2.5-3 million bucks at something on a whim... but I suppose some can.

But my oijia board lines and graphs... we have a lot of room to strech out over the next hump.  I think i saw it as 145?  But 137 might be the top of it?  I still think 145 will offer resistence... in someones our friend on Binance fulfilled my prophesy. Smiley

Now that i checked with 1 minute bars i see was only 15k XMR. What is still alot. Beside this highest price was close to $136. It definitely had to be a mistake.Or he hoped to maniplate market and force a bull run.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (XMR) Hits New All-Time High for Transactions Despite Bounty Contracts on: October 14, 2020, 03:57:32 PM
The only reason I can think of is that it's one of the most speculative coin, and traders are buying it and then dump as soon as they profit. Of course there are hardcore enthusiast who put their money into it for privacy purposes, but I don't think it is enough to push the price.

No Monero is to only coin that is used in businesses for transactions. totally opposite what you just said. There is even meme: Dont buy Monero unless you plan to use it.
Why is Monero used?  Because its transaction cant be linked. Business are not afraid someone will spy on their transactions.  Who they transact with and at what amounts. This beside less then a cent transaction fees makes all this transaction number growth.

705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: October 13, 2020, 07:07:53 PM
Its happening!!!

Nothing unusual that AEON follows Monero. We will most likely see much bigger gains in upcoming days and weeks. Now is time for those that cry about low liquidity. But be careful to not be sorry later. Tongue

But, what I'm not sure of is this; what does the government aim in regulating montero?

You cant regulate Monero. Monero is decentralised permissions coin. Everyone can freely use it. What governments do is to control exchanges that operates in their distraction. So people that exchange Monero for fiat do identify them self and pay taxes on capital gain taxes they make. That is regulation we need. And that is a regulation we already have.

Uh and yesterday new transaction ATH was reached: 20136.  Now new transaction ATHs come almost every second day Tongue

Bitcoin Balance on Exchanges Reducing

I guess proof of keys that happens on 3rd January when Bitcoin was launched in 2009 is early this year. Having coins on an exchange is asking for troubles. When I personalty need to exchange a con i send it to an exchange , swap it fro other coin and then withdraw it. It takes an hour max. They have only 1 hour to somehow fuck it up and waste my coins. Very tiny chance.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 13, 2020, 02:57:54 PM
I still have nightmares of huge bags being dumped on the market over and over again.
97% of the 18 million Monero has been mined compared to Bitcoin which is at 88% of 21 million.
Will this start to make an impact?

The block reward is currently 987 XMR per day.  That is getting close to stock to flow ratio of Gold. But it will go below that in the next year.

I wonder what the Koreans are doing with their XMR. They were a big part of the run up last time right? Where will they sell?
Also, perhaps it's now a blessing that XMR wasn't on Coinbase all this time. To acquire XMR you had to look outside of the biggest exchanges.

Most of those volume was fake. Most of those exchanges are now charged for fraud making fake volume. Just check the news.

Transaction volume.

A 10% spike in a single day, and a solid new ATH.

Yup, when people trade also transact. Combining that will increased use that is going on continually for more then a year, we got a great day and a week for Monero transactions.

Monero Atomic Swaps implementation funding

Monero Atomic Swaps will hep Monero short term but also help Bitcoin drastically long term.

if trump loses will he sell the USA out

He could sell Florida to Greenland. Those poor Greenlandians have title sun all year long. They do deserve some sunny part of Greenland And I believe Florida would be perfect. It also have Trumps golf club there. This way he do a lot positive things and this deal is totally a Trump way.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: October 12, 2020, 02:33:38 PM
Good day,
forgive a newbie question please. I am new on the bitcoin scene and I am also pretty fresh in economics. I am learning, I suppose that is what I wanted to say. I was an ignorant for a way to long and now I trying to gain knowledge to be a little wiser. I got a bit lost because of the pandemic and I wonder is it good to invest in bitcoin and stock market nowadays or should I wait and see what is the market response going to be. I was pretty sure I got a hang of it but the situation changes so dynamically that it is hard for me to follow.

The initial hit that pandemic did was in March. Prices of everything drooped back then. Gold, Tesla shares, Bitcoin, ...  Now I dont think something like that can happen again. Bad things like delays with vaccine can just prevent Bitcoin to go up.  If you are buying on long term, there is totally zero question. 10 years from now Bitcoin price will be way higher as it is now. Yes in the mean time can go down. Even a lot down. But why would you care.

It seems two more records. Yesterday 18155 and today 19795. Not to mention that weekends are usually worst, so we should expect to new ATH to continue in next days.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 12, 2020, 11:12:59 AM
How high do u guys think the price will  go before end of year ? I guess 120 usd Cheesy

If 2020 is year of Monero, than will have to go way way more then only to $120.  I would say $200-1000.

This was a bit more then 2 months ago. I am sure some random readers of this thread thought I am crazy.  What if I was wrong  and price will be more then $1000?
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash what are your thoughts? on: October 11, 2020, 08:32:32 PM
First of all, if you count the rise from 200 to 20 thousand USD and back to 3 thousand it took a cycle of 4 years to happen, while BCH needed only 1 year (december 2017- december 2018) to drop from 3100 to 80 USD.
It never experienced a large pump ...

It simply dont exist long enough. If you want to predict what will happen with BCH in next few years you should look at Litecoin. Litecoin is a BCH competitor. Just one of them. There are plenty. Basically a Bitcoins protocol forks. All old coins with a community will do we in next few years.
714  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 11, 2020, 08:05:07 PM
it looks like the economy is becoming more and more dangerous.  We haven't gone through the 10-year cycle of economic collapse yet so I think it will happen in the near future.
That is a wake-up call for those dreaming about bitcoin that could rise to $ 20k this year, wake up and look at the market honestly.

Without vaccine we will for almost sure not see Bitcoin at $20k this year. Next year we for almost certainly will. A lot of things would need to happen for Bitcoin not reach $20k in 2021.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price fundamentals in ‘moon mode’ as BTC held on exchanges drops on: October 11, 2020, 07:18:09 PM
Despite an uneventful month for Bitcoin (BTC) price, on-chain metrics suggest that Bitcoin may be gearing for an imminent bull run. Noticeably, the number of Bitcoin held on spot exchanges has been decreasing since the start of the year, according to data from on-chain analytics firms, CryptoQuant, and glassnode.

READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE HERE: https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2020/10/09/bitcoin-price-fundamentals-in-rising-mode-as-btc-held-on-exchanges-drops/

I dont see why should number of Bitcoins on exchanges matter. People that will want to sell Bitcoin high will move it to exchange and sell when right price for them happens. They dont need to put it on exchange now and wait for that to happen.  Bitcoin is on a bull run from start of this year. It was cut off with covid situation in march and set on pause a bit back then. But Bitcoin bull is here and will be here for like a year. Bitcoin bull market is not just fro a month. Last bu market was not just in November 2017. Last bull market was from October 2015 to December 2017. Almost 2 years.

It is funny that numbers in this video became accurate once again. Just that back then it all happened much faster then now. But we know that result will be the same.
717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't reply to private messages from unknown people! on: October 10, 2020, 05:17:49 PM
Rule number one I learned is to never reply to messages from unknown people in forum.

Can you tell more?  If i reply on the forum to someone they fro sure dont get my email. What is a danger to reply to a private message of a scammer?
718  Other / Politics & Society / Re: It's time to tell the EU to eff off on: October 10, 2020, 04:19:37 PM
They have ripped us off by taking our fish, and selling them back to us, as they have stripped our fishing grounds. This resulted in the loss of a lot of jobs for our fishermen. It's time to rebuild the fish stocks for the benefit of the eco system as well as the UK. I think all foreign fishing vessels should be banned for at least 5 years, as they don't respect the sustainability of the marine life.

We voted for a clean break from the EU. Now after 5 years, it time that we got it.

I believe whoever fish around UK will be allowed to fish for few more years and that will be somehow reduced ( time or amount) in next years. Eventually only UK robots will be able to fish there.  It is definitely time to move on. There is so much for us in the future.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Japan to begin digital currency proof-of-concept in 2021 on: October 10, 2020, 03:48:02 PM
Bank of Japan to begin digital currency proof-of-concept in 2021

All central banks will or collaborate with other central banks or on their own issued a stable-coin. They will not let the central power they have right now, to slip from their hands. So their citizens dont use stable coins controlled by someone else.
720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Article: At $10,600, Bitcoin price is on track for its second-best quarter ever on: October 10, 2020, 03:13:04 PM
I just found an intersting article on Cointelegraph.com. With the current Bitcoin prices we are "on track for the second-best quarter ever." What do you guys think? When will we see the next best quarter ever? Will it be Q4 this year? I am confident that we will see it in 2021 latest.

Prices itself dont tell you much how good quarter is you need to calculate how much price increase or decrease in a quarter. Also Bitcoin did not start in 2014 but in 2009 and got valued at the end of 2010.
Oh and for a 2nd best quarter Bitcoin would need a 600% increase, what I dont belive will ever happen again.
