1561  Economy / Reputation / Re: The Bromance of FruitsBasket and CryptoSparks on: September 30, 2019, 12:38:20 PM
Sure someone with API keys can do all sorts of things, but I don’t believe there is evidence to suggest the bot is doing any of these things. More importantly, CryptoSparks appears to have a target market of those using a few thousand dollars to trade with, and even the altcoin markets on bitmex are liquid enough so that these amounts are not going to move the market very much.
Bear in mind, this is under the assumption that CryptoSparks has something that would eventually be profitable. If people are willing to scam for a few hundred dollars, there is no reason to assume they would not do the same for a few thousand. Do realize, however, that if the bot algorithm is static among the users, then you will have a lower profit margin when it comes to each individual user, so stating something as trite as guaranteeing an N% profit is not so guaranteed.

Mort impoartantly [sic], I think CryptoSparks probably stands to profit more from the long term trading profits off of his customers verses having advance knowledge of a few percentage points move caused by his bot.
A few percentage points at high leverage is quite significant.
What I will say, however, is that the API secret only has an opt-in withdrawal feature, meaning that if CryptoSparks wanted to use it maliciously, he could not directly take the funds out of users' accounts.

I'm skeptical but I can't call it an outright scam.
P.S. Not affiliated with Gunbot.

Any chance we can have an adjustment for the post counts to exclude those that are in the WO thread?
1566  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: September 27, 2019, 03:06:56 PM
Just curious, why yobit signature provide the link with https://cryptotalk.org/ and not using yobit.com or yobit.net link?
Maybe someone, especially for yobit sign-participant explain about this.
They're trying to get people to join their crappy forum, probably so they can have an easier time shilling.

Can we get a new list of the current participants?
I hope yahoo can produce a proper one but here is what I scraped so far:

-snip snap-
Beautiful. You know when the first user on that list gets the "report all posts on page" button, that it's going to be a fruitful venture.
1568  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: September 27, 2019, 02:12:47 PM
Yobit automatically sends payment for new posts every 3-4 hours, so if you aren't quick enough they will get paid for deleted spam posts anyway.
That's not too big of an issue. I have a script for compiling the report results which I can easily send to yahoo so that he can see the amount of spam that each individual member generates.

I think that we should give them a chance, since the campaign is now being managed. It's not as it used to be when they could shitpost freely and get paid for it. If they added a rule that every caught abuser gets their unclaimed rewards zeroed, the quality would increase by a factor of 10 Tongue
By 10? I doubt it. You'll most likely have those bland two/three-liners that are vague and padded enough to just barely count as substantial.
1569  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: September 27, 2019, 01:57:52 PM
Can we get a new list of the current participants? I needed some users to report, so this will be useful for both controlling the campaign and disincentivizing spam from each individual user. Not a lot of people like it when 20+ of their posts are deleted in one fell swoop.

Yeah a lot of the ones i've seen like you to watch when the table is full with the added function that you can bet on the player you think is most likely to win so that probably works well
Never bet behind.

I thought I'd come back to this quite to say I found a blackjack simulator online and it doesn't look like you can beat an 8 deck shoe with 4 card penetration as the simulator says the house edge falls to around 0.28 (from about 0.7%) but isn't completely nullified (but I'm not sure on the accuracy of that simulator but it did have a lot of detailed analysis (and it was just playing with a bet spread of 1-20 so 1-100 or something might yeild better - but it did have ~440k hands played so the randomness was probably accounted for).
That simulator is probably accurate if you're forced to play a minimum bet (with a maximum bet cap) to stay at the table. However, in many online casinos, you can simply hop in and out, and at some of the places that I've played at, I can just do a "seat reset" by quickly 'standing up' and 'sitting down'. This saves my seat for the ~2 or 3 rounds of idle time.
He seems to think you should be able to make 2%/hour with a risk of ruin at 2%.
Buy Million Dollar Blackjack by Ken Uston.

If the house edge is at 2% on average and there's 100 hands/hr, then you will be able to hold a RoR @ 2% with somewhere around 200 units.

1574  Other / Meta / Re: How often do you send PM's? on: September 26, 2019, 07:57:45 PM
PMs are better regarding small grievances that can be easily resolved without much debate.
Topics should hold open discussion if external parties' influence is necessary (i.e. both are vehemently supporting opposing sides)

Instead of "no longer continue participating in this comedy" and slithering away to your circlejerk thread, you could bring some of those opinions here.

You certainly discuss things in more detail with more passion in your Russian thread. No reason why you can't defend yourself directly in this one.

And kzv is right in this:

Если по старинке, это называется демократия, если по хайповому - децентрализация. Когда нет дифференциации по цвету штанов короче. Да тупая система, но лучше ничего пока не придумано (не мое, У. Черчиль (вроде))
DT is a pretty dumb system.
1576  Other / Meta / Re: And the yobit.net campaign is back on: September 26, 2019, 07:25:17 PM
(bitmixer had a similar style but I think they had someone moderating and could afford a lot more in pay)... Their support was awful though sometimes...
Bitmixer had the same problem until Lauda(?) stepped in. There was also something similar with hilariousandco handling a previously spam-heavy campaign, I believe.
1577  Other / Off-topic / Re: cancer on: September 26, 2019, 07:21:51 PM
Chemo therapy cant really cure the patient because if it does why those who completed the session still end up dying?
Because chemotherapy kills cells and is not guaranteed to work, especially if the cancer is metastatic. Why do you think the typical chemotherapy baldness occurs? You're killing cells both cancerous and healthy.

Bitstarz not only preventing a player from receiving their winnings but also preventing them from receiving their deposit. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=770
Shouldn't this be an implied contract flag? This is similar to the Livecoin issue I think.
Flags are complicated... :/

I messaged the user in question regarding the issue so if a type 2 fits better then we can talk to them about it.

Even if a player has breached your terms, I don't see any reason to keep their deposit. Just like in the other case, this is blatant theft.
