1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: March 20, 2023, 05:07:45 PM
At the end of every crypto winter we always have some coins that will not recover from the impact of the market meltdown and being unable to recover means they're forced to close down and become dead.
It's a natural phenomenon in this market and actually, the market is giving us a favor by filtering some coins to see what are the profitable coins and what are not. Projects/coins that has almost no value tends to get flushed down in bear season and that is why we should take our time first to have a thorough research before we start investing so that we can avoid some mistakes along the road.

I know that they are still a lot of profitable coins in the market that are still untap but that it has a lot of risks entailed, it will be worth it if you can find those but just to be sure, it's much better for the newbies and for the most investors to invest on the top altcoins rather than taking a risks with an outcome that is really not guaranteed most of the time.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: March 20, 2023, 04:34:14 PM

We don't just think about earning by tomorrow but instead of thinking about the future.
This is why we have to prioritize purchasing bitcoins over altcoins. The future of bitcoin has been tested so far, even bitcoin always finds its own way to grow and find its ATH again. ETH and BNB have always been my favorite altcoins but I put them under bitcoin and at the same time prioritize bitcoin if the money I have can't be divided anymore.
My goal here is for the future, and I'm looking for daily, weekly and so on altcoins that have the potential to do so.

Of course, why would anyone prioritize these ETH and BNB if they can always give BTC a priority. BTC has been in the market for over 2 decades now and been tested throughout the time even if the market turns upside down, and just you said, bitcoin will always find its way to recover and have another all-time high after a long drought season called bear season. Also, ETH and BNB are there for a reason, hence why they are called altcoins or as an alternative for bitcoin.

The Los Angeles Lakers keep holding on at the number 10 spot and they really needed the win tonight thankfully they were able to easily beat Orlando Magic with the huge performance from Austin Reaves. Now that they are close to ending the season games, they should really work harder in the remaining games in order to secure that spot, or they might have a chance to increase their rank which will gonna help them to skip playing the play-in tournament.

Especially next game because they are about to face the Phoenix Suns who is still a threat to their current standing even if Kevin Durant is still not on the Suns roster. It's a must win game for the side of the Lakers because there's a lot of things that could happen to the current standing if they cannot manage to defeat the Suns but I guess it won't be an easy journey considering that Booker could explode anytime.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 20, 2023, 02:03:06 PM
It's really Jason Moloney who is available during the time WBO ordered the fight but since he backed out, Santiago received a big opportunity to fight for a world title and this would be the biggest fight of his career.
Yes this is a big fight of his career and it's not impossible for him to win, having a 3 consecutive wins last year and a much younger than Donaire, he stand a chance.

Though, it won't be easy since Donaire is an experienced boxer and already prove his worth. He might came from a loss with Inoue but it's a motivation for him to redeem himself and be a champion again. Anyway, is the date for this fight set already?

It's better to think that Santiago is going to give Donaire a good fight, as most of us here think that Donaire will win easily. You know, when Donaire's opponent is aggressive, it usually results in an entertaining fight, regardless of the outcome. So let's hope that will be the scenario come fight night. As of now, Donaire is still the favorite, but that's expected already since Donaire has a better ranking than Santiago.

Yes, that the correct mindset, not going to be easy sailing for Donaire here, this is for the belt and of course Santiago wanted to be a champion as well. And even if he like rank 6, Donaire shouldn't be underestimating him.

On the other hand, Donaire might be taking his training as hard as the last time. We all know that he was knockout by Inoue, but still though, this is another opportunity for him to remain as champion, so everything should be perfect for him come fight night.

This time, I'm quite positive enough that Donaire will prepare for Santiago and this time, he will be training hard so that he won't get surprised again even if Santiago is not that much of a boxer compared to Donaire's recent foes. Furthermore, Donaire learned that lesson in a hard way as apart from us, Donaire didn't expect that rematch to last much earlier. The thing is, they are both after the same belt, so it's fair to say that Santiago will not back an inch just to give Donaire an easy journey.
1565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much money is considered as "invest only what you can afford to lose" on: March 20, 2023, 01:41:55 PM
With regards about your question OP, that depends on how much can you afford to lose because we have a different lives with different situations. My advice is that don't mind those people who that are investing as much as 100x from what you can afford because investing is not a race, just like what I've said, they've got a different situation that's why they can afford to lose a much larger amount but that doesn't mean that their investments are much more important compared to yours. Remember, a win is a win and a lose is a lose, no matter how big or small that investments are.

The Bitcoin market has been bearish for a long time.
Many then Many people are commenting on Bitcoin. I have some friends who used to criticize this bitcoin a lot. They were saying that the price of Bitcoin would never go up. Gradually the price will fall further. But I did not give up hope. I was so patient that the price of Bitcoin would go up I knew. And researched Bitcoin.
Expect it OP, not all people will believe what you're trying to say especially if they don't have any interests about it and about bitcoin it has been under criticism at all times so that's how normal. But wait, I'm quite confused. When did you started investing into bitcoin OP because up until now, the market is still bearish and there's no signs that the bull has began. As you're saying, it seems that you already cashed out some of those investments you that you had because you and your friends are already happy, and living on your dreams.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 19, 2023, 12:40:08 PM
And if we talk about the MVP race, Kia MVP Ladder: Joel Embiid overtakes Nikola Jokic for No. 1 spot.

1. Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
2. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
Well, that 4 game losing streak by the Nuggets really affected Jokic's MVP race.
On the other hand, Embiid deserves it as well as he is performing very well in their last games. It will be a close duel between these 2 Centers on who will be the MVP now that we only have few games left on the regular season. I'd want to see Jokic making history though as the 4th NBA player in history to have 3 consecutive MVP titles. Smiley

If we compare the individual stats of these two players, we can see that they both perform at their best on the court. Embiid averages more points per game, and he's clearly a good scorer, while Jokic is a more universal center as he grabs more rebounds and has more assists per game. In fact, both are equally deserving of the award, although I'd rather see Embiid as the MVP of this season.

Scoring wise it's Joel as he is the league leader, they are almost the same as far as rebounds goes, with 10 a piece, but what separates Jokic is of course, his skills to pass the ball.

Same here I wanted Joel Embiid to win the MVP for this season, he is doing everything for his team, last year, he just got injured but a healthy Joel? Philly will have a good chance for the title. Although it's tough as there are a lot of teams in the East that is also capable, like Giannis Milwaukee and last year runner up the Boston Celtics.

Well, it seems that Joel Embiid is serious this time to take back what is rightfully his and if we can remember what he said few weeks after this season commenced, he said that he will not let Nikola Jokic be the MVP this season again and that is indeed what is happening right now as Embiid is on the #1 spot for the MVP race. He could've got the MVP title last season but that injury he had paved a way for Jokic to be the back-to-back regular season MVP.

1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 19, 2023, 12:17:09 PM
Also, the promoters should rent Las Vegas Raiders' Allegiant stadium, have a big screen and let everyone pay $100 per person to watch the fight hehehe.
Well, that's a first if that indeed happens but they should swap the venue though because Allegiant Stadium can hold more people compared to T-Mobile Arena.

“I feel as though I’m already that guy in the sport. Canelo is going out the door, all these guys. I’m the face of boxing, let’s just say that.”

After this win, it’s just me getting over the hump. If you don’t watch boxing, this is the fight to watch – for sure.”

That's quite too much for him to say especially that he ain't got the WBA world title belt, or any of those existing belts that is now possessed by the undisputed champion, Devin Haney. And he's saying and comparing himself towards Canelo Alvarez? Grin Boy, I know you got talents but you still have a long way to go and that's for sure.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2023, 11:28:21 AM
Memphis Grizzlies VS Golden State Warriors

The stake odds for this game are 1.90 for the Grizzlies and 1.85 for the Warriors, Vince Williams Jr., and Steven Adams, can not play for the Grizzlies Ja Morant is still suspended, while Ty Jerome, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins, and Gary Payton II can not play for the Warriors, for this game I really don't know if the Grizzlies could step up for a win because the Warriors is having a crazy loss, but I think the Warriors will manage to win this because they got bad blood Dillon "Dynasty" Brooks because of his trash talking I think my pick is the Golden State Warriors,

I think it's high time we all move past this idea of the Golden State warriors getting a win on the road, and it doesn't matter if they are playing Boston Celtics or Detroit Piston, or even as mediocre as a team from the G-League, these clowns just can't get a win on the road, I believed playing the Atlanta Hawks or a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies' would have been an easy way to dismiss that narrative, but here we are again, the fumbled it!

I'm probably done with them until the post season, I mean that's even if they manage to secure their spot for it.

Yeah, they have already cost us a lot of money, expecting that one day they'll be back to being the old Warriors who can dominate on the road. I don't understand the line movement in this particular game. It seemed like it was signaling that the Warriors would win, but what happened was a complete massacre for the team. Good thing I was able to bet live and took the Jazz to win with 3.40 odds. It made me profitable in the end.

I skipped the Warriors game, because I want to beat on them, but there are parts of me saying that it's going to be very difficult because of their road game records. It's a different Warriors team now, although the core remain but the second unit is not that strong anymore, so to be honest, I doubt that they can defend their crown for this year, just to be realistic. They could be the crowd favorite for us, but it might cost us more money losses, just saying.

Good for you, mate. Actually, the right thing to do now if we still want to bet on the Warriors is just wait until they play at home because that's where they have a higher chance of winning and even covering the spread. For now, road games are an automatic no for betting on this team, maybe until the playoffs start, as they need to win a road game in the playoffs, especially since they don't have a home court advantage based on their current standing.

1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 18, 2023, 01:29:18 PM
Thurman might have really lose his hunger specially on how he lost to Manny. He was humbled by Pacquiao and then doesn't want to fight anymore until he comes back for Barrios but doesn't look good anymore. He is not known to have a good stamina or at least very vulnerable to body shots and for sure Spence are going to test that early. And then maybe faded rounds 8 and up and then really ripe to be taken out by him in 10 to 12 and maybe it's first time that he will lose by knockout.
I don't think so. He probably has his personal reasons for not coming back right away after his defeat against Pacquiao. The one who defeated him is a legend, so that should not make him look bad. What's important is that he came back and won a fight. Now, he has an opportunity to beat Spence in a match, and although he is the underdog, it should not make people think that he has no chance of winning.
1573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: March 18, 2023, 12:59:29 PM
Obviously, you'll never learn from your wins because there's no need to change your strategy if you are winning. However, when you experience losses, that's when you will evaluate your strategy, change it, and try if it's working. The thing is, if you keep learning from your mistakes and never give up, eventually you will become a successful trader and earn a consistent profit in trading.

I have heard that there are people making a living from gambling, but I would say it's more possible in trading.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 16, 2023, 10:11:38 PM
...Anyone though was surprised to see Leonard Ellerbe on the background? The guy with that white beard, he is Floyd's CEO and we all know that Davis didn't renew his contract with Floyd. But according to the news, he will be training at Floyd's gym in Las Vegas, so I guess everything is really cool between the two camps despite Davis no longer under Floyd. And I think it is a advantage for Tank, at least he has someone more experience behind him. And who knows, Floyd might drop to his own gym and still mentor Tank because this is the biggest fight of his career, both of them including Ryan. Goosen's training gym is in LA, so most likely Ryan will train there as he is from California.

So looking at boxing's top librarian Boxrec, Mayweather Promotions is part of this event along with GBP (Ryan Garcia's promoter). TGB is probably the lead promoter here since Brown is always in the middle during pictorials and is usually the promoter tabbed by most PBC events.

Tank probably remained a promotional-free agent like Canelo and is free to fight under any promotions. PBC is the real promoter anyways so if Tank has a managerial contract and wants to continue working with Al then he doesn't really need a promotional contract that will take a portion of his events profits.

Yes, it certainly seems like it to me as well because Tom Brown of the TGB Promotions is also mentioned first whenever they advertise this fight while Oscar of the GBP is the co-promoter. And for Tank Davis being a promotional-free agent, he might sign under Al Haymon of the PBC but I'm under the impression that Tank Davis is also looking forward to build his own promotional company as the name GTD Promotions which is also his logo.

He might be routing to that, I mean with such indication it's simply showing that he wanted to have his own promotions, if he
continue his way, winning against Garcia, the chance to bring more hypes under his name.

A very good promotion for his desire next destination. It's no longer new to this sport as we see more legends who use their names to
start their own promotion business.

Moving back, the fight is nearing and for sure we will hear and read more trash talks.

Same here, I think that is also the reason why he severed his ties under Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s promotional banner because Tank is looking forward to make his own banner under his name and initials, GTD as we can always see that whenever there is Tank. Just for the business aspect though because they are still friends and well connected after Tank left the promotion. But in this fight, Tank might halted his plan to launch it because this fight is too big for him too handle especially if it is his first time.
1575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: March 16, 2023, 09:49:56 PM
And for David's perspective towards Plant, it's either he is indeed underestimating the latter just because he failed on his campaign towards Canelo or David was just messing around and playing some mind games with him to distract him from his plans. But that moves may have a consequence because the way I see it, Plant is serious this time and David might be a victim.

Hard to say, maybe mind games, or personal thing for him as we have seen videos of their confrontation years ago. And it seems the Benavidez are hell bent on getting their revenge on Caleb. But the thing is that Caleb saw this as just their antics and so he will be more prepared for this fight just to make sure to shut the mouth of David and his father.

Well, Benavidez might get furious on that note because Caleb is just taking their words lightly when in-fact Benavidez's side are serious about it and it's not just mind game antics for them or trying to sell the fight even more. On the other hand, at least Caleb Plant is calm enough about it and didn't let David and his father destroy his plan, that is to have a rematch against Canelo.
1576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 16, 2023, 09:29:36 AM
If he will manage to take this one away from the monster, it is surely a good start to move up and
challenge the current champ on his chosen division.

Actually, I want to see Stephen Fulton having a rematch with a much-improved Brandon Figueroa in the 126 after this match against Naoya Inoue. I'm sure Fulton won't bother to stay at 122 anymore regardless of the result of this match as that was already his original plan and it's just timing that Inoue decided to move up.

I also think Fulton is not considering having possibility of a unification match against his fellow title holder at 122 lbs, Murodjon Akhmadaliev which has a scheduled title defense against a Filipino, Marlon Tapales next month. He is surely want to moved up weight no matter what.

Can't wait to see the result of this match and how it will change the current phase of the Super Bantamweight division.

Yes, same here mate. Fulton already gave us a sign that he will leave his present weight class regardless of the result and will campaign at 126, if it's not because of Naoya Inoue's climb towards 122, Steph Fulton may have already vacated his belts and left the division but since Inoue became the WBO super-champion, that pave a way to make this fight happen as Fulton is also looking forward to the very same thing.

After this fight, there's a good chance that Fulton and Figueroa's path may cross again as by that time they are situated in the same weight class and maybe by that time, Figueroa might be WBC champion if he can defeat Rey Vargas.
1577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 16, 2023, 08:53:40 AM
Steph Curry has a monster game of 50 points against the Clippers.

But was not enough to pull a win for them, and as what we have been discussing, they played on the road and they have a bad record on it. Kahwi and PG combine for 54 points to offset Curry's game. Klay Thompson, after a explosive game just chip in with 15 points.

And Klay Thompson was just 2 minutes shy from Steph Curry's playing time yet he just scored 15 points with a very low stats (37.5 FG, 37.5 3P%), 15 points is pretty much decent if you're an ordinary player on the league but we are talking about Klay here who is the other half of Curry, hence why they are called Splash Brothers. I guess he was just having a bad night, it's just too sad for their part because Curry's 50 points was wasted. Other than that, they are really bad on the road.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 15, 2023, 11:07:41 PM
we don't know their ulterior motives but maybe they are seeing some advantages for their boxer. we can't really tell what they are thinking on this matter, as they may have strategy how to go around inside the ring without feeling drained or of that sort. well, we will see if this will really help Garcia's upcoming fight. but a big deviation of weight after rehydration may give issues to his body while fighting. so better stay on his comfortable weight where his body is not being forced to.
And I think that will be the issue. That's the motive of the clause, to give Garcia a hard time.
After the weigh-ins, he should preserve that wait until fight night which means a lot of things. Powerless, stressed, and more. The effects will be lighter punches, exhaustion, and could easily get irritated which Davis could take advantage of. It sounds unfair but Davis' camp is using the rule book on their side especially knowing Garcia's body build is way too big for that weight class.
We will definitely see a KO here. Either Garcia will shock Davis because it didn't affect him or he will be lying in the mat because of the wittiness of his opponent using the "clause" as their upper hand.

I think that is the main goal on the camp of Tank Davis, they see Ryan as a very big 135 lbs so they have to insert that into the clause, that he can only add 10 lbs for rehydration, no more no less.

So they just want it to be fair for Davis, although for fans, it seems that Tank wanted to take advantage of Ryan Garcia. But it's a done deal already, Ryan is fine and definitely still has the height and reach advantage. Power might be the same, as well as the speed. So maybe whomever make the first mistake, but suffer that knock/down or out.

It's fair enough for both camps because both of them used a favor as Ryan Garcia only wanted 136 catchweight fight instead of 135, so Davis's camp also made a rehydration clause because even if 136 is just a 1 pound shy, that will still matter for a guy like Garcia who is much taller and that is why Davis also got his own rule to overrule Garcia on that one. Now, as we can see, Davis have much more edge and probably one of the important factors why he can dominate Garcia as the latter is very much dehydrated.

And they are really fighting it out even in the negotiations, and it seems Davis is the clear winner. But as Ryan has said in public, he isn't bother by the 10 lbs rehydration so he allowed that to be included in the contract itself. So maybe Davis has now the edge, but Ryan still thinks that he can pull it off.  But he is like 3:1 underdog in this fight though. I think a ML bet for Ryan is already very attractive to us. Even the Over and the Under (7.5) is already good in my opinion. The good thing is that we can already see the odds and make our own speculation and bet on it base on our analysis.

I agree that an ML bet for Ryan Garcia is already enough profits for us because he's not really that behind Tank's level, he can still boast that about that KO punch he possess as I believe this will be a fight of who will be the first successful boxer to land their vicious KO punches, and of course, the first one to kneel or go down will be defeated as that's just hard to flip.

But for Ryan's mindset that he's not really bothered by the 10 pounds rehydration clause, he is clearly bluffing as their camp even make it in a catchweight bout to give Ryan an edge and now he's saying that 10 lbs rehydration is nothing? I really doubt that. And saying that they allowed that clause to be included is far from reality, of course they have no choice but to agree with Tank's camp about that specific clause because they already asked for a catchweight bout, and if they won't sign, it's their loss not Tank's.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 15, 2023, 10:33:25 PM
Not that surprising because we have already heard this man's name even before Canelo Alvarez underwent to a much needed surgery because his wrist has been in pain since the Canelo-GGG III fight. I'm just glad that this fight is now a done deal because people are waiting for Canelo's return as he have a lot of boxer now queued to fight him afterwards, Canelo may put his belt on the line on this one but let's not forget that this is just a tune-up fight.

Yeah, hehehe, we have been discussing his name on the other thread, it's just this makes it's official now that Canelo will have a 'tune-up' fight against Ryder. He needs to put his belt on the line here, and it's going to be a homecoming fight for Canelo in Mexico. For sure, the fans are still going to buy the tickets even if he is facing lesser known opposition.

Good payday for Ryder though, for the kick off press conference and face-off, here is the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw9y1vI6zuI

Just a good payday though and nothing else more than that, I suppose.

And since Ryder doesn't have any good names on his record, that means his chances are actually slimmer even if he is just on par with Canelo in-terms of height and reach. But when it comes down to the IQ level and strengths, especially the KO ratio? Canelo is just on another level and I seriously don't think that he will slack on this one as he still wanted Bivol's head next.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 09:47:50 PM
When Anthon Davis is doing well, they can easily win the game and with the help of his teammates, it would be possible for them to maintain or get to the upper spot until the NBA playoffs. Every team that has the chance to get to the number 6 spot will really play hard to win their remaining games and so as the Lakers when LBJ will return. I think is a good idea to make him rest for a while since they were really getting more wins anyway and that's really pretty good but I think they want him to sync with the team so that they won't have any problem playing in the NBA playoffs.

I can't imagine how strong the Lakers are when AD won't be injury prone anymore and playing at this kind of level he's showing tonight. When AD becomes unstoppable, it would be much easier for his teammates to score anywhere on the floor. The trade was really a successful one as they have acquired someone who could legitimately drop 5+ 3s per game.
Can't really wait when LeBron comes back to the game, let's see how effective he is as a leader of this new Laker team.

I guess we can really say that the Lakers have won the recent trade and adding D'Lo, Vanderbilt and Beasley to their current roster was indeed beneficial to the team's offense and defense. We can see it on their stats and it's really incomparable because the disparity before and after the trade is just so evident. And for the Lakers who have AD on a healthy level gives them much hope that they can participate the upcoming playoffs and might get as far as 6th seed before the season will end.
