Does BlackCoin have PoW mining right now? How does mining this coin work?

There are so many possibilities for this coin. I always laugh when people demand to know "whats the plan?". It is soooo early on in crypto. No one knows whats going to happen.
The 1 thing that I know 110% for sure is that crypto is the future of everything.

I am wondering where actually can be geocoin in 8-10 weeks. After geominer release my prediction is top 10.
Followed by a new series on discovery channel called geohunters  +1 contact the discovery channel! I will audition Thats hillarious. I was calling for the CCN CannaCoin team to do this. A cryptocoin marijuana reality TV show that follows that team around all day while they do marijuana and cryptocoin things. I hope a cryptocoin team makes a TV show soon. GeoCoin would make a popular reality TV show! Special famous guests who try to find GeoCoins. Big Pot! 50,000 GeoCoin amazing race style with 3 different teams trying to get them. |

hahahaha still not fixed wallet??? What is the excuse now???  this is a joke  POW/POS are the most complicated coins to program. I think thats the excuse. lol Yeah but there's got to be other working sources out there that could be used to help fix the problem. It's been a very long time since POS broke with no clear signs of progress. It's too bad but there doesn't seem to be a real future for THC  Lemons: Is there anything you can show us? Seems like Tim/OP is completely gone. Not sure if you are blind but the future for THC looks great. Do you see what fartbags has been posting? Personally I am happy POS isn't working. POS is garbage, for rich people who want to get richer. Not cool. Anyway, thanks for ruining my THC accumulation at 20 sats whoever you are! I'm not denying that what fartbags has been doing is great and I applaud him, and everyone else who has kept THC going for so long, but without an active dev/OP where do we go? It doesn't matter if POS is good or not, what matters is we seem to be lacking an active developer and/or someone spearheading the project. There either needs to be a takeover or get Lemons and Tim back on board. Also how is POS garbage? Its not like THC has a crazy high POS rate and its probably better on the environment than POW. It makes sense at this point in the game to at least offer it alongside POW. Either way there needs to be people somewhat in charge of the coin to keep things going. I agree POS would be good. It would save coins and extend the POW mining phase. I still believe there is going to be an massive pump on BTC or another coin will blast off and catch BTC. Once that happens there will be so much attention on crypto and so many new devs come on the scene looking to get in on good cryptocoins. BTW... if there is ever a serious problem and the community wants to switch things up, I still think this transparent coin swap with forward compatible wallets would work like a charm: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=880220.0I'm sure the community could come up with a bounty and some dev could have a completely different coin code base set up ready to switch over to. AFAIK, @with the lemons! is still working on the the code to fix POS. It is March Madness, exams will be over soon. Lol, you're right! I will be very pleased when we replace one garbage from top 100! Them we will replace another garbage from top 50 and at last I hope we will replace a garbage from top 10! This coin isn't in the top 100 yet? Wow! Coins must be dirt cheap right now. I better get some more. |

Folks, let's not mislead public. There will/should be 100,000,000 coins in several hundred years, that's correct. But for now the Coin Supply (WeTk): 10,012,495.74784097. Only 10 million and 12.5 thousand coins. About 10 millions of them are from PoW, the rest are staked. Given the stake rate (just 1% yearly), the coin supply will grow extremely slow, for example 11 million will be reached in about 9-10 years  . So the short answer is - there are just 10 million coins, not 100 million.For comparison: DopeCoin has more than 134 million coin supply currently, and costs about 60 sat atm. If we solely base on the number of coins for price calculation (I know that is wrong, but I'm not the one who brought the coin number as price criteria initially ), then WeTk should cost (60sat * 134m / 10m) = around 800 satoshi . You are correct. Now that the block explorer is fixed I can see the amount of coins. 50 sat for this coin is cheap. I can't believe someone sold at 13 satoshi. |

While GeoCashing is being developed, someone should go hide a GeoCoin paperwallet on http://geocaching.com and see if that person comes to this forum! Maybe add a qrcode with a link to this thread onto the paper wallet. Sounds like a great promotional idea I'd be willing to drop one off in a Geocache once the paperwallet is ready, I've found over 200 geocaches from geocaching.com! You can go to http://cryptolife.net/upwg/ to create paper wallets for any coin. You would select PUBKEY_ADDRESS = 38 for GeoCoin The way I made the paper wallet for: http://hempcoin-paper-wallet.github.io/hempcoin-paper-wallet/was buy using the cryptolife.net open source code and changing the line var getvalue = document.getElementById('FIRSTBIT').value; -> var getvalue = 38; //GeoCoin PUBKEY_ADDRESS It was really that easy. You then style the page however you want and design the graphics. BTW... the graphics are base64 encoded into the html page. It makes it a bit harder to edit and understand. Once the hot wallet site is all built, it should have a feature to do gifts like this as well. This is a one time gift that can be scanned 1 time.  The Forever gift is almost complete. It will allow the same qrcode to be found multiple times. The amount of times the qrcode can be scanned as well as the amount it pays out can be edited in real time. I see big things coming for GeoCoin. |

With a pool solving so many blocks and sending out payments every 10 minutes or so, the wallet.dat file must get big really fast.

rest assured this will not delay the recovery of the hempfield pool. I have always wanted to have more than one pool for Hempcoin. If anything this has encouraged me to get moving on it.
Hoping to have some time this weekend to get cracking on it.
It's hard to maintain these cryptocoin wallet and server things when its not a full time job. As you can see with hemp.cash and hempchain.info, both of them break sometimes and need to be fixed too. I hope you can get warranty on replacing your SSD after you recover the files on it. Yeah its true! hemp.cash hot wallet breaks lots because the wallet.dat file gets too big... I think that is why it breaks @bocyaj, Do you know how to reduce the wallet.dat files size. Like remove all the transactions stored in it? Or like do something magical to it? When hemp.cash went viral in Indonesia, the wallet became 25MB in 18 hours and crashed hempcoind. hempcoind could not start again with that wallet.dat file. |

Why aren't there more pools for THC? It seems so weird. Is it as simple as messaging OCminer and getting it on suprnova.cc? Maybe it is that easy... The pool would take their 2% and be really happy. Msg ocminer and ask for a pool. Tell him that his pool would make him a lot of THC. |

I was watching the new last night and there was an article about GeoCaching. It looks cool. GeoCoin adds in GeoCashing to GeoCaching. What a sweet move.
Brilliant move! Tobler is like genius. Target a large industry with something they actually want. If you stop to do some research and think of the implications GEO has, you will be mind blown. Right now we are all so excited about geocashing and crypto, but don't forget about the long term plan of integrating GIS analysis into the POW. That honestly blows my mind. The dev here can actually make it happen too, its not just a great idea that can change the world. Dev and community growing around this project are very good too and definitely worth investing in. Once GIS analysis is integrated, do you think its possible that anyone from home could pay 1 GeoCoin and run a better/faster analysis than whats currently only available to universities and large corporations? |
