1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 25, 2017, 06:27:38 PM
Bitcoin for me is the start of a new generation of finance system.  Being the first mover as decentralized blockchain, it encourage lots of developer to develop application and technology in this category.  Aside from being currency, it also open a new horizon of opportunities for people around the globe.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: April 25, 2017, 05:09:38 PM
Which I like from bitcoin can be easy to transact for the purposes and also can be saved in the investment as we save money in the bank
That's a pretty good reason why someone would prefer to use Bitcoin rather than having regular paper cash. Bitcoin allows the money to get larger as an investment when the price goes up. The amount of money that some people contain within their Bitcoin address would be worth more than what they originally deposited if the price of Bitcoin passed the all-time high.

Plus the transactions of Bitcoin is kind of fast as well so the people that know how to use transaction accelerators could make money by accelerating transactions as well.
And one of the good things about bitcoin reevaluation is that you don’t have to do a thing just wait for the price to get lower and then you buy, after that the only thing you need is patience and you will reap the rewards of being invested in bitcoin with almost no effort.

I agree with the idea but this is kinda slow, we can hasten the earning through trading Bitcoin and altcoins.  Buy altcoin when Bitcoin is starting to decline and sell altcoin when Bitcoin is starting to incline, just make sure that the altcoin you are buying is pegged to USD else this strategy might fail.
1583  Economy / Economics / Re: How much money do you have left from your job? on: April 24, 2017, 11:58:10 PM
I have not resigne with my job so my mone keep on repleneshing every 15 days.  Aside from that I also consider this signature campaing and trading as my side job so basically I always have replenishment every day from trading and weekly from my campaign.  So I can tell, it is quite hard to say how much I have left from my job since I do not know until when I can keep these jobs.
1584  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: April 24, 2017, 11:39:58 PM
It is not totally about education,it needs a lot practice and you have to be constantly looking at the price of bitcoins if you want to be successful trader. it needs advice from the people who are successful in trading and practice makes it a perfect.

Isn't practicing an education?  It is a practical education where you experience the thing you read yourself thru action in order to absorb and understand it more and even make you create another set of strategy that will boost what you learned.  When you experience something and learned it, it is education.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: April 24, 2017, 10:57:19 PM
It will depend on the comfort level of a person in which method he has more confidence of making profits as both of them involves risk of loosing money so a person can choose a way according to the risk he can afford to take.

I agree, often time people are performing well when in their comfort zone, and performed bad when they get out of it.  So it depends on which one a person is comfortable with.  Mostly people are comfortable where their skill excel.  So I guess trading or investing depends on a person's knowledge and skill.  As for me I will go to trading since I am more comfortable at it.
1586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: April 24, 2017, 10:27:51 PM
When you say daily I will assume you mean daily buying of things like bread and milk or petrol ? For me if I can pay in bitcoins I will otherwise I draw fait with localbitcoin and use regular fiat. I prefer to support bitcoin where I can though.I really bekive in 5 years time we will see many chances to what you can buy with bitcoin.

As of now I think there is no daily usage of Bitcoin except for the daily loading of a prepaid mobile and that is an insane thing lol.  Bitcoin had never been used as payment in offline store and there are seldom to none existent fast food chain that accept BTC for a meal.  Except of Day traders that uses Bitcoin in trading, there is none that I known of Bitcoin being used in daily stuff.
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: April 24, 2017, 10:08:09 PM
bitcoin is a p2p currency. the only way it can die is if people stop using it
I cannot agree with you, bitcoin is not only a p2p currency, it is something more than that.
You have many places where you basically deposit the bitcoins on the exchange, and you put up a sell order.
It does not have to be neccesarily one investor buying you bitcoins, but they might be distributed among bigger number of traders.
Obviously, you can use only p2p transaction services, such as localbitcoins.com to just obtain bitcoins through trade which includes cash, or bank transfer.

When you send a transaction to one peer even when your coins is at an exchange, isn't it peer to peer transaction?

It is when the developer stop developing Bitcoin and miners stop mining it, even with people who are willing to transact but no one is mining, network will not move since no one will mine and solve a block.  The network being stagnant means a sign of Bitcoin being dead.
1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impossible has been reached: LTC has 100% SW support! Can BTC ever do it? on: April 24, 2017, 09:56:13 PM
Once LTC has 100% support and activated and the Bitcoin community saw the positive effect outweighing the negative effect of it, then probably  the Bitcoin community will come to support Segwit but I doubt that 100% will be achieved, there will be people who will always go against the majority due to ego and pride. Worst, for personal intention.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: April 23, 2017, 11:36:21 PM
I believe that all altcoins have chances against Bitcoin but the question here is, are they taking these chances seriously?  Bitcoin might be the first mover but there are lots of altcoin that have advance feature than it is.  So definitely if they just play their cards right, they can have a chance to compete against Bitcoin and probably can even surpass Bitcoin.
1590  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: April 23, 2017, 11:11:15 PM
I do not understand why I should compare these currencies. The dollar is for the government, and bitcoin is for the people. So it was from the very beginning of the existence of bitcoin. And bitcoin will never replace the dollar
Dollar is for the people also and it is the most popular currency in the world IMO, bitcoin is for the humanity but not all
will be able to adopt with it especially if it is not supported by the government.

They are both used by the people and I do not think that they are for the people.  Bitcoin is definitely created not for people but rather oppose the financial system where centralization is observed.  While USD is created so that government will have a distinction when it comes to currency.  I won't make this two compete since they have each features and advantages.  Beside we can always use both whenever we want.
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2017, 09:10:11 PM
I think the being decentralized is the biggest disadvantage of Bitcoin.  Being decentralized slow things down when it comes to decision and modification especially implementing fix and upgrades.  It needs consensus and as we see, it takes years before one good upgrade to be implemented.
1592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why ASIC BOOST is necessary. on: April 23, 2017, 07:13:45 PM

That said, I have my doubts that mining is a 1% margin affair Wink  It wouldn't be worth it.  Too few return on investment.

I do not believe it either.  They are just making an exaggeration about that 20% boost.  But I wonder why they did not use a 0.01% or lower than that profit margin.  That would really give asicboost a 200,000% increase in profit.

Better go to the stock market instead of buying mining equipment, no ?

Or just buy Bitcoins, at least we have the finish product and saved from all troubles of setting up and maintenance.
1593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why ASIC BOOST is necessary. on: April 23, 2017, 06:40:46 PM
Current mining profit margins are roughly 1%.

ASICBOOST increases power efficiency 20%.

That increases profit margin to roughly 20%.

That is a two thousand percent increase in profit margin for anyone using an ASICBOOST compatible miner.

That, and that alone, is the only reason anyone would be in favor of it.  It offers a monumental competitive advantage over other miners.

If this is distributed to all miners, it nullify the advantage of other miners.  I also believe asicboost is really necessary because it renders the one who own it cheaper electricity to run the miner.  But if all miners use this then the advantage is nullified since each will add another 20% of hashing power to meet the maximum capacity of their electricity.

The only thing here is that this was kept secret to all miners until someone discovered that it was beeing used covertly.
1594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin digital gold or digital cash? on: April 22, 2017, 10:56:46 PM
Bitcoin is created to be a digital currency and use as payment method but it seems people also acknowledge Bitcoin as store of value, meaning it can be a digital gold. With these, I can say Bitcoin is both digital cash and digital gold since the feature Bitcoin both covers the function of this two option.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: April 22, 2017, 07:31:52 PM
There is some good news on some of crypto today, if you are in for a quick profit, you can buy insane, digibyte  they have incoming good development for the next weeks or months and probably can hype the price. And if you are in for long term bay, maidsafe are a good buy.  The had been here for some years, and have been long since it was hyped.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Victoriouscoin|Soft launch|Thevty.club:Get hundred dollars of courses on: April 19, 2017, 06:28:34 PM
just want to ask guyz, Is it normal I got stake rewards while the blocks is too far from the current one. Its always been this way. Sad VTY wallet now is unstable.. thanks for the help

Your system will try to stake as you sync up, using its known blocks. All of those stakes will be orphaned since they don't get built on to the main chain. So yes, you will "stake," but no, you won't actually get anything. Only way to earn from staking is to be fully synced.

I agree but the good thing here is that as the blocks were orphaned, your staking reward builds up.  Meaning, after your wallet is fully sync, those that stake and got orphaned will have more rewards when it stake and get confirmed than the orphaned one.
1597  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: April 19, 2017, 06:11:02 PM
It is very difficult to achieve. still many people do not know about  Bitcoin then how they use this. It will take some time one day all will use bitcoin for their daily use. For this governments have to accept this as a legal money then only people can use it easily.

It is possible for almost everyone in the internet to use Bitcoin by 2022, but talking about the whole world outside the internet, I doubt almost everyone will use it.  To make that statement come true, people in every corner of the world should be connected to internet and I doubt that everyone will have access to internet by that year.  So it is impossible in my opinion.
1598  Other / Off-topic / Re: Smartphones are vital to bitcoin growth on: April 19, 2017, 12:35:23 PM
Do we really want a massive upsurge in small transactions clogging up the system, and pushing up transaction fees?

The massive upsurge in small transactions is not the concern here, nor that is the only transaction we can make from smartphones.  What we are talking about is smartphone as tools in bitcoin growth which is as what OP stated Vital to Bitcoin growth because it enable every one who have this gadget to access Bitcoin Network, send and receive Bitcoins and even promote Bitcoin to other users using mobile social media apps.
1599  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: April 19, 2017, 02:30:35 AM
Yes , bitcoin is definitely used in all kinds of transaction including illegal activities. Because bitcoin is anonymous they prefered to use it in all kinds of online transaction, small or big, legal or illegal activities.
Just read the OP, he says USD and not BITCOIN mate.
For me all currency can be used in all transaction even it is legal or illegal but it depends on the person where he used the currency.
i think those people wanting to used it in illegal they are desperate to earn big money or drug addicts because people have a good mind are not doing illegal things to make his/her life in trouble.

While some people commit crimes out of desperation like drug addicts, most crimes related to money are for greed and nothing more, they love money so much they will do anything to try to get their hands on more of it, that is why you see people that have millions commit fraud to enrich themselves even further.

It is not only money greedy people are after.  They are either after for power or fame.  So they use everything in their arsenal to get this things.  People use money (this time USD) to buy position in the office of the government.  Others bribe judges to win a contest.  This means all kind of money can be use for illegal activities, not only USD.
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: April 19, 2017, 02:20:37 AM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

Bitcoin for me is a blessing.  It enables me to access things that I have not accessed in my entire years before I knew about BTC.  It gives me access to boundless profit generating activity like trading so I am thankful to BTC about that.  Bitcoin is a key that opens a new horizon of earnings and profitability.
