Ugh, how many of these bloody threads do we need!! If the mods in this place were chosen for their mod skills rather than their trolling ability we'd just consolidate the million other threads on this subject into one, like any other normal forum would.
Why do people get so pissy about threads? I can understand getting mad about an asshole cutting you off on the road but a thread on a FORUM!?!?!?!?! OMG it's the end of the world.  Because: 1) There are already SO MANY POSTS about this subject. When pirate changed his rates, there were at least 6 threads simultaneously occurring on this forums all talking about it. It is/was too hard to keep up with the topic because it was ongoing in too many places at one time. The mods did a horrible job of locking/redirecting threads, and in my mind continue to do so (no offense mods, my two cents). 2) This subforum is for speculating ON THE PRICE OF BITCOIN. I wish the mods would either enforce that or change the description of this subforum. Can I speculate on whether or not pirate's next fart is going to stink? I hope not. 3) Unnecessary clutter is unnecessary. Rolo is totally right. Every other forum I've been on would have consolidated all these threads into one in a heartbeat. I dont see this subforum called "The price speculation of bitcoin"..........Under economy -> Speculation Unnecessary whining is unnecessary. |

This is just an idea but for next time auction bidders should deposit certain amount of Litecoin before they can start bidding to filter serious guys only and increase the value of auction.

Finally, if you think the coins will never be worth the electricity paid for them, you have a pretty pessimistic outlook, why bother at all if the damn things will never be worth that much? Why pay $10 electric for 1 BTC when you can buy them for $9 on MtGox? Going this way network will be down in matter of days - no miners, everyone want to buy, but noone to close blocks. No, because other miners can still get 1 BTC for $8 of electricity or less  Not all miners have this ability mind you. The suggestion was for those (i'm guessing) that are spending more money paying for electricity than to just outright buy it. |
