16761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's propping up the currency? on: September 11, 2011, 05:46:50 PM
I admit it is me who is propping it up. I am using cosbycoins to prop it up. Nothing like puddin pops to prop up the price of bitcoins! Roll Eyes

Don't get me started son! Don't make me get all "HI MY NAME IS..." on your ass!

Obviously you've been beaten. =)

9/11 was an inside job genius!

16764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoincharts down again on: September 11, 2011, 05:38:23 PM
"Down for maintenance" is what we put on our website when the bitcoin market has high volatility. Makes lots of sense to go down everytime there is huge market interest or movement.

Can anyone say "bullshit"?
16765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CUT YOUR LOSSES] SOLIDCOIN on: September 11, 2011, 05:34:23 PM
I suppose my being right and the price crashing by 66% within 48 hours after would say I have mental problems. Good analysis.  Grin

LOL when have you EVER been right about anything?  You told us to "watch" Solidcoin in the next 3-4 weeks (a HUGE range given the volatility of pretty much any *coin) and it dipped for a few days and came back.  You never predicted any price targets at a given date, but rather cast a broad and ambiguous net for your prediction.

OH HAI GUISE, WATCH THE TAMPA/DETROIT GAME TODAY.  SOMEONE IS GONNA LOSE. OMG MY ANALYSIS IS SO ACCURATE LOL

Oh so you're the analysis police now? lol...be sure to make exact predictions guys then tomatocage can troll you for being wrong 99.999% of the time. He doesn't like broad predictions because you actually could be right. haha
16766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CUT YOUR LOSSES] SOLIDCOIN on: September 11, 2011, 05:28:08 PM
Good job. While you were making BTC the price of BTC went into half lol....

I couldn't care less.  Bitcoin is a scam just like Ix/I0/Solid.  But I'll still gladly make money off it before the government cracks down and makes these little crypto ponzi schemes illegal. LOL

Yup make it illegal. Good luck outlawing it worldwide lol. Turn off the internet while we are at it!  Cheesy

Once again can you explain how diff. adjusts?

Diff adjusts as with bitcoin, but re-targeting  happens every 16 blocks.

It has been brought to my attention by ArtForz that it is too little and so an increase in this value is to be expected in the future

By the way, this brings me to several  things that I would like to receive opinions and constructive arguments:

  • What would be optimal retarget period for a chain with 15 second blocks (in the future might be even 7 second  blocks Smiley ) and why ?
  • would changing the "adjustment step  limit" from "/4" to some other value benefit a fork with fast blocks, and if so, which approximate value should that be ?

So as with bitcoin 2016 blocks turns out to be 14 days. What is the period for this? 15 seconds multiplied by 16?
16768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive spike to $7 (then $15.9499) sunday 3PM BST at MtGox on: September 11, 2011, 04:41:50 PM
and bitcoin charts is still down

I know what the fuck is that all about. Watch when volatility subsides they will be operational.

What a joke.

Now MT. GOX says the high for today was $12.50. So wtf is is it? $15? or $12.5?

Something fishy is going on....
16771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CUT YOUR LOSSES] SOLIDCOIN on: September 11, 2011, 04:33:54 PM
I made a comment a day or two ago that the price of solidcoins would fall and it has come down from 0.015btc to 0.0045btc. Cut your losses now while you can. Resistance level is 0.011btc (that's a sell area).

Trust me, I've made BTC on all three alternate chains and one thing about making BTC is knowing how to cut your losses or get out while you can before the market tanks further.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Happy Trading! Cheesy Cheesy

Well fuck, I've made a little under 300 BTC this week by buying a few thousand SC at .004X.  Are there any other alt chains that we should "cut our losses" that you want to warn us about?  Daddy needs a new pair of 6990s!

1. read smoothie's posts
2. do the exact opposite of what he says
3. Huh
4. profit

Good job. While you were making BTC the price of BTC went into half lol....

I hate to say it but you trolling down solidcoin made me a lot of money also... thanks for that.
Though I still think you should take medication for your mental problems.

16773  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoincharts down again on: September 11, 2011, 03:51:38 PM
Wow don't you just love how bitcoincharts.com goes down at the most important moments or time frames?

I mean like wow wtf! Wink
16774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pleas make real CosbyCoins-Chain on: September 11, 2011, 05:25:44 AM
Already done. cosbycoin.com

Is it an active forked-chain or just a copy of the bitcoin software?
There is a fork on github and has been modified already, yes.

For some strange reason, the wallet file is named "dat.wallet" instead of wallet.dat.

Well I can't seem to get it to compile. No cosbycoins for me!  Cheesy

I get the disticnt feeling that we are merely in the eye of the storm...

We are... there is more downside to come...
16777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic Selling on: September 09, 2011, 06:50:32 PM
so wait...what were we talking about again...?  Grin

It is official, then. I am a troll.

As an attempt at getting cured I will now step away from my keyboard and not touch any of the keys for a couple of hours. I'll come back to some random thread and tell everyone how that felt Smiley

You will be a troll +2-3 hours older.

Who are you to tell me how I will feel!!!!

OOOPS....

*runs to safe, dark corner*

How old you are has nothing to do with feelings.

A bit over 3400, around 4 blocks/sec average (= around 13% effective hashrate). bitcoind still starts lagging like hell beyond 3 blocks/sec or so Lips sealed

Cool. Least we got some benchmarking done.

Good test chain.

Doubt an exchange or pool will jump on this though.

No worries =)

Now look who is misquoting.

Someone has issues....  Roll Eyes

Heh, yeah, right. Forgot the context:

Quote
Thanks for the crash course into day trading.

This was your reply to my question on why do the panic sale threads always ignore that these high volume sales have to have a high volume buy counterpart. I assumed from the reply that you were being ironic, sarcastic or simply an ass. If none of these options is correct and you were really thanking me for the crash course then, hmmm, you have bigger issues than I do.

On the other hand if it was actually any of the 3 options described, then I can safely say that your quoted reply can be read as

Code:
you are a stupid moronic knowitall

Wouldn't you agree? On second thought you probably won't, because that's your thing... I respect that, we have to be consistent with our internet selfs. As an example, if you follow my post history you'll find that some 50% of my post are attempts at comic irony, all ending in disastrous misunderstandings. People here take other people too seriously but again as long as we keep it consistent...

Someone reads too much in between the lines.  Roll Eyes
