Some scammers only know how to fool people easily and how to earn instant money from committing crimes.
Most of them are just knowledgeable of experienced in a way on how to scam people but not educated enough to make constructive sentences.
It is really easy to identify a fraud schemes due to its legitimacy and it is really not that hard to determine if a certain person is a scammer or not due to those hints.

I doubt we're in a time where airport personnel are totally aware of what hardware wallets are, but as a paranoid person as I am, I wouldn't risk it.  You'd 95% likely to be totally fine though. Could I buy a hard wallet in my country, transfer crypto to it, then leave it behind in a safe place, then buy another same hard wallet in another country and using my passphrase get access to my crypto again?
Yes of course. That's what the 12-24 word backup is for. As long as other people have no access on your hardware wallet and your place is safe then you coins is also safe. Just don't let other people have an idea on where you store your hardware wallet and also don't forget where you place it. Maximize having multiple hardware wallet as long as you can afford them and you can manage them properly especially when you go in many places. |

It is sad that in reality, there is still adoption of bitcoin in terms of agricultural sector and this enlightened me that it can also be used in this type of locality.
Hoping that bitcoin will be applied in agricultural area so that they see how bitcoin works and this will be the edge for the bitcoin adoption in rural areas.

ATM bitcoin on gas stations or on shopping complexes doesn't make much difference. Because all are a public place and pretty easy to use as well. Increasing Bitcoin ATM means it easier to use your funds although transaction fees are quite high, at least there is real use. Bitcoin ATM is effective adoption for bitcoin. As much as Bitcoin becomes easy to use the value will increase rapidly. The value doesn't mean the only price, value fully depends on the community. I agree. I was just checking Alistair's Twitter for similar 'rumor' posts in the past. So far, I've found one:   There's a chance that the Facebook rumour came from someone. But this one? Just totally absurd rumour that he must've been trolling. Like for that rumour to literally have some slightest merit, it could've been at least an old quote from Satoshi himself. Before we believe on that we really need a strong evidence or source that will make that statement legit. If facebook will ever engage in cryptocurrency like bitcoin then it can be a possible positive effect in bitcoin's price in the market and people will panic. But before that, to see is to believe, just state his sources and we're ready to absorb his information. Rumors are only just a story without proofs. |

Wrong. Bitcoin is a currency not an investment. While I do believe that it should be considered by most people as a currency and not as an investment, I find it wrong to not consider it an investment. Bitcoin was introduced as a cash system, and thus, a currency, but an investment is any asset or item that will bring profit at some point in the future. I too was surprised that @pooya87 said that. Bitcoin was created as currency but as of today it is not. It is an investment and a store of value but not a medium of exchange. And I'm not sure it will be in the future either, because by Gresham's law, people tend to save and not spend the coins they consider valuable, being them a store of value instead of a medium of exchange. Bitcoin is only an investment if you buy it to trade it in a certain exchange like Binance. But normally, bitcoin is a digital currency and not mainly a store of value but due to volatility in the market, people are holding it when its price varies. The best time to buy and own bitcoin is during bearish market, that's when you will really appreciate how profitable bitcoin is when its price increase in bull run. |

And since the subject is security and the target audience are newbies, might as well add some pointers about ways to secure an account on an exchange site or trading platforms.
I'm using Metamask, only for my ETH but for bitcoin, I'm using a hardware wallet. I'm just not comfortable on using exchanges and digital wallets because hackers are flexible and skilled enough to enter your wallet. Also there are exchanges which are sometimes having problem with their platform. Security is also one of the problems that we can encounter in an exchange besides the existing of hackers. |
