1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Bitcoin useful as a currency if so few services accept it? on: March 17, 2020, 04:09:21 PM
I've done research on bitcoin and I know what it is and how it works, kinda. I've even built a small block chain app.

What I don't understand, and I haven't been able to find the answer to, is if I own some bitcoin, how does that help me buy groceries at the market, or gas for my car? The market I go to doesn't accept bitcoin and neither do the gas stations. If I can't do that, how is bitcoin worth anything to me?

If you cannot find any business accepting Bitcoin in your area, you might want to start it, assuming it is legally accepted in your country. That would attract Bitcoin supporters in your locality and might be imitated by other businesses. Other than that, Bitcoin is actually more acceptable online. Business in the outside world are normally attached to the usual fiat-based payments. You might also be able to use Bitcoin in peer-to-peer transactions.

Quote
Also, how are people supposedly getting rich with bitcoin? I thought it was a currency, where we can buy things. Then I find that it's also a commodity where we can trade it.

The fact that a single bitcoin was approximately equal to a few cents when it first came out, but now is worth tens of thousands, is very troubling.

This currency is just like the rest of the fiat currencies whose value is rising and falling. Moreover, you can also trade fiat currencies just like Bitcoin. The huge difference is that Bitcoin's value is generally appreciating while fiat's value is depreciating. Thus, the very observable rise in Bitcoin's value over time.

That, to me, is not troubling at all. It is much much better than fiat's system.

That's why we need to help bitcoin to achieve and improve its mass adoption just by promoting it in our own country. As the government see its advantages and disadvantages, we will not have a hard time accessing our bitcoin and it will increase the sectors that accepts it. The only reason that the bitcoin has a fewer service is that it is not that popular to some other countries. They don't adapt and seek knowledge about it, they are used to utilize only fiat currency because less hassle and easy to transact. But they don't know that in some circumstances during times like this that Covid-19 is spreading faster, they can use digital currency to have online transactions using bitcoin.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and KYC on: March 17, 2020, 12:57:53 PM
I'm a bit curious here. Why is it easier (compared to exchanges, payment processors, etc.) to run a gambling site without being forced to implement KYC/AML?

In my own view, it's because there is no pressure from the government. No hard and strict regulations imposed. Different from how fiat gambling is regulated.

Unlike in exchanges, gambling sites don't really hold their user's funds for a long time. It's like a gambler will just deposit on their gambling session, play and withdraw right away. If their user loses, no one to blame but themselves. Compare to exchanges where sometimes it was treated by a wallet by anyone, users here at least need protection.

But this is only my view as we all know gambling sites and exchange site does have a different nature on which the latter really needs a strong implementation of KYC for an obvious reason.

Because in gambling sites, there are rules and regulations that they must follow to avoid being reported and banned from the site. The money they've spend in gambling all because of their own decision and actions. The gambling site is not accountable for that if they lose all the money they have. KYC is not necessary and customers should be anonymous and all of the thing that they access is the wallet address for the gambling site to let them withdraw their money. It still depends on the gambling site if it wants to implement KYC to prevent those professional scammers to enter their site and harm other customers.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 17, 2020, 12:15:17 PM
We know that day trading or short time trading is like playing with wild fire, not may can handle it. That's y most player's end up in loss and very few are successful day traders.
Is that hold true for gambling also?

Ahmm, probably it can be. If we're going to consider the risk of doing both (gambling and day trading) because day trading requires a lot of fundamental and it's hard to do it without the proper knowledge, while in gambling it just all based on luck. Both risky to play, you know...

Are there gamblers here who are in profit overall?
Pretty much, there is.

I'm in quite lucky last week and earned some good amount on it.

Maybe because results varies in time, when you play gambling, the results are uncertain the same with trading. Everyday is another day, each day requires a reflection on what you will do for today, in other words, planning. If you experience losses in a day then study and learn from that mistakes so that you will minimize the money that you've wasted. This advice is applicable both in gambling and trading, you should always reflect on the things that you've done and learn how to manage your money. You need to make sure that you're getting more productive each day so that you will become an effective gambler or trader.
1164  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 16, 2020, 06:50:09 PM
How long will it last? What's the antidote for Corona?
Currently there is no telling when will it end but hopefully scientists and doctors around the world are doing their best to finish an antidote, vaccine and cure for this virus. Yes it crashes businesses but what can we do about it? Economy suffers when there is a crisis.

It will take 3 - 5 years to discover the vaccine for that Covid-19 because this virus suddenly appeared and we didn't notice that it can spread faster and faster. However, our scientist around the world are working extra and hard to study the virus and to find out what can cure it. In this kind of crisis, the countries should help each other to control their people to lessen the transmission of the virus. If it needs to implement lockdown to some part of a country, then the people must follow what government says. We all know that our economy is also affected because people aren't able to work and have no salary to feed for their family. Malls and community workers are suspended because they are also included in the lockdown. People aren't able to go outside and the market will decrease its volume, but buying goods is necessary during times like this, so in some ways it balanced. Good thing, there are some patients that are discharged from the hospitals and recovered from the Covid -19 and they can go home safely.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fraud crypto analysts! on: March 16, 2020, 06:07:07 PM
Before someone started to trade, there are basically trading rules to follow. And the rules are messed on how you can trade and minimize losses but maximize profits. It is all about how to have certain discipline in order not to loss by making profitable anlyses and predictions. Why all these, if trading should be the work of analysts. You call them analysts but they are scammers. Anybody can lose in trade and nobody is accurate than you learning it. It is easy to scam people this way, but, newbies are mostly scammed. The best is to analyze yourself and follow trading rules. If you do, it helps you become a good crypto trader than falling victims of scammers posing as a good analysts.

I believe in this post for sure. Being a good trader is about making little losses and big profit. Nobody goes into swimming with their eyes closed because if you do so, you might hit underneath rick. Therefore, you trade with care, not to put all your money chessing little profit. Paid group for signal is just a new found business.

Never believe and never trust easily most especially if you don't know the person or the account. Some analysts are trolls or fool you to caught your trust and attention and you will become their victim. Learn how to trade with your own and don't let your actions be affected by the other people. In order to become a responsible and legit trader, you must create your own plans and decisions and think of the things that will help yourself grow. Help yourself learn in trading, help yourself analyze the problems and make a solution for it. Don't rely on others, don't rely on analysts because they will just ruin your opportunity to earn money with yourself. Scammers are also those analysts that will put you to a big losses. Make your own prediction so that all the credits is yours and you will become accountable for your strategies and actions in trading.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 16, 2020, 05:32:02 PM
There are so many reason why a person would get addicted to gambling.
We have those who gets thrilled and those who sees it as an easy way to get a big amount of money,
We also have those who gamble to escape some problems.

One major factor that causes the addition to people is beacuse of the greedy behaviour as everyone wants more and easy money . Gambling is such thing which they think can help in achieving the quick money but chances of making such money is not that easy and in order to make such money they keep playing under assumption that sometime they will make big money and in process they get addicted to it and cannot leave it when they wish too .

Gambling is fun. Sometimes when you're lucky, it is an easy money for you that's why you will urge to gamble more and more. As you try hard to gamble, when you lose, you really want to bring back all the money you've wasted that can also result to another loss. The cycle continues until you have nothing to feed for your family or for yourself. Addiction is very common not only gambling, it is applicable to anything that we are enjoying or interested in. But in reality, gambling is never a source of money but a source of happiness and a stress-reliever. Still prioritize yourself, work and family so that you will not become addicted to gambling.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: March 16, 2020, 12:40:57 PM
I do not recommend you guys to play casino gambling as of this current situation on which COVID-19 is still spreading around the world, but if the virus passed away you may use this tips if you are going to play in casino gambling.

1. Limit your budget - If you are already in the casino gambling, it will be hard for you to control yourself from betting, so the best thing that you must do is to limit your budget before going to casino gambling.
2. Be comfortable on the place - you don't need to get panic while playing, being panic because if thinking that authorities may enter the casino and will arrest you. That is impossible because some casino buildings are legal and have legal paper. So do not panic because it will affect you while playing.
3. Know what games you should play - that is really important, you should play only on those game on which you know that you can win the game, actually, you should choose the game that requires skills and techniques to win.

Casino gambling more entertaining compared to online gambling because we can really feel the ambiance of the building and we can assure ourselves that we are playing on a legitimate games.

All of this tips could also be used at online gambling and it isn't just gambling you have to limit your budget but also in other things.
And it is true that it is better to play the game that you already know but there are some games that would be worth it to try and learn.

1. Limit your budget - If you are already in the casino gambling, it will be hard for you to control yourself from betting, so the best thing that you must do is to limit your budget before going to casino gambling.

Unfortunately, people don't know how to control their emotion that's why limiting the budget in gambling is useless. Greediness will brought  them to become out of control and spend their money until there's nothing left. They will suddenly forget the reason why they gamble and will go home sad and depressed but they are the one that creates their own source of stress. People should practice self-discipline and mindfulness so that distraction and greediness will not affect them and they can now manipulate their actions and thoughts without conflict. Limiting your budget is a good strategy but not everyone knows how to do it or to start and it will leave the people clueless on what to do next. Planning before gambling is a good option or a good way to start gambling to prevent having huge losses and huge money wasted. Also learn the basic rules in gambling so that you'll not be fooled by the gambling and other gamblers.
1168  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin was created for time like this! on: March 15, 2020, 08:46:34 AM
The market behavior that see bitcoin down to $3900 and bitcoin follows stocks, commodities and oil in all time sell off on Thursday should not discourage the bitcoin enthusiasts because people did not understand that bitcoin was created for time like this.

Of course, why we should be discourage, this is just part of the market behaviour, people panic is this kind of pandemic, but it the long run bitcoin can still recover from all of this scare and economic and geo-political issues.

Investors have not spent their time in studying bitcoin white paper and most of them did not have the knowledge of bitcoin be a safe haven during natural disaster like Corona virus as this is the best means of holding and transferring values without third-party involvement and services. I believe that our governments are going to see good in blockchain and promote it as the best means of using money during epidemic like Corona virus. To me this is blessing for bitcoin and the economic experts are going to see good in blockchain for the first time.

Maybe others have read bitcoin whitepaper and not understand it because they are focused on making money here. But we will have to see how the whole "bitcoin is a safe haven" narrative will be in the next coming months specially if the epidemic is not contained.

As people are prohibited to go outside to prevent the spreading of the virus, they can use bitcoin as a digital payment for them to not to go outside and make physical transactions. I believe that at some point, government will see the true advantages of bitcoin in our daily lives, most especially in a crisis like this. Some people thinks that bitcoin is a scam without even having some information and ideas about it so that people are scared to try. They are just focusing on using fiat currency while it is very dangerous to use it. People with the virus can touch the tangible fiat money and can infect the next holder of it. They should be knowledgeable and know how to use, hold, and promote bitcoin for a more safer transaction without a p2p. I'm hoping that the government in a more affected country uses it so that it can lessen the transmission of the virus from one person to another.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Coronavirus affects Bitcoin and when it will end on: March 15, 2020, 08:12:44 AM
According to the Reuters, China is successfully fighting Coronavirus and they reported that more people are cured from the virus than died.

There's nothing extraordinary about it, "more people are cured from the virus than died" means that mortality rate is below 50%, and there's actually few diseases in this world that have above 50% mortality rate.

It is safe to say now that coronavirus was behind the markets crash, stock, oil as well as Bitcoin.

There's no doubt that the virus crashed the stocks, but with Bitcoin it's not that clear, because technical analysis shows that Bitcoin failed to break past important resistance level, which might have triggered the bearishness. Basically, we don't know just how much influence does the virus have on Bitcoin.

Until then, you can count on prices dropping. When you look back at it, prices started dropping around the same time coronavirus was introduced by the media and fear started spreading.

I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will keep going down for months, the halvening is soon, and the market wants to be bullish, there's little chance for going down further, at worst we'll have another period of stagnation.

As the price of bitcoin drops these past few days and the covid-19 is trending and labeled as pandemic, I think that the virus contributed to that downward movement in bitcoin's price. Although we all know that even though the virus is not yet discovered, the bitcoin is already volatile and we have nothing to do about it. But on the other hand, workers are having a hard time earning money because of the community quarantine. I believe that due to the bad effects of the virus in our economy, digital currency is experiencing a wide economic problem due to the market. Resources are being limited and difficult to manipulate because if they continue to do so, they will risk their lives and can cause death. Always remember that before anything else, be mindful of your health and focus on taking care of every one that's beside you. Bitcoin will surely grow again soon and let our patience be in our priority.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What To Do? (For People Who Mostly Gamble on NBA Games) on: March 15, 2020, 07:25:36 AM
So what do you do nex?,  now that NBA has canceled some of the games this season? Will you just also  get a hold of being a gambler for the meantime? Or try another sports?

Actually, the NBA is just one of my preferred sports leagues to bet so even for let's say the 30-day suspension extends, it will not affect my gambling activity in general.

But the thing is, it's not just NBA but almost all of my preferred sports events cancel their respective games. Nothing left now on my list so I have no choice but to refrain from doing online gambling, "for now".

Right now, my only active bet is outside crypto, the famous "ending game" and the current league they covered was National Basketball League in Oceania Region. Well, the "ending game" admins here are trying to make their business continue even with the situation the world is facing today.

I really like playing basketball and it is my sport so I'm a fan of NBA. It is the most popular basketball league in the world so most of the population here in the world knows the NBA. In gambling, I used to bet in sports related gambling because I enjoyed watching NBA and at the same time supporting my favorite team. Unfortunately, the trending Covid-19 stopped the season temporarily to prevent the constant increasing of the infected by the virus. Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, and Mudiay were positive in the test so the NBA are alerted because of that.

But the thing is, it's not just NBA but almost all of my preferred sports events cancel their respective games. Nothing left now on my list so I have no choice but to refrain from doing online gambling, "for now".

If that's the case, learn to be patient and stop gambling for now. Save your money and put it in a more valuable thing like foods, health kit, and other things that will make you healthier to prevent the contamination of the virus. Use your money wisely, always remember that being healthy is the most essential thing here in Earth other that money. Health first before gambling, also if you have family to take care and feed for. After the covid-19 virus, everything will be okay and go back to normal. By that, we can now play sports betting again and the NBA season will continue.
1171  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 14, 2020, 04:31:47 PM
Have you seen how governments responded to the corona virus?

Quite simply, in Italy, the US and elsewhere, they will increase their budget deficit, and add debt
It is turning into a global crisis, I do not think they have other options.

In my understanding, that's very bad for fiat currencies, while BTC will remain unaffected, thanks to the lockdown on money supply.
Say that to the current price. 12.47% down in 24 hours, that is a huge drop. The crisis brought by COVID-19 should not affect bitcoin but it still affects the holders. We are just humans, we get scared, we panic and we panic sell. Hope we recover from this crisis soon.

Fiat currency circulates faster than digital currency and it is a tangible thing that can be passed from one person to another. You don't know how old a fiat money is, so you have no idea if that is still not contaminated by the virus. According to Gan Kim Yong, the COVID-19 can be passed if a person with the virus coughs and touched a certain surface and that surface is touched by another person and then touched his face. There's a direct and indirect process, we all know that money is one of the most contaminated because I'm sure that everyone already touched it from time to time.

So we need to wash our hands with soap for 15 - 20 seconds and wash it again with alcohol. Also avoid touching our faces after we touched a fiat money and always be mindful of our actions. I suggest to use your bitcoin if it is necessary and you really need something pay for your goods.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and mental health. on: March 14, 2020, 03:42:23 PM
For the suicide hotline for the country you're in<snip>
Jesus, I hope it's not as bad as all that for most people.  I totally agree: money is just money, and as much as I respect it and acknowledge its importance, it doesn't rule my life.  Nor does bitcoin; nor am I overinvested in bitcoin.  That last point is important, because I have a feeling that a lot of folks who invest in crypto do so with money they really can't afford to lose--and look at all these exchanges that are offering 100x leverage or similar.  Investors who bought bitcoin or altcoins on margin before about two days ago must have gotten slaughtered.

This situation with bitcoin doesn't depress me in the least.  I am a bit disappointed that I've been caught short of cash to buy it with, but I'm over it.

By the way, this is one great example of why bitcoin makes for a poor form of money.  If you're a bitcoiner who likes to spend bitcoin on stuff....you just lost a hell of a lot of purchasing power.  Don't flame me for that opinion, please.  I've expressed it before, and I'm sticking to it.

Don't you ever think that it is the end of the world just because the bitcoin's price strikes a downward movement. Never do something that you will regret for because there's always hope for a better future. For sure that downfall is just temporary and all of the holders are hoping for that to happen. I know that it is normal to become stress about that but you should control your emotion and become strong. There's no reason for you to stop and think of the things that will affect your life. You need to be patient and stable just by thinking of your next move and next strategies for more transactions. After you suffer emotionally, just learn to move on.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: March 14, 2020, 03:06:34 PM
But the question is , is this the right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? The assumption I am making here is  that the gambling addicts are addicts on sports betting and not casino game addiction or poker .

Perhaps, it is the right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction, and they can leave gambling for a while or forever because many sports games have been canceled because of the virus. But we still have online gambling games to play so you can change the games with the other gambling games, and perhaps, you can find another excitement with other gambling games.

You can choose for yourself whether you want to leave gambling games or you want to try other gambling games. But the point is you should know about the dangers of addicting to gambling. You have an option to reduce the addiction by taking a break from the sports betting for a while. We don't know when the sports will continue the event because the government is still trying to search for people who got infected by the virus.

There's nothing wrong with playing gambling as long as it doesn't affect your family, life, and friends. Most of the people are experiencing some problems related to mental and emotional problems as they become addicted to gambling. It's normal to seek entertainment and contentment in gambling but if you affect some people around then you need to stop. If you get addicted to it, you need guidance and advice from others for you not to end up being lost. There are many options other than playing gambling, you should invest for something that is more profitable and valuable, play some online games related to sports instead of betting on it. Don't waste the opportunity to fix yourself from gambling, it will really not help you to become rich and stable.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 14, 2020, 07:32:34 AM
I also wanted to make a thread about this. While the economy is suffering, I am wondering about the impact of COVID-19 on online gambling because it seems to be among a few things that aren't supposed to be in decline. On the contrary, gamblers that usually go to places are likely to be encouraged to play online. Crypto casinos are a big part of online gambling, so perhaps they also receive an increased amount of visitors. Not to mention that gambling might get popular as a way to distract and get relieved from all the stress triggered by the pandemic.
On our current situation, as we are now facing COVID-19, online gambling will be more used than real life gambling, there are a lot of people who are afraid of going outside because of the virus, so instead of playing real life casino, they will choose to play online gambling to avoid contact from other people, Crowded places are the most source of getting the virus because you may not know that one of your opponent can be positive in the gambling, and if he or she is positive from virus then for sure that the virus may pass to each and everyone inside the casino especially if the casino is so crowded.

Lets be specific mate "Play Using Cryptocurrency" lol.

i have been thinking to create same thread earlier but become busy so i got no time and now here you have already created one  Grin

People should consider not going to Casino Houses for now as the spread of virus is really alarming, doubling the affected day after day.

actually i have sent the same message to my friends that constantly playing in casino to try using Crypto gambling sites.
Indeed, I doubt that there are still some people who are willing to go casino gambling even we the virus is still spreading all over the world. Reminding your friend is such a good thing, if you really love your friend and he or she is still going to casino gambling then you should remind him or he on what can virus affect your friends.

Don't risk your life just by playing gambling outside or far from your house. This thread is very helpful for those who are confused if they will still gambling outside or just play online due to the Covid-19. It is very dangerous to go outside and don't let our greed in gambling make our life at risk. As you can discipline yourself, try not to gamble instead play games that will entertain you.Love your health before anything else, we can earn money but we can't be healthy easily without taking care of ourselves.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction threads on: March 13, 2020, 09:27:47 AM
I have seen countless threads about gambling addiction and I've been sharing my experiences on those threads, To be honest those threads helped me realized the failures I got from being a gambling addict. I'm just curious if those threads helped other gambling addicts here and do the threads helped them on changing.

Does the gambling discussion here about gambling addiction help you reducing your gambling activities or helps you to think that you need to change?

In reality, I see there are only a few here who really become addicted to gambling that needs serious attention. There are lots of threads about advice and how to get help on how to overcome being addicted to gambling but even how simple and easy those instructions, it's hard to do if the gambler itself didn't experience being in that situation.

I'm hoping that there are really gamblers here who got help by some threads here even for a few but as we know, from gambler's point of view, reading those long advice is boring and they will just realize that they should read those pointers after they lose big.
There's some point of threads are helpful especially to those gambler who are now experiencing an addiction through gambling. These threads give some gambler to realize their mistakes but the only one who can help them is theirself and the people whose around to gambler addict to support to overcome the addiction.

People always need someone to give them advice on how to overcome their problems in gambling. Every gamblers need some discipline and encouragement for them not to ruin their lives in wasting their money. Most of the gamblers are experiencing stress, depression and greediness that's why they have a hard time focusing on their work. You're lucky enough to read those opinions and advice, the only thing you need is to apply and practice it for you to really know the value of self-discipline. No one wants to ruin their lives just because of money, that's why gambling is just for people who want to become entertained and modify the stress they have. Some people are making a constructive advice so that it is not boring to read, professional gamblers are legit and easy to communicate with.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coronavirus and it’s impact on sporting events - please add on: March 13, 2020, 08:49:01 AM
Basically, almost every major competition are getting stopped.

Not good enough, thought by now all major football tournament will be stopped since it's more of a contact sport filled with audience in their thousands creating a more favourable environment for the Corona virus to be distributed to as much individuals as possible but I'm not impressed. Seems like the governing body of this leagues are more interested in the profit to be made then the health of the fans, players and employees of the stadium this matches are been played in.

I know "the show must go on" but when human health are at risk, the number one priority of any body overseeing any gathering or event should be to keep we (humans) safe from harm. Irrespective of how negative such decision will have to their business our life's is more important.

Most of the gamblers are betting in the NBA because people really like watching and playing basketball. There are many fan of basketball that's why when they know that NBA will suspend all of its game, people are unhappy because of that. Covid-19 can be easily transmitted transmitted because the virus stay at any places and it is microscopic so it is not easy to notice. Gamblers can only bet in a game like dice, roulette, and etc., as of now because we need to understand the situation now. There are many option in gambling, we should not only rely on the sports betting if we really like gambling. Health is important than money, and what is the sense of money if your life is at risk. I believe that health first before anything else. Keep safe everyone.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19: Do not worry the market worry on people. on: March 13, 2020, 06:35:32 AM
Not sure this corona virus or COVID-19 really affected the collapse of the crypto market, because this market works online
Indeed. Crypto market works online and it should be no problem with the coronavirus. I agree that it won't bring significant impacts to the trends on crypto market. But it probably has an impact if many crypto traders or investors get infected by the virus. It will make them not active in crypto market temporarily or forever. I assume people who said that coronavirus affects crypto market in this way.

We can consider also those miners or mining farm with high percentage located in China. So if these mining farms will be temporarily shut down because the government told them so, I think it will have an impact in bitcoin's price. Also, those manufacturers of mining equipment and gadgets are subjected to this temporary shutdown. And the shipping around the globe will stop for a while to combat the spread of this virus. Though online transactions will not be affected but other factors in bitcoin-related activities are suffering.

One more thing, blockchain conferences are also affected by this. So we are expecting them to cancel such crypto gatherings and this is bad for those projects that wanted exposure in the blockchain community to get potential investors.

All we have to do is to protect those miners or farm that isn't located in China but those who are in a places that is not yet infected by the virus. In Czech Republic and Iceland, they are far from the countries affected by the virus, so we still have hope to help our bitcoin miners to become safe and healthy from the covid-19. It is hard to see that bitcoin will continuously have a downward movement in the market if that happens. I don't believe that online transactions are not affected, there are some factors that needs to consider. Internet connection in some countries aren't stable, some apps are shutdown, some people are under investigation and need to be scanned. If they are quarantined, they will have a limited time to use their gadgets in accessing their crypto, and the volume in the market will surely decrease over time.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 13, 2020, 06:04:01 AM
Blockchain advocates have hailed the recent Indian Supreme Court’s pro-crypto ruling as a landmark for adoption and development. Now, new forces are emerging that seek to put the brakes on India’s rapid embrace of cryptocurrency.  What do you think about the future of crypto in India, guys?
That was a great move by india legalizing crypto in their country it really help the cryptocurrency adoption, following india I think south korea also making the same move. I am seeing most indian base project are also making some noise right now.
With India, it's somehow interesting how it took this step now without a previous pre-announcement, while the Indians with the rest of world are busy with other stuff.
India was always known by it's fight against legalising the use of the crypto popularly.
I wish if op can provide the source of the news he told about, just to avoid unnecessary confusions .

During hard times due to the Covid-19, we need a good news like this. Mass adoption is really gaining more people in some part of the world and it will really help us achieve our goal in cryptocurrency. India has the 2nd most largest population in the world and it will become a good factor for the cryptocurrency to grow. Hopefully, India reach its goal to legalized cryptocurrency in its country and I know that people will not have a hard time promoting it. Again, due to the virus, I think South Korea will encounter some hard time to pass the movement of legalizing the cryptocurrency in their country. But as a crypto user, i'm hoping for them that they will also be successful just like India.
1179  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave crypto trading in lost condition is not an option. on: March 12, 2020, 07:06:04 AM
Some people keep try get income using crypto trading method but always fail. They wasting everything ( money, energy, time, etc ) into something that might be just dream ( profit ). There's time when I give advice to try another way but they always refuse. For them there's no other choice, leave crypto trading forever in lost condition is not an option must take the fund back. The question is why convince people to leave crypto trading for their own good is really hard?. I'm not laughing when people get lost in trading but there's limit shouldn't pass, so please don't misunderstanding.
First of all, crypto trading (especially day trading) is not for everybody and leaving crypto trading while try another means of crypto investment like long term holding could be the right option.
With that been said, learning from one's previous is always the right decision.

I like the idea of using crypto as the long term investment if he cannot get any profit with the short term trade. He can use another thing to make money than to expecting to make money from crypto. I believe that he will have another opportunity to make money in other fields because perhaps, he will use his skill in the right fields.

Selecting to leave crypto trading in lost condition will be an option as long as he doesn't sell all of his coins at a low price because he will not have a chance to make a profit when the price increase back. I think he can leave crypto trading for a while with the coins insides his own wallet and don't keep the coin in the exchange's wallet, so he doesn't have to worry from the bad things that can happen, while he can also search for another thing to make money.
I gave an unquestionably yes to your statement because no matter how good someone is if such person allow fear and greed to take over him such person has already lost the battle before it begin.
With that been said, i never believe every crypto traders and investors can totally make lose if he didn't panic sell and hold his coins till when it halving while he also strategist best means that's good for his knowledge

During hard times, giving up is never an option but to become more inspired and determined to stand again. If you stop trading, you will never get back the money you loss and that's not how trading works. Every time you fail in trading, every time you loss a certain amount of money, there comes a new lesson you need to learn. Most of the people who loss their money, give up. You need to understand that in order to become a good trader, you need to experience ups and downs in trading. You need to become more firm and strong during downfall, and you're the only one who can help yourself to end that suffering. By that, you can now think of an effective strategies, plans that will benefit your account to become more successful in trading.

Always remember the no. 1 rule in trading, never give up and learning is an active process.

-snip-
1. There's endless possibilty of good and strong password, but never neglected that hacker being an a##hole never stop them to steal your things digitally.
2. For 2 FA , i preferable authy beside normal GA, since authy more convenient to use and have backup solution which using your phone numbers or mail
3. This one is the main attack of many hackers, since wallet got installed to this device. For suggestion i've got something better which using ledger or nanos. If u want to try it, then check them out before u want to buy it.
4. Just kindly remind that u need backup for yourself, which will help u later just in case u forgot something or password ( i ve made many backup hidden in my house..LOL ) .

And i want to add something just to remind about wallet. Do backup your wallet befero u transfer it to your address, give them good enough password to protect and never follow someone who asking u  to typing something on console screen. I've meet person who asking for help on internet and give them access remotely on screen only. But that doesn't stop hackers to get what they want, which is very important. Yes..private key .. thank god he only give them address which have no bitcoin there.
Well said mate, hacker is hacker they will try their best to steal your property, money, and even your wallet, so you should be so careful and make ways to secure your account correctly, there are so many ways that you can use to protect your account, as what I have posted above as well as on your post.

Yes, the private key must be so safe because it is your way to access your wallet. If you share it with anyone, then it will be easy for them to access your account. So the best thing you should do is to keep it on yourself, do not trust everyone here, because the only person that you must believe is only yourself, because at the end of the day no one will stand on you. Being selfish about this case is not bad; you are just protecting yourself or your account from hackers.

Furthermore, do not use any other devices that isn't yours including, laptop and cellphones. There are some circumstances that you can forgot to log out your crypto accounts or wallet so there's a possibility that the people who own that device might hack you. Safety first and always use your device no matter what happen and take care of your belongings to prevent loss. You're the only one who is responsible for your account and don't let anyone make you give them your account wallet.

Hackers are very good at fooling people so before they catch you up, learn how to prevent being hacked. Seek information on how you will protect your cryptocurrency so that you'll not be worried and you'll become comfortable accessing your crypto wallet. Strong passwords are really helpful and effective, I used a long and hard to memorized password so that they can't easily remember my password once they got it.

But when you got hacked, be accountable for that, and that means that your effort is not enough when protecting your accounts. So as early as you can, before that happens, learn and practice increasing the security of your wallet because it is not easy to earn the money that you have there.
