Did you folks with 3.0 Kg orders also have Power supplies? There are reports that Bitmain will ship PSU's in advance of the miner itself.

I would think 3.0 Kg as being "light" for the miner.

No PSU ordered here just a miner

My order/pay date was 9/8/2015. I just checked my UPS account and it now shows the shipment with a tracking number. It has a delivery date of 10/19. nothing from Bitmain yet so anyone else waiting should check with their shipper to see if yours is on its way.

EDIT: China   10/15/2015   3:56 A.M.   Order Processed: Ready for UPS

My order/pay date was 9/6/2015 and I still have no info yet.  We may be getting close!

It's irritating that people who ordered after me are getting shipping info. My order/pay date was 9/5. Like some of you, this morning my order has been changed from "shipped" with no other info to "unshipped". Still no tracking info either from Bitmain or FedEx.

This is my second order. I used coupons for that order. Maybe they prioritize shipping based on how much money they made, not the order that payment was received?

Or maybe since I complained by email (even though I was professional) my order has been de-prioritized.

More likely it's just chaos over there.

I used a coupon on my order.

Mine has changed to "Unshipped" also...I guess it's to fix that little snafu.  I am concerned about hearing that 9/8 orders are being shipped and my 9/6 order is still silent.

Which shipper is yours coming?
165  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 15, 2015, 02:27:19 PM

Kind of the same thing here. I thought a few pages back someone else reported a under weight declared amount and they had to pay part of the shipping due to it? But with what I see it looks like mine was a void pickup at 6:48 but must have been ok at 8:54 when it was scanned again?

Has your send details on Bitmain been updated?

I noticed my send details changed from shipped on 9-28 (which we know as incorrect) to unshipped in the last couple of hours.
My order is from 9/7 and via Fedex.  I haven't received any notice from Bitmain or Fedex and am assuming my units have still not shipped, but am intrigued by the send details change.

I did notice mine had changed as well on my Bitmain account to "unshipped" not sure what to make of it.

My order/pay date was 9-8-15 also. And I got an email notification from UPS today so I checked the tracking and this is what it shows:

Two things jump out at me as issues, one the weight is wrong, according to Bitmain it should be 4.5kg not 3, and also notice that it says "Void Pickup", I assume that means that they cancelled the shipment. I ordered two on two different days, I hope they don't hold this one and then ship them both at the same time.

As promised, here are more photos from the Shenzhen facility of Bitmain. Thanks again for their hospitality. I have a video of their miners hashing aswell, I'll upload it later on.

They said they were busy with packaging the miners and shipping them. I hope you guys get yours soon too.

Thank you for posting! I think I seen my miner  sitting there 😉

It may have been nice if we were given the option to get a faster delivery with the 4.6+ miner than wait for the 4.8+ as it looks like some of the batch 2 may get theirs before us in batch 1.

If you think about it, batch 2 IS batch 1.

I agree but batch 2 is @$250 cheaper. It will be hard to justify the higher price for batch 1 which has not shipped yet, even with the .027 compasation.

I understand your reasoning there.  I think I voiced something similar earlier in the thread.  I appreciate your calm attitude while voicing your opinion without name calling.  I think it's wise for all us to remain calm and patient to see what "compensation" is to come.  They might even throw coupons into the mix with the "compensation" for those who had late shipments and/or rigs below specifications.  I'm just going to be patient and allow them the opportunity to make good on their period of unfortunate events.

Could they have been better with communication?  Yes.  Will they learn from this?  Yes, I believe they will.  Only time and patience will tell.

Cheers M8

EDIT:  They are probably short handed, especially with the price of bitcoin these days.  They have batch 2 and 3 orders [/b]to fill; quality control with board testing, etc...  I can only imagine what all they have to do right now.  Especially, after awakening to the defective boards.  They may have decided to focus more of their time [With limited man power] on testing boards and shipping, than taking the time to look up the email for each order yet to be filled and sending them communication to apologize for the delay with explanation for compensation.  We have no idea how stressed they may be at this particular time with this unfortunate mishap.  In time, we may find their quality and communication improved through trials and errors.

I believe your right. It seems to me this happened in the past (maybe with the S1's) when Bitmain was consatrating on shipping that a lot of people received their miners before they got email tracking numbers. That is when we learned to watch your UPS account for shipping info.

I agree. Said that awhile back. Batch 2 and 3 popped up too fast. Just more QA was taking place, probably disappointed customers.
Waiting for $35K worth of miners. Please ship Bitmain, I know you have your ears on.

Yes, more QA taking place.  I wish people would refrain from rude comments without giving BITMAIN the opportunity to follow through to completion their "compensation" for those who had to wait.  They may find themselves regretting their rude comments later on.  I understand their disappointment cause I'm still waiting for close to $20K worth of S7's myself.  However, I feel one should still remain "professional" if and/or when problems arise to avoid stress, regrets, burning bridges, etc...

I have run my own business for quite some time now [Since 1997].  I've had my own share of regrets when saying things I should not have said and doing things I should not have done.  I ended up learning "the hard way" from my own mistakes and times of lacking patience in the past.  I've become a bit more mature in my business dealings with age.

I know of a time when I failed to meet a deadline for a customer and held them up for one week.  The dude cursed me out over the phone [But I remained calm and consoling].  I ended up making it up to him without getting irate back at him and avoided burning bridges.  He ended up apologizing for his rude comments and we ended up being good friends to this date and we play golf together on occasions.

I'm saying all of this just to say we might want to give BITMAIN full opportunity to make good on their unfortunate events that have occurred as of late without being rude.  If they had messed up, I think they would like the opportunity to make good on their mess up without being railed upon.  Being rude doesn't help anything.  It only fuels more hate and discontent [Possibly from both parties].  I can understand "chewing someone a new ass" if that particular someone has been a complete ass hole.  However, I'm not necessarily condoning "chewing a new ass" either.   Cheesy

Patience, truly is a virtue!  If things do not come out as hoped, I still believe karma bestows what is deserved in the end for both parties.  It's okay to have a grievance where it is due.  I just believe those grievances can be voiced without being rude.  There was a time when I would chew someone a new ass like a Marine drill instructor.  I've found [By learning the hard way through the years] is best to try to refrain and be the better person if you can, especially in business dealings.  Doing so [I've found] can be imbibed from the receiving party and end up being fruitful for both parties in the end.

Cheers M8's

I agree and everyone just needs to think back on how much compensation they got from BFL for the miners that were months (year+)  late. At least Bitmain excepted his mistake and has said he will make good.

Isn't BW the same as LKETC who made a shitload of Dragon miners back in the day? They're not new although the 14nm thing could well be vaporware. The Dragon was based on a 28nm chip made by someone else so it's hard to believe how they suddenly have the ability to make a 14nm one.

Anyway, on topic, at approximately ~0.027 BTC per day our compensation after 3 days should be around $20 per S7.

I just read the article, although I know nothing about them outside of the article.

Yay, I have $180 so far that will likely be taxed in creative ways to reduce it further. \o/

Is the .027 after electric cost that Bitmain is deducting? I know we rather have the miners in hand but I guess I am glad that we should at least get good miners and glad Bitmain has offered compensation for the delay upfront. So, my four units are supposedly on the truck for delivery today... But they also were supposed to have been delivered yesterday but they were held up by customs, who wasn't working...

Now they are showing that there is a duty due because customs or UPS classified them as an 'power supplies greater than 500W'

...

No end to the inanity from every party involved.

What was your order date?

Ordered on Day 1, USD Payment confirmed 09/02

It would seem that mine were just outside the cutoff for the 'first wave' of miners to go out, noting that confirmed payment dates all the way to the 6th are arriving this week.

Also it would appear that they tried their best to send those of us who purchased 'early' the full rate miners, or several of us just got lucky.

Again, the communication is poor, but delivery is what counts.  Who all is still waiting on B1 miners?

Me... ordered/paid 9/08 and still nothing in UPS system being shipped to me.
174  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 13, 2015, 02:19:18 PM
I called DHL this morning.

Package is stuck in Customs in Cincinnati.  No progress since Sunday night.  The status went from an estimated delivery yesterday to "unknown".  Apparently Bitmain called and started a trace yesterday, due today.

I choose DHL because of Customs warnings with FedEx, and paid a higher shipping charge due to that.  Is UPS any better?

I have bought many miners from Bitmain and never had a problem with UPS. Have watch the miners come thru Alaska to Kentucky and be delivered to me in less than 3 days total.
175  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 13, 2015, 09:08:51 AM
I am beginning to think that they had the 2015-09-28 00:00:00 labels already made for all of the orders. When they realized that their were problems with the chips, they held off on shipping.

If you have already printed thousands of shipping labels with the orderid references, you really wouldn't want to reprint them all. That's my suspicion at this point since I have had to do large shipping label runs in a previous life.

Ufo

I disagree with you as all these unshipped miners showed up yesterday morning as being shipped.

I had 2 orders marked as shipped; the first from 9/9 and the second from 9/18.

Trust me neither one is shipped yet with those dates. They marked just about all as "shipped"
177  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 12, 2015, 04:22:07 PM
I ordered 4 on 9/6/2015 so it may take a couple more days to get the actual shipping information.  Right now it just has Date 2015-09-28 00:00:00 under Ship Detals.  Carrier and Tracking No. are both blank.

I just don't get Ship Date Date 2015-09-28 00:00:00 at all.  It's not logical.

My order/pay date was 9/08 and it shows same as yours. Mine is not showing up in the UPS system so it has not been sent yet.

Just checked my Bitmain account and my order from 9/8 is marked shipped but UPS shows no such item in their system.

EDIT: wondering since they are talking compensation  for being late if they have done just what someone else said about just printing labels. will watch my UPS account closely to see when the package enters their system.

Sounds as it very well may be another week before they ship.

Dear loyal customers,

We're sorry to inform you that we didn't make the shipment of some orders today as promised. When we did the last spot check, we found some issues which cannot be delivered to you directly, engineers are working on it now and shipment should be arranged before end of next week.

Dear loyal customers,

We are sorry that the deliver of some of our orders has been delayed. We will give a form notice here regarding to this issue tomorrow morning, Hong Kong Time.

Thank you for the update. I hope the notice tomorrow is more informative to all of us waiting.
180  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 09, 2015, 10:50:02 PM
Still no word on my 4 units...

Ordered 8/30 @16:47, payment confirmed 9/1 @ 10:54.

Will be asking for a full refund and to send the power supplies back,
If I get refunded but hung with the power supplies I will call it a win.

:/

I ordered and paid on Sept. 2nd with BTC. My account on bitmaintech.com still shows the order as unshipped, but it is definitely shipped out. The only reason I know this, is that UPS called me to set up brokerage to import into Canada. They provided me with the tracking number at the same time. It's very possible that your order is already shipped also, especially since yours was paid a day before mine.

Update:

I was able to paste my order ID from Bitmain into the UPS track by reference interface and see that I have 4 units scheduled to arrive on Monday, currently sitting in Osaka.

I am somewhat lackluster about this, I hope that 4.86 miners are on the way, will give the benefit of the doubt until they show up on Monday.

Not particularly thrilled about having to manually dig for my status.  It sure would have been nice of them to send us shipment and tracking information.  Especially since my order has shown as 'shipped' since 09/02 when they sent the power supplies (another item they could spend some time or BTC to develop a software fix for (partial orders)).  Never have I dealt with a company on a >$5k USD transaction that has been so unresponsive, and Bitmain has been much better about this in the past, which is somewhat foreboding.

Will report back once the miners arrive and are setup.

Given that I ordered on Day1, don't have HW yet, suspect that it will under-perform, said HW is already selling for $1k less than I paid, and delivery is at the EXTREME outside of the window...

I am not as excited as I was on 'Day 1' :\

What number are you putting into ups by reference?

If you sign up for a free UPS My Choice account you can check if there is anything in their system coming to your address. No number required. The other nice thing and the reason I signed up is Bitmain requires a signature on delivery so I get on and have UPS delivery to my local UPS store and just stop after work and pick it up.
