161  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling GTA5 FOR 20Eur!! on: August 24, 2015, 10:09:00 PM
What exactly are you offering here? The download of GTA5 or a version of GTA5 on discs? GTA5 on Steam, or on another party?

I'm still looking to buy GTA5, but I think you're price is a bit low.. (and therefore not trustworthy).

i buying 500 dollar of amazon gifts code

from bipolarbob

it shuts down my accounts and they demand call them

he is scammer  Angry

I dont think bipolarbob is a scammer. Its more likely you thought based on the trust I already see.

And most of his cards are legit, cause I won something in the past by him and bought something off amazon.

I share your vision, as I already mentioned a few posts ago (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1158954.msg12222969#msg12222969). I've received multiple giftcards for multiple sites (Steam, Amazon etc), and they were and are all legit. People should stop calling him a scammer, BiPolarBob gave already away more than $10.000s worth in giftcards only on this forum. People should accept that great people still exist Smiley.

- -

However, it is good to warn people for illegal Amazon Gift Cards like this topic does. Remember: if something appears too good to be true, it often is. Especially the (very) new members on this forum are likely to offer illegal giftcard codes. I think you can still buy these cards of trusted members of this forum (as they are not likely to ruin their account for just a few bucks) - go look for some trusted members if you are looking to buy such giftcards or use proven websites such as Gyft and Egifter (as has been mentioned before).
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Digitalcoin [DGC]. An Anonymous, Instant and Secure Digital Currency. on: August 24, 2015, 10:02:07 PM
Wondering why you have created a new thread about Digitalcoin. What happened to the old one?

The ANNs are still there. First one started by baritus (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209508.0), second by kenel (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=785601.0), so hopefully this one will be permanent.

is this the new official thread of Digitalcoin. Wondering because there are several open thread :/

This is the new official DGC thread.

The first and second were done by retired community members who still use their personal accounts.

I have the same questions. How does it matter that retired community members have created the previous topics with regard to DigitalCoin? I mean, the topics still exist and continue to exist..

However, I'll regularly check this topic from now on too, as DigitalCoin is my all-time favorite altcoin Smiley.
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEWARE AMAZON using Gift Cards on: August 24, 2015, 09:57:06 PM
You can buy AGC free-of-risk from gyft at 5% off,

If you pay peanuts you get monkeys Cheesy

Indeed. I often see people suggesting to use Gyft for buying these cards. Some people also recommended Egifter (https://www.egifter.com/) to buy such giftcards. You might need to pay a bit more than you have to pay for such gift cards on this forum, but now you're sure these cards are legit. In the end, it might spare you some money (as you do not end up with a illegal gift card - and therefore your balance deducted).
165  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining dead ? on: August 24, 2015, 09:54:06 PM
Electricity still be done if it's free.
Bitcoin continuously falling in very bad condition now.

Even with free electricity I don't see a GPU making ROI.  Your talking about a decent investment.

And GPU just does not pull in what they once did.   Feel free to show some ROI math, but I dont see it recovering GPU cost anytime soon.

Some people got stacks of (used) GPU's for different reasons. I know some people in my neightbourhood that use to buy used desktops from people. They use these (used) parts for fixing computers of other peoples (hard discs, power units, mo-bo's and sometimes also GPU's). However, in doing this, they got plenty of GPU's (as they obviously don't have to replace these parts as for examble mobo's, memory of power units).

Although these are old GPU's (with little hashrate), you still can build a decent hashrate grouping these GPU's. BUT, this is only profitable if you've got the electricity for free indeed (and even then, it's not really worth taking care of it.. or dealing with the heat).

If you mine on new gpu centric coins with a gpu and constantly pump and dump and switch coins theres still a slim chance.. but more than likely will not ROI

That's true. In fact, you should be lucky enought to mine a very new coin which becomes popular later on. That's a way in which GPU mining still can be profitable (and that's the way how I succeed to cover the costs of buying almost a whole new desktop Smiley ).
166  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 24, 2015, 09:48:14 PM
Money should always be on the move. They should work for you, and so do not see the point of simply store. The best way is to put them into action.

I would like to hear your view on this.

I don't really agree with you, as I suggest EVERYONE to got some spare money (in order to be able to cover unexpected costs).. Otherwise you will have to loan money etc.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 24, 2015, 09:47:15 PM
Most of the people thinks they want to recover their money from where they lost. This is very foolishness but we need to accept this is the fact. However by end of the day they will loose even more.

That is - indeed - the kind of habit I tried to explain earlier. First, they start thinking they can make some money. As soon as they start loosing money, they will gamble 'a few more times' in order to recover the costs. However, then this process starts over and over again: trying to cover costs will often lead to more costs (as, if they can recover the costs, they still want to make some money).. It's addictive.

Bullshit. I've got many codes of BiPolarBob (of multiple websites) and all were legit. In fact, none of them have been reducted. Therefore you're talking rubbish, but I don't think anyone here is taking you serious.

- -

If these codes are legit, (as you've got receipts), I think you will be alright too. It's sad that you can access your account now, but soon or later it will be solved. Please keep us updated!
169  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [wts] Steam wallet codes. on: August 23, 2015, 10:10:37 PM
can you provide proofs of purchase or something?

This, or some other proof to proof that you obtained these codes in a legal way. Looking at your prices (and your new account) I have serious doubts about whether these codes are legally obtained (and not fraudently). If you can provide this proof, I'm willing to buy a code.
170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have 0.02 btc , want to invest on: August 23, 2015, 10:06:56 PM
It's like saying I have 5$, where to invest? You can't do anything with that. You have to work at the real job and make real money. Then you can make investments with that income.

He might be the lucky one who can buy a specific kind of altcoin for $5 which might become very popular (and expensive) later on.

Remember the first days/weeks/months of Bitcoin. I would love to have invested $5 in Bitcoin that time Wink.
171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: August 23, 2015, 10:05:18 PM
I was looking for some information, this place had that.. I had to filter through it all, to get at what is useful, for what I have needs for in Bitcoin.. great place.. adventure and intrigue... I recommend this to anyone.. better then a sitcom

I think our situations are the same. As soon as I read about Bitcoin and wanted to know more about it, I found out this forum. Especially the Dutch part this forum cleared up a lot of things for me about Bitcoin.

Since then, I've been active on this forum. Although this differs a bit each week: when I've got some spare time, I mostly spend this time on this forum.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it illegal to purchase and use the Gift Cards, ie Starbucks, Steam? on: August 23, 2015, 10:03:04 PM
But one thing to keep in mind. If you do buy and use these you are supporting credit card fraud, plain and simple. If no one bought these, criminals wouldn't have an incentive to steal or buy stolen credit card info. Its that simple.

It is not that simple. Often when you buy such gift cards, you simply do not know whether they are legit or not. A seller can mention that they are legit, but they might be fraudently obtained. So, you don't decide to support credit card fraud in that situation.

Not all cards on this forum are illegal / fraudently obtained..
173  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: Grote guldencoin topic - Nieuwe Portemonnee v1.5 - Browser plugin Nocks on: August 22, 2015, 04:59:23 PM
What a great idea to accept GuldenCoind and Bitcoin to buy Dutch giftcards! Well done Lennart!

Are you also planning to sell International gift cards - for example for Amazon.com?
174  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: August 22, 2015, 04:56:02 PM
The best way to save money - invest successfully!

To invest successfully first you need to save money then only you can think of investing. So investing is different from saving money.
plus, investing isnt risk free, you might actually end up losing money if the investment fails. setting aside some of your income and never touching it until retirement or some other later time is a good way to save money on a regular basis.

You're right. The only investments that can be really profitable, are also the ones that can also cause a huge loss.. The more risk, the higher the possible interest.

Besides that, the money you've invested in investments can't get back to you very soon: after investments takes a lot of years. As soon as unexpected costs arise, you might have to loan money in order to cover these costs.. Setting some money aside (in a bank) is the smartest choice.  If your bankaccount hits a limit that you have to pay much tax on your money than you earn interest, you might consider to hide some cash at home. But I think that's not really suitable for us.
175  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining dead ? on: August 22, 2015, 04:53:11 PM
I'm thinking to buy r9 to mine

Really? Please use a calculator in order to calculate your costs and (way less) income. Buying brand new GPU's in order to start mining, or even buying GPU's to start mining, is not a smart decision as GPU-mining is not likely to be profitable anymore. Unfortunately..

Usually, the individual who makes the money, getting rich, etc. will be the one who owns the casino. Player beating the casino is possible but still very unlikely.
Unless you are betting just for the fun, (or with play/faucet money) I wouldn't even suggest it.

Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you on that point. Casino's are made to be profitable, and so they will be.

However, for every individual (even the gamblers) a casino can also be profitable. I remember years ago when I and some friends went to the casino for someones birthday. One friend, who has never been in a casino untill then, earned over €400 in fruit machine with only spending about €20.   That is what I was talking about Wink.

(And somehow he does not go often to a casino since then. Although I think this relates more to his (current) financial sitation than a very strong character).
177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: August 21, 2015, 12:41:39 PM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if...the price is going back to $1000

Nah, that's way too less man Wink.

I think these days are great moments to stack up your BTC and buy even more. If the prices are rising, you can afford to sell atleast a few to cover all your previous costs. And then you still have some BTC for the long future Wink.
178  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: August 21, 2015, 12:40:29 PM
as far as i know the best internet marketing methods right now is "Mobile First" you should promote your business based on mobile application right now,all you have to do just make your website appear fast and functional on any mobile device.
For more information check this out
http://www.adweek.com/socialtimes/5-ways-a-mobile-first-strategy-can-integrate-online-and-offline-marketing/619803

I think that really depends on what you are offering. For serious orders, such as booking holidays or travel trips, I think people still like to do this via a laptop or desktop (maybe because of the huge amounts of money that are related).

Although I use my cellphone a lot, I don't use it to buy online stuff. I Always use my desktop for that. Yes, I use to surf a lot too on my cellphone, but the actual orders (and that is what it is all about) come from my desktop.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: August 21, 2015, 12:33:18 PM
DICE is just addictive for most people. Unless you have a script or method thats profitable, it merely comes down to the addiction of just not stopping.

I really wanna know how to apply those "scripts" in real gaming.

I don't think there is a kind of script that makes it profitable: It all comes down to the way how the dice is programmed. All casino games are programmed in such way that, in the end, the casino actually makes money in stead of losing money. There is nothing to do about that.

Although this does not mean that you as an individual cannot make a great profit. In fact, you can. Some use martingale technics to use on dice games: double your bet if you lose the previous.

I do respect people with minimum wage jobs, especially in areas with social welfare programs, such as where I live....and that's because they get paid marginally higher than people that are on social welfare and sit at home collecting other people's taxes, while contributing nothing.  I do understand that there are some legitimate cases where people are down on their luck and end up in unfortunate situations, but it's also something that is very widely taken advantage of by others.

You guys should stop quoting all these messages at some point in order to keep it easy to read.

Minimum wages have advantages and disadvantages. Disadvantages in the sense that you interupt the free market. However, I think it has some advantages as people do get paid an acceptable wage for their work.

However, we've seen problems with increasing wages (which is the case when minimum wages are implemented). I'm not sure which particular country it was, but it was a country in which many clothes are made.

The current clothing industry pays these workers very little. What happend was that they collectively stopped working in order to increase their wages. They succeed; wages have increased. However, clothing companies thought these workers were too expensive now and these moved towards other countries. Result: many people unemployed and thereby many people who have to live from a wage that is even far less than they had in the first place.

I have heard different arguments on both sides of this debate. On the one hand, if we were to mandate that everybody be paid $10 and hour, why are we not mandating $15 an hour or even $20 an hour. People have argued at the end of the day you determine how much you are worth, depending on your skills and experience. On the other hand, the implementation of minimum wage prevents employers from paying slave labor.

In the end, we should have a minimum wage level everywhere in the world. If that level has been reached, it makes no sense that this increases to for example $15 per hour. Why? Because prices will just rise.. It is all about the so called "purchasing power": how much you can buy with your money.
