Does anyone know how to clean up my signature line to get rid of the "ICO" portion?

@Epsylon3 - Do you know of a .bat file setting to get the proper hash rate to show up on a pool?  I should get around 18 mh/s but my specs constantly show 7-12 mh/s.  Is there something I should do different?

I currently use:

ccminer-x64 -a lyra2Z -o stratum+tcp://us-east.zcoin.miningpoolhub.com:20581 -u ****** -p ****** --show-diff
pause

Thanks - pokeytex

You've touched on a pet peeve of mine, please excuse the following rant.

Mining performance is measured by hash rate. The miner measures the hash rate of all scans. The pool measures
the hash rate of submitted shares. The problem is not 100% of the scans result in a submitted share. There are therefore
time gaps that reducethe effective hash rate. The miner needs to factor the failed scans to get an accurate effective
hash rate.

Latency is also a source of error. The pool measure the time from when it sent the work until the share was received.
The miner measures the time when it started hashing until it found the solution. It does not include processing or
network transmission.

There is also the issue of averaging. Most pools use a 5 minute average hash rate. If share submissions are regular the
displayed hash rate should be consistent but if shares are submitted infrequently the displayed hash rate can vary
wildly from zero to 2 or 3 times the actual hash rate depending on how many shares were submitted in the window.

@joblo - I have never had it explained to me like that before.  That makes a world of sense now.  Thank you so much for the insight! - pokeytex

@Georgem - My new Rpi3 with 64gb chip is coming tomorrow.  I plan on getting the node up and running this weekend.  Is there a tutorial for installation?  I am primarily a Windows user with basic knowledge in Linux - specifically Debian Jessie - (Rpi O/S)....  Thanks - pokeytex

Fantastic.

I will create a small tutorial later today.
It's not that hard.
If you already have your raspberry OS installed and can access it through SSH,
then the rest is easy peasy.

@Georgem - I have tried and failed to get the daemon running.   Huh  Unfortunately, I don't know enough linux to make it work.  I was able to import the tar file and can't get farther then that.  LOL  - I am such a noob.  I will wait for your tutorial.

Thanks - pokeytex

WOODCOIN UPDATE

Greetings citizens of middle earth.

I have been working on yet another client for the woodcoin network:

https://github.com/funkshelper/woodcore

When this goes live we will have the option of woodcutters signaling, and people using, segregated witness transactions.

It's probably a good idea to throw this out there as a request for comments before I get much further.

What do you think?

Until then of course, and even after, the original client and source tree are still validating the chain and enabling interaction:

https://github.com/funkshelper/woodcoin

There are a number of contributions still oustanding on this task, including adapting and performing all the relevant unit tests.  Your efforts will be generously compensated.

@funkenstein - would you elaborate on this "woodcutters signaling, and people using, segregated witness transactions" in layman's terms please?  I am not that technical.

Wolf0's miner does 780kh on the 750ti

then 2500 is possible on the 1070 with heavy optimization

i'm very interested if you can pull it off

** same here ** But it will need to be stable of course.

Truly sorry @georgem - funds are tight this month I haven't placed my new Rpi3 order yet.

No need to apologize, I am looking forward to your feedback, and thanks for your support. Smiley

By the way, just on a sidenote,  there is a tested Raspberry Pi 3 version of the Spreadcoin Daemon ready for your download:

http://spreadcoin.info/downloads/SpreadCoinARMv864.tar.xz

It's a 64bit ARMv8 build, so it won't work on older Raspberry Pi's, but it works very well on the Raspberry Pi 3.

Anyone already tested the raspberry Pi 3 build?

Come on guys, work with me!   Smiley

Feedback would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Truly sorry @georgem - funds are tight this month I haven't placed my new Rpi3 order yet.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: March 06, 2017, 11:42:34 PM

We've secured a few social media domains, but are there any specific ones you would like to us add?

Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, r/ are done.

As helium is a very unique brand within payments, the network can be very aggressive if wants to be in pursuing anyone that attempts to cyber squat or ripoff the brand.

Some people won't like that we're thinking about social media - but over the next few years, that's where average Joe public spend their time. The network can decide on this things much later on. Let's just think about securing some channels first.

Apart from Pornhub, I think you've covered all your bases.

Well I was up at 5am speaking with the devs.... Wink

ok here is were we stand.....

The front end "software" is mostly finished.

I put together a server yesterday, and brought it home.

The backend is somewhat finished, and the server is being configured now, and then the backend will be loaded on it.

The part that is unknown is what hurdles we may encounter when its finally all put together.

I will say this.. Nico who is lead dev has worked every single say coding this. Ive never seen such dedication to a project. He is on top of it, and has not stopped. We havent really run into any challenges yet.

My main concern is that people will think the first release is the final release. Its NOT, not even close!!!!

The first release will be the basic functions that have been promised as seen in the screenshots and videos.

But, I want to make this , the best it can be, and have sooooo many ideas I want to add.

The problem is, if I add them now, then the release will be months away. So my plan is to release what was promised, and THEN continue to add features through updates, which I want to get automated.

The additional features that will be in the second release will be:

Velocity column:

"Velocity" is this: Its the time between the buy orders.

So , for example if a coin is being bought on yobit at a VERY rapid rate, then this would be a strong indicator of a pump. The buys has to last a minimum of say 15-20 seconds (this is still being studied), and then it will get a rating from 0 to 10 in the velocity column. 0 being dead, 10 being a bot is buying like mad.

Also, in the second release will be a feature that when All of the columns (Volume, price, velocity) all are indicating a pump , all 3 of those colums will flash to really grab your attention that there is a strong possibility a pump is starting.

So there are more ideas I have, but I wont give away the spoilers, youll need to read the book Wink

With regard to payment. Here is how it will work, and its being coded as we speak.

It will all be integrated into the software.

So the software will be launched in windows. There will be a UUID check to make sure the software has not been copied to another computer. Its 1 license per computer.

After that it does a check to see if the software has been paid for and activated, and has not expired.

If the software has been paid for and not expired, it launches.

If it has not, inside the software , it will take you to a registration/login screen.

Once your logged in, you can buy the software, by sending fly using the site, or extend your subscription.

So "the site" inside the software will be in the first release.

Im considering 2 subscription options:

6 months $120 of fly
12 months $200 of fly. (Normally $240)

I think there is enough demand were I dont need an option for 1 month for $20. This will boost the demand for fly, as many people will each need to buy more. Thoughts?

Vegas

Excellent. No objection here. I would probably add some form of sample option, for example 1 week free usage, to people get a grip on what the software can do. Once they get hooked up, they ll much easier buy subscription.

So, if I understood you correctly, this will be published next week.
I like the idea of a trial period as well.  (1) week free - get to know the software - make a little money - then the subscription kicks in.  How does the software avoid being hacked or cracked like they do with MS Operating Systems or MS Office?  How does my subscription know it is time for me to re-up.  What system is in place?

Social media

We have a domain name and we've replicated that across social media.

If anyone is interested in looking after one or more of those channels, please let me know.

We're going to keep the number of communication channels down to a very small number for he immediate future.

But we do now have the ability to grow outwards to where the average person likes to hang out, when we need to do that.

GitHub access will be shared with a few people for project security.

@coins101 - will there be a slack to jump on?

Any news on nvidia miners? Still all pools dont show what the miner shows? and difference is huge. Where is the rest of the hash going??

There are Nvidia miners out. My 1080 gets about 1700kh

Getting 1900khs with a 1070

How do you get 1900 kh/s on a 1070?  Can you give some detail on your rig and which miner you are using please?
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: March 01, 2017, 12:02:04 PM
Spreadcoin is launching masternodes just like dash.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1045373.5480

You can buy a faster miner for only 0.05BTC (spreadminer sp-mod #10)

Support the coin, and the network, and earn a few bucks as well.. More profitable than most other coins if you have a few rigs.

@SP - the spreadminer 10 continually crashes.  I get to only mine about 2 hours before I come back to a crashed miner.  I tried lowering the default intensity.  I do not oc so just running stock clocks.  Any suggestions?

Would be nice if someone else could test this build.
Would be even nicer if some people could install some long term raspberry pi nodes to help Spreadcoin with full nodes.  Smiley

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

BTW, I'm struggling a little to release the next SpreadWallet-Update to my patrons, too many open threads I need to untangle but it won't take much longer.
Stay tuned.

@Georgem -  I don't have a Pi3 laying around but I can purchase one soon.  Do you know the general cost to run a Spreadcoin node?

prices @75MHASH:
 0,03047 * 0.075 = 0,00228525BTC per day ($2.4 per gtx 1070)

@SP - how do you get 75mh?  I can only get 20 mh per 1070 and that is on (2) threads or (1) thread?  Please advise.

Groestl and Diamond is around 40MHASH, myriad around 75 MHASH.

Ok - you are right - my mistake - sorry.

179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PIO]PIONEERSHARES | PROFITSHARE | FULL POS | VISION on: February 17, 2017, 01:35:43 PM
I have a such a gut feeling that I am gonna be so sorry for selling half of my small stash of pio"s a yobit. I sold half a month ago and that was a big mistake for me.

Well, at 80k sat the valuation is fairly low.
I took Liqui for for my own calculations, and it seems new exchange can get ca. 100 BTC volume daily in its early days.
It would give some 7.5 BTC comissions monthly, so at BTC=$1k, and current cap of $170k, it gives P/E=22.6.
If the volume will be increasing quickly, then market cap can easily end up at $1-2M.

if you take 100 BTC for volume i get only 0.0000005 Btc for each token per day if you go for 0.25% tradefees, i think its overpriced atm., ofc. if it brings volume like bittrex than it would bring roi under 1 year, but that would be what in 5 years.

Hrmmm - 100 BTC x .25% = .25 BTC / 207,000 PIO = .00000120 Satohis per share.  So if you have 20,000 pio shares you would get - .00000120 x 20,000 = .024 BTC per day?  Please check my math.  I am slow in that department!  Tongue
