161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Silence on: January 29, 2020, 08:54:29 AM
I am glad you stuck with it, when I nearly lost everything in 2018 that I had worked for in 2105-2018, I felt very sad and discouraged, but because I really believe in the decentralization movement and the power to create your destiny in a more creative economic setting, I stuck with it and am slowly crawling away from ground zero again. I also take my salary now in Bitcoin and when I get time, I trade as well. I think this year might be a better year from the last two I had. I nearly lost all my shirts as they say, but I won't give up either. Thank you for your encouraging post, good for others to see and take note.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Air, Water, Bitcoin on: January 27, 2020, 08:53:20 AM
Past human history is checkered with currency manipulation and conflict..

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has been filed with manipulation and conflict! We've seen fraud, theft, in-fighting, consolidation of mining operations, blockchain hijack attempts (in the form of forks), and more theft. There's nothing about cryptocurrency that is inherently peaceful or humane.

Cryptocurrency/blockchain offers more freedom to users. We are no longer controlled by an intermediary called a bank, we are the managers of our own financial system, if we want to be. It's in that freedom that come greater choice and control, but it also requires greater knowledge of how the system works and the risks involved.

I appreciate your positivity, but let's be honest here. Cryptocurrency is like the wild west!

I am also still very positive about Bitcoin but I would agree, I myself being a victim of hacking and theft, have lost a lot of my hard-earned money to cyber and Crypto criminals. I have lost more from criminals stealing my Bitcoin and other coins than I have ever had with real-life FIAT. Having said that, I am still a big advocate of decentralization and would not change being a part of this movement. I just wish there was less criminality in this space and ardent greed. There is just too much of it right now to attract the average Joe to come in and mass adoption to take place. We need more safeguards for that to happen.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the general issues/problems do traders or investors usually face during on: January 26, 2020, 07:32:55 AM
There are many problems that plague this industry, but one of the most common ones is our psychological makeup around Bitcoin and Crypto in general. The notion that we can come in this niche market and become millionaires overnight, is too prevalent and it is causing havoc in many different ways. Hackers, scammers, and noobs who are wannabe traders are wrecking this space and we need to change our mentality if we want to succeed. Also, FUD, FOMO, and people being lazy and not doing their own due diligence and research before buying into a coin or token, is also an ILLNESS that has blighted the Crypto Cause. We need to become savvier and sharper if we want to make it in trading any cryptocurrency pair. The bottom line is: PREPARE AND TWEAK YOUR MINDSET before you even attempt to trade cryptos.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Crypto on: January 26, 2020, 06:33:49 AM
It's very encouraging to see Users here using Bitcoin for all their daily needs. As my salary every month is also paid in Bitcoin, I technically too buy all my daily stuff with Crypto as well. The only thing is I don't want to be all over the internet saying what I a doing in order not to attract too much attention from hackers. Social media is a double-edged sword really and after having so much harassment and bullying on Youtube and telegram, I prefer to be a little more low key now. Anyway in my country, they are so behind, I have to mainly exchange to Fiat before I buy anything locally, which is a shame really.
165  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM (118 days left) on: January 25, 2020, 03:10:22 PM
I think with margin trading we won't have the pumps that we had before Bitcoin Futures and leverage trading appeared on the Scene for Bitcoin and Cryptos. Also, bear in mind most Bitcoin has been mined now and every time there is a halving, less and less Bitcoin is mined. The only thing that really can boost the price is more mass adoption and more people buying and holding to the point that it exceeds those trading on leverage. As soon as BTC pumps a little, you get the margin traders dumping and shorting the market. They don't have the patience to make the x 10 gains we used to see in the early days. When a trader is trading with 100:1 leverage, he only needs to see BTC move by a small percentage to make considerable gains, so if the shorters are making a ton of profit shorting with just a few percentages in gain, they will continue to do this. It's easy money for them. I still think Bitcoin is a great store of value compared to FIAT though.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO]The Nasty Secret of Bitcoin Exposed on: January 25, 2020, 08:55:12 AM
The video explains how Bitcoin turns your ownership into membership, which is exactly how classical fraudulent schemes operate.

https://youtu.be/C5RplXYwCyY
Seriously! Other day I saw the same with just a different title.

In the below 6-minute video, it is explained why Bitcoin is a fraud where a gift record is falsely presented to the public as a market item.

https://youtu.be/LlPwmW4XphE

What is your problem? Same video in another post:

... fake market instrument

Video version of the argument: https://youtu.be/aZzH1Js2l4k
WTF!

If you think your fiat is better than bitcoin then go and give your ass to the FED so that they can put a green dildo in your ass. Or you are getting paid by Ver, Craig and co to spread nonsense about Bitcoin. Get the fuck out of the forum you moron.

Yeah, I know where you are coming from and I agree. So FIAT, with its debt-ridden inflation and is only an I.O .U note is not a scam? Our Fiat money is only worth anything because we are forced to trust it. DIAMONDS, WHICH ARE JUST A PIECE OF ROCK, are only worth tons because it is marketed that way. So why is Bitcoin more of a fraud than these items I just mentioned? Whoever made this stupid video has an agenda or was paid by some whale to bring down the price of Bitcoin so noobs can sell it lol.  Grin Grin At least Bitcoin has a limited supply unlike the federal reserve pumping out dollars every time the banks want a bailout which the Taxpayers pay for and everyone else pays for because every time money is printed, we lose purchasing power. The biggest scam of all and Ponzi is FIAT. I'd rather park my money in Bitcoin than Fiat any day.
167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My personal challenge: $1,000 to $1 Million on: January 25, 2020, 06:46:37 AM
I believe if you are really disciplined with your goal setting you can reach and even exceed your goals. I also would like to have some leeway and take into account some setbacks that can occur as well on your journey. Days you are ill, or when the market is flat, or some unexpected event or expense takes place. I would pencil all these kinds of unforeseen events in as well in order to not be discouraged if and when they come along. I have a goal, albeit a little bit more modest than yours. I want to get to reach earning a passive or semi-passive income of three thousand dollars a month so I can have some aside for my old age and also have enough to live decently and maybe travel a bit. I even looked properties one could buy with Bitcoin. That would be really awesome if I could get an investment property with Bitcoin one day, but that's a long way off. Good luck on your journey and do come back and give us the results so far.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven for Your Money? on: January 24, 2020, 05:39:12 PM
It all depends on how much of your money is in Bitcoin. I like Bitcoin but would not bank all of my investment portfolios in it, although I earn my salary in Bitcoin. I prefer that we keep a basket of diversified assets, as this would limit risk and is the most sensible thing to do, as the price of Bitcoin is pretty volatile. We need to exercise wisdom and caution when thinking about parking our hard-earned money in any asset class, and Bitcoin is no exception. Everything we do in this life is not risk-free, so we just have to weigh the pros and cons and act accordingly.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me. on: January 24, 2020, 04:01:20 PM
I am kind of believing the same thing right now. The first time ever my bank said they don't even accept bank SEPA form LocalBitcoins bitcoin traders. Now they sent my money back to the sender. So living in Europe for people being paid by Bitcoin is getting harder and harder. Now I have to take out my salary through MoneyGram or western union to be able to pay my bills here, which means more inconvenience for me and more payment in fees. I am really upset by this because it's not as if I earn a fortune and they are chasing me from money laundering. I don't bring more than 12-13k euros a year into my bank lol, it's a joke.  Instead of chasing the Mafias that launder millions each month, they chase the little people who earn 1-2k euros a month.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 24, 2020, 03:06:15 PM
The problem in online earning, in general, is that most people want fast money and are just too lazy to do their research. This problem has also plagued the Crypto Industry as well, so now all the scammers are targetting us to get their hands on our hard-earned crypto. I no longer promote or join any passive type programs except for MPT, and that I not been promoting my link, I just have it as a side gig to make some extra readies. Otherwise, I am not joining any so-called coin MLMS or revshares or cyclers or HYIPs. HYIPS are the worse right now, as they try to show they are professional traders who are trading to give you two and three percent daily. This is all baloney in my books, steer well clear.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Eureka Coin on: January 24, 2020, 09:38:45 AM
This is the latest update from one of the FOUNDER/CEOS of EUREKA NETWORK BLOCKCHAIN: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1010439042491558/permalink/1385313018337490/ and it was also posted in the Telegram room as well. It mainly talks about the server optimization of MYPASSIVETRADES, which is one of the businesses owned by POLARIS UNIVERSAL LTD, which is the parent company that also owns EUREKA NETWORK. This mainly shows us that this company has an ever-growing business model that helps EUREKA because the more profits that come into the POLARIS UNIVERSAL as a whole, the more coins will be bought back and burned by the Company, making ERK COIN RARER, thus in the long term dearer. Also, more use cases will open up for ERK as also Coinpaymnets now have added it to their payment gateway as well. Every month it also gets added to more exchanges and more partnerships are evolving as well.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: January 24, 2020, 07:19:50 AM
After being alive probably for longer than most of you here, I have seen a lot of things take place that is making the everyday Average Joe, more and more powerless. I have seen every bust and boom there is to see in more than 50 years of my life cycle. I was around in 2008 when they had the NO TO WALLSTREET demonstrations, but no one at that time had the solution (although Satoshi was working on it and we didn't know it), and I have seen automation in the job market and inflation devour our spending power, jobs and see our life savings go to pot. When I was young our parents wanted us all to become Doctors and Lawyers, get a good job, get married, have kids, work till we are 65 and get our pensions. Well it didn't work that way for a lot of us and the majority of us that got swept out of the system became the infamously known GENERATION X. I am one of them, with nowhere to belong or call my home in any economic model of our times. Being a rebel, Crypto made me fit right in and I felt not so powerless anymore and useless. I felt that I could contribute to my family and to society to make it better, even in a very small way, not just financially, but by helping my family ope their minds to beyond what there is and what we have been 'fed' with by the Elites. Apart from that, the technological aspect is pretty exciting too and now with IOT, I believe a brighter and more inclusive future awaits us. Maybe I am just a born optimist. Now I have a full-time job with my salary paid in Bitcoin, I part-time day trade and I love to collect bags again, am very grateful I can feed my family and live 100% on the Blockchain..
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fraud victim,75, loses £11k in life savings! Secure your BTC just now! on: January 23, 2020, 05:59:50 PM
I feel sad that so many people are getting scammed where Bitcoin is concerned. It is not the fault though of Bitcoin. These online scams existed well before Bitcoin came out but the only thing that has changed now is the scammers using Bitcoin instead of Fiat, to generate scams and create fake sites. Also, people want to make fast money without working, which is a passive income source, and too many scammers get into this niche to steal from unsuspecting people.  I think many of us here have been victims of either phishing sites, passive income scams or hackers. If not all three of these, at least from one of these nasty elements that plague this niche, or the earn money online niche at large. The scammers prey on all of us, all the time, we need to be more vigilant. Just don't invest in HYIP scams period.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 04:51:07 PM
It's a great way to get the word out and maybe you can talk to the local Press and get some sort of interview done, saying that you accept Bitcoin as payment for your great milk tea. I think this will also boost your business as more and more people travel around now and if I were in your city, I would certainly want to sample your milk tea as I am a great milk tea enthusiast. I drink mine with carnation milk, stevia, and vanilla essence. I also like the Indian spicy Chai as well. Give gettign some free press a try and that might do good for your business and for Bitcoiners traveling to your area.  Smiley Every step to mass adoption is good, and this looks like a way from the ground up to get there. I wish you luck on your venture and never give up.
175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Full time trading is boring on: January 23, 2020, 03:47:46 PM
If you find that it is too boring, then yes, I agree with you that you need to find something else that you like doing. If though it is very lucrative and you are earning a lot of money, then you should think about outsourcing some of the more tedious part of the job to someone else or get a robot and trade, get signals, so you are not sitting in front of charts for your eyeballs to get all mushy on. Maybe trade part-time and do something else with the rest of your time to make money. If you feel that the time you are spending is not profitable and you don't feel motivate,d then you really need to ask yourself, is this for you and do you have the patience to stick it out, learn to be a successful trader, or not? Only you can really answer those deep and profound questions.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin provides more long-term profits on: January 23, 2020, 01:01:42 PM
You need to make sure you study well any altcoin project before you even touch them. Also, you need to be actively engaged in the market and trade those altcoins frequently. Don't make the mistake I made in 2017/2018 where I was holding a ton of coins that tanked, some of them even 99% and I was left with a very small value bag. I could have been full time retired by now. Now I started again, got bags of this and that but now I trade those bags with long term appreciation potential for Bitcoin and some stablecoins and to grow a varied risk portfolio. I like to see my net worth in BTC and Dollars rise every month, even in a bear market. I check my bottom line now, not FOMO and FUD in telegram rooms.  Wink
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As expected THE LIAR, CLOWN 'John McAfee' backs down from $1M claim on: January 23, 2020, 10:13:01 AM
I doubted it would ever be a million dollars per Bitcoin in 2020. Either the dollar value would have to crash to say a penny on the dollar for that to happen or Aliens from Outer Space would have to invade and say they are using Bitcoin for interstellar payments across the Galaxy lol. I would take everything and anything said via the Media by any so-called Prediction Gurus with a pinch of salt. As long as you got whales shorting it on Bitmex and Co, I don't expect the price of Bitcoin to go past 10-15k USD for a very long time. I prefer to be realistic and cautious and then win small as opposed to hoping BIG.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Institutional Investors Bring in the Next Wave of Hype to the Crypto-Sphere? on: January 22, 2020, 03:14:59 PM
Institutional investment coming comes in for one reason only - PROFIT. most institutions want to make sure that their portfolios are profitable for their rich clients and customers and making bank is what they are all about. Now is this a good or a bad thing you may ask? It depends on who they have trading for them in the markets. If they ar emaking a ton of profit shorting the markets through margin trading, then it's not that much beneficial for all the little retail investors and hodlers, but if they are building diverse portfolios and growing them for generational wealth and long term appreciation value for their clients, then it's a boon in disguise as it will be marketed to future generations that it will be normal and good to hold a percentage of their savings in a basket of cryptocurrencies.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin value starts with people's attention? or with its technology? on: January 22, 2020, 12:19:02 PM
Bitcoin is actually far more complex than other stores of value, or technology because it is both. You may argue that Gold also has that feature, of being both useful and also used as a currency. Bitcoin has something more than any technology I have seen so far. It is going to be used in all our future infrastructure layers, seen and unseen, noticed by the public at large, and also will go unnoticed, but will be used in the background. The Blockchain technology itself to be utilized is so diverse in nature, that for me that is where the real intrinsic value lies. On the other hand, the more people have access to Bitcoin as a currency, the more attractive it will become as a store of value also. As more and more people like the decentralized aspect behind it and have the feeling of being more in control of their money (especially when it has a limited supply tag on it)  they will be ultimately attracted to Bitcoin for holding purposes and for using it in their daily transactions.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of a bounty manager. on: January 22, 2020, 08:18:38 AM
I think personally from now on unless the coins are already on exchanges, bounty managers and also bounty hunters should be paid part in Eth or BTC and part in the token at the end of the ICO/IEO as a bonus. This would be far less risky for bounty hunters and managers alike because then even if the projects turn to scam, we have already had a part payment in a real digital currency that we can exchange or hodl with less risk. I also managed a bounty once and the most annoying part was sifting through all those fake accounts and even worse still, we had members pretending to be real legitimate BTCTALK members. I have had my profile faked many times and my content was stolen even as a bounty hunter. I am thinking even in bounty hunting there are scammers and thieves? There was a whole Vietnamese ring of scammers faking accounts for the video campaigns, they tried to steal every single video of my Husband's lol from his channel to get stakes in video bounties. It's a huge task to be bounty manager and one cannot run a bounty by oneself, you need at least one assistant minimum to help check and double-check spreadsheets, as well sift through tons of PMS coming in daily from bounty hunters. Don't think it's an easy job, because it isn't.
