161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 29, 2023, 02:54:19 AM
Thanks for the information. At firstbit was really weird because they were just asking you about betting and giving you commissions so we should be cautious on this. You should always be thinking on the negative side in this kind of situation, like why they are doing this and why they just can't do it on their own.

For sure, there are tons of accounts that got banned on this because of commission is really appealing. I do hope that they won't victimize others too.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Youth Gambling on: September 29, 2023, 01:25:57 AM
There is difficulty for the youth to gamble because they don't have an ID unless they might use the ID of their parents just to gamble if needing a KYC. Also if the youth still has parents he should be guided by them because it can really ruin his education and life. That is why parents should always check on their children and guide them whenever they are kind of lost in their path.

There are still hard-headed children for sure but still it is the parents duty to guide and help them mostly if they are doing gambling and make him understand the risk of it.
163  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 28, 2023, 04:07:50 PM
A global crisis began after Covid 19 and this crisis still continues its effects. After something ends, a new crisis occurs, such as a war or a refugee crisis, while some balances are disrupted and inflation is fueled in the world. Housing and food prices are currently on the rise all over the world, there is too much demand and the supply does not meet the demand. You need to stay away from stress. First of all, it will be healthy for you to stay calm, make a plan for yourself and continue believing in that plan. Everyone is experiencing these financial problems right now, and they are very serious. If you can meet your shelter and food needs, of course you will need time to find a clean method. Just use your time wisely.

Having a thankful mindset in which you will be thankful for what you have right now can really ease your mind as we know that the time right now is very difficult and everything is stressful which is why having to be calm always is really good because being stressed won't help and you can't think well about how to solve your problem.

All of us have been through financial stress but not all of us tackle it with different methods. While others got stressed but others didn't as they focused on finding a solution which we should also do.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges have to learn and improve on their security on: September 28, 2023, 02:03:36 PM
Investing in security is really the number one priority of those exchanges because that is the money we are talking about, and most of the blackhat hackers want it so having good security and no exploit is best. However the truth is that we can't predict it and most of those hackers and those maintaining the security are in race mode to find an exploit that can either be fixed as they found it or exploited. That is why investing in security infrastructure and a good team of cyber security professionals is required.

165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you on guard for any unexpected? on: September 28, 2023, 12:19:28 PM
For futures trading this is a really huge problem but for holders like us we really don't notice this because we tend to always go long-term meaning that is just a small pump or dump and our goal is about those ATH which means a huge uptrend cycle not only based on one candlestick on a daily timeframe. Though being prepared is the best in this kind of investment you should always be ready and cautious as anytime the market will get your money and you can't stop it.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 28, 2023, 09:32:43 AM
Flipping a coin is based on luck 50% for heads and 50% for tails and you can't increase the chance of getting heads no matter what unless you cheat. Trading is the opposite you can increase your chance of winning when you learn and backtest your strategy.

Day trading has been widely used by traders mostly those who don't have time for scalping and I don't compare it to gambling because it is about skills. Unless you just trade by chance like flipping a coin and deciding to buy or sell, that would be gambling.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: September 28, 2023, 06:38:19 AM
Most of the reason others are investing in Bitcoin is to make a profit. That is why they are investing in it and you are right that Bitcoin has already proven track record in history for making ATH. Comparing the price when it was lunch it is really far and right now halving is fast approaching and people are now accumulating some Bitcoins because after halving the price is making ATH which happened in the previous halving also.

There are still people who use it for transactions like sending and receiving payments because they know that they have full control over their money and no matter how big your transaction is the bank won't freeze it.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 28, 2023, 05:02:51 AM
In Russia, many people struggle with financial stress. I think that a young man should have fewer problems in this regard, because he can move to a larger city where there is more work. As an engineer, I was engaged in private repair of computers, laptops and components, and this helped me not to be in poverty. You need to learn useful skills that will help you even in the worst situation.
From smaller problems we get the bigger ones that is why we should be ready to be able to deal with financial stress at all time. Problem will keep coming but it depends on how prepared we are to take and face any problem. If we are always ready to solve problems then we will never be scared to face life challenges. We should always learn to be eagered to face our fears because from that we do get it wrong most time. When we have good job that is giving us consistent funds, it is always easy for us than people that don't have any means of money or have a job they can call there own.

I don't know though, when I was growing up, our families didn't talk about our financials although I know that we are struggling. But my parents were able to make us all graduate from high school to college and we all have our careers now.

Sure there are a lot of problems and hardships that we face when we have our career and families and thinking of our future. However, do we really need to stress out? Or just see what life brings and then adjust our prioritizes and learn how to improved as we mature in life. There are jobs] and then there investment that we can put our money and save so that we will be ready in the future.

Maybe you just did not notice it because a simple saying to you that they won't buy that stuff or toys you want is a sign of financial struggle. Parents don't want their children to know that they are struggling because for sure you'll be thinking about helping them and you might not be able to go to school which your parents didn't want to so they work hard and for sure you understand it deep inside as you pursue to finish your school unlike others who are just wasting  the money of their parents.

That is really a good perspective not stressing ourselves as it doesn't help us just overthinking your problem won't solve it so it is better to work hard to solve it and not overthink ourselves.
169  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 28, 2023, 04:10:11 AM
Depends on how well you've done in your degree program, if you're like me who just happen to have it for the sake of having a degree then it wouldn't be enough if you want a large steady income but if you did well in your degree and you passed it with flying colors then expect that you should be able to demand a bit higher in your wages although that depends on the company because there are some that didn't do well with their degree program but their work ethic and hardwork made them an asset to their organization so in the end what matters would be your attitude in your job and how you do your work.

I just remember my classmates before that they graduated and had a degree but they didn't know how to code so their path as a programmer is not bright but right now because of their hard work they land a job that is not programming but about what they love and enjoy most. The lesson is that it doesn't mean that if you have a degree then your job will be related to it  as that is not how the world works.

The reason for getting high-paying jobs is the work quality that you are giving, not the certificates that you have in your degree.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 28, 2023, 03:10:12 AM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?
It is completely natural that casinos advertise themselves when it comes to sport events, as not only sport events are very popular and the more people watch their ads the better, but we also know sport bets are incredibly popular as well and casinos are not going to let such an opportunity to go past them.

Now if one of your kid ask you about it you do not really need to go into detail about it, just explain to them this is something adults like to do and leave it at that.

Simple explanation to kids they will understand it rather than explaining it thorougly only a few bits of it so that they will not have questions about it.

Kids won't be curious about those advertisements which is mostly what I noticed. They are more curious when their parents start doing it and they have tons of questions about it. For example one of the scenarios that I noticed in my neighbor's kid is that he will tell the other kids that his father won some money because of gambling then he will add let's play something and our bets are stones  meaning they already practice it and probably his parents haven't guided that kid.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: September 28, 2023, 02:01:48 AM
I literally don't think government can end poverty alone, we need to be their helping hands too. But, it completely depends upon the intentions of the government whether it is interested in doing good work for the society or are there just to fill their own pockets. They can't create jobs out of thin air, we must also do something so that we can also create opportunities for others and not just make money alone, because that's how a country will prosper and grow. A government can rule the country, but a citizen can make/break a country.

The government is really doing their best to create those jobs and also provide them to  end their struggle but right now the issue of poverty is a combination of both because we also need to do it on our own. Let's say the government is encouraging us not to have a lot of children if we struggle financially so we need to use some contraceptives. The government is announcing it everywhere and also giving free contraceptives but still people are not doing their way which is why the population continues to rise as well as poverty.

It is best to not rely on the government now because you will starve if you will. Create your own opportunities because no one can help you but yourself.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cashing Out Thousands of Bitcoin on: September 28, 2023, 01:05:20 AM
That huge amount of money at the time you put it in a bank account will be frozen by the bank immediately subject to knowing why you have that money and also the tax on it. It is better to not cash it out one time but just cash it out gradually and into different accounts because it will not be easily identified by the banks. Another way is P2P but still not that much bitcoin as it is very huge.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Small Scale Business Ideas on: September 27, 2023, 04:25:45 PM
On this board I often see a lot of discussions related to investment and finance which tend to be large scale. However, to start investing we need capital. How do you find capital for investment?

Let's talk about small scale businesses that have low risks and promising profits so that we can have capital to invest and become passive income in the future.

Do you have a small business idea? or business experience? I want to hear it
The most effective way to run a small business is meeting an important need around you. Possibly run a survey around your area, find out what's needed and essential that's isn't available and try to start it no matter how small. Raising capital for your business can be difficult especially when you're not financially bouyant, but you can start small with whatever amount you have and grow it from there. Remember  that growth takes time and needs your full focus and determination. No matter how small a business it, it can't grow without your presence and effort.

A feasibility study is part of business planning because it is difficult if you start a business in an area where only a few customers will avail of your product or business so it would lead to failure. Also  with capital as long as your business is small capital is small and I do agree that we should start small first before venturing to other big businesses as this also needs huge capital. Small businesses can earn you some experience on how to run a business which is also key if you plan to expand. Most businesses start small so take your time and learn from it.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 27, 2023, 12:17:04 PM
I don't know where you came from but mostly those rich countries will be focusing more on skills now. It is very different before and now because before if you graduated with a degree and even had rewards after you graduated you had a high chance that you would land a job and even companies were after you but right now I have noticed they are more into skills. Interviews right now the first step is to pass the test or exam before you can go to the second stage meaning even if you have a degree and do not have those skills you are useless.

If you have a chance to have a degree go for it but also build your skills along the way because that is your weapon in finding a job and competition right now in the job market is very huge.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 27, 2023, 10:32:21 AM
I've been neutral about Elons plans to charge users for using Twitter, but lately think more and more about him giving examples to others. Lets suppose he starts charging (or not) fees for Twitter (so far this is just an idea as far as I know). But what if Facebook, Instagram and Gmail will start to charge for service? What will you do and think then? Also claim that "they tell people to leave" ? Or live with idea that one day we will have to pay for what we get for free in past, and pay for it?

We will end up paying it or else there will be another social media giant that is free and dominating it all but the problem right now is that people are into it meaning their photos and important contacts are saved into it so if they ask you to pay probably there are plenty of people paying it because of their photos videos and their data.

I do hope that if ever X charges its users, Facebook and other platforms won't because if this happens for sure another social media platform will rise and be used by us as not all of us are willing to pay.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 27, 2023, 09:01:20 AM
It is a good idea but like with sex education it took time before it was implemented in schools and it would also be the duty of the parents to teach their children about it. Though we know others will still not listen to their parents but guidance is really the key to not getting addicted to gambling.

The government is doing its part so it would be ourselves to blame for this as we cannot control it and also having guidance from parents is really needed to prevent this kind of addiction.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 27, 2023, 07:14:26 AM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
I wouldn't advise anyone to see gambling as a source of income but rather as a fun or a sort of entertainment. However there are good gamblers who are knowledgeable and uses good techniques to maximize their winnings. Aside being skilled, there's also the luck factor but this seldomly happens. I've heard of a story of some persons who didn't know anything about sport betting but just picked some matches with big odds from different leagues, made a wager and won a very huge amount of money that turned his lives around. So there's no better explanation to this than basing it on luck.

There are skill-based games like cards and luck-based games like slots but mostly in sports bettin it is a combination of both because there are times that even a stronger team loses and if you are betting on that stronger team but it turns out to be a loss then that is still out of luck. No matter how you predict it if it doesn't go your way you will lose.

Ive also seen a couple of documentaries about those gamblers making a living on it and they are betting huge and mostly it is sports betting. That is why it changed their lives but they don't settle on the gambling; they still find another stable source of income.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 27, 2023, 04:20:01 AM

Well you're doing pretty good. Because we should continue to move forward and continue to look for opportunities. And once an opportunity comes, we have to make the most of it and never waste it. Work harder and when we get good results. So the next step must be to make good financial arrangements. Because it is true that without good financial management, any amount of money will run out quickly and may not help our finances in the future.
Yes, you are right that the opportunities in people's life do not come again and again. So we have to take advantage of the opportunity and organize our lives beautifully. But what I know is that if we work honestly, that hard work will never fail. At some point, success will be seen, so we must be honest. To work hard. To move towards the goal of life. All people have a good financial system in their life, their life is very happy and peaceful so we should achieve something good.
The financial system is usually closely related to our lifestyle and priority life goals. like me, who tries to live a simple lifestyle, even when income increases, so that the remaining income can be allocated to activities that develop financial support in the future. Of course, as we get older we have to have a place to live, and after that we have to provide the best education for our children. Therefore, life priorities must be able to run so that you can spend money appropriately

Lucky on you that you have that kind of discipline even when your income increases because others tend to spend more and want more stuff, but there will be a time when we are already mature enough you'll know that you don't have savings and you are already old so before that regret comes you should save now for the future but after our priorities like needs so that we won't be starving and after that invest for the future.
There will be time that we are in financial stress but it wont be that situation forever as there will be time that you are free
179  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 27, 2023, 03:11:02 AM
Humans generally have endless needs and feel the urge to get one more so even if you spend all your salary, you cannot fulfill all your needs and desires at once. Life is a struggle to survive people's lives are spent thinking about this and that people have to go to the with some lack or dissatisfaction. Although human needs are infinite not all needs or lacks are the same as people in our society are different people have different needs or needs so it is better to make savings or investment funds to meet the needs of different people. There will be demand but in the meantime building wealth through a savings plan is much less risky and will secure your future and help you build wealth basically, the more money you have the more ways you can use it.
Our wants never end and if we all always key into these needs then it now becomes a problem because for you to save and build something for the future of yourself will be a problem. More money comes with more problem and that's just tge essence of life and if we continue to try and cancel all we will find out that actually saving money will be a problem.
Every year there are new phones and if we fuel our wants always then we have tons of phones and it would be useless as we ain't using them or worse you wouldn't have any savings at all.
The more money you have, the more you spend. That is why having the mindset of saving first before spending is best mostly if your income is big so that it is sure that youll be saving some money and not only in wants.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 27, 2023, 02:11:07 AM
The term legalize is different from banned and prohibited so you can still use it even if it is not legalized. There are tons of countries that are in this situation that are not legalized and also not banned, so you can continue to use it.

In a country that is banned people secretly own Bitcoin but they aren't telling anyone just to be safe and no one can track you if you are just staying quiet. Even if this happens to me I will continue using it and just be cautious to let anyone know about it.
