161  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ANX: Your Ultimate Crypto Trading Platform on: April 10, 2015, 06:41:00 PM
Hi,

can you shed any light on the Amendment of Payment Methods email which states -

Please note that owing to the increasing costs of providing local payment facilities in Hong Kong, ANX currently no longer offers such services.

So I can not withdraw to my hongkong bank account after April 24th ?

thanks...

Hi,

I'm not sure about that. Can you please forward the email to byt411@hotmail.com?

Thanks,
byt411
162  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ANX New Debit Card Offerings, Updated Mobile App and STR Relaunch on: April 10, 2015, 11:59:23 AM
can i use this card to withdraw non US currency in local ATMs and how much is the fee for using this? bank fee i guess?

If you use the ANX Premium Card, the ATM withdrawal fee would be 1%, + a 2.5% currency conversion fee. The ATM operator may also charge you additional fees, but that is out of our control.

Which Countries are available Where you send the Card. Can you Provide me the list of Eligible countries? I searched it on the site but couldnt found it.

We mail to all countries, as long as you are approved through our verification process.

I'm interested on your usd debit card.
I'll use it mostly on european countries, so which is the exchange rate from USD to EUR?

Are you thinking about releasing an eur debit card in the near future?

Hi HostFat!

The exchange fee for USD to EUR is, I believe,  2.5%, or something like that. I'm not sure, and i have no idea why it's not listed, but I'll check and I'll get back to you.

About new debit cards, we are currently exploring to see what new options we can offer and bring to you guys. In the meantime, we appreciate your feedback, thanks!
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you mine it or buy it? on: April 10, 2015, 02:17:20 AM
I'd like to ask the users here about how you got started in bitcoins and how you acquire bitcoins.

So the two questions are:

1. When you started, did you MINE or did you BUY bitcons?

2. If you are a regular user of bitcoins currently, do you MINE or do you BUY bitcoins?

To start off the discussion, I can only answer question 1. I mined bitcoins when I started. Then I bought and sold bitcoins through an exchange.
I cannot answer question 2 because I'm no longer a regular user of bitcions.

I started by Mining with my CPU, earning like 0.01 in a week, so I gave up. Came back later to 0.01 per month.
Now I own a large amount of Bitcoins, and I really regret not getting into it back then in the day. I tried to set up a mining rig, but I was too late. I tried to catch up on the arms race, and I failed again. GAWMiners delivered late, and I was away from home, on a vacation for 2 months.

Hi:

I would like to know which bitcoin debit card is the best.

I try xapo but they put restriction on members from certain countries (Sudan in my cause) and i am not allowed to use their system.

I hope some on can list me some legit provider with advantages and disadvantages of each on.

Thank you.

Have you tried ANX ? - https://anxbtc.com

Is ANX legit? I would like to have a debit card, but so far they have all sounded rather scammy..

Hey Blazedout,
How is our site scammy? We are a very reputable Bitcoin Exchange, that has never been hacked, we have been praised by Max Keiser and Roger Ver, and we are one of the first to introduce a Bitcoin ATM and the first to distribute a Bitcoin Debit Card for the masses.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me! We have had deals in the past, I'm sure you can trust me Wink

ANX is very legit I heard, otherways visit their site by yourself and decide are they legit or not...,:)

No one talks about BIT-X debit card? It's legal too and can be used as a MasterCard that's ANX one can't be. But the services fees seems to be a little bit high.

The ANX Premium card is a Mastercard. Our fees are lower than the Bit-X's ones!
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory Bitcoin purchasing, to be performed by each state on: April 10, 2015, 01:11:43 AM
I propose a purchasing agreement, which mandates every state in the World to buy a certain amount of Bitcoin every year. The amount will be coupled to the country's respective GDP and could be something along the lines of 0.001%-0.01% of it. The states have to hold on to their purchased coins for a given amount of time until they can invest them again.

Which other rules and what conditions and timeframes for selling off the coins do you suggest should be implemented?

And what's in it for the state?  What if their counter proposal is to outlaw mining, making it only them are allowed to mine and support the network.

Well, people would then disregard the blocks mined by the states and treat them as a fork. People would go back to mining with their CPUs, and all the blocks mined by the state wouldn't be considered as the main branch.

What kind of benefit are you expecting from this?

Isn't it obvious? Bitcoin would profit greatly from this. The adoption and value would skyrocket. It would immediately gain legitimacy around the world. Also, the smaller countries could benefit from the Bitcoin price skyrocketing.

Why would adoption skyrocket? Why would it gain legitimacy around the world? It would only be viewed as an investment product, not a currency.
Seriously, have you even thought about it at all?
168  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] dropbox referrals on: April 09, 2015, 05:43:11 PM
Hi

Thanks for reply

I did some research before posting and all the links i found were pre-2015, i couldn't sort the results by date Smiley

Ok no need for escrow with high reputation

only problem is I want to pay in BTC not in $

I need the referrals because I invited all my friends and can't really invite more "people" i know so I need to complement 2 accounts to limit 16 GB

At the moment I need 18 referrals to one account, at the rate of $0.5 / referral that would be $9 at the rate $243/BTC that would be 37mBTC but i only have 24mBTC so that should get me 11 referrals

If you accept please PM me your wallet address and I will send you my 24 mBTC and once you say you have received them i give you my drop box link

I will post in main thread "sold to" +your name for transparency

Doesn't matter, I'll give you the full referrals so that you reach 16GB.
My address is 1Cb2JZxh2R8UxLCuQofdNFm4qnSkga2YyU. Send me that and I'll get them done for you.
169  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] dropbox referrals on: April 09, 2015, 05:13:02 PM
I can do this for $0.5 per referral. I don't really think escrow is needed, I'm very trusted around here.
But if you do, then find one.

At war? How? The Bitcoin community of a couple thousand people, at war with all the states of the world?
Suggest to politicians? Why would they add part of the state's budget to a volatile, unstable currency that does not offer any investment incentive to the state?

What kind of results or consequences would come from politicians proposing this? Well, no one will be exactly sure, but you can be certain that they won't be voted for again.
I'm not saying that we're going to start a war. What's up with you?
I'm saying that the only way to make something like this mandatory is to force it upon a state. You have to conquer it to force it. You can't just bully them into buying Bitcoin.

That doesn't even make sense. Why are you adding part of your budget to a volatile, unstable currency? You have your answer.

Maybe you got me mixed up with OP? I just improvised your idea of war so that OP would stop fantasizing about things that don't make sense.
171  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: April 09, 2015, 04:56:58 PM
So anybody got their balance back from amhash.com? If so - please share your experience. I contacted that alex@amhash.com and he told me to write to Asicminer support support@bitquan.com for that. I wrote them but no response and days are passing. It seems that they decided to steal our past dividends (balance) also.

So that means for people who haven't cashed out their prior gains at all, they effectively lost all their investment? Jeez... this is getting better by the minute...

No. Those that did not convert their shares still have the right to pursue legal action for all the funds owed + late interest + lost revenue.
Those that converted will only get the 0.00033BTC/share or whatever it was. Even if friedcat comes back and everything is reinstated, those that converted have no right to anything except the compensation.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory Bitcoin purchasing, to be performed by each state on: April 09, 2015, 04:54:14 PM
How the heck can you "mandate" states to purchase Bitcoin?
This idea seems completely unrealistic. Who would enforce such an agreement? The people?
If it's to promote Bitcoin and make its price rise or something, there are other ideas that are a lot better than this.

Well, it's just a suggestion - a rather wild and crazy one, that's a given. But I'm merely speculating here what could be done concerning the global economy and what kind of results or consequences could come from those ideas Smiley
Wrong. You can't mandate anything. Unless you're forcing them, but then we'd probably be at war.
Even though it would be nice to see countries buying some, once can't mandate them. You could suggest it to your politicians (if you have contact with any).

Well, of course this would have to be done by the UN assembly or something. And of course this is unrealistic as of now, but hey... isn't it interesting to speculate about those things?

Done by the UN assembly? Are you seriously telling me that some idiot would propose that to the UN, somehow get accepted and approved, and that it would be enforced and that the countries will follow it?
Wow, it's not unrealistic, it's utterly impossible. It's as if I were speculating about unicorns farting rainbows and causing everyone to become homosexual.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will increase contribute ? on: April 09, 2015, 04:42:43 PM
this on block 50BTC good is ?
it 210000 on block bitcoin halved after what happens ? where go it halved ?

What country are you from? It is quite hard to comprehend your English. You'd be better off asking in the board corresponding to your country.

Get the ANXBTC debit card today - its like a typical debit card... But its loaded with bitcoin!

Hmm...It's not a MasterCard like Bit-X one and if I'm right the card could only be used among the service that ANX provides(ATM, ANX supported Business, etc).

Hi umairsaleem!

ANX Support here. The ANX Premium Bitcoin Debit Card is indeed a Mastercard, and I'm glad to say that you are wrong. It works for all POS that accept Mastercard, alongside with online purchases too!
However, the card does not have an EMV chip; it only has a magnetic stripe.

Do you guys also ship this to India???
Are they useful at my place???
Fees are pretty much low and all in all a good deal to be grabbed... Looking to order one, but please let me know whether it's allowed for India or not... Smiley

Hi gkv9!

It might be useful, it might be not. It depends. For example, if you have a lot of Bitcoin and you want to spend it but you can't, then our card is perfect for you! It allows you to spend your bitcoin basically everywhere.
As far as I know, we do ship to India, so there shouldn't be any problems.

Having problem with my page not showing any BTC address to deposit to.

Hi SamedamnBTC, can you please PM me your ANX email and a screenshot? Thanks!

Thanks,

I don't have those, sorry.
A very large batch of Spotify and Netflix accounts are now in stock!
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really coming to Bitcoin ? on: April 08, 2015, 11:54:05 PM
Bitcoin is already regulated. There is no other form of money that follows such strict rules as Bitcoin.

Except other than fiat, Bitcoin is regulated transparently, for and by everyone, through cryptography. The elite authorities that currently regulate old fashioned money will need a while to grasp this new paradigm.

Through cryptography and democracy. If the devs push out unreasonable updates, we, as the community and as the users, can decide what features we want and what we don't want.

However, the point that you made is very true; Bitcoin is regulated by its users. Despite that, a government would still attempt to regulate it, such as by banning it, or making all users report their bitcoin transactions, etc.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone successfully evaded collections agencies by exchanging fiat into BTC? on: April 08, 2015, 10:24:56 PM
If you really want to hide your money with Bitcoin, your best bet would be to find a Bitcoin ATM without KYC/AML compliance (not sure if that even exists in your country) and transfer the money into Bitcoin. That way, they can't get your money. However, I'm not sure if this is even legal or not, so it's up to your own jurisdiction.
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really coming to Bitcoin ? on: April 08, 2015, 10:18:34 PM
The Reserve Bank of Australia does not believe that bitcoin regulation is worth the cost as it may require international cooperation.  Regulation cost money that's the bottom line.

Regulation costs money, but it could also potentially bring in money for the government. from taxes and other things.
They would also want to regulate it to try and prevent money laundering, but obviously, they would fail. If banning cryptocurrencies also counts as "regulation", then it could also occur.
