161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting for reality not club affection on: May 01, 2024, 10:58:50 AM
Most times we are caught in between placing our bets on our favourite teams to win and not there present form, this action according to analysis shows that it's one of the reasons some persons don't win a sport bet, no matter how hard they try, a team that's not in form or getting the results shouldn't be on your sports betting slip, because they might continue the poor run of form and hurt your ticket, a friend once adviced me never to put my favourite team on my ticket, unless they are in form, am a Manchester United fan but most times I bet against them as long as my ticket is concerned I don't have a favourite team.
Your friend gets you a right advice. Because there is no guarantee that your favorite team will always win, for example, suppose my favorite team is a team that is at the bottom of the team ranking and I support them a lot, now is it possible that I support that team by gambling? Time to win over betting by choosing them?  The answer will be no, I will also suggest that your friend suggest you who is placed your tickets on those clubs who are in current good form.

That's true, even if they are our favorite team, they shouldn't always be our pick, if your goal in betting is to win, of course it's better if you look at the current situation of the players because the team we support won't be able to do it in every situation to  win. If you're only looking or doing for supporting your favorite team that's why you're keeping placing your bet, then go, there's no one stopping you and there's nothing wrong with the advice your friend gives because he's only thinking about the possibilities that can happen if you're not assessing the situation.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: May 01, 2024, 09:57:13 AM
I have seen several topics here and other discussion thread where many people talked about gambling addiction. So many procedures been stated to follow sequentially to reduce the rate at which one frequently visit online gambling sites and possibly their application if they do have any of them.

I remember in one of the threads I raised up a point which was long hidden as the thread became too numerous and lengthy to continue the conversation on that topic. It was my opinion to add up in profering solutions to gambling addiction. I believe not too many people saw it to to say something about it so that is why I had to bring it up as a topic hear. I want to hear your opinion and ideas towards it.

Here is it;

I am of the opinion that since gambling sites are mostly online and some has adds that pops up as advert on visited site, one should be able to disable or change their browser settings  by blocking casino adds and as well disabling  gambling sites on their browser settings so as not to gain access to it anymore till the number of days they deem fit to their resolve. This was just a little tip I gave as a possible solution. I had to put it up here for further discussions so that the bigger community can see it as  well.

If you feel or think here is not the right place for this you can say it. I am open to corrections as we all are here to learn.
Op this is actually a good idea, but blocking the Ads not to pop up on the screen might not really work for gambling addicts. when someone is addicted, the person finds every possible measure to solve his or her problem and by all means. that is to say that when you block the Ads not to pop up on the screen the person must find a way to unblock it unless the person is not an addict. life is full of different challenges and i believe that the only way to tackle addiction challenge is self-discipline and total abstinence from gambling.

In addition, there are so many other ways to stop someone from being an addict, isolation and relocating the person to remote Areas from time to time where network and making new friends will be his major challenges because before he will adapt to the new environment considering the nature of network, he might outrightly quick gambling entirely. however, environment plays major role in one's gambling addiction and can also help to ameliorate the adverse effects of gambling addiction when the person finds it very difficult to adapt in his new environment.

Even if you block gambling advertisements in any social media platforms, if a person is really interested to know more about that gambling, They can do anything just to know more about that activity, especially now that everything is easily accessible once you have your device and internet connection, right? If a person is really addicted in gambling, no matter how hard we try to prevent them from gambling, they find a way just to do it. Do you notice? that's why others end up doing bad thingd and worst case leads to crime just so they can do what they want. It would be good if an addicted person is admitted to a rehabilitation center because there they can focus better, away from things that can remind them about gambling and of course they can be helped to recover when there are medications with them.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: May 01, 2024, 09:37:27 AM
It's true that there are many gambling sites out there, and unfortunately, not all of them are reputable or legitimate. Some may indeed be scams designed to take advantage of unsuspecting players. To avoid falling victim to scams, it's essential to do thorough research before engaging with any online gambling site. Look for reviews from reputable sources, check if the site is licensed and regulated by a relevant authority, and be wary of sites that offer unrealistic bonuses or promotions. Additionally, trust your instincts and if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Always prioritize safety and security when choosing where to gamble online.
You have found the right place to look for a casino site that suits you. You can start searching on this forum and find many trusted and reputable casino sites. You will avoid being victims of fraud because the casino sites on this forum always try to provide good service to their members.

This forum has become a trusted source for many gamblers. They find casino sites that they make their favorite sites. They also trust that the casino will not cheat them and will always provide good service for them.

But we also have to be careful because not all casinos that already have a reputation and are trusted can maintain it. It is difficult to maintain what we have got so it requires better effort. But most of the casino sites on this forum will continue to do their best.

usually when there is a new release of online gambling or casino sites, I'm actually going firsr here in the forum to find if it's legit, here I read different threads where you can find out what you want to know if you just read the comments by other users, we have many fellow gamblers here who share and give warnings if a casino site is a scam but you should also dig deeper and do your own research first before doing any decisions especially that this is a gambling and money is involved here.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: We need higher wages off course but goverment need to do one thing on: May 01, 2024, 08:44:47 AM
This thread 🧵 shows one thing humans are really really really fucked as that can’t agree on foods you can eat never mind the price of the food.

Well as you can see humans have had a long history of life and society. Back then bread and water would have been good but now as we advance so does our culture and beliefs. We have learned about agriculture which is how a lot of countries are accustomed to eating rice and other plant crops meanwhile it is not that common in other countries.

It’s not really about preferences but more of what is accessible and available to them. It’s difficult to reverse thousands of years of cultures and history so we can all agree on what food to eat as a whole.

Coming back to the abilities of different people, not everyone is ready for this change, so I think we have to prioritize ourselves to achieve it all without depending on the government or its policies.
And for food it also depends on our financial capacity to be able to fulfill it or not.

Well said, We should not depend everything to the government, what's more important is for us to gain more knowledge and experiences so we can have a higher pay. in truth, everyone can grow independently especially when it comes to career but are afraid to try and take risks because they don't have confidence in their abilities.

Good update, since pwede pa naman talaga ma pag usapan yan, depends on their discussion and agreement though. Pero i'll take it as a grain of salt, if hindi nila nagawa dati, lalo na now, but let's give them the benefit of doubt if ever na interested ang Binance dito satin.

167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is day by day more popular in middle East. on: May 01, 2024, 04:52:38 AM
United Arab Emirates leads the Middle East in crypto adoption, with 72% of local users investing in Bitcoin

That's awesome! We all know that UAE Is one of the richest country in the Middle east and knowing that there's a lot of locals there are investing in crypto, meaning they are ahead in other countries, As per article that I've read before, Decentralized exchanges built on blockchains like SOL, BSC, and Ethereum are becoming the go to digital platforms for P2P trading and when it comes to digital wallet, trust Wallet, MetaMask, and Bitget Wallet are among the top choices. hopefully, there will be more countries that legalize the use of blockchain like what happened in the UAE, because until now there are still many people who do not accept crypto and are blocked in their country.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: May 01, 2024, 04:34:32 AM
Its too easy to say the older generation did nothing for old age, they just did it differently in my experience.  They built businesses and that was their wealth, it was passed on to the family and gave a yield that way also.  Its also true that people just didnt live as long in prior generations, health care made living to a pensionable age more normal going back a few decades but it used to be far less common.   The government itself  underestimated this dynamic in its long term planning, many large companies did and hold a pension debt that is quite hard to handle now.

I would say if you are correct in investment and pay in something from the twenties then it should be enough.  The problem is finding a good long term reliable form of investment, mistakes are easy/

It's really easy to say, especially if we see what's happening to them now, but we don't know what they went through before and the reason why they didn't have retirement or any investment, especially back then when not everyone had the ability to have money or other source of income and all they do is work to make a living for their family. Since the situation back then is far from now, hopefully in the coming years, the number of people who do not have retirement or any investment to get when they get old will be reduced.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the game 'Fortune Tiger' or the little tiger game famous in your region? on: April 30, 2024, 08:34:00 PM
Hello, here in the country where I live (brazil), betting wasn't such a common thing, but over the last year, things have changed after I heard that people were making money by betting little with a so-called tiger game.

This went viral here and even influencers and Instagram or Facebook pages started promoting this game, there are also variants like fortune mouse and so on.

What do you think of this game, if you don't know it?

I heard that you have to play at the right times and influencers promote new platforms, as the previous ones stop paying and users have to migrate from platform to platform. I'm curious about how to get the hang of this game, but it's a game where you shouldn't be greedy, as it starts with paying and takes your money as your greed increases.

I'm not familiar on that game especially now that I rarely checked some of my social media accounts that's why I didn't see any advertisement about fortune tiger. since it was promoted online by some influencers, I believe that this is a legal gambling but as you warned us, seems like there's something fishy in that game because of repetitive transfer of platforms to other platforms. Much better to check everything about new gambling to avoid participating in a scam games because it will lead you to a worst outcome.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 30, 2024, 10:46:34 AM
~snip~

Yeah right, seems like their pride and guilt that's why they don't accept the fact that it's their fault why they lose. this usually happens to first timer gamblers or those gamblers who are still a little ashamed to admit to themselves that they are the reason why they lost, it seems that is their initial reaction so as not to embarrass other people. They are not matured enough to handle the situation of losing in gambling that's why they are doing that childish act.
They should realize that their mistake is not because they experienced defeat and blamed other people, but their mistake was why they did not first understand the causes and risks of the gambling they were playing. Gambling games can be the cause of someone experiencing a bad addiction if they are not able to control it and it will also become the reason why someone goes bankrupt if they experience a big loss, only brave people are able to take this risk and it not recommended for weak people or blaming other people who have introduced this game, of course a friend has advised him that gambling is a risky game unless he turned a deaf ear to the risks.

Yes, usually people who cannot accept losses or losses are people who are childish and are usually beginners who are a little surprised by gambling because they thought they could make some money through gambling but in fact they couldn't get it and ended up losing. He blamed other people for introducing gambling to him and causing losses.

Well, I hope they realize what they did wrong because sometimes even though they have experienced defeat many times, they still don't learn, they don't think that maybe they should realize where they went wrong or what they should avoid so that they don't end up being in harm. Many people say that a person will learn better when they  experience a situation on itself, but from what I see, not everyone comes out like that because there are still many people who are ignorant of the situations they face, the only thing that matters to them is to have fun and win.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you cashout or wait for the game to conclude? on: April 30, 2024, 09:50:35 AM

I saw this on the media so I decided to bring it here in the forum for us to discuss about it. If you notice in the first image, the bettor played a very risky game which comprises of 15+ games with a huge fee of 1m naira. Please take note that this post is not to promote risky gambling or mislead people to emulate his strategy cause left for me I think he's lucky if he happens to win this bet. Now back to our main point of discussion which is on the second image, out of 17 games, 15 played with just two left and based on the date in the image I think Austin FC won Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 making it the last game left, now if you were the bettor and was given a cashout of 12.4m out of 36m to be won would you rather be patient for the last game to conclude or you'll go with the cashout? Also note that if you cashout you are safe atleast you have made 11m plus extra cash and if you decide to wait it's either you lose or win 36m, what would you do?

This is where the term patience is a virtue comes in, you know that? what we need to do is take a risk and wait because there is our possible winning time and if we fall in being greedy and rush, we might lose more instead of making more money, but we don't have to apply patience in everything because sometimes we also need to monitor and decide properly whether to continue gambling or to cash out, we must know the exact time when to stop especially when we see that we are ahead in a gambling session.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 30, 2024, 09:34:38 AM
Nowadays countries are improving with technology robots have both good and bad aspects. Instead of depending on it you have to improve yourself and use these robots. But in fact these devices are becoming so efficient at doing their jobs that we may end up extinct just by accidentally or unintentionally misusing them. Many believe that this technology may one day go beyond human control manifest itself as an entity.

because we live in a modern technology era and with that, we need to keep up with other country when it comes to innovation of products and services because that's all we need, If everyone always worrying what will happen if we continue using technology then I can say that our economy will never grow ans we will left behind. Using a technology is very useful to everyone because it makes our lives easier and better.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: April 30, 2024, 08:55:03 AM
Getting an MBA degree before starting a business is good as it is not necessary the elements that are needed to help you succeed in business is beyond education as what you need is a strong will to succeed and not only a MBA infact all the business CEOs known today did not start with an MBA it just the mentality and mindset to win

yeah right, I saw a lot of successful businessman without having MBA degree but still succeeded in their goals but it depends what kind of businessman you are, Sometimes even those people who doesn't have a degree can still be a successful entrepreneur but I don't encourage everyone not to have a degree because it is important and it is also a way to become successful person as long as you used it in a good way.
174  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is it to keep your money and gold underground? on: April 29, 2024, 08:03:37 PM
l watched my grandmother many years ago put her dollars, gold, and silver ornaments in a plastic box and bury them in a hole in the ground, marking the spot so she wouldn't forget it later. If ornaments or dollars were needed, she would fetch the necessary items from under the ground, unseen by all. The work is a little difficult, but she has been doing it for almost 30 years, and she is now an old woman.
I was very surprised by her strategy. I liked it, and at the same time, I was curious as to why she put it that way. When I asked her, it would be better to keep the funds in a safe place at home or in the in the bank instead of like this. She then told me that neither the house nor the bank are safe.
Based on that formula, I saw my mother adopt the exact same approach. The mother also has the idea that the bank or house is not safe for these funds, or that it is not a safe place for the money. Because keeping these funds at home is very risky, you should be wary of thieves, robbers, and even rats. Again, in the case of banks, I have heard about the bankruptcy of big banks. Also, if these things are kept in the bank, you have to pay a separate additional fee, and the tax is different.
That's why they consider this novel method to be safe and confidential.
Also, they are senior people, so they have no idea about the crypto world, and it may take me a long time to understand them.

Many may be confused by reading my title. Some may find this approach ridiculous. But this is a different technique and experience for me.

Now I want to ask everyone:
Have any of you ever been aware of this technique before?
And do you think we can keep our savings and wealth underground by adopting this strategy and considering it the safest?
And that being said, how safe do you think it is? At this time?
Yeah, I know that kind of technique before and my late grandparent are also doing that, they believe that this method is more secured, especially back then when saving money in the bank was not very trendy, but if we do that in today's time, it seems vague because it is too modern and high-tech today,  most people are using online banking and digital wallets because people's payment methods are gradually changing, others are actually cashless. If you are asking me if i would do the same? my answer is No, because I'm living in this modern day and I need to keep up with what is the normal things to do in this time.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: April 29, 2024, 11:56:52 AM
Do you also know that when you gamble every day, there is a possibility that the person will get addicted to the game and not just the money they are going to lose? And when a gambler ends up getting addicted, do you still think the game will be boring for him or her? That's when that addiction will make it seem as if they are having fun playing the game, when it's far from the truth.

I don't see gambling as something that can ever bore those who are addicted to it, which is why when I'm talking about gambling every day and its effect, I can only add addiction as one of the effects, but boredom is far from it for me.
I am pretty sure if someone needs to gamble daily, that they are somewhat addicted already. Imho breaks are a good thing to revaluate what's important in our lives and take a step back to think why are we gambling in a first place.

But magical thinking often makes it compulsory, as people think they are going to miss "lucky days". In a same way if someone sticks to one and same row of numbers in a lottery, they can't stop because what if that day is the day those numbers hit. More they play, more it seems like a possibility that they can't afford to miss.

In gambling, it even couldn't happen like that as no one is showing us our missed opportunities, (except maybe in crash game). But i think that many people believe in good and bad luck streaks in a way that they are tied to certain days. It isn't a real thing, but people believe in astrology as well so it's really hard to convince them it's all about randomness.

Doing gambling everyday is a sign of being addicted to it because it seems like they can't live without doing it. People can't get enough placing a bet because they do believe that if they didn't place a bet, it will be a missed opportunity for them to win but there's no certainty of winnings because because the only thing people are holding on to is the thinking that their chances of winning might be wasted if they don't bet but if you look at the outcome, they don't win anyway.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: April 29, 2024, 11:36:13 AM
     -     We have heard of many people who ended up with violent results because of gambling in the casino, others even managed to kidnap their own family just because of their addiction to gambling. Others ended up with a suicidal ending because of the large amount of money they lost in gambling.

These are just some of the negative effects on other gamblers if they do not manage themselves correctly in gambling. so we should just learn to be careful and responsible gamblers when we enter the field industry like this.
that's true, once a person falls under the influence of gambling addiction, they are no longer in the right frame of mind and they no longer know each other properly, even if they try not to follow those who whisper to them, they cannot stop it, so the ending is they do bad things especially to people close to them. It's just sad because sometimes even if they try to stop whatever bad things are running through their minds, they can't do it anymore because they are in a bad situation, so it's really necessary that we have guidance especially if we enter into this kind of gambling, it's necessary we can handle ourselves especially our emotional state so that we don't end up in this situation.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: April 29, 2024, 10:50:55 AM
Online casinos and betting sports are indeed some of the most profitable businesses one could find on the internet, I don't have any doubt about it. Though I am not sure whether they are at the top of the pyramid when comes to profitability and liquidity. There are businesses which have nothing to do with gambling or betting on sports and yet they have managed to reach legend status and gone public in the stock Market of the United States.

Amazon was initially an online store for books and started to slowly evolve into a store for all kind of products. And I believe Amazon is bigger than most or all casinos one can find on the gambling market within internet.

At the pace the industry continues to evolve and grow, I would not be surprised some casino managed to overcome some blue chip companies in the stock market, but as stands for now, it is not the rule of the market.

I think the most profitable business on the internet today is Ecommerce since all of the needs of a person is easily find there and the competition among the other businesses is quite good and almost all businesses need to keep up with the innovation of their business so that they are not left behind, while online casinos are still profitable but not in the top list because not all people are engaging in online casino, Some of them are doing gambling but half of the population growth of gamblers are still doing the traditional gambling.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An aggressive gambler irrelevantly easing his Irresponsible gambling manner. on: April 29, 2024, 08:23:03 AM
Someone betted on boxing and lost the game but the gambler out of grieve of his lost is trying to ease his emotion Said, It is okay as it is for at least the guy I betted on made me lost the game but had unfortunate for him too to had taken beaten of his life.
He has forgotten or he did not know that in boxing, losers can also be paid. Not only winners make money in boxing.

I think such is and aggressive and irresponsible gambler who gambles on the peak of what he can not afford to loose.
I do not know if he placed too much money on the loser but from his expression and emotion, you knew.

He should not think about another person but about himself and how he is gambling. He should start to gamble responsibly. If he used small amount of money to gamble, it will be better.

You mean, losers in the match - the boxer himself, right? Because winner or loser, these boxers really can get their purse split. Sometimes, the loser has higher earnings than the winner, depending on their purse split arrangements. But if you talk about a bettor, definitely, he will lose the money.

I think this is what OP means. When it comes to boxing players, even if you lose in the match, you can also get a paid fee depends to the contract prize that will be given to you, It is a much needed compensation because boxing is not an easy sports, it requires a serious lenght of training and exercise and their life is at risk once they entered the matching ring.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: April 29, 2024, 07:47:19 AM
I have lived in many communities and some States or regions in my country and there are some communities I went and I discovered that women are more productive by going to farm and other daily activities to provide food in the family than men. While the male sons and fathers are busy playing bet with Checkers Game and popular known in my locality "Draft Board Game" and bet on "Whot Card Game". And their.wives would go to farm or fishing to feed the families. Till date those things are common in the places I have visited in the country, mostly the elderly ones who the young once are busy using the casino centers and websites to play their games.

The elderly ones are still busy playing games with the traditional methods so most of us didn't notice that they are gambling but they bet with money and that has become automatically a gambling habit while the younger generation is using the new methods of online and casino Halls. Mostly of this elders would left home early morning to the draft games centers and stay there till evening. Playing games with one another. In most time they use places that sells drinks and smoking things like cigarettes and others. Those places are always busy with elderly people.

Do you see such elderly people in your country? Or is it only in Africa? Is the younger ones play gamble more than the elders?

Here in our country, I can say that when it comes to the population of gamblers, it is balance because nowadays there's a lot of younger people who's actively engaging in gambling activitiea especially in online gambling. It's like the older gamblers is more active in land base casinos and the younger gamblers is more active in online gambling so there's really a balance. Here in our country, sometimes it's just worrying because even the minors have the idea of gambling because of the vulgar advertisements that spread on social media, so I won't be surprised if in the coming years the population of young addicts will increase even more because they became aware at a young age.

If you have a big amount of followers and viewers then you should contact the casino that you want to promote, the casino will send you a balance with a rollover, something like getting $500 with a rollover x60, if you complete the wager then you can keep the money.

The main income from this will be the affiliates that you get from that casino, your viewers should open an account with your affiliate link, and for each wager they do you get a commission.
Roblox is more video game content and not casino content I think.

Getting started streaming isn't the hard part @OP, it's getting followers, viewers, subscribers that's the hard part. Get you a good set up and stay vigilant. You won't get there in a day, but with some work, next year at this time you never know where you might be.

It's easier to attract many followers if he start with video game content, I know people who do this and I am also a softcore gamer, most times I even go on YouTube to stream video games that are new or in my watchlist first, all he has to do is get good camera with higher end PC and he should start trying out new games one after the other.

Then he can start introducing gambling later, he needs trusty fan and it will take time to get to the stage, a friend use more than 3 years on Twitch and YouTube to gain good numbers of followers and today he is doing so well than before.

OP needs to become a smart character who gives fan what they crave for so that they can start clicking on the follow button and it should keep them coming back for more, only him can figure this out.

Whatever he is streaming he needs to put on a show. Just sitting there watching a video game played or a slot spin without any chat interaction or entertainment outside of the game will be a waste of his time IMO.

So much better before you start streaming a game or advertising an online gambling game, you must have built a community or supporters who will watch and monitor your streaming days, well in the beginning there won't be that many people who will support you so you should first introduce yourself to the viewers and give effort and a good strategy to gain more viewers. At first, you have almost no viewers, unless you are a celebrity or a famous influencer, even if they don't introduce themselves, many people will automatically visit their streaming and others will drop tokens just to get noticed, but if you are just a normal  streamer, work until you reach the point where you are like other influencers.
