1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Portable bitcoin client downloads 1 block and stops on: April 18, 2011, 11:05:47 PM
Check the task manager if 2 or more bitcoin.exe running.
If more than one then end process all & start again from portable.
Usually with server switch or bitcoind, exit don't exit it from memory.

Also Thanks for mentioning there is a portable version. I tried & it works flawless.
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Problems Communicating With Bitcoin RPC - Troubleshooting? on: April 18, 2011, 10:57:10 PM

1604  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Lowering mem clock to idle speeds SPEEDS UP Mh/s on: April 18, 2011, 10:05:15 PM
Is there anyway to run MSI Afterburner to automatically Over clock of memory also?
I did my best & it loads core clk as 1038 on startup, but memory 1050 only, then i move the slider to minimum, for me 525, apply & restart MSI AF.
Restarting shows core as 900 & mem as 1050, but clicking saved profile, brings it to 1038/360.
I want MSI AF or if any other software there to automatically apply OC, so no human interaction needed to mining.
Tried with MSI AF 2.0 & 2.1

EDIT: With out loosing warranty or guarantee & also no flashing & only software based.

1607  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~160 Gh/s Mining Pool] INSTANT PAYOUT,+1% with LP! +0.8% for no failed blocks! on: April 18, 2011, 04:16:15 PM
The only way to decrease shares counter is to press "reset" button.
Are you really sure that it was more than 10414 ?
Currently i'm checking my log files to see if there is a bug, will post an update after this.
I am sure, coz i saw 999, 3 -999's if it was 9999, then it is impossible to jump to 10414 after i woke up system from sleep.
~500 shares cant be added to my account with out i mined.
I refresh my account page every 1 minute with script. so that i always be sure that my shares added & also to check my balance.....
I just chcked my log files.
It looks like you loaded stats page at 6:40 and posted in this thread at 6:44, then you are reloading the page once per minute since 6:49.
As of 9:28 UTC you had submitted a total of 10818 postworks since last reset, including all stales and invalids, so the counter is correct at this time, no shares were lost.

If you saw 10999, then there is some bug in my statistics page that I have to find. Working on this.

If this matches your log, then the fault is in statistics page.

I saw 10999 shares in my account & after a minute it went back to 10414. 500+ shares vanished?
How it can be?
I mined until 9 am & put system in sleep mode, after power back , i woke up system & it started mining.
I refreshed my account page & saw 10999 shares, then again refresh after a minute & saw 10414 shares.
How can 500+ shares can vanish in 1 minute?
Is my shares got steal by some one?

1611  Bitcoin / Mining / Pool Owners or Operators can steal your shares??? on: April 18, 2011, 06:47:50 AM
Today for some odd reasons my share went missing.

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3889.msg88576#msg88576

Is there possibility that a pool owner or operator can steal shares those who mine in his/her pool?
Also, is there some way some one hack/attack & steal shares of members of a pool?
Some one explain.

The best thing, give the free coin 14-20 hours after the newbie ask with gmail account.
This gives time to know how many free coin request came & even time to verify many things.
It won't bother newbies as all knows any transaction used to take place 1-10 days with banks & now with internet transaction even paypal takes 10 minutes-1,2 days WITH fees.
So, newbies, really newbies wont worry much. & it will make stealer insane, coz he won't get immediately.

Edited.
1614  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - now supports puddinpop's RPCminers on: April 17, 2011, 08:54:29 PM
Actually I figured it out. Console was saying:

"more than one platform found, use --platform to select one
 stream[0] - stream sdk
 stream[1] - ati parallel processing"

I was using the --platform command wrong. I fixed it by adding the --platoform=0 argument. Does anyone know what the two choices mean? 0 seems to give me slightly higher hash rate.

2 choice only comes if you have installed amd app 2.3 & ati stream 2.2 or less.

If your graphics card is 6000 series, KEEP amp app 2.3 or greater & remove ati stream 2.2 or less
If your graphics card id 5000 or less series KEEP ati stream 2.2 or less & remove amd app 2.3

besides, u can just add --platform=0 & if it didn't work then --platform=1
It clearly shows 0 is stream means 2.2 or less & 1 means 2.3 or more.

Did you guys check the site in chromium/chrome? It looks kinda screwy.

Nope. will do that later.

Edit: jsut checked, looks fine to me.

on my chrome (win 7 atm), the page is all on the left side, as if the page width is locked to 640pixels and aligned-left.

I checked with google chrome, comodo dragon, IE9, FF4. In all its in left side only. No difference
1616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Protect This Domain From Being Seized? on: April 16, 2011, 08:49:25 PM
We are MAKING money here, is it tough to get domain names in all countries ?

yes, as many ccTLDs have presence or citizenship requirements.  For example, to get a .ca domain, you need to either live in Canada or be a corporation operating in Canada.
I am in India, if needed i buy domain name, .co.in for bitcoin.
What you thinking? Bitcoin is not used by single person, It WILL be the currency of world & all the members here are from not one country, but countries all around the world & every one can buy a domain name in his country.

3 days, no one replied.
seems telling truth make teller bad person, so everyone can avoid.
loaning some random guy on the internet 1000 dollars ? I dont see how that could go wrong at all!

Might want to get registered here and perform a few trades first so you can build some trust.

Also their are other domain names like info, even the now famous xxx.

If US seize, only they get fooled & will give us bursting publicity as wikileaks got.
Actually, i came to know bitcoin only due to US domain seizing wikileak, in an article it was posted as they seizing .com, what if they already controlling with USD & try to pull plug, to avoid that a new decentralized virtual currency created by Satoshi Nakamoto blah blah.........

http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/213230/could_the_wikileaks_scandal_lead_to_new_virtual_currency.html

So fear not about pulling plug, coz some one immediately PUT the plug.

If not US may try other methods.
