My word, what a mess.
Well, I've railed on people enough for trusting these folks in the first place. I'll just say I sincerely hope all works out for the best for all of you still waiting on this. For those of you in the northern hemisphere anyway, it's summer, go float down some rivers on inner-tubes, have some bbq's and drink heavily with friends while you're waiting this out. Good luck.
+1....and those invested in Pirate's "business".....don't be surprised if something goes wrong and you end up losing some if not all of your investment.

Have'n a beer watching the game ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 10$ will either appear next week, or in 4 months I think its very likely we will be seeing a short term down trend from here. much like 7.20 to 5, this time the 9.50 high will stabilize at 7$ 8$ but in the long term and mid term bitcoin is defiantly going for a never ending bull run. Its not unreasonable to think an EXTREME price correction on the up side will happen in the next few years, it really wouldn't take much to set off the bomb that is bitcoin That is something someone who doesn't understand how markets work would say. Bitcoin long-term is bullish, but to say it will be "never ending" is just silly. Money will flow in to bitcoin and out of bitcoin.....rinse repeat....at what rate this happens is anyone's guess. I still believe the recent ~50% run up in price since 2 months ago is all speculation. I mean how many more merchants accept bitcoin from then until now? What like 20? Bitcoin is still in its infancy. More of a steady rise in price over long-term is healthier for the bitcoin economy. look go to Google type in "never ending bull run" click images the very first image is me cheering i am not kidding, do it I'm sorry can't do it mate. I've already done the research on how markets work. There is no "never ending bull" market. That's like saying the price can only go up. Even in hyperinflation the bull run ends. DUhhh Never ending bull run![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.floozeesdoozees.com%2FWordPress%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F04%2Ficanthearyou.jpg&t=663&c=BupulXETEFWUwA) I'm sorry I wont wake you up from your crazy never ending bull market wet dream lol

This thread is so in denial. More for me.
I make more btc by mining litecoins.
Also a currency doesn't need monopoly status. And its intrinsic value is not how many people use it, but rather this: intrinsic value = how many people use it * (how quickly they use it * how much they expect for it) / (avg duration between purchase and delivery / avg item value)
Litecoiners are not in denial about the coming collapse. Bitcoiners are already done building their bunkers. Early adopters have no pedestrian needs. Newcomer's skills are not in demand with those who have the money.
If anything will bring down a currency it's the community becoming brittle and stagnant. Litecoin isn't quite there yet.

You guys are retarded to assume pirate is the only player. You're also way off topic. There are already enough pirate FUD threads, can we keep this one for screenshots, or am I just going to have to give up on this subforum?
If I'm retarded then you must be retarded^21,000,000 ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I think I made a mistake, but I cant find it. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Pirate (or whoever) sold low and bought high, so he must have lost money,BUT, I wrote: Around 44k BTC were involved over the past 4 dumpings on the 17th (34k BTC) and the 20st (10k BTC), when the price was brought down from around 8.8 to 7.8$ in a big dump. Those two combined bring the total USD aquired in those moves to ~450000 USD.*
Around 70k BTC were then bought 4 hours ago driving the price up from 8.81 USD to 9.70 USD, equalling an average price of 9.255 USD/BTC for all the USD spent. That means, around 647850 USD were sold for 70k BTC.*
In combination, those 44k BTC spent from the 17th to the 20st of July have yielded around 4500 BTC today in pure profit. He also bought additional 21500 BTC today, driving his total balance to 70k BTC. There maybe more that we just dont see yet. Lets only look at the 44k BTC mentioned. They were sold for ~450,000 USD. Then those 450,000 USD were reinvested in buying 48622.36629 BTC! at around 9,255 USD/BTC. That is a 4622.36629 BTC profit. How can this be? What am I overlooking here ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) your 450,000 USD would have put the 44kBTC sell at $10 per. that's where your math error is. 44k BTC bought at average 8.3 would have acquired them only 365,200 USD You guys are right, thank you! I have edited my post. The total losses from those trades described, based on a 44k BTC investment amount to ~4500 BTC. someone has too much money on their hands lol....or they are just retarded at trading.

Namecoin has a suggested use but given there are like 5 people squatting all the good domain names....its pointless...no market....just monopoly (sort of)

right now its the middle of the day in Japan. They should be working on this. But I would also expect to see some sort of public announcement saying whats going on and when trading will commence.

well if u start another chain that does make mining only feasible for cpus im sure you will have many interested parties wanting to help the project That is a technical impossibility. And of course you are the "know it all". So please elaborate...

lets say they are "easy" to make......it will cost millions for production to start.
I answered my own question in the android miner thread. even running the optimized neon code from pooler an a9 isn't power competitive. still, settings for scrypt using 32-128mb would have been better I think -- gpus have faster ram than most any other consumer or industry device. edit: okay, sorry to be OT but if you wanted to make it CPU mining only, why wouldn't you just set the memory requirement to be 1 gigabyte per thread? Most computers right now have 4-16GB of RAM --> 4-16 threads, which would be terrible on a GPU with only 1-2GB of RAM. You could make the blockchain halving occur every 18 months and then with the blockchain halving increase the amount of RAM required by 2 eg (1GB -> 2GB). In accordance with Moore's law, that would keep the quantity of RAM being used on target for a CPU and most likely always above that provided for by a GPU. So why didn't artforz do this in the first place? well if u start another chain that does make mining only feasible for cpus im sure you will have many interested parties wanting to help the project

later in headlines: After huge outage of major bitcoin exchange, bitcoin rate seems surprisingly stable and on track with rallying without a diminished demand. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) market will be volatile once trading resumes Pirate: Hey Mark, do you think you could halt all trading so I can buy all the bitcoins? Mark: Sure no problem, just do me one favor in return, since you will have all the bitcoins I would like to collect a 7% interest rate on top of all bitcoins you will have. Pirate: But there are no more bitcoins..... Mark: Too bad, sucks to be you. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
