17141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved. Improved to scam you? on: September 01, 2011, 07:40:14 PM
Here is a quote I found in the off-topic section:

Well when you first approached me about the ideas you had for some improvements to the Bitcoin client/chain I was supportive as I too had seen some of them problems and helped you out in getting it done. And I told you right from the start it had to be fair with everyone having an equal shot at it so we launched in the night so them little scumbags at the btcguild could not screw it over like they did before with other forks. Well it has turned out not to be that way no matter what kind of sense I tried to get you to see you just went on your merry way with your fellow pump and dump artist noagendamarket screwing people over on the Bitparking exchange with your funky little games I stayed up almost two straight days battling you little weasels from pumping up that price and ripping more people off.

Makes me regret giving those 14000 SC I did as a thank you for what I thought at the time was doing it right and was thinking only fair you get some of the benefit. Well little did I know what an absolute scumbag you are and you want to know what the topper was well what do you do on the day of the best news for SC that we had cash exchange opening you go with more of your BS SolidCoin is ready for Bitcoin demise instead of the good news. Then when I ask you on IRC about putting bounty up for spreading some good news your response is I don't listen to anyone don't you know as I had already told you repeatedly and maybe you would put it on the market page and perhaps go on IRC to let people know they could get invites no bounty for that god forbid good news gets a bounty for it and as I told you before it is just not in your nature your a mean spirited little man. Well that was the wrong answer to my question and by doing that you failed the test I had already set in my mind leading me to post this to let people know just what you are all about and speaking of IRC real class move de-op'ing me your one petty little SOB.

BTW I lied about having kept logs of the IRC chats had you sweating there for a bit it certainly stopped that new pump and dump you were up to at the time dead in its tracks thinking I may just have them. Well there it is people you can help this little weasel get rich by continuing to mine SC and make it a success or you can do like I have drop it and him like a hot potato. He does have a point about the Bitcoin shortcoming such as lose of hash power will indeed make it un-useable so hopefully the Bitcoin devs get off their asses and get something done for a change doubt it but you never know they may actually get doing something for a change. Anyways this is all I have to say on the subject at hand you have a nice day.

Edit: Now I have thought about it I have no actual first hand knowledge noagendamarket was involved that is only what the lying little weasel told me.

EDIT: The plot thickens? Let's watch where the price of solidcoins go in the weeks to come.

So how then would one convince an investor to buy solidcoins at a 10x premium above i0coins if in fact they have the same algorithm? lol

How would you convince an investor to buy bitcoins at a 60x premium above solidcoins if in fact they have a worse algorithm? ^^

I dont have to. That's the point bitcoin has a much more established market share than solidcoin.

LOL Cheesy

EDIT: I guess all 13 Terahashes of people mining are IDIOTS because they are still mining BTC based on your comment right? LOL

I just find when people start saying subjective things they usually don't have any substance to whatever they are trying to get across.... that's one of my values. If you find something factual to say I'm all ears.
"subjective"? Like nearly everything you post, including this http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php article?

LOL

My guess is the overall price of solidcoins for the next few weeks will be lower than it is currently.

At the moment there exists 693 BTC worth of bids on bitparking exchange and ixcoins has 251 BTC worth of bids and i0coins have 274 BTC worth of bids.

And this is at the same time when solidcoins are 6 times the price of ixcoins and 10 times the price of i0coins when the total market bids in BTC are about 3 times at most for solidcoins as to ix or i0.

Conclusion: Solidcoin price is overpriced and needs to deflate pushing price downwards in the near term.

Updated  Grin

PREVIOUS BTC ORDERS VALUE ON BITPARKING EXCHANGE
solidcoin - 693btc
ixcoin - 251 btc
i0coin 274 btc

CURRENT BTC ORDERS VALUE ON BITPARKING EXCHANGE
solidcoin - 556 btc
ixcoin - 227 btc
i0coin 248 btc

Hmm... Now do we have 2 chains? Tongue

Yeah. One for every brain cell used to copy SolidCoin's code to use as a solution for ixcoin's failure. Smiley

LOL this thread is friggen hilarious!  Tongue
17147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Bitcoin To Collapse? on: September 01, 2011, 07:08:38 PM
I want to own every single type of cryptocurrency available to mankind.

Big business opportunity here:

1) Start a block chain once a day.
2) FlipPro will buy the useless coins from all of them.
3) Endless profit!!!

If you still haven't noticed, that is exactly the reason why someone starts a new block chain that is just a copy of bitcoin. But people get what they deserve.

Someone should write a patch for bitcoin so that the chain parameters can be specified as a command line argument. That way new block chains could be setup on a much higher rate, until all "curious" people have been milked as much as possible.
I didn't buy IX or I0. Those were obvious scams... But I do own , Bitcoins, Namecoins , and Solidcoins. You won't be thinking I am so stupid when all these coins hit their respective peaks. And if I loose a few that's fine to.

And actually IX and I0 coins are scams no more since they now have resurrected their network by copying Solidcoins new algorithm lol.

How ironic...

So how then would one convince an investor to buy solidcoins at a 10x premium above i0coins if in fact they have the same algorithm? lol

First 50 to post about the "SolidCoin is ready for Bitcoin collapse" article on their blog/forum/twitter* - 20 SC

interestingly, it is nowhere said that the post have to be positive about solidcoin...  Coinhunter, can get the bounty for my above post ?

http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php

The tone of this article is similar to Gaddafi threatening NATO countries one month ago...

Can you feel the fear ? It looks like the end is near for SolidCoin

Sounded like an infomercial.

Interesting facts pointed out. 11% of the bitcoin hashing power went to the solidcoin network for what like 24 hours? 48 hours at most?

The mt. gox hack, mybitcoin.com, and other catastrophies surrounding bitcoin are not in fact problems with bitcoin itself.

There are subtle references to facts that are skewed in favoring solidcoin to make solidcoin look better.

Yes the difficulty algorithm was originally part of solidcoin's source, but as we move forward in an open-source world there are many block chains that could come along and add other features including ones that solidcoin introduced and dilute the market share altogether.

Solidcoin thus far is a success, but how long has it been...what 2 weeks at most?

Give it another 2 months and let's see where things stand.

As you indicated it sure sounds like it could be the end of solidcoin...we'll see.

Your claim that SC is over because of 1 heavy-handed post is so far off...

Did you even read what I wrote? I never claimed the post was going to kill SC it was ThomasV who wrote it. I just said "we'll see".

EDIT: Just because someone missed an opportunity doesnt mean they made a bad call and lost. No one can make every perfect trade as obviously you don't realize given your comment.

Sure but when you make 20 times less than what you could have and then tell people to listen to your "sound judgement" it's a bit rich. The truth is, you don't know much at all about the future and what's going to happen. If you did, you wouldn't have sold for only 30BTC instead of waiting 48 hours and making 600BTC.

And yes, everyone please sell SolidCoins. Over 80% of them are being hoarded, I'd like to buy them cheaper. 0.015 is a good price, it's probably going to be 0 in a few days. Everyone sell!

Once again you missed the fact that magnitude of profit on a single trade is irrelevant to overall outcome in one's profit over a period of time longer than a day. If I make $20,000 on my first day of trading solidcoins but lose $500 per day for the next 365 days, would that be a better scenario?

LOL
17153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 10:50:13 AM
Funny thing is that I did not make 205 BTC trading solidcoins for btc back and forth purely based on luck. Also I am not making my predictions purely based on just guessing.

But you used that same brain to sell 25000 coins for 30 BTC when you could have made 600BTC 2 days later?

LOL. Yeah. I'll keep listening.

Hmm so me taking 30 BTC for 12 hours of mining and then turning that into 205 BTC I guess merits nothing right?

Watch the price over the next 10 days.

Did you see the URL of this forum? "Bitcointalk.org"?
You know why you got attention for you coin in the first place?
Do you realize why your coin ever got where it is now?

Can't wait till I get home to dump those coins on the exchange...

And why do I care exactly? BTC isn't as good as SC and has lots of known issues. If you can't handle that then yes, sell all your SolidCoins and move back to the inferior network.

I'd welcome a lower price.

Everyone sell your solidcoins given that Coinhunter wants a lower price for solidcoins.

Wow.  I didn't think it was possible, but you seem to be getting more sleazy by the day.

indeed. please do not remove this article; it exposes the true nature and motivation of Coinhunter :-)

Until 10 minutes ago, I loved this coin...

I'm gonna sell all of my 19,212 SolidCoins for Bitcoins.
This totaly sucks.

Do what you think is best. You selling them helps others wanting them. Good luck with your choice.

About 600 BTC has been taken off the bids and I guess moved to Ruxum. It was at about 1200BTC visible bids earlier. And a lot more not shown according to doublec. But alas who is to say what is overpriced or not, maybe it is and you should sell what you have.

Let's watch and see how the market moves over the next 10 days...  Cheesy

EDIT: I suppose you TOO are just speculating given you used the word "guess" in your response above.
17157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ixcoin difficulty estimate at block 20055? on: September 01, 2011, 10:42:18 AM
how does one "steal" FOSS exactly? XD

As if all these people that say this, don't understand FOSS or even know what it is.

One of the biggest advantages pushed to programmers of FOSS is that, yes, someone else can use your code, but you then get their improvements and changes too if you want them. And there are many other things as well but most of them boil down to, well...

Every piece of code I write as open-source, I open-source because my goal is the good of the community.

Thomas took code that was made open-source for the good of the community, made no improvements, contributions, or meaningful changes whatsoever. He simply re-released it to try and have it be for the good of him and only him. He wasn't trying to take Satoshi's openness and be equally open: He was trying to take Satoshi's idea and modify it for his own financial benefit at the expense of others, and he contributed nothing whatsoever in return.

Then when ixcoin blew up...

Thomas of course gives multiple speeches about how his goal was to have an exact copy of Bitcoin. Except with a different block chain. And very minor reward adjustments. He throws all that right out the window when he needs code from SolidCoin. "Yeah, I want a direct fork of Bitcoin. Oh, shit. Direct fork won't make me lots of money. Time to grab code from elsewhere."

Also, for the record, yes, FOSS can indeed be stolen, as far as the legal system is concerned. Linksys/Cisco comes to mind... And then there was another one, I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but they took open-source libraries and embedded them into a commercial application which was sold for profit, and they were slapped with a restraining order commanding them to remove all of the offending code or stop distributing software.

+1 So true.

Yes Ruxum server is under heavy load at the moment, which I guess in a way is good news? Anyone needing invites just PM me or ask around, there are plenty to share.

I suggest you remove the article or you just killed SolidCoin.

Most of SolidCoin miners are Bitcoin fanatics, like me.
Without Bitcoin, nobody would ever start to mine your SolidCoin.

Why?
- Bitcoin made this possible for you
- no way to sell them for $ at the start so no one would mine them.

SHHHHHHHHHH!

Yes it needs to die. It gives a bad name to all the serious forks currently under development.

I dunno, I kind of like Ixcoin.  I was able to buy a shiny new 5970 from my first day of mining Pumping&Dumping IxC Smiley
