Why would they remove Shivam Dubey from a batting position where he has been very effective? He has scored 3 consecutive half century playing in that position. The CSK ballers have been quite effective. I guess you did not see the last few overs when Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal, were hitting boundaries on a yorker ball. it was their exceptional batting that helped RR get over 200 runs otherwise the target would have been in the range of 170 - 180.

Akash Singh and Tushar Deshpande indeed represent the weakest opening ball pair but their stats are changing rapidly. Devon Conway was out after playing just 16 balls I do not think he wasted a lot of balls. The problem was the middle overs when Adam Zampa and Ashwin started bowling, this led to the asking RR going above 10 runs an over. CSK lost a total of 5 important wickets to these two spinners. It was the spin bowling attack that caused CSK to lose the match.

I think Srilanka might have thought that they would win the second test match in the same manner as the first one. They never expected the Irish team go beyond 400. To counter that they had to bat good and that is why those big records happened.

In the second innings Srilanka is going for the kill. Already 5 wickets gone in quick succession. Ireland still has 100 runs lead and If they are able to chase those runs I don't think they will be to give a good target to Srilanka.

RR spinners helped them win the match against CSK. I also never expected RR to set a target of more than 200 runs. All thanks to Dhruv Jurel & Devdutt's agressive batting in the end. For CSK the bowling was very sloppy & so was the fielding in the last 5 overs.

What impressed me was the power packed agressive hitting of Shivam Dubey. He has be consistent for the last three matches. If Devon Conway had played well then the outcome of yesterday's would have been different, I guess.

I am the biggest fan of two Indian cricketers, the first one is Sachin Tendulkar and the next is MSD. These two guys have changed the face of Indian cricket. I am praying every time whenever CSK plays that MSD comes up in the batting order till now it has not happened. I hope he does it today and we can again see him delivering what he was known for in his international career.

I never expected the Srilankan board to create a batting friendly pitch. For test cricket, I would always like a pitch that is more bowler friendly as Test cricket is a game that tests the skills and patience of a batter.

Ireland being a new test team was able to give a target of 492 runs proving this pitch is not a bowler's paradise. Srilanka replied with 704 runs and according to me, it is not what I expected. I expected somewhere around 800 runs from Srilanka. I would say it happened because of good bowling by the Irish team.

In the end, Srilanka would win that is for sure.

Yesterday while watching the match between KKR & RCB I found another Indian spin talent. I am talking about Suyash Sharma, a 19 year old guy with a bright future. I went ahead and check his stats and found out of the total 6 IPL matches that he has played he took 9 wickets. He has an economy of 8.12 which is acceptable in T20 format with an average of 21.67. The only drawback with this guy is that he cannot bat still the next time India's T20 team is announced you can expect his name on that list.

Everything was going the right way for MI until Abhinav Manohar came to bat. Watching him bat with Miller was absolutely mind blowing. I never expected GT to even reach 150 but these two led their team to go beyond 200. From MI it was Nehal Wadhera who gave some hope in the last overs. If he had got proper support from the other end then MI would have chased the target more efficiently. Poor form of MI batters has crippled them in this season.

I doubt KL would become a WK when we know Bharat is the official one. Thakur can bat but I haven't seen him batting in the test format. The recent performance of Rahane in IPL helped him to get a berth in the test team.

I seriously was not expecting RCB to win against RR. What happened yesterday was incredible. The wicket that RCB needed was of Ashwin and they got it, rest is history.
