1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Community research: To drink or to buy coins? on: July 30, 2023, 01:22:14 AM
I don't have any special drink that I drink every day, it's mostly clean water (not from a plastic bottle or tap) or natural juices that we make every year. What I like to drink is good wine, and such wines have a price of around 50 EUR per bottle, - and I personally have no dilemma about what to buy, because when I buy a good wine, I drink one bottle and save the other as an investment🍷

Water is water no matter where it's gotten from you just have to make it look unique, treat it like you treat something special with so much care, and one would think you got it at 50 eurs like you said for the wine.
Drinking of wine is another thing I really don't find interesting and I can't tell which had the best taste,. There's something in me that don't really accept wine, ones I perceive the smell of alcohol it kills my appetite for it I just don't know why. Is best I go for water instead😅.

Of course, some wines are more special than others, not only because of quality, but also because of some other things Smiley

Having a special wine would really cost a lot, with you being a connoisseur, it means you have to go for the real deal and you spend more to get that unique wine. I know you can do anything to get a better wine even if you spend up to 100 EUR😅.
1622  Economy / Speculation / Re: How did you see BTC in future? on: July 30, 2023, 12:52:05 AM
BTC prediction in years 2023, 2024 and 2025

According to my opinion In 2023, the price of the BTC reached $40k expected at the end of the year and the average movement price is between $25k to $28k.
Bitcoin price prediction will continue to rise during 2024 the price of BTC between $50k to $60k and the average moving line of BTC is $55k 2025 also expected that
the Bitcoin price prediction that will continue to rise in the year 2025 where I expect that BTC will brake the ATH and build a new ATH on $100k.

With so much expectations on this I believe everyone is having this hope that it would reach a certain amount that would make you guys smile and say I predicted it to be this way. Till today I still find it difficult to believe that Bitcoin prize would get up to $40k this year because of the prediction of last year that this year it will get to $60k if I'm not mistaken, but up till now we're still seeing it struggling to surpass $30k. I ones saw it that way but with the recent ups and downs of the prize I feel it might not get to $40k this year.

I don't want to put my hope and high expectations of it getting to $50-$60 next year until I see it, this time around is best to be a doubting Thomas. For me the prize is some how not encouraging for traders, 2025 might be the year it will get to $60k if care is not taken.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 29, 2023, 07:32:12 PM
This transfer window is just the best time for Harry Maguire to take a bow from the UTD side because it has been made clear that they don't need his services any more and things are not just going well for the man Maguire. As it is his market value have dropped drastically if not so, I don't see why West Ham would have the nerves to drop £20m for a player Manchester United paid a huge sum to get from Leicester.
If I'm the man is best I leave the side and make a move to a place I have to play and show my full potential.
Harry Maguire is a good player and I think if he moves to a new club he might get himself back, as for now Manchester United is not good for him.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if salaries were paid in BTC on: July 29, 2023, 07:02:59 PM
A friend of mine in our discussion today about Bitcoin was insisting that salaries and wages be paid in Bitcoin in some countries.
I was of the opinion that the government will not allow fiat to be replaced by Bitcoin .so what is your take on this will it be a positive move on the Bitcoin ecosystem or not

Having salaries being paid in Bitcoin would be one great experience depending on the country because I don't think some countries would buy the idea of paying with Bitcoin since is not acceptable.
Another problem that is stopping it from happening is the government, they won't let it go down that easy since is not like fiat that can be monitored while Bitcoin can't be monitored. The government would do everything possible not to let Bitcoin come out of the open. The idea is charming but is not going to be easy for it to happen (paying salaries with Bitcoin).
1625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: July 29, 2023, 06:36:12 PM
Patient is one of the key every BTC holders must embrace when waiting for bull market to come, because is a type of season every long and short BTC holders want to see before the end of the year before they can visit the market to sell. I bought BTC early last year when the price was $20k, and the price has taken a good step early this year to hit $30k which is very close to my expectations before I will start selling my BTC to have another opportunity to buy and hold for another bull to come. If you can endure with the current price situation, and hold not to allow any challenges make you to sell in this condition, I guess you will make a huge amount of profits from your holding soon. If the price of BTC reach $40k next month will you sell? I know many people will not sell until the price reach $100k, which it will take a long years before such dream will come to pass. What is your opinion.

Bitcoin to hit the prize $100k I never see that happening in a very long while. If you say $40k I'll say it might happen but the way the price is moving from $30k down to $29k now I'm not sure $40k will b possible in the next 3 months, I feel before the end of this year it won't get up to $35k talkless of getting to $40k.
Traders really need to apply patience especially now that the prize is look like it will be in their favor maybe in two weeks time it will go up to $31k and stay there for sometime before going back down. I'm just say because like we all know Bitcoin is never stable.

The last bull run had everyone on the tip of their toes, a lot of
I would love to know you all's predictions for the next bull. I'm thinking anywhere around $100,000? May looking at how far the previous bull runs were able to reach, I think that would be a good price to place it 😊👍, but I'm still open to whatever wild opinions you all may have. Roll Eyes

I'll continue to say it, all these are just prediction or should I say expectations and when it will happen that it will get to $100k no one would see it coming. At this point in time I see Bitcoin struggling to get to a higher price, to me I don't see it getting to $40k in the next two months as it is. Even the next bull might not be what you're thinking at the moment.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 29, 2023, 02:14:45 AM
I still don't know about the way Liverpool fans sees their team next season but I don't see them doing well next campaign because it seems they're letting much of the experience they have on the midfield to go without getting more of it. They seem to be very quiet in this transfer window and I think it will be bad for them next season.
Fabinho leaving the side is something they should be very worried about because that man is like a solid rock for the Liverpool team and he always play out his best in every position Klopp plays him. So I ask if there's any player that can fill in that gap next season for Liverpool? To me I don't think so, is a dead end to getting a replacement.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 29, 2023, 01:54:43 AM
Another team that looks like they're not having a good time in this competition is the France team, they're just struggling with the way they play and many may think that they (Fance women) should be making Group F unbearable for the Brazil women but it seems the Brazil women are having the upper hands in that group.
When both teams get to knock heads together later today I just feel the game won't be going either way, it would be tough for the Brazilian women national team and I picture the France team to wake up in this encounter to pick up their form to either get a win but as it is I see that fixture ending in a draw.

Una dy see say nah our old grand grand parents dy collect the bride prize and e go shock una say very soon those set of people no go dy to collect those money again oh, things go change and believe me say with time ones them don make Bitcoin advance like to let am stand fit for our country things wey we no expect go happen but that poor network something wey one of our brother talk nah true, but we fit still do this GS for where network dy friendly. I just get that feeling say this thing fit happen.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 28, 2023, 02:23:06 PM
The lioness are just taking things slow and steady with a 1 nil win in today's encounter, I still don't know why the performance of the lioness is not that impressive to me, I expected them to do more like they have all it takes to make opposition be scared of playing them. If they (England female team) get to meet a team like Japan I don't think they can escape the force of the Japanese, to me the Lioness are too sluggish and they can't go far if they continue playing in that manner. Let's see how their next game would be like.
1631  Economy / Reputation / Re: deadsea33 has locked his own complaint thread without resolution on: July 28, 2023, 09:35:31 AM
I think this is a perfect time for the puppeteer controlling the deadsea33 account to make a post. What he started by creating a thread to argue about a neutral tag (that hugeblack gave him) has spiralled in to an investigation of mass merit abuse.

I don't think you have seen the last of Deadsea33, as it is that guy is still going to mold another account but this time he's going to play a different ball game and he'll be very careful about his move in this forum. First time I saw that account I was like how did he get such merit and he's still a member, even when I was a member to get up to 3merits was hard but how did he do that 700+ merit? Mehn... You guys need to dig out how he got such merit. Was even wondering why he started something (a thread of being neutral tag) he knows he wasn't going to win.
For now, the Sea is dead...

Quote
It is not the only time account farmers have challenged tags and then found their account examined which led to the uncovering of nefarious conduct using multiple alt-accounts: Questionable Merit History From: deadsea33

On that part of uncovering crazy farmers account I must recommend you guys, is not easy to dig deep and get things right, you guys are really trying so much in keeping this place to gather, just keep doing what's best for the forum by unfolding those black sheep's who intend to spoil the good work you guys have been doing.
1632  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin is Good but it cannot replace our Naira on: July 28, 2023, 07:15:37 AM
The past one week has been and is still hell for Nigerians. Everyone is feeling the heat and it is getting "worser". However, one of the things I have noticed is that it has caused or should I say forced business people to adapt to cashless economy. The number of cash transfers has increased. Just a couple of days ago , a woman whom I usually buy some food items from was eager to accept transfer. Something she refused a couple of weeks ago. Well, this is not the main point of the write, the point I am trying to make is that I have imagine that we can use Bitcoin for transactions but you see eh, it cannot totally work. Even the cash transfer we do because you still need cash to pay the taxi driver, the commercial motorcyclist(okada), the woman who sells roasted corn down your street. So I came to the conclusion that bitcoin is good but with wetin my eyes don see, e nor go fit ever replace or substitute for our Naira. How you take reason am? You disagree or agree?

My senior oga, this one for work oh but the people wey dy inside this contri dy like things to happen sharp sharp even the transfer of our naira dy delay and people dy para say them no see am wen dem do transfer con be Bitcoin, something wey many people no know about and how e dy work...hehe..if nah wetin you wan use pay for wetin you buy that means nah wahala you buy join, as long as many people no know pin about Bitcoin e no go work.
So for me I go say I disagree.
1633  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Imagine wetin we fit use BITCOIN do on: July 28, 2023, 06:49:13 AM
Bitcoin no be like paper moni wey we go fit carry waka dy do some kind things too. So I con reason am say, what if as we dy find way for Bitcoin to dy acceptable for the world, wait ma use our contri, what if we dy accept Bitcoin for everything we dy do and e con be normal thing like paper moni for this our contri Naija.
I con imagine say we con dy use Bitcoin pay NEPA BILL, HOUSE RENT, TRANSPORT BILL (to pay conductor self) like do many things and the one wey make me talk about this one nah, we as Naija people con dy use Bitcoin dey pay Bride Prize for this contri?

How una see this one, to go marry then use Bitcoin pay the woman papa...
1634  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nah lack of common sense or greed?? on: July 28, 2023, 06:26:51 AM
I no fit talk plenty things as e concern this mata wey you pull come here, as we see fire and fuel nah husband and wife, if you make the wife (fuel) vex the husband (fire) go come out. So when tanker fall I see no reason wey go make people rush to go die say nah fuel them dy rush go fetch, una see this mata so nah mumu dy cos am I think so.
No amount of sufa sufa go make person wey like em life to go put hand for wetin go kill am, e no beta you use your hand hang yourself instead of to dy go target tanker wey go fall?
Abeg this mata me I con dy think say nah juju (as sacrifice to clear dia political madness) becos e no ordinary at all. Wen them ask why this thing happen, person go open mouth say nah lack of job and bad government nai make people dy go fetch fuel, me I no see am as government as d cos, Holi ghost fire, no be me abeg... Something dy behind this madness.
1635  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: The country no de move forward on: July 28, 2023, 06:04:39 AM
Even if you like pray from now till tomorrow this government go make sure say them get all the things then lose for last election before them go rest, that's if them go gree rest oh. The only prayer I go advise make we pray nah to get long life and good health also make our hustle dy work wella, because as e be so this countri be like push and start wey nothing dy function well.
All the news wey we dy hear no nice at all and as e dy vex us nah so e dy favor the government their pockets so if you say wan mention election again I see am as one yeye idea wey no go work, so me I go say make we no tire for this countri but make we tire for the bad eggs wey dy inside.

1637  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 27, 2023, 05:58:39 AM
Nowadays, everything can be stored for a long time by freezing, but the root of everything is money.  Money is a big problem and it is not possible for everyone to store food for a long time and because of this sometimes when the price of food increases, the poor people sink into despair. People do not store their food for a long time due to which there is not much shortage of food in the country.  If everyone starts storing like this, food will rot and there will be food shortage in the country. So I personally don't like the food hoarding aspect

Quite alright but if you don't store food like those ones that won't get spoilt (that's if you have more of the type that can rotten in less than a day) how can the common man manage, knowing that the poor don't have what would preserve it.
Like you said "money is everything" if the poor man doesn't have money he can't store food because he can't buy. Is difficult to even say one can be able to store food and the stomach have this bad habit of itching someone when there seems to be less food. To me if there's money then storage of food won't be a problem but you can't tell how much food would be enough.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 27, 2023, 05:21:51 AM
The Super Falcons will go head to head against Australia in today's fixture and we're expecting to see a different ball game from the Falcons after getting a draw in their last game against Canada. In today's game the Australian team won't stand a chance against the Falcons, with the Australian team having injury issues, is going to be a huge disadvantage for them (Australia female team). No matter the odds which is against the Falcons with Australia as the favorite in winning this game, I feel the Super Falcons are getting all 3pts to be second on the log.
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 27, 2023, 04:44:40 AM
Chelsea are really having a great time in the pre-season tour, with their new signings they're just playing like a different Chelsea. To be frank with you guys the Blues are going to be better than last season that's if they could keep up with this recent form.
I wasn't expecting them to start glowing at this point in time but it seems Pochettino brought in something different, take a look at Jackson who came into the bridge, he has been absolutely brilliant when it comes to scoring and giving assist.

I just hope his (Jackson) form and that of the Blues won't drop come next season. I feel they should hand Jackson the jersey number 9 now that he's doing well. I don't see that number 9 curse or whatever working this time around.
Without Lukaku no problem for Chelsea, they have Jackson to give them what they seek.
1640  Other / Meta / Re: Charles-Tim merit source application + Nigerian LB merit source application on: July 27, 2023, 04:28:01 AM
No matter the board being assigned to you @Charles-Tim I feel you're equal to the task. You're suitable for the position of a merit source and you are one of those who make sure things move smoothly in our LB (Naija LB), you being consistent and active is something the big boss (THEYMOS) need to look into. With your experience in this forum and how long you have spent here are some of those reasons why I feel you should be given a chance.
I don't see you going off color when given the task of a merit source. With good reputation you have on this forum is something the big boss @Theymos need to look up to... @CT you're good to go on this.
For me I support this application and the request should be granted.
