So is XChat going to be a separate app from the wallet? Or do you mean like a seperate tab? I'd be well happy with orange/black xchat anyway I think it is a separate tab in the same app. The icon on the bottom of the screen pic furthest to the right looks like a chat icon. Yes, it's all one app at the moment. But differentiating is likely as we approach the official public launch. Maybe it would be good to make it a messenger app with payment option. So the messenger functions would be the main thing. Not saying that the wallet part should have less functuonallity. Just an idea +1. Chat is where it's at for user adoption. Will the chat app have emoticons and all the other toys the kids like? The (tentative) plan is to have a tightly integrated suite of apps. You'd switch between them in-app without even noticing. Alternatively we could just package essentially the same general-purpose app as XChat, Xpay/whatever, etc. - but with different branding. All this is pretty speculative, as I'm sure you can imagine.

the green could be a little brighter if thats possible branding wise. and the background 1-2% more grey than white but i would have to see it on an actual phone. I can't wait to have this on my phone . thats what i have been waiting for for weeks. That's something I've been thinking about a bit, given that XC's brand has the drawback of coming across as a bit boring and 50-something-ish. XC's brand has the benefit of being professional, serious, and not being associated with the darkweb. But a little more energy, a little more of an upbeat tone, etc. might help. Same goes for the press releases and marketing for XChat. It should be more upbeat than core tech-related releases. I'm guilty of the old man jokes. . You are absolutly right . energy is the perfects word. perhaps a brighter "lifelyer" green plus introducing an additional second complimenting color for some little accentuations. like a nice yellow works well with green. don't know . just suggestions. anyway the layout and overall approach is an absolute hit. Ha ha. Perhaps rather than "guilt", the term "credit" should be used. Nothing better than constructive criticism. :-) If we end up releasing several separate apps into mobile marketplaces, it would make sense to differentiate them brand-wise, since each app would appeal to a different user base and would have a distinct function. So, while they'd all need to share similarities in layout and font choice, different icons and different colours are obvious ways to differentiate them. would it be difficult to have a theme option in settings and have a few different colour schemes available? I really liked the old Orange and black colours on that pic thrash made a while back for example. edit: this - [snip] would be cool if there were the option to change to a few different schemes, these could also be shown on the advertising, making it look more upbeat while the standard colour would be the XC brand green. e.g - http://cdn.jailbreakmodo.com/wp-content/uploads/Accentify-iphone-5.jpgmaybe this is asking too much i dont know. just an idea. My bet is that it'll be best to use different colours for different apps. Maybe orange for XChat, green for payments... P.S. That wallpaper was made by a community member, who used Thrash's logo.

I don't like the font to be honest, it is too small.
I mean the letters are too slim.
Ultra-thin fonts are the trend these days. They're seen as elegant. Previously they weren't employed because lower screen resolutions make then look pixelated. The advent of retina screens and HD smartphones have changed all that, fortunately. :-) It looks crap on screens that aren't retina. Which means, my screen and a lot of other people to. Just consider changing it to another font or at least have an option to change it. What's your screen resolution? More relevantly, what's the resolution of your phone's screen? Regardless of how it looks on any given device, it's a good idea to stick to design trends when you're a new brand entering the market. We need to look current.

can we expect some news today? time to fight the general downtrend in crypto again and stand strong. teka you know what you promised for monday. What this? snip or this? snip So everyone, what's your feedback on these images? How would you feel having that on your smartphone? Overall I like it. To me something about the text feels too long or stretched. I think for the transaction incoming the arrow being XC green would be a nice touch and some red for outgoing. Interesting. One of the official branding fonts is Avenir, stretched lengthwise to 110% (i.e. made less vertical). I wonder whether doing this - and perhaps using lower case rather than all caps - would help.

Anyone tested it? did not have time during the weekend Let's test it now. Who else is up for this? We'd need at least one more person. Im up for it! Nice. Just started a group with you and Cryptico (though I'm not sure he's still around). Add me to the group chat! Added and messaged you. Let me know if you don't get it.

Hey there BitcoinWisdom - Is it possible to add bittrex for XCurrency? Volume is higher than mintpal which is your only source for XC stats.
+1 +1 that would be great Any word on whether you're adding XCurrency on Bittrex? Bump

the UI update Dan mentioned is the graphic stuff teka been working on right? can anyone clarify this. Also can someone explain to me what this html5 is ? is that important to have for the wallet ? will XC app be in html5? i wanna see some screenshots more than i wanted to se those lawrence leaks.
Yes it will be. HTML5 is just a way of doing web apps (or skins of other apps). It's not a big deal. No doubt Teka will leak a few more images as the date approaches.
