It scares me to see people saying that this is a "buying opportunity." I have seen that in many investments in the past and it only serves to pacify as the price continues to decline.
I followed vertcoin from $1.10 down to $.30 before selling & was happy I did when it hit $.04. It's all perspective. Those early to the party have no risk and aren't stuck (like you). They can afford to sell at a profit or get out at break even. I think that no-one here considers the price to be realistic at present. This, to me, suggests that there'll be a lot of resistance to the price dropping much further - and probably only in wild idiotic single dumps like just now.
Those who have already purchased at a higher price naturally think the price being lower than what they valued it at is too low. The problem is - those making the market decisions in a bear market are potential buyers (vs a bull in which sellers do). These people view things different than hodlers do. People who view XC as undervalued now probably ran out of buying ammunition back when they thought it was a fairly discounted. While the blocknet & supernet are interesting ideas from a theoretical standpoint crypto gets so little use that exchanging between coins to use a certain coins feature is almost unheard of. If I do druge deals, dipping in and out of any altcoin is going to cause massive massive slippage (like 20 - 50% of a $100K deal). So the anon feature is pretty much useless without volume. It's a bit like building an empty city. People using altcoins are not using them for their features - but speculating on their future. So to make it possible to use all altcoin features from a single integrated wallet for people who are all betting on their individual coins just doesn't process with me as something that will be a gamechanger. No, slippage will be no problem at all when the fees are micropayments. |

Also anyone who's looked at this forum over the past 5 days will have learned the value of the Blocknet already. Thing is this seems to happen every time before there is news.. The BlockNet is so far off in the future that I'm not sure everyone considers discussions about it "news". More importantly, the team should cover XCurrency's first feature that has been somewhat delivered, XChat. Report on the progress of XChat and set some realistic short term goals that the community can count on. Users have expressed these opinions here before. Perhaps they think you aren't listening so they are selling. Example... Idea or concept: In the future there will be flying cars and they will be AWESOME! We are going to build highways in the sky and everyone will want a flying car! Delivering news: Here is a flying car you can hold in your hand or a piece of that car which has already been manufactured. You can see it, touch it, and potentially use it on our test highway. We have taken an idea or concept and turned it into a reality. Proof of existence. Ursay I get what you're saying and I think you're right to an extent: people love real, completed things. XChat received much hype when we released it (without group chat) and it worked flawlessly. We'll do so again very soon when we release XC Mobile. |

No it's a different company. They specialise in UIs. The website was rushed because Thrash had to do an enormous amount of work for us before Rev 2 launched. It has not been updated because Thrash's company has been overloaded with other commitments. It not been ideal. Ok thank you. Who is this company? any links? Heh. I am more concerned about the UI and the mobile wallet release then the ITO for the blocknet, as for now. Can we expect to have news about this today also?
Few Questions:
- Is Teka the only one working on the UI. I mean getting the thing done not consultation work.
- Who is in charge on the Website redisign and if there is a a precise roadmap for it how it will look when it will be out.
- Can we Expect Rev 2.5 Fully working on release or will it be again a test release followed by others tested by the community. REV 3 needs to be out fully working no tests etc really user friendly downloads new website new UI etc.. Please confirm this.
- Will the mobile wallet release that we are expecting work with anon transaction and xchat on release? will it be working with group chat also?
- will mobile wallet be able to be set up as Xmixer?
- Will it be able to stake?

Teka is liaising with them. - The website redesign is Teka's thing, and should begin in a week or so... not sure of the date. - Rev 3 will be fully working. Everything before that can be expected to be a work in progress. However we want the mobile app to function pretty flawlessly when we release it for testing. UI optimisation will be the goal of the UI testing, not core tech functionality. - The mobile app will support private transactions, XChat, and staking.
