Here's my line of reasoning:

XC tech leads everyone else

The Blocknet enables everyone else to use XC's tech

Xnodes receive remuneration every time someone uses XC's tech

Usage goes up 1000% due to the Blocknet

Xnode owners benefit.

Boom.

@rdnkjdi

See what I'm talking about? The value is in quality, not the idea alone...

Yup, this is not similar in code to the Supernet. It's true P2P and vastly more versatile.

Now this looks promising, good chance for other coins coming into the fold here too!

*Rolls eyes*

This is the SuperNET re-invented.  Why do you guys re-invent everything?  Being #2 is not going to pay off ...

No it's not.

Any group testing the new wallet?

I'm up for it. Who's in?

what are the news of today? Is there any ETA?

I can confirm that the news is coming out today.

No ETA though. But brace yourselves. :-)

Cool bud, thank you again!  Can you point me to the instructions for setup though, I was not able to find them.

There aren't any. You can just download it, install it, and pay coins into it. :-)

Oh man, please excuse my ignorance but are you referring to downloading the latest wallet as I don't see anything to download.  Maybe I am just wrong, but I thought there was something more to do than just install the regular wallet to run a node.  If this is the case, I guess I am already running one since I already have a normal wallet.

Apologies, been really tough to stay in the loop!

Aha, my apologies. Download this one: http://downloads.xc-official.com/release/windows/archive/XCurrency-XMIXER-Installer_2.49_RC3_XMixer_Installer.exe

Hopefully last silly question:-)

Do I need to uninstall the regular wallet or can this run on a machine along with the regular wallet?

Good morning! You can keep both.

They're actually the same app, except that the Xmixer has some additional startup commands.

So if you click the Xmixer shortcut, it'll run the app as an Xmixer, and if you click the XCurrency shortcut, it'll run it as a regular app.

(Wallet management: since you don't have funds that you want to keep separate from the Xmixer, don't worry about creating a new wallet.dat. Just use coin control to make four 250XC payments to four addresses. And as always, back up your wallet.dat before installing the new software.)

Tomorrow's news...?

From the UTIL thread...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=797900.0

---

Where we currently stand:

We are pleased to announce that currency developer Dan Metcalf has decided to take part in the effort to make Utility

the most advanced platform for block chain 2.0 functionality as outlined in our introduction document. Three other

developers have offered their support and we are currently courting one other renowned developer. These developers

wish to stay anonymous while the project grows, but they have agreed to reveal themselves in the future.

Mr. Metcalf stated: "When I learned that Utility coin was created with a vision that seeks not only to be a currency

or to build on features of other coins, but rather be a launching pad for advanced blockchain features through

collaboration of multiple and potentially unlimited development teams, I was intrigued to learn more.  After

discussing the long term plans with the Utility team I decided to join the initiative.   We as cryptocurrency

developers must answer the call and to realize the potential of this platform.  I encourage other developers to join

in the effort as well and I look forward to working with the Utility team and other collaborators."

well, thanks for this  Wink

Just to be clear...this is NOT what I had considered posting regarding XC.  I am still pulling all of this information together and I may or may not post it depending on the circumstances.

Sure. Interesting.

I'm off to bed, but this sounds like something significant enough.

Feel free to PM me if you think it might be helpful for your information-gathering.

That's yesterday's news.

It's also not accurate. We clarified this matter here.

To repeat it:

[UtilityCoin]

Hi all

I can confirm that Dan specifically requested that nothing from Util be published without his prior review, but they went ahead regardless.

Dan is, however, interested in consulting with Util, specifically regarding their http-vpn tech.

Most importantly, the intention is for all collaboration to benefit XC.

In this case, our plans will benefit XC massively.

I can't release details just yet, but it's quite likely that we'll let the word out tomorrow or the next day.

It's a particularly major development.
