1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Was Your Gambling in 2017? on: February 03, 2018, 02:06:03 PM
I think my gambling in 2017 is good although I don't think about the winning, I enjoy playing gambling on the gambling site. I know about the risk on the gambling site and I know I cannot expect to be a winner in one or more games because, in gambling, it is about the luck that we should have so we can win the games. I think I could still play again in this year and I only want to have fun in the gambling games.

I am also involved in gambling for fun. To earn from it or to completely rely on it, you have to master it and it will require a lot of dedication. Moreover, initially you will have to invest a lot of money in learning if you are trying with real websites. Otherwise, it is a good idea to practice on demo sites first where no deposit is required.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: February 03, 2018, 02:04:01 PM
Those who claim to gamble for fun purpose only, it is easy to stop the game anytime they wish to. But just be honest, how many gamblers are actually able to do this. You can go around reading few threads in this section and you will come to know that even such people are unable to stop themselves at the right time.  Which means gambling is addictive in nature. I firmly believe where there is money there is always attraction.

It is estimated that about only 2-5% are addicted to the levels that needs immediate medical help. There are even medications for this and you can consult a doctor. These usually belong to the class of SSRIs but he may recommend an alternative class of drugs based on your current situation. Also, I think that parents should keep a watch on teenagers involved in gambling related activities.
1683  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 03, 2018, 01:57:03 PM
What if the campaign manager rejects you even if you have enough merits for the high pay tier?

This can be possible if he is not convinced with the quality of posts made by that member. That member can try on other signature campaigns.
1684  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system= Rubbish posts on: February 03, 2018, 01:12:36 PM
Merit system is introduced to nullified low quality posts in the forum. but something is going exactly opposite to this.
I am seeing more rubbish posts, as everyone is trying to make more and more posts which shows the insecurity among them.
As they all wants to show on the top of the discussion where they have a little opportunity of getting merit points.
Do merit system really make a difference in this forum?

I think you are right about the part that people are trying to post more so that they get noticed. This may not give them merit points ( if they are posting rubbish) but it is harming the forum for sure. Another reason in addition to this is that we still have the activity requirement. Suppose  a member gets the desired number of merit points for some posts, he will then add some shit posts to reach the activity required for next level.
1685  Other / Meta / Re: What do you mean by decay of merit points?? on: February 03, 2018, 12:20:25 PM
As entitled in the forum that if someone not give its merit points to the deserving posts, It ultimately decays from your profile in the future.
What is the reason behind this?

Just making it clear here  that this is not going to happen as per current rules. Here is what I see in my profile:

There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.

This means that decaying of merit points may be introduced in future if required.
1686  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 03, 2018, 11:47:28 AM
What about me. Do you think I am somewhat an established members posting over 200+ post with some really quality (in my opinion) posts...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2873398.20
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2870428.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2868408.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2858083.0

There are many more... I guess I can not because I am just a Jr. Member. https://prnt.sc/i9j68c

As an established member, you should also know where should you post content. This thread is not for applying to be a merit source. You need to open a new thread for this. Also, you need to quote posts of other members (not own as you did), which did not get enough merit points.
1687  Other / Meta / Re: Appreciate merit system being a Newbie on: February 03, 2018, 11:44:18 AM
I appreciate you making this post appreciating the merit system on this forum. But kindly refrain from creating new threads on topics already discussed here if you have nothing extra to add. You could have simply posted your opinion about the merit system on official thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
1688  Other / Meta / Re: How do you consider a post as a constructive post? on: February 03, 2018, 11:15:25 AM
What should be the content to consider it as a constructive post for it to have merit points? How do you know if it is a constructive post if there are hundreds or thousands of posts in this forum? Just wanna know your ideas about this  Wink

My opinion about constructive post:

1) To the point answer explaining the query in easy language.

2) Preference to someone who makes the reply earlier. If your reply is reply number 500 or so on a crowded thread, it will never get noticed.

3) Humor and good grammar always help.

1689  Other / Meta / Re: Do not be afraid looking merit on: February 03, 2018, 11:13:41 AM
Remember the mistake was the key to succes.

I think learning from mistakes is key to success.

Never be afraid to write useful. Althoug no one has given merit. The most important thing we try to keep making posting that is not depan.
So what do senior friends say?

You got one merit as shown in profile. You really need to work on grammar as it gives a good impression to the readers. Even if you make a constructive post, members will neglect it if you have not used correct grammar.
1690  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 11:08:07 AM
These are some of the reasons making me very frustrated about this merit system...
# I am a low ranked members when I find any post worth reading I feel to give some credit to that person. Now since I do not have any sMerits to give so I can not encourage that person even-though I want to.

You got 8 merit points as shown in profile. You should have got 4 sMerits for that. You will keep getting more as your quality posts are appreciated.

# I do post a lot coz I believe contributing to any community build up the community strong. But look at my account I don't have much appreciation from the  higher ranked people who has a lot of merits to help me. I am not blaming them not to give me. May be they are not seeing my post. Do you think most of them have all the day to look for good post to merit other?

Some of your quality posts may remain unnoticed. But, if you are a deserving person, you will get noticed sooner or later. There are some members giving away merit points for quality points. Quote your posts there for more exposure.
1691  Other / Meta / Re: DT Members joining sig campaigns your share me your though about this. on: February 03, 2018, 11:04:02 AM
Just imagine yourself at their place. Will you risk your higher rank account by participating in multiple campaigns at same time. It takes so much time and effort to reach those high levels that I will never risk it for signature campaigns.
1692  Other / Meta / Re: Don't you think that merit system is like avoiding new comer in Bitcointalk? on: February 03, 2018, 11:01:37 AM
You can say that I am a new member here. Though I became a Member with default 10 merit points given in merit system, I am doing good even after it was introduced. After, I started submitting posts here, I have got merit points everyday. Good thing is that I still get merit points for posts made a week before. And believe me I have no connections here, I am just learning more about the forum operates. You can also earn merit points provided you observe closely.
1693  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system vs KYC registration? on: February 02, 2018, 06:25:46 PM
If the main motive of this forum is to introduce quality in the forum then they have to ban multiple accounts rather than giving a merit system from one peer to another peer.
If these things can't happen, then they have to introduce a panel of experts who will give merit points to quality posts without any discrimination.

That panel of experts is called as "merit sources" as per the new system.
1694  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 02, 2018, 06:13:03 PM
As I see from posts Merits sell-buy or people simple begging  for that. Now I wonder will Merit will appear on exchangers and all those people who desire it so much will be able to buy it kinda oficcially?!  Cheesy

Don't you also see some of the members getting negative trust for trying to abuse the merit system. I think it makes finding alt accounts easier.
1695  Other / Meta / Re: A merit candidates thread on: February 02, 2018, 06:11:02 PM
Would it be wrong to open a thread were people could link messages that they think deserve merit and did not get any, including their own post or anyone´s??

I already made such  a list here where you can post if you have made some deserving posts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2832127.msg29032781#msg29032781

Apply in the threads mentioned there only if you have posted some good content here. Do not beg.
1696  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT traded ! on: February 02, 2018, 04:37:49 PM
Well lets trade Merit.

Anyone who Merit me I will Merit him/her back Smiley

You will get negative trust as soon as a senior member sees this. It is really sad to see a "Member" rank making such a post.
1697  Other / Meta / Re: Merit giveaway for Jr Members and newbies on: February 02, 2018, 03:51:25 PM

Cheers, Chiro

Checked some of your posts. You need to work harder. You made very less posts after Jan 24,2018.

This is actually a great opportunity for us and I admire that some high ranking users have already realized their role in the forum thus they're empowered to be the Quality Assurance of the community. I hope this won't sound like a burden my point is I simply appreciate what you did here.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2856936.msg29323576#msg29323576

You also need to improve.

All my post:

Gave you one for one of the posts.
1698  Other / Meta / Re: People might sell they're merit points. on: February 02, 2018, 03:11:51 PM
i saw you had merit too.where did u get it?

I checked his profile and merit stats. Here is the post he got merit point for:

There are many types of earning bitcoins. Usually many people earn on this forum and commonly by mining bitcoins. If you have a fund you can trade your bitcoin so that you will have a bigger profit. You can also invest your bitcoins but investing is reosky because it maybe a scam or not, you can ask a guide for those who already an investors.

I would not have given a merit for such a post. Also it is reply number 1181 on that post.

1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wake up! Don't sell your crypto. on: February 02, 2018, 02:32:09 PM
Okay so this is how it goes, while I was reviewing the price drop of any coins especially bitcoin i thought that I was inside  hell, it's on fire and while I was also thinking that valentines day is coming, I ask myself why too early?.

Now I want you to know that every amount of any crypto that you sell is hurting the market so why do we give slap to our asses and wait don't spend.  Since this is bitcoin talk Ill ask you once again do you support bitcoin?

I wanna burst! The red color is irritating me.
