1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 27, 2023, 07:45:24 PM
I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately? this past week I've experienced an increased encounter of gambling ads on videos I watch on youtube. it's not that it bothers me, I am just surprised because I don't remember getting this many gambling ads on youtube videos in the past, but this past week, I usually get a gambling ad from 2-3 out of 5 videos I watch(it's just an estimation because of how often I get the ads). I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.

Not just in YouTube alone mate because you can also see these kinds of ads across any known social media platform that is sponsored by a specific gambling platform. I can notice its surge as it's been frequently shown while I'm scrolling, and it has been advertised by almost all known influencers in my country which gave the platform more clients every single day because of the video that looks really too good to be true.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 27, 2023, 07:11:57 PM
^^ Not just fans, but even his former trainer Eddy Reynoso and even Canelo Alvarez had question Garcia's mentality in his boxing and trainer. But what he did? he separated himself against that great trainer in Reynoso and move to Goosen. Unfortunately, there is a fall out as well and for sure Ryan is putting the blame to Goosen for losing this fight.

However, if this trend is not going to stop though, James is a great trainer, he had trained a lot of elite boxers like Spence Jr. and turn him into what he is right now. But as we have said, it's the attitude and the hard work and perhaps that what lacking in Ryan Garcia and I do agree that he might not reach his full potential if he won't give his 100% on his training.

He cannot accept the fact that he have other boxer in the same training camp that is more prioritized than him. In the first place, Garcia have already done the unexpected being the selfish boxer who have wanted all attention directly to him but Reynoso brought to him the reality, which made Garcia leave the camp.

By now, he probably has some lessons to learn because everyone cannot be that special especially if we're still at the bottom. He should know how to humble himself in times like these as he is the one who has more needs, he will not be favored if he will always act like he owns everyone and everything, and doesn't want a trainer that have other boxers to train. Reynoso have already said Garcia's traits and in every camp he transfers into got the same words to tell, so the problem is really him.

Lot of people coming in on the Heat and I can see why but the high spread is a dead giveaway trap game from Vegas.  Its like they are enticing heat bets.  There's something more to this game but if I had to guess this is gonna be one of them Celtics blowout games.  I'm gonna tease the line all the way to 12.5 for the Celtics.

Good luck everyone Smiley)

Nailed it!  I was going to tease it higher but picked the right number.  This game should have been much more but cletics took out all theor players and Miami made it close.  Houser dropped a 30 foot 3 pointer to save my bet.  I would have been pissed if I lost I because Celtics took everyone out.

Either way I'm riding the Celtics.  This time just running with the money line for game 6.

That was a risky bet, but you know, sometimes when the other side looks too easy, that's when the bet can pay off. It was a great decision to bet on the Celtics. However, in Game 6, it's difficult to predict where the public bets will go. I will follow my instinct and believe that this time it will be the Heat who will come out victorious. Sorry, mate, I lean towards the opposite side. Grin

I skipped game 5 though, but in game 6 I will be going as well with the Heat just ML in the beginning. They are going to play at their homecourt and it might really help Jimmy Butler performance. I mean the fans are going to support him no matter what and just needed one game performance like he did against the Bucks and New York in crucial games.

Although I hope that Gabe Vincent can play in this game because his presence is needed in the defensive end.

There is a chance though that Gabe will play with the team, but it's not yet guaranteed as of now because the final tip-off revealed his status being questionable, so hopefully he can really play because his performance will be a great boost for the team's chance to finally sack the series and giving the Celtics an early rest towards the next season. I'm thinking that Jimmy Jordan will once again show his prowess as he is indeed dedicated to play in the Finals again.

Miami Heat +2.5 @ 2.05 vs Boston Celtics .. Goodluck!
1684  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 27, 2023, 06:04:53 PM

Miami Heat +2.5 @ 2.05 vs Boston Celtics

1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 24, 2023, 06:46:11 PM
^^ We are losing hope though, we haven't heard anything from either camp, and Spence has another long layoff and then Thurman just running his mouth but not saying if this fight is going to happen or not.

So it looks like this fight is going to be in the shelved for now. Maybe Spence is looking for another opponent or Thurman playing his cards and wanted to get a good pay check. Both are not getting any younger though.

Yes, the fight has been announced a long time ago but they still are so silent about the updates and the certainty of this fight.

Spence Jr. is having the time of his life without having some struggles because his belt cannot be strip off from him as the fight was made to happen at 154 and not 147. Besides, he doesn't even want to build a legacy on his name by continuing what he started as he only lack one more belt to become the undisputed champion but his fear is holding him off because the counter part is Terence Crawford which means that before he can unify all the belts, he will surely have some difficulties first or even have his first loss.

IMO, I already gave up about this mandatory fight because it doesn't really sound mandatory to me as the belt holder wasn't even taking things seriously.
1687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is "dying". on: May 24, 2023, 06:11:02 PM
The problem is that most of the people in crypto see Bitcoin as an asset like a stock to invest in and then sell later. No one even thinking about the future of Bitcoin as means of currency. Bitcoin was created NOT as an asset, we use it as one, it was created to solve a banking problem and create money of freedom that can't be faked and printed. And somehow people are literally forgotten about this whole point of Bitcoin.

I've read the opinions of several people in this thread. And I think the people who see the positives about Bitcoin from the good news are those who are not seeing the reality of what is happening in the cryptocurrency.

I have a question, how many people see Bitcoin as a medium of exchange and not as an investment asset that is bought at low prices and resold at high prices? I believe that almost everyone sees Bitcoin as an asset.

A lot of news about people who have regretted selling their Bitcoin at the price ten years ago when looking at the current price. Or news about someone who has bought BTC at $10k and managed to sell at $30k? Doesn't that sound like an asset rather than a currency?

Is BTC as a crypto currency currently shifting to become a crypto asset? I doubt that won't happen.

Everyone got their own opinion and people got their own perspective on how they view bitcoin, may it be as a currency or as an asset. The answer usually depends on how the people uses the cryptocurrency and not because of the reason why it was made. My main point is, as long as public or the people enjoyed using bitcoin, it's already a success as a cryptocurrency because it's been used and not just a regular asset or currency that people shows no interests.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: May 24, 2023, 03:09:35 PM
When we are going to make investments, of course, we are already aware of the risks we will receive, especially by entering a new project. Of course, the risk that we will accept is very large as a project scam. However, when we are making investments in a new project, the chance that we get a lot of profits is also very large, especially with every purchase of assets at the beginning of a new project. We can get a discount, which is usually linked very far when the project is listed in the market because of the very good product. So don't be afraid to start a new project.

In short: High risks; High reward

Some will agree with that especially the ones who doesn't have anything to lose because of the different investments they took that made them richer, so it having these certain investments is not really a big deal to them because if it turns out to be a scam then so be it but if it's a good project then congratulations, simple as that. But for most investors that doesn't have that much money to invest with huge risks, like me, we will always prefer to invest in known top working altcoins and mainly bitcoin as well because the risks are minimized while the profits that will be earned does have a much higher chances.
1689  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you should use spare money to invest on: May 24, 2023, 02:39:10 PM
Most people agree with OP's point and what OP said is absolutely true. But I really doubt that too many people will do that because we all have greed, and everyone wants to get rich quickly. I still believe many people are supporting the OP, but they are doing the opposite, they are still using their savings and emergency money to invest in bitcoin because they crave wealth. To be honest, to do that is not easy at all, it seems easy to say, but escaping the temptation of money is very difficult.

That's somehow normal in this world, after all, we are just humans who are bound to make mistakes. I'd say that let them make some mistakes in their life so that they will learn, it might be an expensive one though but it is what it is, there will no experience and lessons if there are no mistakes as we cannot just grow from reading alone and reflecting from other people's mistakes. It's still best if we are the ones who will experience it so that we know what's the feeling, and by that time, you will not want to be in the same situation again.
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: May 24, 2023, 02:12:56 PM

why should you risk that amount on meme coins,  it doesn't make sense to me.

It may not make much sense in the instant, but I have heard of the easy profits that can be accumulated, which is more than what BTC or ETH gains.
Investment in meme coins might just be a fraction of this #40,000 if I have to. I may intend to trade using meme coins but would have to divide the fund. I don't think I would like to trade with a BTC or ETH account besides using the DCA strategy of which I have in mind for some time now.
Will it make me a millionaire or billionaire, I doubt, because mouths gotta be fed and bills gotta be paid.

For continuity and leverage based on trust and all things crypto good, BTC is my first choice, ETH next. BNB or SOL depending on their recent market standing would have to just do for trading purposes only, so I don't lose track of my investments.

You heard? That is certainly not a good start because what you heard might not be true and worse is, they also heard it from another person and so on, so forth.

It seems to me that you already got a plan just like what you've said above. I just want to add one thing, it's better to study the coins first before investing on it because we definitely don't wanna put our hard earned funds through some hearsay, what we wanted are solid straight facts so that the risks are somehow minimized and not just based from what we heard.

Mamaya Celtics vs Heat na naman mga kabayan at ito ang prediction ko, sana makabawi ako sa game nato hehe.
Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat -3.5 @ 3.1

1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 22, 2023, 05:21:23 PM

I doubt the decision to be reversed.  Grin
Loma only looks like he dominated the fight because Haney is not staying in the center. He's maintaining the distance and just wants to throw jabs. When Loma comes he did a lot of clean body punches. Loma somehow found his range in the early rounds of the fight, high-level skills stealing the rounds. All I can say they deserve a 2nd fight.

Lomas punches are too fast and is hard to catch whether it connects or not.  If we watch the replay even the commentator did not see the body shot counter of Loma on the 1st round saying that Loma did not connect any body punches on that round when that punch was clearly seen in the slow-mo replay of the round.

As i watch the fight, I saw how huge Devin Haney is compared to Loma.  It is obvious that Devin Haney wanted to take advantage of his reach but was deciphered by Lomachenco in the middle round reason.  I believe even Devin Haney doesn't feel that he won the fight after the bell rang on the last round.  The reason why he is so happy when he heard his name announced as the winner.

Haney was just taking some chances that the judge's might favor him hence the big smile he showed after the announcer said the word "and still". While Loma cannot how frustrated he was and his camp, it's was too obvious that it wasn't the result they were expecting and they were not really happy of the outcome because if Loma did not won that fight, it should be a draw.

Anyway, right now, it's a good thing that they are appealing because what happened was really unfair to their side although I'm not expecting something positive because in these instances, it's already hard to retract the decision made. But hopefully justice will be served this time because Loma really did his best and in the end, he's just getting robbed.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 22, 2023, 04:46:50 PM
In the Lakers vs Nuggets Game 4, the Lakers are still the favorites to win, but the spread is now only -3, down from the previous -5.5 in Game 3.

The Nuggets have the opportunity to end the series tomorrow, but let's see if the Lakers can change the momentum and secure a win on their home court. Even if the Lakers win Game 4, they will face a tougher battle on the Nuggets' home court. If the Nuggets end the series in 5 games, they will be able to celebrate at home. So, what are your speculations for this game?

There is chance for the Heat to also get a sweep against Boston Celtics so, by all means possible I don't think the Denver Nuggets would want to deprive themselves of the extra rest or give the Miami Heat a few days extra days to catch their breath and get proper resting and conditioning.

I'm going to likely a have parlay on both games to end up as a sweep, regardless of what the media or bookies says.

I agree. Why would the Denver Nuggets give the Lakers a chance to win if they are already able to bag the series next game, although I think that they might let the Lakers do their thing so that they can finish the whole series in their home but again, they surely want some more rest before the Finals will commence because even if they seem to defeat the latter easily, the Lakers are actually not that easy to defeat as putting a consistent pressure towards Lebron and AD was never an easy task, let alone guarding the remaining roster.

As for the Eastern Conference, we might see the same thing because not to underestimate the Celtics, they surely do not show towards the Heat the reason why they are the #2. Sadly, that's their limit because if the Heat defeated the #1 then what's keeping them from defeating the #2, right? Well, both the Lakers and Celtics are on the verge of being swept now and I honestly did not expect to see these scenario in the Conference Finals.
1694  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 21, 2023, 07:17:17 PM

Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat -3.5 @ 3.1

1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: May 21, 2023, 06:11:49 PM
Well, it appears you've wholeheartedly embraced the saying, "Don't knock it till you've tried it" The exhilaration of the gamble - the bated breath as the dice tumble, the cards reveal their hand, or the roulette wheel whirls - is indeed a captivating spectacle. But is it a staircase to a vault of wealth? Now, that's the billion-dollar poser, isn't it?

Consider this perspective: Casinos, the opulent temples of indulgence and glitz, are among the globe's most extravagant monuments. Ever let your thoughts wander on how they bankroll this splendor? Surely, not from their emptied vaults!

Venturing into gambling, my comrade, is akin to attempting to drink an entire sea to douse your thirst - initially, it might feel like a winning stroke, but the tide's bound to turn, right? Conversely, a stable job or a venture might lack the adrenaline punch, but it's the consistent river, faithfully satiating your thirst day after day.

I think you're right. You can win for a very long time, but one day you may believe too much in your own strength and make one bad bet, and all that you have won by hard work will be lost. Sometimes a player is given to win on purpose so that he will bet everything he has one day in the excitement.

Yes, don't get reeled in because that is what a casino or gambling platform will do to you. I mean how will they get your full money if in the first place they will already make you taste the bitter defeat, right? They will make you believe at first that you're in a winning streak, it's like an illusion but in a different manner.

And when you start believing that you're already lucky, that is the time where they will commence a strike because at that point, you already lose the feeling of defeat because you are under the impression of being lucky.

Until such time that you will feel that you are already losing and most of the time, you will take another money from your pocket to try winning those money again when in-fact you are already turning in circles without realizing it.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 21, 2023, 05:34:02 PM
But it seems that Garcia has find a new trainer already, so no more Eddy Reynoso for him and it's Derrick James and I think we have discussed it several pages back.

It's now official though, I have seen pictures of Ryan together with Errol Spence Jr training together since James already manages Spence Jr. But as we have said as well, if Ryan is not discipline enough regardless of who the trainer he will get, it will still be the same result. Disciple + Hard Work + trainer is the recipe for someone to be a elite fighter.

Regardless of whoever will handle his training, if the kid is not trainable, then there's nothing that will happen.

Changing your trainer will not have any big impact on your growth unless you are willing to adjust and exceed from your set limits,
more on his self-will to adopt all the trainings.

It's really hard for someone who thinks they already have enough to follow an instruction, thinking that what they've got is complete
enough to win a fight. It's your allotment with more knowledge and skills to adopt from your team that matters.

I certainly agree. Even the greatest coach and trainer of all time will have the struggle to train a boxer who doesn't want to be trained because in Ryan Garcia's case, his ego is too big that he thinks that his heavy fast punch can settle everything. At first, I was rooting for this kid's success because he does have the talent needed that most boxers doesn't even have but when I learned that he's too self-centered and unwilling to train for his own improvement, I lost my faith towards him because how can I expect something from him if he himself is not helping himself to improve and be a champion someday. That's one big problem that Garcia didn't see at all.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Assess a Memecoin and Not Get Scammed ;) on: May 21, 2023, 04:10:50 PM
Thanks for sharing this information and I find it very helpful. There's a popular saying that once beaten twice shy. At some point some of us have been a victim of such tokens and sadly we have learnt the hard way. It is very important that we always do due diligence before commiting our funds into any project.
If newbies learned their lesson after suffering a single negative experience investing in meme coins or some other altcoins I would consider that to be a good thing and the money lost as the price needed to learn that lesson, unfortunately many newbies need to lose many times and waste all their capital before they learn this lesson, and this is sad as even if at that moment they finally have the common sense necessary to stay away from meme coins, it does not matter anymore as their capital has taken a brutal hit already anyway.

We cannot really avoid these things from happening because sometimes, it's not just the beginners or novice that keeps on making these mistakes of seeing meme coins as a profitable coin, even the regular ones or have been already in the crypto world for long now are still engaging in meme coins. The said fact is, it's not that they don't know the risks of these coins, it's just that they are willing to take those risks mentioned in the hopes of riding the wave when the whales started moving again.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: May 19, 2023, 07:34:33 PM
Yes, this is true, but there is a logical explanation for this - many residents of third world countries after entering the United States will "get lost" and stay there illegally. By the way, I don’t know how it is now, but earlier, for everyone entering the US legally, vaccination (from covid) was mandatory, and for illegal immigrants who crossed the border and demanded citizenship/asylum, there was no such requirement  Grin Thus, it was safer to enter the US illegally.

There are many people who think letting America host the 2026 world cup was a wrong decision and that they will have problems visiting this country to watch the World Cup games but I disagree and I think since America got the experience of hosting other great tournaments, they won't disappoint us and we are going to see a better world cup than what we saw in Qatar.

I am 100% sure that in terms of organization in the US everything will be at the top level. In terms of the quality of the competitions held (probably in all sports), this is the country No. 1 and, of course, they will also hold the World Cup at the highest level. But the problem with a visa is a problem of a different order, and there will definitely be dissatisfied people who, for one reason or another, will not be able to get it.

Hopefully, the FIFA council can find some ways to resolve this kind of problem because World Cup being a business, they sure want as many people as possible to see and watch the event because that will also mean that there's a lot of money that will flow to their pockets. Although I doubt that they can really fix it as this problem already falls down to the US and Canada's jurisdiction because safety and security must be ensured first.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 19, 2023, 06:53:54 PM
Now that the series is headed back to Los Angeles, the major thing the Denver Nuggets needs to avoid is allowing the Lakers get to the free throw with relative ease, Lakers have more free throw attempt in the first two but the differences weren't so significant, but it's likely going to be a whole new different affair in LA, the Nuggets must ensure they attack the rim and get the at least the around the same number of free throws unlike the Warriors taking bad shots and sending the Lakers to line at almost every possession.

We might some adjustment on Lakers this time. I think they are just experimenting on players that can guard properly Jokic which Lakers is already successful since Jokic score is consistently decreasing despite he still have a lot of reb and ast.

If only Murray didn’t explode. I think Lakers almost got that game 2.

Which takes us to the part where the Lakers might have already figured out a way how to stop the opposing roster because they have improved from their performance from Game 1. If it wasn't because of Murray, we might have had a different outcome where the Lakers have tied the series while going back to their home at Los Angeles. It seems to me that they already found a way for Jokic and now they are prepping to chase down Murray so that he cannot have an easy shot especially beyond the arc.

Finally got home after a long week of traveling for work and tuned in to the game a bit ago (which I bet earlier) and enjoying seeing the Lakers being ahead, if even just a little bit.  Hopefully they are able to keep the lead, I just don't think Denver is as entertaining to watch as the Lakers on, and I'm on the Lebron train this year.

Has Ja pulled out any guns in the last 2 days?...been on the road and kinda out of the loop Smiley

Well, I'm also boarding the same train this year which is the Lakers train that got Lebron in it. Sadly, after having a good run in 3 whole quarters, they just lost the lead when the 4th quarter began, Murray stepped up while the Lakers was just having too much from downtown that they cannot entertain everybody anymore.

Quote

Yes, he did it again. It's like the kid never learned his lesson because he was really feeling gangsta even though he is literally not. Now, Nike is rejecting him and his signature shoes and most likely Powerade will also join the parade by pulling out their stock that got Ja's name on it.
