1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON as a national currency. on: May 02, 2023, 06:59:18 PM

We in our country didn't have any laws created for us to accept and use BTC, I think it also applies to Matic if this is really what the people wants to do.

So its not for the government to decide which token but they will likely want stablecoin than using a centralised crypto.  Matic seem not really fit for it. It only make the country financially vulnerable.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 02, 2023, 06:36:13 PM

Playing luck games is always convenient, you don't even need to think about what to do but keep the strategy you are doing either on dice or slot.

This time you can't just believe a casino is decentralised. They claimed to be but users need to register using email which definitely doesn't fit the narrative.

But when users need to connect their wallets such as metamask, users are also very cautious about such casino for possible exploits.
1683  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Opening an Account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook is the Future of Sports Betting on: May 02, 2023, 04:57:03 PM
Recycled topic and the OP has no intention to engage.
You can ignore this user and the platform he is promoting - which is what I'm gonna do after this.

Sounds right. This is the kind of post intended for search engine bots to find which anyone searching for "Bitcoin Sportsbook" may find this thread.  Account is active though.  Nitro AFAIK is one of the old bookies here.

You won't need to convince anyone to register an account on Crypto bookies especially if you post it in this forum. The question is if the Sportsbook can be trusted.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbing bitcoins from a bitcoiner on: May 02, 2023, 04:46:40 PM

The safest thing to do is prevent anyone knows you have some BTC. Stop posting on facebook about how much BTC you have or even just reposting crypto news in your feed.

Any robber who sees it, will believe you have some BTC. Trying to get you private key by holding you or your wife or kid at gunpoint is frightening. You will give up your BTC saving to save life.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What makes Binance stay strong despite all FUD ? on: May 02, 2023, 02:16:35 AM
^ CZ is already skeptical to what Us regulators and doing whether they are really up to make a definite regulations on crypto and Binance seem to be political tool already. Even if US senate call for CZ , he will not appear to a hearing. Thats why he is in hiding.

Binance is close to too big to fail company and as long as CZ can dodge authorities, he will hide and Binance continues to gain trust.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: May 02, 2023, 02:05:22 AM

MMA youtube channel, there are plenty of them that provides not just analysis of the fights but also news about what is going with Dana's brain. Fighters usually are being called to be interviewed on what is their opinion especially to Bisping's channel or Chael Sonnen.

There are actually many MMA forums around where bettors are also very active. Like how we're discussing here about crypto, they are quit accurate to their predictions.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 02, 2023, 01:51:56 AM

Agree with this sentiment. It seem to be the case with such correction that we have to see the bottom first which could be the 25k. The possibility that it could dip below 25k is high as well for it mat retest that support on 20k in the daily chart.

That could be price to buy. DCAing on 25k and them floor on 20k.
1688  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase vs SEC on: May 01, 2023, 06:32:36 PM

Coinbase can not expect to follow regulations, there weren't even a real regulations to follow. Even Grayscale see it coming which they also need to file a lawsuit since SEC is not approving that BTC spot for them.

No one stands up against the regulators then all these blockchain companies will just keep inline bullied forever.
1689  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can we trust 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 01, 2023, 05:58:06 PM
We are seeing more and more 3rd party Slot providers being dropped by casinos over some sort of irregularities.. Stake.com removed all YGGDRASIL games and I also think iSoftbet games from their platform. So when Eddie (co-owner) was asked about this, he just commented that there were some irregularities.. so they removed it.

Try to Google anything about that and you will not find anything, because the industry keep their secrets. My question is.... can we trust these 3rd party Slot providers? Who are auditing their games and who are checking if the advertised RTP are being configured on their servers?

Let's discuss....  Huh
Well, In my honest opinion, since we possibly do not have some personal ways of contacting the owners of the third party slot games, or even join and engage with their community, trusting them is not ours to do, but the casinos that list their games for we the users of the casino to play.

Trusting the providers of slot games is more a duty for the casinos, than it is for we the users, it is the casinos job to make sure the games listed on their platform are from trusted developers, simply because, if anything goes wrong, maybe like a player lost money unjustly, it is the casino will be held responsible even if the lost money is the game provider's fault, the casino will still have to see that the issue is resolved amicably for the sake of their reputation.

I remember there were accusations to casinos which casinos are trying to ask the 3rd party game provider to look at how users are trying to find ways to win. Casinos suspects there are sort of glitches that took advantage of.

Since Stake remove them, I guess Stake find them unreliable or doesn't trust them too.

1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: May 01, 2023, 05:34:41 PM
Quite a lot have happened in the crypto investment market with the long run of a bear market in 2022, as a result of the various market crisis ranging from ftx bankruptcy and Luna crash that affect the market for a long time, before the present recovery, many crypto analysts such as myself are confused as for what the level of confidence of investors towards altcoins in this period. Do you consider any altcoin to be pf future profiting, if yes then what is the percentage calculation of your confidence level in that coin and why should we hold them for a long-term basis?
Depends on what altcoin you are referring to. There are altcoins which are having good market price behavior in a long run; ethereum, bnb, and xrp to name a few. But ofcourse since we are talking about altcoins, this includes small and newly released projects which are often good only in short term investment. Big names are the ones which are reliable for long term holding because of these coins', development suuch as with bnb wherein their continuous release of launch pads are giving sustainance to its name.  Huge names in this industry have grown huge community of users generating demand for a  long run which gives strong resistance even with bearish market behaviors.

One that Is noticeable recently was the Cronos (crypto.com) which they were trying to change their roadmap that includes burning tokens.

After it, the price went up. Whenever few altcoin team are updating roadmaps they are also preparing for the next bullrun. It could be that in few months, the altcoin season may also begin.

1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 01, 2023, 02:54:13 PM
In such stories, I am always amazed how blind relatives are. They knew that kidnapper for ages, they new his behaviour, thoughts (it is not hard to predict elder peoples intentions and moves, as with age, they turn to more and more to children like), they probably knew his addiction to gambling. I mean they could have foreseen that grandpa is intend to do something weird. I see one major problem here - why Yuan family did not do anything with his gambling addiction?
Yes, the role of the family also plays an important role in cases like this, they cannot remain silent when they see the strange behavior of one of their families. And if they see something strange and they continue to let it go, then I think the family also had a hand in the "crimes" committed by the family itself. A good approach from the family, in my opinion, can make them realize that what their family members are doing is wrong and this is where we really have to be sensitive to the environment around us, don't let us ignore something that is taken for granted, because that will be disastrous later.

To the family, its gonna be harder to forgive the old man kidnapping his own blood to satisfy his addiction. The man disregards everyone in the family but himself.

Asians have different culture which they have a strong family bond and they respect the elders. But this is too much. This might not be his first offense so there could be petty crime he did in the past too which his family had ignored.

1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You shouldn't be worried about bitcoin on: April 30, 2023, 11:16:35 PM

Computers are not to worry nowadays because we have seen it all already, were probably the generations that have been seeing one big phone carried like a suitcase but now they just fit in our hands but still function like computers.

With BTC, there is also nothing to worry since its technology is solid. Its the government that is to worry because somehow if they are creating CBDC, then they will be making it difficult for BTC holders.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 30, 2023, 11:02:01 PM

Not very exciting fights though. Agree with YuginKadoya about flop sided,  one would think they were fixed just like the next fight of Canelo. Obviously Ryder is unknown one, it can just be a tuneup and Oscar wants to make money.

Oscar didn't ditch Canelo though unlike what he did to Ryan after the loss. Just what I have read on news sites.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PEPA TOKEN LAUNCH and AIRDROP; new MEMECOIN on BSC on: April 30, 2023, 10:52:00 PM
This because you don't understand the irreverent and ironic spirit of the meme project.

you are not a fan of PEPA .. simple  Kiss  Kiss  Kiss

P.S. make MEME not WAR.  Roll Eyes

The usecase is where the memecoin is going to be useless in the investors eyes. Its fun but nothing else.

This time though there could be people investing on it because of popularity of PEPE but once the bears will be swarming again, this kind of meme will be forgotten.
But clearly this PEPA ride the popularity of PEPE, no originality.
1695  Economy / Economics / Re: food supply Blockchain technology. on: April 30, 2023, 10:44:23 PM

What can be done with that nChain blockchain is that no 3rd party scam/fraud can harm the end consumer but what can protect consumers from the company itself?

Are producers really truthful to what they are saying about the products ingredients and all when it comes to adding the data in the blockchain. Because these can be altered by the food producers.
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: April 30, 2023, 10:28:24 PM

A lot of tokens including the defi weren't dead though. They will still survive until there is a regulation clear enough to proceed and that more investors will come.

I'm confident the altcoins will also rise when BTC also is in bull run as thats how this works. And while halving is getting close many investors must be rooting to altcoins they see potentials.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Hash games entertainment on: April 30, 2023, 10:19:13 PM
It is indeed shiny. The logo looks great but seem very familiar.  Welcome to bitcointalk.

Based on Whois there's a possibility that this is a China-based Casino server is from China it was created only last month I don't like the interface and they also ask you to download wallets that they allowed on their platform with a link on their page

https://okb99.vip/#/pages/help/walletRegist

When it comes to wallet I prefer to download it not coming from a third party, especially to a new site there's a big risk in doing this.

When you click one wallet that the site recommends, it will take you to the google playstore to download it. But why is this t recommending a wallet when users need to register?

Like they said you wanna build trust here.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 29, 2023, 09:11:41 PM
These news are the reason that make people tend to think gambling is bad when gambling itself actually good if you know what you're doing. Kidnapping to get money isn't only happen for gambling addict, but drug addict, alcohol addict, had a huge debt, want to have luxury lifestyle, personal problem etc.

This kind news is same like someone deposit Bitcoin in ponzi scheme project and then he blame Bitcoin because he can't withdraw it from ponzi scheme project.
If you can use gambling as entertainment and get pleasure and not become addicted to gambling, you are using gambling properly. But sadly, many people have become addicted to gambling because they get out of control after playing several games for a while. This is also what makes the number of people addicted to gambling increase because they do not have good self-control while gambling.

And people addicted to gambling can do bad things to anyone, including their own family because of the urge to get money quickly. And they will do anything to have money and continue playing gambling. This is not the same as a Ponzi scheme project which will eventually blame Bitcoin because it is about how people can control themselves when they gamble.
This is the reason why people should never be encouraged to enter gambling especially if they have issues in controlling their urge and emotions, otherwise they will gamble to the extent of harming others. Though gambling is not bad for those who can manage their gambling losses and just leave the house easily, but for those who sees gambling as a consistent source of profits, once they lose huge amount, they will find it hard to recover their emotions that may lead them to do things that are obviously not right.
But we know that these things cant really be that be known out once you do tend to experience up this field and this is why self control and discipline would really be your main key on here. If you do make out some
try out just for the sake of curiosity then you could really do such thing and find out for yourself if you are really that a type of person who do have that kind of emotional problem. If you do find out that you do have one then better quit for the good or stop on what you are doing. If you are really that able to control yourself and able to stop mid way of your gambling session then it is really just that fine for you to get involved into it.

We know that there are people who arent really that emotionally and mentally stable when it comes on dealing up with things which is correlated or connected on spending up some funds or money.
We dont really like on losing up money which it would really be just that a normal approach that we do have those kind of reactions on which it is something usual but there are ones
who do come into a certain extent which it isnt really that good anymore.

Speaking about addiction then this is where problem do start, on which on the time that you are already seeing yourself into the verge of addiction then you would be doing things that you
havent done for the rest of your life on whether you would be selling out some things or possession or committing already some crimes or non right things that a normal
person would do. If you cant be having that control then you are really that in big trouble.

It must be in their personality. Some people gamble almost with friends who also gambles but they were not addicted. A cousin of mine with carefree personality somehow a free spirited one but has the reckless personality as tackless as she could be, got addicted to drugs. She found God after several rehab, found job and then got into gambling.

Not really suicidal but committed bank robbery on her own like this guy who kidnapped his own granddaughter.

1699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should wait before owning my bitcoin on: April 29, 2023, 08:37:31 PM

I can understand waiting because of uncertain regulations for now but in terms of profit to be made, I wouldn't wait before prices tanks. BTC won't wait for me.

You can do the DCA while we don't know when this correction stops but we are certain that the price of BTC is about to go up because of the charts.
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many bills killing crypto on: April 29, 2023, 08:21:35 PM

Interesting to know how they will be able to do it that only the centralized wallet will be able to make trasanctions. There will be less freedom on that. The law makers are just listening to one side in creatiing such law.

But what can make them force users to use decentralized wallets?
