@Febo. Who is the developer? I reckon open source developers of any coin are free to contribute on other coins. It might not mean that the developer has left the project.

He did. Ignotus Peverell that started Grin has stepped away from the project like half a year ago. Same as Bitcoin and Monero original devs left. It is like a curse.
Yes, the beauty of open source projects is that no one is irreplaceable. Decentralized development with no point of failure.

No trading volume is  same as dead coin

That is not true. For real cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin or Monero, they are live when there are at least two people using it ( sending transactions) and there is at least one guy mining it. That si it. It dont need to have any specific USD value to work.  For tokens is differently. They rely on some other asset platform, so dont need any miners. Bit most of tokens are or securities or utility tokens. OK a lot are basically nothing and are totally useless. they are dead. But these utility and security tokens are linked to one project, that at least for securities have little to do with blockchain. And these are dead when that project is dead. Usually it die when they run out of ICO money and since they are some fancy rich bitches, no one of them would work for free liek Bitcoin or Monero developers work.

Using of Blockchain in Election

You definitely need blockchain where transactions cant be linked like Monero blockchain for votings. We dont want to see that everyone knows who you or anyone else voted for.
1724  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: February 24, 2020, 04:11:47 PM
Some countries are well prepared for bio weapon attacks, but many (poor) countries won't stand a chance, unfortunately from there you get new vectors of infection.

If you look at number of dead, Iran is on second spot. That tells us there is way more infected that no one knows about. I agree with you. To be seriously worried for Europe is super sill. Well there will for sure be a economic damage and most likely recesion. But number of dead will be low. Most important is to prevent that virus gets to already sick for some other disease and old.
1725  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: February 23, 2020, 11:13:25 PM
It seems right now s China, South Korea, Italy and Iran. Where virus is in the wild spreading as it pleases it. This sounds like worse can be in Iran. But it can basically now go anywhere. I become very pessimistic again this weekend. It looked good when China infected numbers started to decline. Now looks very bad.
1726  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LOW CIRCULATION COMPARE TO TOTAL SUPPLY. on: February 23, 2020, 10:47:51 PM
Cryptocurrencies is all about adoption. what are the reasons behind altcoin projects holding BACK a large quantity of their tokens with little in circulation. Example.
Litecoin has a maximum supply of 84 million and 64 million is in circulation.  i think it okay and suitable
Tezos has a maximum supply of 694,191,974 and about 260,000,000 is in circulation. too poor if i will say.
Chainlink has one billions and only 350 millions in circulation. over 700,000,000 are stock up.

i know the theory of demand and supply. i also understand the burning process to reduce quantity in order to increase price.

Why then do projects have a large portion of their token locked up with little number in circulation. How then do we bring in people into the system.
Why not conduct activities to get more people and also pay more instead of burning to reducing the quantity. it will not achieve any meaning.

You should not even compare Litecoin and Tezos.  Me neither since I am not relay sure what Tezos is. But problem is that coinmarketcap picked all coins that have little in common and placed them on same table. Then people compare them among themself and is totally pointless. Coins that are more decentralized, will be slower. Coins that were created in ICO or are created in PoS, their real marketcap is way less as it shows. Coins that are a blockchain fork of other PoW coins also have fake marketcap since there are tons of coins calculated in their marketcap that was and will never be claimed. It is just a lot of plums and oranges wanting to be apples there.

It will blast in days... don't forget to buy MCO MCO

How many users they have? If their card is out for 2-3 years I imagine a lot.

4) The issue with hitbtc seems resolved and trading should recommence. Apparently after investigation they could verify hive is not dead (or a scam, hell this might the only token on the exchange that had to do a real form of auditing and past the test)

HitBTC just showed what a shitshow exchange they are. Hopefully Hive will get listed on other exchanges. Also hopefully someone will inform coinmarketcap to add HitBTC to Hive exchanges again.
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple partnership with bkash? Is it legal? on: February 23, 2020, 07:38:27 PM
Ripple partnership with bkash? Is it legal?

When you ask about if is legal or not, it all depends of country's laws. Big part of even no one that don't live in that country can tell you. You should try to find people that live there. Or even people there that know their law system to let you know. Also don't relay on old data. Since crypto laws change almost every year.

Why don't you guys talk about an ordinary flu? It kills more than half a million people every year. Instead of that you like to talk about the corona virus? Why?

It is because coronavirus is much harder to stop. Because of so long incubation phase in which it is able to spread. I even heard 27 days.  Of course getting a coronavirus is not the end of the world and you have if healthy now a tiny chance to die. But no government will intentionally and open risk any live. They will quarantine and close borders, transit and all economy that is needed.  This is the reason why is so much talk about it. Here and everywhere.

How to stop the world recession that is soon coming.

Recession will not get stopped, but it will get mitigated by printing more money. I am more curious what will happen with next recession around 10 years from now, when there will be so much debt already.

How do you rate Paycent app and Paycent crypto debit card?

Good crypto credit/debit card is the one that exist longer time. In last 5 years I saw many starting and then cancel operations. I had several such.  Few days I heard of https://www.bitsacard.com/en/  I wil give them soem time to prove they will "exist" . Then order one.
1733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't surge past 11k, your thoughts... on: February 22, 2020, 06:43:04 PM
They were right. Nine days latter and we still had not passed $11000. Growth was to strong for to long. It was two full moths. Bitcoin need a pause. I am sure before halving there will be another push up. Over $11000.
1734  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona Virus is a Fake Flag to destroy China! on: February 22, 2020, 06:07:44 PM
Corona Virus is a Fake Flag to destroy China!
How many die from common flu a year in U good old U.S A? =
The CDC estimates that as many as 56,000 people die from the flu or flu-like illness each year...
How many people in usa? = 327.2 million
Ok.... thats simple... now this....
How many common flu related deaths in china a year? = Just try to google this statistic now now??? its crazyyy..
how many people in china? = 1.386 billion

Economy is global. You cant shoot one economy down anymore.  Corona is a a bit more deadly flue that can spread way faster. That is all. My speculation at the end is that around 6% of infected will die. So yes not the end of the world. But No country will risk one single life over economy. All countries that will fell endangers will close borders. Many did with china. Now that virus spread in more countries countries will close borders and trade to Iran, South Korea, Italy, ...  Economy will for sure suffer. Some economy will boost. Internet entertainment. People will be bored at home now. So internet games and casinos and whatever will flourish. Tourism and travels will almost cheese to exist. The rest of economy will be somewhere in between.  If by any chance we manage to miss the recession I will be super surprised.

I'm a new Monero believer. Recently done my research, and discovered that Monero is the  best Money

I'm glad you took almost 8 months before deciding to commit. you sir have done well on the DYOR train. I studied this project for almost a year before deciding to buy in. But then again because I did my research I was able to figure out that there was something severely suspicious with the amount of coins being dumped and the fact I could not mine much. that of course was the event we now call the cripple miner, which was inherited from the bytecoin scam crew.

Now you have 1 activity, 1 post and 1 merit in 8 months.
Although I would be very surprised if you are not a alt account.

Not an alt account, I'm a living breathing flesh and blood man. So yeah, I was chasing alt coins forever, but most of those are traps. The fear porn articles about Monero are going to cause a lot of people to miss out on real money

It is not just articles. Some people truly believe in to it. I keep reading posts on Monero subredit asking if running Monero node is legal. They see that a big part of taxes that are collected will be much harder to collect when everyone use Monero and dont have imagination that Governments can simply change the way to collect taxes.  Much bigger threat to governments is permissionless decentralized money that they cant control. The anonymity part is way way way less of a threat.

January 11th, 2027 | The CryptoPost Times

After achieving new ATH close to $2M on December last year, BTC is now crashing in search of support, due to on going revelations that Satoshi Nakamoto has finally come forward.
Very little is known at this time, but there is speculation that he has actively been coding for the Grin development team.

And Grin founder left Grin to develop Bitcoin in mid 2019?
1738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anyone tried leveraging hodl positions with bank loans? on: February 21, 2020, 05:03:46 PM
I recently came across this idea as it looks like sites like bybit and bitmex charge about $18 a day in "interest" on leveraged positions and if you're able to check the charts every 8 hours or so then could it make more sense to take out a loan in order to leverage your position higher. If you split funds between bitcoin and traditional investments (such as stocks) or made it so your term was long enough to onlly be ~$50-$100 a month, would it be reasonable to use that raather than leverage trading platforms or does it remove the isolation factor too much and mean you might risk more than you could afford to lose?

Why would you take loan to buy crypoto. It can be worth zero tomorrow because of some fatal flaw. It can be worth zero because someone steals it from you. It can be worth zero tomorrow because.   Why being so greedy to risk your future? Bitcoin was in last 10 years probably best investment that ever existed on Earth. It does not seems that gains will slow down drastically. You just buy some Bitcoin whenever you can and take it easy when goes x10 x100 or x1000.

We already have a 1/3rd scale prototype for the open ocean. We are following flagging laws in Panama before putting that prototype in the open sea. We already tested a 1/3 scale prototype for the shallow water version. It's sitting in the marina right now.

Are there any pictures of this 1/3rd scale prototype or a video?  I imagine this is just a shell of a seapod or I totally misunderstood you what this prototype is?
