1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: You can lose transfering and withdrawing on: January 25, 2021, 08:36:17 AM
Exchanges are also killin ETH by hiking the fees. They want to make times two of what miners make. They add miners fees to traders who are withdrawing. When you send from your wallet to exchanges the fees is not that much. Take a close look at withdrawal fees and you will understand what am saying here.
If you look at the withdrawal charges in all the exchanges they charge much higher charges in every coin, the only difference is that some of the exchanges gives a much lower fees for their native coin, especially Binance withdrawal for BNB is much lower but the rest of the coins if you are trading for small amounts then you are not going to get the profit you are looking for.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 25, 2021, 07:12:39 AM
Not sure what is happening to Sri Lanka, in the last match they performed really poor in the first innings and they somehow tried to bat longer in the second innings and in this Test they performed well in the first innings but in the second innings they are playing as if they are bored to stay in the crease as they are struggling with just 67 for 6 and it will be just a replica of the last match. The spinners are getting purchase from the wicket and if Sri Lanka could put a decent total from this situation they can make this match competitive.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 24, 2021, 11:44:54 PM
As for Bill Morgan, he first had a heart attack because of a car crash, and then won the lottery.
So it's actually not that easy to find cases where the heart attack was indeed triggered by winning the lottery.
It is easy to create a narrative that a person died after winning the lottery as a recurring theme which is highly unlikely. Maybe a small percentage may have died but to create a narrative that people die off heart attack because of the shock factor when they hit big jackpot is over the top  Cheesy.
It is possible you could die if you have a massive shock and if you already have a failing heart but failed to identify and that could cause an attack or a stroke.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: January 24, 2021, 11:22:16 PM
Don`t you think that miner will be a central banker, for they had the most fiat before hand to buy the most miners?
So a central banker still wins.
If you still did not understand the bitcoin market, the principle theory bitcoin is following is capitalism, people having more contribute to the system and thereby winning more money and that is the case with mining, people who have the capital to invest do that and for that you need more money and people with more money to spend can make more money than anyone else. Wink

A deduction of 60% is a robbery and it is fair to keep the entire winnings, the only places i know that will allow you to keep all the winnings are places like UAE where the government allows you to keep all your winnings as there are government jackpots as well but the ticket charges are really high but if you are lucky you could keep all the amount you won.
Even when you take these lottery you are aware of the huge taxes levied upon them and hence it should not be a big surprise, usually the government allows these kind of jackpot is because they get a fair share of amount if anyone wins and i have not heard about tax free jackpots, government jackpots is great if you can keep all the winnings but who is traveling to those places just to win the jackpot Cheesy.
1726  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian currency big problems on: January 24, 2021, 05:41:13 PM
Russia’s economy has always been dependent on the price of crude oil and natural gas, as commodities account for a significant portion of the economy. In 2013, exports of crude oil and related products accounted for more than two-thirds of the country’s total exports and more than half of the government’s total revenue, meaning that lower prices could have a huge impact on the economy.
It is a fact that the Russian economy was too much dependent on the crude oil price but with the price falling and the restriction imposed upon them i am sure they will find it difficult to overcome the crisis, i am not aware of the problems they are facing or how their economy is right now but i cannot understand what OP is referring with China boosting their economy.
1727  Economy / Speculation / Re: $27000 or $35000? Which will Bitcoin head to at the end of Jan.? on: January 24, 2021, 03:54:58 PM
Or Chinese people will buy bitcoin because its quite cheap at the moment, but I'm trying to drive at is that these holidays or festivities has nothing to do with the growth of the price of the decline, I don't think there is any correlation at all.
If you look at the past charts you will understand that the price usually goes down during holiday season where people used to book their profit to spend time with their family or go for a happy vacation and hence it would reflect that in the valuation and for all these years the price of bitcoin went down but this year that was not the case as the investors right now is ruled by big fund houses and not the casual investors we used to have in the market.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: January 24, 2021, 01:55:02 PM
First of all, Bitcoin is not a tool for wealth redistribution. The idea forms the core of socialist ideology, and Bitcoin has nothing to do with Socialism. Poor people may benefit to a certain degree, as Bitcoin works to reduce the exploitation by the central banks.
There is a misconception for many that bitcoin is a tool of wealth redistribution, with any new technology and if you are able to adopt it then you will make a good profit and that is not in bitcoin alone but it can be said about any investment.

When the central banks print money out of thin air and thereby get inflation out of control, the poor are the worst hit. Bitcoin works against that. But at the same time, the poor will be having less opportunity to invest in Bitcoin. You need a sizable capital for Bitcoin investment, and I don't expect a lot may of the poor people to afford that.
If a government is printing money and if the country is affected by inflation then you could save yourself if you already invested in bitcoin rather than investing in banks.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 24, 2021, 11:05:28 AM
Agreed, it appears some power in Conor’s punches are not there. Is it the whiskey hehehe. I reckon the Pacman fight might also not be in any chance of being organized after the loss. There is no more hype.
It is the most humbling loss in the career of Conor McGregor, he can fully concentrate on his whiskey business as he got knocked out and how can he call out a boxer when he just got knocked out in MMA.

A really great card and great fights,  Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier just smoked their opponents and i was disappointed with the performance of Amanda Ribas.
1730  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: January 23, 2021, 10:17:57 PM
It is true that the pharmaceutical companies were racing against each other and many have come out with the product but i will pass being their experiment rat. Until there is a 100% certainty that these vaccines does not have any side effects i will stay away from them.
There is no doubt it is the biggest experiment in human history, there are many companies producing their version and then there are world leaders who are taking the shots to show that it is safe. I am not against vaccination but i feel like it is better to stay away from this rush and monitor all the things and there are reports regarding several vaccines reacts differently according to every individual body which is scary.
1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 23, 2021, 09:31:59 PM
~
Styles makes fights and it will be a great fight and i am excited to see this fight finally coming to fruition.
That is the case even i was talking about, styles makes fights and Tyson Fury have the boxing arsenal to combat Anthony Joshua, the fight he lost he was unable to adjust the game plan according to the adverse situation but Tyson Fury always have plan B and he always rise to the occasion.

Saying 3 rounds knockdown is surely a big talk.Just like on what you had said is that I don't see for AJ to go down in just mere 3 rounds. For 9-12 then it might be possible.

but still Fury shouldn't really be that too careless and rushing up things because you wouldn't know on when lucky punch would land.
Check out all the pre fight press conference Tyson Fury made and he always tells what he is planning to do inside the fight and he always does that inside the ring as well. In his recent fight when he said he will knockout Wilder no one believed and he just did that.

The knockout punches are not lucky punches, there is a setup for the punch to land and they are not swinging wildly to land the punch.
1732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else still regret not buying Bitcoin in 2011? on: January 23, 2021, 08:19:41 PM
I knew Bitcoin way back maybe 2014 when price is $500 but I don't  regret because I don't really have money to buy. For a less fortunate guy like me, regret is not an issue it is just fair because spending Bitcoins for family's basic needs is my priority.
You mean by joining bounty and earning the coin is your priority. There is nothing wrong in that but you cannot make much profit by just joining in bounties and i am not sure the alt bounties are even profitable.

@OP, the only regret i have is that i did not invest like i wanted to hold for the long term when the price was really low and i gambled a lot with the coins i owned, over all i am happy with my investment as it helped me in earning a much bigger profit than any other investment.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 23, 2021, 07:00:13 PM
I've gone for a cheeky bet on Mcgregor to get a TKO inside the 4th or 5th round. No matter what happens, I only hope that its an actual fight, and doesn't end like it did last time. I want to see a few rounds of these boys going at each other, to get a good idea on the skill set difference.
Your wish will be fulfilled as it is not that easy to finish Dustin Poirier in the early rounds once he transitioned to the current division and historically Conor McGregor never had a knockout victory after the third round, either it goes to the decision or he looses.

My prediction for this card.
Sara McMann, Michael Chandler, Makhmud Muradov, Amir Albazi, Joanne Calderwood and Amanda Ribas.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 23, 2021, 05:25:20 PM
That's why people admire him, AJ's last 2 fights compared to Fury's last 2 fights, you can tell why people is loving him to win this fight. If only AJ did not lose against Ortiz once, maybe people would believe that this is an even fight as both fighters will be undefeated.
Anthony Joshua never fought Ortiz it was Andy Ruiz and it was a fight the team management of Anthony Joshua handpicked thinking it was an easy fight and he clearly underestimated his boxing skills and paid the price, in fighting you cannot underestimate any fighter and it was a great learning point for Anthony Joshua.

However, they are the best fighters in their division now, one has to reign and fans believe it's gonna be the gypsy king.
The Gypsy king is the greatest boxer of this generation and he will prove that by defeating Anthony Joshua .
1735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I predict stricter regulations for bitcoin and the cryptospace for 2021-2024 on: January 23, 2021, 03:11:02 PM
Coindesk is saying that the correction from $42,000 to $32,000 was caused by the double spent event reported by BitMEX. But from the pattern I saw, it more closely corresponds to the reaction towards the statement from Janet Yellen. A few days back, she made a statement hinting that measures would be taken to outlaw the trading and transfer of Bitcoin. A number of institutional investors took a serious note of this statement.
The BitMeX blunder is exposed by now, i cannot understand their research team coming out with serious allegations about the network without understanding the basics, they have no idea about RBF and so is the reason they came up with this verdict and they exposed their expertise  Cheesy.
The statement by Janet Yellen is series as they have the power to implement the regulation they want.
1736  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: January 22, 2021, 08:48:05 PM
It will be OK, another 2 billion Tether printed to sustain this bull run
They keep on printing Tether and i always wonder when this will end. In the last rally even though i had my worries i was holding the profit in Tether as it was the only coin with volatility but now there are many options to hold the coins and most probably i will be holding in fiat until i decide to invest again as you never know when the SEC will produce a lawsuit against them.

This is the wild west of bitcoin market and if they price could rally from $20k to $40k in a matter of few days then it is possible that the market could dip below $20k.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 22, 2021, 07:23:48 PM
^  McGregor has bad cardio.  Early rounds are for him.  If it goes to the later rounds, Poirier could win.
This is exactly the sole reason i am going with Dustin Poirier to win the fight, if McGregor cannot catch him early in the fight especially in the first two rounds it is going to be a difficult fight for Conor McGregor as Dustin Poirier will gain momentum as the rounds increases and his stamina and endurance will prevail and that is what i am expecting and with the level of respect both fighters are showing which is unusual for Conor McGregor, i am confident on my bet .

Bad news... fight Ottman Azaitar vs. Matt Frevola and Nasrat Haqparast vs Arman Tsarukyan are canceled and removed from UFC 257 fight card Sad
Ottman Azaitar was one of my UFC picks this time but he missed to show up for weigh-in, and similar thing happened with other mentioned fighter Nasrat Haqparast.
Ottman Azaitar and Matt Frevola could have been a great fight but the rest of the main cards are intact and the match up i am looking forward is how Michael Chandler performs in the UFC, Dan Hooker clearly has the height advantage and he is good in take down defense and how Michael Chandler could perform during adversity is what makes this fight interesting.
For the main card i am going with Dustin Poirier as i feel like he is much established in the division and have gone through great strikers and came on top while McGregor is having his third fight.
1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy more Bitcoin on: January 21, 2021, 03:51:14 PM
BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager with $7.81 trillion under management, seem to have given two of its fund the ability to invest in bitcoin futures.

Still wondering why bitcoin hasn't touched $50k???
They never said that they are going to invest in bitcoin, they will be investing in the futures market, with huge players entering the futures market where they do not even hold the coins but the main thing you will see is that they could manipulate the market easily and i wont be surprised even if we will see major corrections every other week when these kind of big players enter the market.

As for Umar Nurmagomedov who won today by submission, I listened to his and Khabibs coach who said that Umar is most talented fighter he ever saw in his life, good all around fighter that is more talented than Khabib was!
The hype on Umar Nurmagomedov is the only reason i made a bet in this fight card, after a disastrous betting spree in the last fight card i was not confident on placing a bet and i just went with Umar Nurmagomedov in a parlay which includes other sports.

Michael Chiesa won the fight against Neil Magny, i was expecting Neil Magny to win the fight and glad that i stayed away from it.
I missed watching the entire card, i messed up because of the odd timing than usual.

Here is the results, source from Wiki
