1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 10, 2021, 09:31:40 PM
The topmost advantage in playing cricket in the UAE is that they don't have to pay any entertainment tax or income tax there (UAE doesn't have any of these taxes). When the BCCI conducted IPL in UAE, they saved around 30% of the total amount in the form of tax waiver on ticket sales and GST. The players also benefitted, as they were excluded from personal income tax (which can be as high as 43% in India). And obviously playing in India means providing favors to the politicians and bureaucrats in the from of free tickets and dinners.
I do understand the weaver in Entertainment tax but how can a player avoid income tax by playing a month in Dubai ?. The organizing team will save a lot of money because they do not have the taxes imposed like other countries but income tax is not one of them and every player will pay their taxes even if they play in tax free zones Grin.

To everyone who responded to my query, the problem is sorted. It was not the issue from my side as the site was working fine the next day as i took a break and the next day it was running smoothly. Some commented about my internet connection, i do have a high speed 100 Mbps dedicated line and it will never be an issue unless there is a natural disaster Wink.
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 10, 2021, 05:21:13 PM
Looking at the alt coins market rallying i am surprised with the way in which BNB rallied over $120 in short period of time and doge coin was another surprising coin that rallied and surprised everyone and there are other coins that are rallying and touching their all time high valuation as well, all i can do is watch the market and decide on when to offload the coins i hold and repeat the process  Cheesy.

England and India are playing best mate game, both changed their position after 1st test. Australia will watch every match of this series. Their WTC finals dreams depends on it.
Australia is not touring South Africa and with that situation how can they qualify if India win the series after loosing the first game, they will automatically qualify and if England wins the series they will qualify, does Australia have a remote possibility to play the WTC finals with these circumstances, New Zealand is one team and the winner of India and England will automatically qualify as far as i understand.

I am having issues with the sports book, when ever i try to wage a bet the sports book goes offline and how many times i refresh it remains the same.

Do sort it out as i was planning to wage a bet on England to win but now the opportunity is gone to wage as they are on top Undecided

This is the error it is showing.

1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 08, 2021, 11:59:46 PM
The upcoming IPL auctions are interesting. Players such as Marnus Labuschagne will be up for the first time, and there are rumors that CSK may be interested in him. He performed really well during the BBL season (for Brisbane Heat), although he missed most of the initial phase due to national duty. But then, Steve Smith is an example of a good test player who doesn't always perform at the T20 format. I just hope Labuschagne doesn't end up like him.
Steve Smith is released from his old IPL team and he might enter auctions, Joe Root and a few other England players have already withdrawn from the IPL this year and we might hear more players skipping this years schedule because of the schedule they were having with all the bubble restrictions and they are playing without meeting their families for months because of these bubble situation and restrictions.

1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: February 08, 2021, 11:44:32 PM
So, although the MMA world is probably sweating it right now, Jake does have a reasonable excuse, and any outcome isn't going to overly damage his reputation. If he gets brutally knocked out, and doesn't land a glove then that might make him become a "meme", but its not really going to effect his chances of progressing further into boxing if he wanted too.
I have seen Jake Paul scratching as i cannot call them professional boxers even though the record books shows that, the boxing commission would allow any journeyman to compete as a boxer if you are new to the sport and he won both of his bouts by knockout which means he has power in his hands, Ben Askren is never known to be a hard puncher nor a technical stand up fighter and if Jake could land a clean punch the tide will turn against Askren.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: May-Pac 2, will it finally happen? on: February 08, 2021, 11:20:15 PM
Mayweather cannot beat that record being an 8 division champion. Pacquiao will be the only person within this generation that has the audacity to get to that accomplishment. Mayweather might have an unbeaten record but he did not start from the bottom up. Yah, he can brag about it all he wants.
It is impossible to match the number of divisions Manny Pacquiao conquered throughout his career by majority of the fighters and he was an exceptional talent and i have read about his childhood struggle and we are yet to know the amount of fights he had as an amateur. Both these fighters are regarded as legends by many boxing fans

The only real question now though is, does Mayweather really want to fight Pacquiao? The other question is, would Pacquiao want to lose to Mayweather?
Mayweather might be trying to understand the market hype and he already tried to match up with others for exhibition fight but it attained luke warm response but a Manny rematch will be one of the biggest fights in history.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man arrested in Germany keeps $60 Million dollars in Bitcoin from the police on: February 08, 2021, 07:57:28 PM
Even if torture was allowed in the EU, there would be boundaries. For instance, they wouldn't be able to crush his fingers, pull his teeth, or drill holes in his body. Most people can survive mild torture like starvation, light deprivation and similar. I once saw a documentary about Russian prisons and the worst criminals are kept under light in a white, empty cell 24/7, so they can never sleep long and comfortably. 2 years for stealing millions? I'd also keep my mouth shut and count days until release.
If the law cannot force him to provide the password then there might not be a law to force him from him, Germany does have its restrictions and you cannot torture in providing the password to unlock the coins once he said he lost the password as his lawyer could provide evidence of investors who lost their coins because they lost their password. One thing is that he will not be able to use the coins, if he uses he will be back in jail for lying to the law.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 08, 2021, 06:22:25 PM
I came across this article and it seems like the betting is whether the fight will happen or not, lol
If any Vegas betting house comes out with a odds like this, then you cannot trust Floyd Mayweather or Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent, they will wage a million dollar bet on fighting and probably share the profit  Cheesy. The odds of having this match up is really high and you never know whether these fighters will wage online, in some sports you are not allowed to wage on your matches but there are many gamblers in sports and i guess they do wage online and if the line changes drastically then we will know that something is brewing behind the scene Cheesy.

Not going to be easy for England. Among their spinners, only Dom Bess picked up wickets in the first innings. Both Jack Lech and Joe Root went for plenty of Runs.
Joe Root just bowled two overs, the first over he just gave away a run but his next over the batsman attacked him and he is not even a regular bowler. Dom Bess is the trump card and leach is getting purchase from the wicket and India needs to play exceptionally well to draw the match and i am going with England to win the match as the pitch will not help for defensive batting.

But the only difference here is that the Indian batsmen are in very good form, and their morale is quite high after the series in Australia.
If the top order can stay in the crease till the afternoon session then the middle order could do the rest as witnessed in the Australian series but it is a big hurdle and it is difficult to replicate the same magic twice.

Finally Usman is going to be tested by someone able to beat him!
Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns were team mates and they know each other very well and it will be the biggest test for kamaru Usman and his fighting style as Gilbert Burns have knockout power as well as the ground game and i think when two great ground fighters fight they usually stall and fight on the feet. I am going with Gilbert Burns in this match up as i feel he has a legitimate chance to upset the division.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 08, 2021, 11:38:53 AM
Summery : England dominated the game throughout all 4 days and they deserve to win here (Saying this as a test cricket fan)
England just need to pick 9 more wickets to win the match, India have shown resistance in Australia by defending the entire day and whether they can do in a pitch like Chennai which is favoring the spinners especially in the final day and the wicket of Rohit Sharma was a reminder how clueless the batsman can be in reading the line and length of the ball.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: February 08, 2021, 10:11:42 AM
You could say Bitcoin is able to make someone the richest in the world but Bitcoin is still not recognized by the world government so it will be difficult to make claims. If we agree with Satoshi is the richest man because of his ownership of many Bitcoins then what about other crypto owners such as Vitalik, CZ, and Justin Sun.
You do not need a government to recognized to become a million when you book your profit. If you were lucky enough to invest in bitcoin during the initial years and then have the patience to hold the coin for a very long time, then you could become a millionaire and there are many that made millions in the cryptocurrency market and then are a exceptional few that made billions.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was left behind with btc market. on: February 07, 2021, 11:30:12 PM
I am posting this because I was surprised how bitcoin market price move. I can't hardly believe that after some time of inactivity in the forum and cryptocurrency there has been a huge changes happen. A drastic bullish trend of bitcoin and other altcoins tha are bullish too like ethereum. I was gonne thought that cryptocurrency could pop like a bubble and everything will go back to the bottom.
There is still time for the bubble to pop, wait for a few months and you can see the market going down and taking a dive Grin. Enjoy when the market when it is in the bull run and if you were smart enough to invest when the market was down then you could have reap  the dividends.

Another thing that I also check @coinmarketcap.com is a coin at the top of the listed crypto of coinmarketcap.com btc in the coinmarketcap.com. It has a rank 0 in it highest of all in the market. What could really be happening of thia crypto and why it was being posted in top. There is a  high chance that it can grow for more knowing it is listed at the top.
Looks like you are talking about WallStreetBets, it is a reddit group which was influential in the gamestop rally and they have pumped doge as well and it is a fun addition and nothing else.

1656  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your personal best in percentage for profits out of one month trading? on: February 07, 2021, 07:16:20 PM
I am not trading on a regular basis as i am patient enough to wait and i have made profits in almost of the major coins in the market ranging in 3000% and sometimes even more, i never had any major losses in the market but there were times during the ICO boom that i was too greedy to hold for a much longer time and had to book the profit at a much lesser profit. Lessons learned and move on and now i am holding only top coins and waiting for the right moment to book my profit and it will be well above 150%.
1657  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1BTC Reaching 1million Still Unrealistic on: February 07, 2021, 05:51:27 PM
Anything is possible with global hyperinflation and Bitcoin can even be one million if dollar and all other fiat currencies goes wild like we saw in Zimbabwe and other parts of the world.
We might see inflation but there is no way the major countries will be affected with hyper inflation like Zimbabwe , you need to come up with such policies constantly for us to see hyperinflation and if US is affected then Euro will be used as the global currency.

That would be much different world than we know now and it would be only temporary until some new currencies arise, and we know from history that all fiat currencies will collapse sooner or later.
Maybe we need to start and calculate wealth in Bitcoins instead of dollars.
Historically there will be major power shift but we might not see a power shift in the near future and it is impossible to start calculating your wealth in bitcoin simply because of the volatility.
1658  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on this fast-growing global marketplace on: February 07, 2021, 03:12:20 PM
Am a Nigerian and I can say that the Ban on Crypto-currency by the Central bank of Nigeria is more than safe guarding the country but an approach against the youth of Nigeria, there was a time Nigerian youth was protesting against bad governance and police brutality and for this peaceful protest, they needed money to fund it and the Federal government approached to freezing account, and they shifted to Bitcoin, now they Federal government has decided in a rush to ban crypto-currency.
Now i understand the real political connection, they are trying to silence the protest and wanted to control the population by freezing their funds so that they do not come out and protest in fear of getting their accounts frozen and that is the reason they might want to restrict the cryptocurrency space and these should be challenged and i expected other countries to revolt against that.
1659  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin is going cross $40k again? on: February 07, 2021, 01:32:11 PM
^^
The price once again rallied to $40 and i have no idea whey it rallied once again may be because of the hype created by Elon Musk and now the price might go down once again as the market went down 3%. I am not doing options trading and i would like to know about the open position by the end of this month to have an idea how the market might go.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 07, 2021, 10:41:16 AM
England dominated the match and it is great to see India getting dominated from visiting teams and the bowlers were able to pick 6 wickets and now the tail end players are in the crease, Sundar and Ashwin can only delay the duration of the match and they are playing a patient innings and they still trail by 345 runs but i doubt England will enforce the follow on because the bowlers are tired and they might play a couple of session if that situation arises.
