1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paris Hilton has joined Bitcoin’s “laser eyes to $100,000” on: April 03, 2021, 11:16:41 AM
Do we need anyone who came to global prominence by releasing 1 Night in Paris  Cheesy, i came to know about her after her videos and she was rich and during that period i had no idea why she would release something like that and later on i understood the trend  Grin and she might have invested in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency and she is even interested in the NFT market and i wont be surprised if she shells out millions to grab some tokens in the NFT market.

1402  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 02, 2021, 11:59:47 PM
I'm Platinum here but not from long time. Because I wasn't a regular gambler at stake. I started playing seriously here since January of this year and reached Platinum VIP level with few hours gameplay (wager). Although I have created account three years ago but never played with good bankroll before.

It's not hard to make the wager but the hardest thing is to maintain the patience. And I have lost a decent amount for the lack of patience. So there wasn't any actual success behind my wager. Nowadays I have become irregular gambler again.
How much is your win loss ratio. Stake does have some crazy gamblers who wage huge amounts and i have not met anyone in recent times who is willing to wage higher amounts even though i see high rolls in the site.

@ Stunna i would like to bet on OneFC (MMA promotion) as well as there are some good fights coming up this week especially two former UFC champions fighting and i searched the site and could not find them even though there are Bellator events listed.
1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Paypal allows crypto payment for all 29mil merchants on: April 02, 2021, 11:00:58 PM
This is the reason of bitcoin pump right now, if anyone still curious.
But it's currently only supported 4 coins, hopefully they will allow other coin as well in the future.
What is the point in adding more coins if you are not able to do the basic function of owning the coin, right now you are not owning anything just some digits in a software. So the market increases because people will hedge bitcoin to purchase products  Grin. As long as PayPal does not allow its customers to withdraw the coins i do not really consider this as adoption.
If i want to purchase anything i really do not need to purchase bitcoin from Paypal to do so i can do that in other effective ways without the fuzz Grin.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was paper money rejected by religions as much as Bitcoin? on: April 02, 2021, 09:01:42 PM
It is really confusing when you hear these bullshit, we are living in a modern society and where does religion stands during those times, yeah i bet there are many who exploit people in the name of religion and make insane amount of money and what i do not understand is do religion control any of these, may be in countries who have exploiting rules where women does not even have equal rights.

I am not judging but i am not an expert in this nor we will see any legit information about it online and i have no idea why a religion would reject bitcoin, the only aspect i understand is that they do not like transparency and have a trail for every transaction which is obvious  Tongue.
1405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 02, 2021, 03:57:31 PM
Pakistan needs another 56 runs in next 54 balls in order to win. PAK have five wickets in hand, for now the remaining target easily attainable. But, before that Terrific innings made by Babar Azam, which is absolutely brilliant. His pull and drive are a treat to watch.
Pakistan should win the match as they need just 36 runs from 42 balls but since Pakistan is known to give us surprises you cannot fully believe that they can score the winnings runs as i have seen them loosing wickets in a pile and turn the match upside down. Babar Azam played an incredible innings along with Imam ul Haq and Rassie van der Dussen played the lone innings for South Africa and now a days if you see a total below 300 runs it looks like a achievable target  Cheesy.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 02, 2021, 02:31:45 PM
Yesterday they had enough wickets at hand, but they were scoring runs at snail's pace. The scoring rate picked up only after Kyle Mayers got out. Jason Holder and Joshua Da Silva tried to push up the run rate, but from one end Kraigg Brathwaite was again dragging it down. To complicate things further, there is a slight chance of rain for today.
West Indies did play a patient innings and they were not looking to win the match, all the were looking was a safe situation where they do not loose the match and now the rains has stopped the match and even though i thought Sri Lanka could last a few sessions and could draw the match now with the rain interruption i am certain that the match will end up in a draw, unless we some outstanding bowling performance from West Indies.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 01, 2021, 08:31:39 PM

Yes. They get paid the full amount (as per the contract), even if they don't get selected for even a single match. But the condition is that they should be "available for selection". If someone is injured, or unavailable due to some other reason (similar to what happened to Suresh Raina in IPL 2020), then they need to forfeit the salary. So for players such as Tahir, it means that they may get money for not doing much work.  Grin
That is awesome to get picked by any team in the IPL throwing insane amount of money and with the restrictions of only 4 foreign players allowed in a team the rest of the players will be earning the money even without playing and the only problem i see is that they get rusty if they are not getting match practice and especially with retired players they will not last longer if they are warning the bench most of the time.
1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 01, 2021, 07:48:54 PM
Bangladesh team had the lack of a proper leadership during this tour. There was no good combination between the players. Most of the players have performed very badly in all matches. Though Bangladesh isn't good in T20 games, but their performance should have been more better than they did. Miss field (dropping catches) was one of the notable bad performance by them.
The problem is not about leadership, it is about finding young talents who could perform in fast pitches and they need to search for genuine fast bowlers if they need to start winning outside the subcontinent. The team usually win matches with the help of their spinners and once the pitch is not assisting them they start to struggle and that is evident from the series and obviously they need to improve tremendously in their fielding department as well.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 01, 2021, 03:50:59 PM
In the first session of the fourth day of the match, West Indies lost one wicket for 57 runs. They are ahead by 153 runs. West Indies are likely to provide a target of more than 250 runs.
This is the fourth day and a lead of 250 runs will not be a comfortable lead and West Indies wont be confident enough to declare the innings with a lead like that. If Sri Lanka can bowl well and bat for a much longer time then they can draw this match too. West Indies is already having a lead of 153 runs  and they are not going at a high pace either, so a lead over 340 might be a safe total to defend.

That's a shocking defeat indeed and lucky the ones betting for North Macedonia! Kazakhstan surprised us too with a draw vs Ukraine.
International competitions are tricky and sometimes harder to predict comparing to national leagues. The best thing is that major leagues will resume this weekend Wink
It is better to stay away from these games or hope that we will see more upsets and keep on betting on heavy underdogs, the odds for Germany to win was a mere 1.18 and 1.02 for win or draw, just imagine the odds for an upset would be and the sad part was that i was not even able to cash out once the match started and it was another bummer and ended up busting everything  Undecided.

~
It was totally a shocking result for everyone. Who would have expect Germany to lose against such a weak competitor? I really don't understand sometimes when big teams lose points or even lose the match against very small teams. There is a huge quality difference and it was one of the important matches for Germany in the group also.

I'll bet so many people placed a bet on Germany tonight.
May be there are many who were unlucky like me and i did not expect Germany to get defeated like this as i was expecting over 2.5 goals as well from Germany but they failed to score goals whenever they got the opportunity and i had a bad feeling by the second half mid that Germany might be defeated but unlikely i was not able to cash out and i am not sure why that was the reason, either way disappointed for placing a bet thinking it was an easy parlay.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 31, 2021, 08:47:17 PM
What the fuck did i saw with Germany loosing to North Macedonia, what is going on with the team and i have not seen  North Macedonia defeating top teams before and my brain is scrambling as i made a parlay bet along with other bets and Germany just lost to some random team which i have not heard before  Roll Eyes. It is better to stay away from these mess as i thought these are easy fixtures again smaller teams.
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 31, 2021, 06:55:53 PM
Tahir is just unlucky. He is one of the best spinners in T20 format, despite his age. But CSK is one of the teams that depends heavily on overseas players and therefore it is difficult to accommodate him. Also, middle order is the weak spot for CSK and they need someone like Moeen to strengthen them in that component. For most of the other franchises, Tahir would be an automatic selection for the playing XI. But as I said, he is just unlucky to be with the CSK.
Do the players get the same payment if they play or not, if so Imran Tahir is doing fine as he is a sort after spinner in any other franchise cricket and he is stuck with CSK for a long time and when ever he gets the opportunity he usually performs well if i remember correctly and Moeen Ali is another player who will be an automatic selection in any other team because of his batting exploits and his bowling ability.

I do think these players are getting paid even if they are not in the playing eleven if not they would have requested for a release long back Grin.
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: March 30, 2021, 07:34:11 PM
Customers who hold bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash and litecoin in PayPal digital wallets will now be able to convert their holdings into fiat currencies at checkouts to make purchases, the company said.

The service, which PayPal revealed it was working on late last year, will be available at all of its 29 million merchants in the coming months, the company said.
You can use your bitcoin while purchasing something and that is well and good but i would like to know when they are planning to allow their customers to withdraw the coins and that is the only feature majority of them are waiting. If PayPal could add that basic function of any service then i would accept them as a revolution as it could attract massive adoption if they allow withdrawal function.
1414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 29, 2021, 11:59:13 PM
Shakib Al Hasan is back from suspension but his problem with the Bangladesh cricket board is still brewing as there was a controversy when he applied for NOC to play in the IPL as some of the board members accused him that he wanted to skip national duties but despite these he reached India to join his IPL team and he will be playing for them.
If i remember correctly that is shared here, the suspension of Shakib Al Hasan stemmed from a dispute with the Bangladesh cricket board when they were revolting or something and they took the opportunity of some bookie approaching him as a code of conduct breach as per the ICC and it is sad to hear that the issues are still there as he is one of the best all rounders in world cricket and his presence makes one hell of a difference for their team as well and if the cricket board still pushed him he might even retire from international cricket and focus on franchise cricket and he is a sort after player for different teams.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FIFA World Cup 2022: Qatar on: March 29, 2021, 11:47:31 PM
The one thing that could still happen is that the tournament might not get started if a new variant of COVID-19 starts spreading around the time the World Cup starts. Anything is possible including the cancellation of the tournament midway through if some of he players test positive.

I am not entirely convinced it will go ahead on time in Qatar unless there are contingency plans. Maybe FIFA and Qatar will agree to allow some games to take place in neighbouring countries if problems arise.
The Arabs usually does things better and they will be fully prepared for the event even if it means a new strain of virus is giving them the challenge. UAE have conducted UFC events successfully and Qatar is another rich country who can take care of things even in a bubble. Their plan will be to vaccinate everyone but even if there is a new strain of virus i am certain that they will be able to conduct the tournament as scheduled.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ADA and eth competitors get dumped if/when Ethereum 2.0 comes out? on: March 29, 2021, 11:36:34 PM
I don't think real competitors would be dumped but wannabe competitors may go down. Ethereum is not a monopoly, there are a lot of smart contract, proof of stake and nft platforms. When you think about bigger picture, crypto space is still too small comparing to whole world's financial system. It will grow exponentially just like Bitcoin did. So there are a lot of space for all these coins.
I do think that Ethereum has the monopoly in the market as there are other chains that are available for years and we have not seen many projects that are using their platforms, the only time we saw some migrations was when the transaction charges of Ethereum started to frustrate the developers and they were forced to move to other chains with lower transaction fees.

I do not think that the projects that jumped from ETH will return even if the magical ETH 2.0 is implemented and functioning as they say.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: The New Zealand Pension Fund announced a $ 17.5 million bitcoin (BTC) investment on: March 29, 2021, 11:00:57 PM
And most of the previous posters missed the most important point. They made the purchase in October 2020, when the average price was $10,000 per coin. As per the current rates, their $17.5 million investment has grown to $101 million.
This is the most important aspect if they invested the pension fund when the price was around $10k and looking now it was a genius investment as the price rallied five folds and it is one hell of a profit as they do not get these profits in any financial market and i would like to know when they will be booking their profit or they already booked their profit.

If they disclosed these before i am sure there will be questions raised on why they invested pension funds in a high volatile market.
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Retirement Funds Starting to Buy Bitcoins Nasdaq Say on: March 29, 2021, 10:02:59 PM
We hoped for mass adoption to start bottom-up, but it seems like all these institutions are going to get into Bitcoin long before average joes. I actually don't see any problem here, but still it's a bit sad that it didn't go like Satoshi and early Bitcoin enthusiasts have hoped for.
It was obvious that these big time investment firms will jump into anything that could make them a profit and that is what we are seeing here, the casual adoption did not take place as everyone was waiting for the regulations to come into effect as far as i understand nor they are not too confident in investing in a volatile market but since the institutional investors started pumping the price there is no way the casual investor will be risking their money at this valuation.
1419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING POLL ADDED] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: March 29, 2021, 09:13:43 PM
You know, a Fury's form will be an important factor in their fight. If he would be as fat as he was in November 2015, after victory over Klitschko, then he might have some troubles with Joshua.
After the Klitschko fight Tyson Fury basically retired from the sport vacating the belt, so there is no point in saying that he will be in trouble against anyone if he is retired Tongue.

I tried to check his form in instagram, but Fury has removed all of his pictures. Perhaps he is preparing for the fight. Perhaps not  Grin Just check how slim he is right now. Cheeks has left his face Cheesy
The fight against Joshua is a high profile fight and i am sure he will not lapse that thinking that it is going to be an easy fight as a win against him will cement his legacy as the best Heavyweight of the generation and i am expecting a Tyson Fury in the best shape of his life.

Those who interested in associate cricket can watch the Uzbekistan Premier League and Betbarter T10 Tajikistan Premier League on FanCode. Both the tournaments are scheduled for August 2021. A few Indian players are also taking part in the Tajikistan league according to the organizers (along with players from Afghanistan, England and Pakistan). The Tajikistan league will the the third to be sponsored by BetBarter (previously they had sponsored T10 leagues in Vanuatu and Zambia).
This is the first time i am hearing about the tournament, T20 is difficult enough to predict and there is no way i am able to predict T10 and that too with teams i have not heard about. Looks like the T10 tournaments are catching up around the world where cricket is not played much and these shorter format will attract new audience to the sport.
