^^ I am glad to see that some of these players who were retired a decade ago are keeping their fitness level, i was expecting a normal tournament in the beginning but some are dominating especially Kevin Pietersen and if Andrew Flintoff was also in the team they would have won the entire tournament as they both can smash any of these bowlers out of the park as they are really fit and can smash the ball a long way.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 15, 2021, 01:09:37 PM
I think is finally time for Liverpool to wake up tonight with a great win against Wolves.I know recent form of Liverpool is one of the worse but the player quality is still there and I think they are going to win big like 1-4 and make all their fans happy.
I do not think that Liverpool will wake up even today, i am not expecting much goals today and the best option is under goals and i would go as far to bet on Wolverhampton double chance to win rather than going for Liverpool  Cheesy. The reason for my pick is Wolverhampton is on a good streak and the only loss in recent times is against City and we all know Liverpool is struggling and the fans are disappointing as well but with so many injuries whats more to expect.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 15, 2021, 12:38:21 PM
@7788bitcoin. I speculate that Kevin Holland might only be another hyped fighter similar to the other Derek Brunson victim, Edmen Shahbazyan who is managed and very much hyped by Ronda Rousey hehehe.
Ronda Rousey and his team knows how to hype a fighter and Edmen Shahbazyan was the victim in this situation, he was a good prospect but was thrown to the top of the fight card too soon and it is a gamble the UFC took as they give opportunities for young prospects and even Jon Jones was in the same situation when he ran with it and he turned out to be the best fighter in history. Kevin Holland came into my limelight when i started seeing him the fight card too often last year and then started following him as he fought 5 times last year and won every fight in impressive fashion.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India makes ownership of Bitcoin criminal offense - How to respond? on: March 15, 2021, 11:12:58 AM
A lot of people were hoping for a rethink from the part of the government, after the high-pitched social media campaign. But the government hasn't moved a bit and they are very adamant about the blanket ban on cryptocurrency. They are planning to ban all the cryptocurrencies that were invented outside India. It is very simple. They will ban established cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, LTC and ADA, so that their cronies such as Ambani and Adani could come up with the "made in India" version of cryptocurrency.
So does that mean that the shitty government will come out with a bunch of centralized cryptocurrencies created as per your term invented (a mere copy using a open source code)  Cheesy. I have no idea about the internal politics but i understand that they ruling party is a right wing organization who are notorious for creating community violence and the minority are harassed.

What i cannot understand is that, are these official government publications about it publishing these or just rumors spreading in the social media as we are seeing these threads for months.
1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc will be 120000 USD maximum this 2021 on: March 15, 2021, 10:10:54 AM
I have researched and its my personal research. as per the conclusion . BTC will be 120K in this bull run. But if a government ban or somthing happended it may vary.

How about your thoughts?
If you did any meaningful research for real you need to publish all the research papers so that everyone could verify what you are talking about. There are 195 countries and which government ban could affect the price and what is the price variance you are talking about with each government ban from one country to the other and what calculation methods you used  Tongue.

Hope you understand the difference between research and search Grin.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: March 15, 2021, 09:07:10 AM
~
Yeah there was a rush to get the deal done and most of the octagon assets were sold out for the near future. You will definitely see that stake logo more prominently in the future, also there is some real interesting stuff that the UFC is cooking up with us.
That is wonderful news, we are waiting for the stake banner to appear inside the Octagon and i am really proud as a fan of the sport to see a Stake banner.

I took the bet because of the 3x, returns too tempting but I missed the point about him fighting  above his own weight class which does make it a fair bit more risky.   I'm sure he will be fine longer term but I might look at side bets also :p
Israel Adesanya always liked challenges and he has done that in the past in Kick Boxing where he moved up to Heavy Weight division and had some splendid performances and he had his first loss in Kick Boxing in the Heavy Weight division. He does not care about padding his record and we should appreciate his mentality and pushing his limits.

The 3x return was a great deal and Israel Adesanya was a huge favorite because majority thought it was an easy fight for him, the only reason i had my doubts and waged a bet on the underdog is because of the ground game of Jan Błachowicz and in the stand up it was close until the fight went to the ground.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I convince people that Bitcoin isn't a financial pyramid? on: March 15, 2021, 07:46:33 AM
Maybe telling them every day, showing them proof that you are actually making money from this, guarantees that they will show an interest one day.
I am still skeptical about this method of teaching - one where the commodity being discussed has a bigger negative image from the start.
The dangers of this way of convincing is that it looks like a typical ponzi and you cannot convince anyone by saying that the price would rise on a daily basis and how they will convince during a bear market. The only way to convince anyone is to explain about how the financial system works and the difference between centralized and decentralized currency and touch upon market recession and inflation citing examples of different countries and if the other person has any idea about economics then it would be easier if not it is a big hurdle to make them understand.
1488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Looks like India is perhaps serious about banning cryptocurrency on: March 15, 2021, 06:42:19 AM
It's crazy to think about a government actually making it illegal, acting like you are some terrible criminal, simply for holding a digital asset. I guess other smaller nations have done this, but India would be the first major nation if it indeed passes. The idea of banning bitcoin is a great litmus test on how much economic freedom a nation has - and if you ban it you are a terribly monetarily oppressive nation.
We are hearing conflicting news regarding this every week and as @bryant.coleman mentioned there are many threads here discussing about it and one think i understood is that India is not a good country to invest as you will stay in the grey as you will not have any clarity regarding your business and as per the recent comment regarding the ban it is said that they are planning to give 6 months time to liquidate and they are criminalizing holding cryptocurrency which is crazy.
1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 14, 2021, 11:59:29 PM
If Malinga was in the team then we can expect an upset even in this situation but Pollard is in form and still in the crease and the captaincy suits him as he is leading from the front and i think he is performing much better as a captain.
Lasith Malinga is still playing but only in the T20 version of the game and he might be looking to play till the world cup and then announce his retirement and he is 37 years old and even if he is in the team now he is not the same bowler he once was. Sri Lanka needs to find young talents and they need to find good bowlers, if not they will be struggling like they are in the past few years after the retirement of their well accomplished players.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 14, 2021, 11:50:12 PM
The first two matches the team chasing won the game even though the second match is still going on that is how the series is unfolding and England put on a decent score on the board than India was able to score in the first match and the dew factor might be the reason the bowlers are not able to maintain the grip and the fielders are struggling.
That is a valid point, the team chasing has won on both occasions and if they are playing in the same stadium then i might place a bet on the chasing team as England chased the score even though it was small without much trouble and today India chased it easily.

This is a big match for the Indian cricket team before the IPL season. This match has served as a trailer for upcoming IPL scheduled within few weeks time. Every player made their contribution, which is the best part of the match. This win has also made the series more competitive, because if India had lost this game surely England will have low pressure to win a match out of the remaining three to win the series. Now every match the pressure of winning will be high.
Is the T20 World cup still on, if that is the case then this is a warm up match for them and IPL is just an icing on the cake to test new players and India is experiment with the team and a win made the series more interesting and i hope England will bounce back as they have a really good T20 team and with the defeat in the Test series they will be looking to win the T20 series.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 14, 2021, 11:35:12 PM
It looks like some curse of UFC main events started after last week Sterling performance, but this time we had serious eye injury for Belal and I think it's time for new gloves to reduce chances for something like this repeating.
Eryk Anders vs Darren Stewart was also no contest this time, but we had a nice performance from Ryan Superman Spann and Dan Ige with their KOs.
What kind of new gloves you are proposing, they cannot have a glove that will restrict their movements as grappling and ground game is involved and if they already had some innovated gloves then they should introduce them as the eyes of Belal Muhammad looked nasty as if someone shot him in the eye.

Next week we have Kevin Holland and Derek Brunson in the main event, do you think it will have he same fate of a no contest . My bet is on Kevin Holland but lets see whether it will be a no contest or disqualification Grin.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 14, 2021, 11:21:16 PM
Rashid was back in the team and that is the sole reason they won the match. He picked up 11 wickets (with 7 in the second innings). The other bowlers were really pathetic. Amir Hamza bowled 66 overs and took just 4 wickets after conceding 177 runs. On the other hand, Rashid bowled an unbelievable 99.1 overs in a single match, and picked up 11 wickets for 275 runs.
Rashid Khan was not in the team in the first Test and they lost the match and it was not even a tight contest and if PSL messed things up with the pandemic protocol then Rashid Khan will be playing for the franchise T20 league and Afghanistan would have lost the match and the series to Zimbabwe. I do think that Zimbabwe was really unlucky that the PSL was stopped midway and so is the reason Rashid Khan is back in the team  Cheesy.
1493  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin will hit $60,000 today, what's next? on: March 14, 2021, 11:01:57 PM
If we consider this issue from the point of view of fixing profits, then I would do it on levels of more than 60k. The probability that bitcoin will do + 100% (will double) is much less likely that it will do -66% (will fall three times). If we talk about long-term investment, then you should not pay attention to today's price at all.
The price of bitcoin rallied from $10k a few months back and it is now holding above $60k which is an insane rally and there are investment coming in even at this price, i was expecting a correction a long time back but it is hard to understand how long these institutional investors keeps on pumping money in it and if they think that they wants to dump everything after the price doubles from this valuation then you might even see those valuation in this rally.

Even if you are looking for long term investment then you should wait for a correction rather than investing at this price.
1494  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: March 14, 2021, 10:28:10 PM
It is. DeFi hype was replaced by NFT (non-functional token) hype. You can see that also well, what sums NFT projects and what sums DeFi project collect. Just like the ICO boom and the DeFi boom, the NFT boom will soon be over and then the next one will come.
It is kind of funny if you look at the market as a whole, one or the other hype pops up and many will join that bandwagon for a long time until that fades away. I have no idea about the DeFi market because i never cared about jumping into it but i have seen many making huge profits without doing literally anything and now the NFT hype because we saw some millions of dollars worth of digital art being purchased.
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 09:34:59 PM
Since everyone had their opinions on both directions, we cannot expect any government to stop the entire network altogether, if US tries to stop the network then expect countries like Russia, Iran and even North Korea will allow a free ride for everything cryptocurrency related and they can even provide the space for miners and it is impossible to force any country to shut that down unless they start a war because they allow bitcoin mining  Cheesy.

We are a decade strong and even if any country wants to restrict or ban it is impossible.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its a bull trap now on: March 14, 2021, 06:45:52 PM
Bitcoin has crossed 60K and will continue to grow in coming days but the bears will keep calling it a bear trap. When bitcoin went to 58K and retraced down,     such people again said it was bull trap. Believe me this is not bull trap and people are buying bitcoin to keep them safe for future. People have realized that with lot of fiat money being printed, it will lead to massive inflation and the safe heaven will only be bitcoin.
We can say that bitcoin is a safe heaven when there is an economic crisis as i am not comfortable or confident enough to invest at this price, i do have one question to you, do you have the confidence and hedge your life savings in bitcoin at this price if you think that inflation will consume the market. I did invest in bitcoin when the price was pennies considering the price now and i was confident at that price but not anymore and these institutional investors who are investing heavily now can book their profit whenever they want and we cannot predict when that would be.

In short we cannot assume how the market will react and as long as these huge investments are coming in the market will rally and the moment they book the profit we will have the same conversation regarding bear trap  Cheesy.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 14, 2021, 05:22:02 PM
Yeah..  Weird card how it ended up.  Two no contests and some very unexpected underdog wins.  That’s the beauty of MMA.  Stats don’t matter much, unlike most other sports out there.
I missed the fights altogether but placed the bets a few days back and the only loss was Misha Cirkunov as i had no idea about Ryan Spann as i do not remember seeing his fight and Dan Ige was the only win i got and the main event was a bummer and stats does not matter in MMA, in boxing we have an idea on the fight will go and only few matches will be difficult to predict but in MMA everything is unpredictable
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 14, 2021, 03:51:46 PM

It is okay to make changes, other players should also be given a chance. Chahal has been bowling good and same for Pandya. Rishab panth is a great asset for the team, good to see Bhuvaneshwar kumar coming back. I think Bhimraj is injured and that is why he is not playing.

Jason Roy was batting very well, unfortunately he lost his wicket because of a Brilliant catch by Kumar. England down with three wickets.
It is fine to make changes but if you are a betting on the match and if the best team is not available it might cause some problems with the outcome of the match, Rohit Sharma is not in the team and i placed a bet on India and then found out they are still experimenting with the team and not a good time to place a bet on the match.

A couple of wickets and i still think England could pull a win in the match even though they failed to score above 180 which i was expecting and i am not familiar with the rest of the batting lineup even though have seen some of them play in the IPL.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 14, 2021, 02:29:15 PM
2nd T-20 Ind vs Eng
India won the toss and they are going to ball first, its a same ground. Ishan Kishan and Surya Kumar Yadav are making their debut, replacing Sikhar and Axar (Looks like Sikhar is dropped). For England Sam Curran replacing Mark Wood.
England had a pretty decent start and i have a doubt regarding the Indian team, i remember Ashwin known as a T20 specialist in the beginning of his career and why is he not in the team. There are new players in the Indian team and it is confusing sometime to follow all these changes. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is back in the team but what happened to Jasprit Bumrah and why is he not in the team.
1500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new projects/ coins do not have ANN on bitcointalk ? on: March 13, 2021, 07:36:14 PM
There was a time when every crypto project had their ANN on bitcointalk. But recently times have changed. I see majority of new projects listed on coinmarketcap but they do not their ANN listed here.
Most of the projects are happy have their community on facebook, twitter, telegram but ignore this platform. What could be the reason for this ?
There might be multiple reasons, in the past our forum is the main platform to advertise a project and now there are other platforms and social media is their preferred option and the main reason for that is that if there is a ANN thread and if it is fishy there are people who will call out their bluff and then there are projects who does not need further promotion and can raise money without posting here.
