I observed a small fork earlier today and resynched back to the main chain, nothing was lost, just the stratum was unavailable for a short time while resync was in progress. I've paid the orphaned blocks from my fees, so you've got paid for everything.
And no, no double spend attack

other link source code .tar.gz https://mega.nz/#!aogyzYAQ!kD7tNVpuxLF9v6kyjQ9OSxaegRsLq5ETJ32eO4tNsvk *facepalm* Learn to use git/github. There is no acceptable reason why any FOSS project should be using a file sharing website like mega to distribute source code (or even binary builds for that matter). Unlikely that the knows how github works or what FOSS/FLOSS is

monero.xminingpool.com/ is reliable to mine in? or what is the best pool with lowest fee (1% or less) that allows high ping from america or has low ping for america
I would definitely stay away from that xminingpool. As far as ping you can check for yourself. 2 pools in the US are moneroworld.com and monerohash.com and both list some other pools. There is also an incomplete list on the first page of this thread. the minmum withdrawl for one of those is 1XMR I guess if there is any with a modifiable withdrawl amount Moneroworld recently changed their payout from 1 to 0.3 so it's now the same as monerohash. Most pools are 0.5 but you can easily check the particulars of each pool on their sites. The network HR is now at an ATH of well over 50MH/s and will only increase from here. You might want to check your ping to https://xmr.suprnova.cc as well, it's usually not too bad from the US, if necessary I can also add a dedicated US/CN node

allright, thanks for clarifying! so far, i do like the pool, service and everything that info would be helpful on the website as well, especially the part of the threshold and the need for named nodes in order to be able to access any statistics. i still seem to do something wrong here as i cannot see any statistics (all values empty) as before even after adding a '.name' to my address string. i guess the link to the anondashboard won't include the addresses '.name' extension, right? mining on my registered account works fine so the problem shouldn't be on the software software-side here i suppose... would it make sense if i pm you my address so you could check if you can find any balance/data to it in the system? be warned that i might have set that address also as payout-addr in my registered account... Yes, you can PM me your address and I'll check the anondashboard stuff again

hmmm, noone knowing what the donation is used for? then i guess its simply some extra benefit to the pool-creator without any certain intent?
Donation is a donation to the pool op - if you like the pool, the service and everything is like you want - donate a bit another one: the suprnova-website (-> getting started) states that anonymous mining is possible by specifying a (ZEC-)address as username. mining statistics should be further available through https://zec.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=anondashboard&user=<address>i've tried to do so but all i get is a dashboard-page where all values are missing even if i have submitted multiple shares before (no balance, no workers listed, empty histograms,...). the address used also has not yet received anything so i guess there is a payout-threshold? if yes, how high is that, if no, how does one trigger a payout for anonymously mined ZEC? again, thanks for your help! The payout threshold is 0.01 ZCL and you need to define a rigname when mining. So for example when you're mining with t1xxxxxxxxxx as wallet address, your username for the miner should be t1xxxxxxxxxxxx.rig1 or .rig2 etc.. Then you can access the statistics for that address using the Anondashboard link on the Homepage.

Hi ocminer,
Does setting a static difficulty work with claymore's miner? I set PSW: d=20000 in the epools.txt, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
Edit: Never mind, figured it out. Difficulty is only applied after about a minute of the server being flooded with super low shares, at which point it takes what you set. Using 1024 for now.
Hmm, weird, I'll check that, usually it should apply the diff instantly after your first submitted share. Let me know if you need any help testing. Found the bug, the diff is now applied right after the first share.

Please check your site https://xzc.suprnova.cc. it was not connected for 20 hours ago. I coud not see my miner status and balance, guy. is your site on maintenance? No problems from my side currently

Just a heads up, I received an e-mail from suprnova three days ago 12/29: You account has been locked due to too many failed password or PIN attempts. Please follow the URL below to unlock your account. Just curious if anyone else has had similar issues, in this pool or elsewhere. Wonder what that was all about...? "Hackers" which have your mailaddresses from any public dumps/hacks try mail address / password combinations on the pool - after three not unsuccessful tries your account gets locked for security reasons.

I've updated https://xmr.suprnova.cc to the latest version (0.10.1.0) and just wanted to point out that it's a very easy migration, no resync needed, no long rescanning or so.. Very pleasant upgrade. I don't think you're on IRC, so you might have missed this: https://paste.fedoraproject.org/506116/1711682This is a change needed to the pool software itself to support RingCT (from the 9th of january or so). You seem to be using a custom pool so it might be more complicated than just applying the patch though. Hmm this paste has been hidden Which irc BTW?

Hey Till, happy new year !
|
|
|
You guys are a bunch of dumb asses. They already mentioned that they're on holiday right now. If I had to speculate I would say something about New Years. Most people have that off in the US that and weekends. If you have a good job you have a couple days before and after, sometimes the entire week between Christmas and New Years.
If they don't release their source in like a week or so that'll be different. Coming in here is like listening to a bunch of ignorant, uninformed, old ladies gossiping back and forth with each other.
You call people children and you then proceed to act exactly like that, spoiled at that. If this proves true I really don't think you guys understand what you're doing by shit talking people who literally have fed you +400% hashrate on Nvidia hardware. 90sols on Silentarmy v5 to 360sols stock on EQM .4 (390 on .5 if, when they release that). Even if it's not entirely true, the competition between EWBF and EQM has driven hashrates up quite a bit.
Nvidia doesn't have a Claymore. We don't have a long term development team, often times it's hobbyists like SilentArmy. Discouraging people from working in this field and specifically on this hardware is a really, really bad idea. This is disgusting.
I don't disrespect NH, far from it, i think they're great and did alot for mining in general. If i read my posts, i wasn't insulting in any way. Just trying to understand here, and give opinions. What i don't like is how they managed this situation, if they were in holidays, why dropping a bomb like this right now ? Why not wait the new year when everyone is back from holidays, and @ full force , and ready to make their cases ? Leaving us in the dark does only one thing, make this situation fester in a bad way, and making us see only "big company wanting to take down the little guy for doing a good job", if they're right i'll be 1000% behind them. But for now i'll leave the benefit of the doubt to EWBF because there is nothing concrete on their part. And if you're objective bensam, you'll see we're not making free rants, it's based on valid points. (well at least that's how i see myself doing things). I saw too many of those situations to not be wary. We aren't talking about Claymore OCminer. Ah.. lol.. yes.. "EWBF"

I strongly doubt claymore would steal from eqm Optimizations nowadays are not as easy as at the beginning so, yes, they're probably similar
