1741  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which one is your most favorite alternative to Preev.com? on: November 23, 2022, 12:20:30 AM
Yes.

Nothing I can do, Preev is back, but I still keep developing mine.

Recently I saw your ad! You are now advertising through AdWords? Why are you spending without any revenue mechanism?
Why not? Not everything in this world is about money. There is plenty of projects which are made for community to use which aren't commercial. But probably it's not worth to put much effort int website and don't get many visits, so probably this is why he decided to advertise. And as he said in one post, his budget is small, it means that he don't spend thousands of $ for advertising without getting revenue.
Though, persoanlly I would try monetize website to cover expenses at least partially, but he probably know what he is doing.

We're still finding our feet here, and we'll test to see what you like and don't like. Hope you're having fun so far.
It's fun so far indeed. I'm not sure how it would work for league with 38 rounds, maybe I would become bored evntually, but short tournament like World Cup it's perfect. I have 3/5 correct predictions so far, so I guess it's not great, not terrible.

On the other hand you have Qatar that had their whole national team together for 5 months and were by far the worst team that played so far.
Today commentators said that Saudi Arabia stopped their league somewhere in September, they had lot of time to prepare. And as we saw, it helped for them. I guess that African and Asian federations had more freedom with their leagues than Europe, when to stop it and start preparation for World Cup.
1744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: November 22, 2022, 11:45:22 PM
Giroud now equals with Henry by scoring 51 goals for national team. He is simply perfect player for national team and I think that he is underrated a bit too much. France won comfortable, despite conceding first. Simply better team won.
It's already lot of said about Argentina loss, but Saudi Arabia coach is genius or idiot to play with such defense line against Argentina. And when Argentina conceded 2 goals in few minutes, it looked that they weren't ready for such scenario and didn't knew what to do.
Not much what to say about Tunisia - Denmark game, it was boring and Denmark looked disappointing.
Mexico - Poland. Guillermo Ochoa  appears once in 4 years during World Cup and becomes best goalkeeper in the world for few weeks. He did it again today. While Lewandowski still have 0 Wordl Cup goals in his career.

I read that he has a broken jaw and a shattered bone in his face, as well as internal bleeding. It was shared in a Whatsapp group so am unaware of the source, but apparently he is already in Germany, where he has to do reconstructive surgery.
A private jet was organized by Mohammed bin Salman - the new Newcastle owner.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt before it's officially confirmed, but this guy is usually spot on with his info.

Hope the guy will be OK, really a horrible way to end the tournament after such a performance.
That collision was really scary. If it's not fake, here is how his jaw looked after x-ray scan. And I think that everything is ended good for him, there was big risk to be killed or become disabled in such collisions.
1745  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Ongoing Coinbase phishing attack and other exchanges on: November 22, 2022, 10:23:24 AM
When I sometimes look at my spam folder in email, it looks like Coinbase phishing spam never ends. I get similar emails at least few times every month. And I don't even use Coinbase for at least 5 years, my acciunt is already closed long time ago.
But as shown in your post, sometimes scammers is getting very smart and unfortunately some people have no idea about it and falling into these trap.
1746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday (BBF) on: November 22, 2022, 12:20:26 AM
I already thought about Bitcoin Black Friday and despite what's going on in markets, I still would like to spend some BTC. Agree with post above, buying hardware wallets from unoffcial sellers maybe isn't best idea, but other stuff - why not? Personally for me it's most interesting to find deals for hosting and VPN.
Last year I made list of Black Friday deals. If I will find time, I will try to do it again.
1747  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: November 22, 2022, 12:04:47 AM
If you think about it, Ukraine really hasn't captured anything in a real fight.  Yes, they re-occupied areas that the Russians didn't want any more or where just decoys strategically, and of course the Ukroids/Western sponsors made a big deal about it in their pathetic sort of low-grade propaganda way, but I cannot think of anything of significance that they flat out won in Bakmud-style hard combat.

Latest word is that Ukraine themselves are evacuating Kherson after figuring out the hard way which was pretty obvious to every thinking person; It's a loser at this point in time and will be as long as Russia can easily destroy anything which moves on the West Bank and will likely do so for quite some time.  And, of course, if anyone destroys the dam the whole place is wiped clean as though by the wrath of God.

One reason Ukraine might be abandoning Kherson City is that they might be going to have another go at the dam in order to fuck with the water supply to Crimea, but it would be very NaZiocon to keep the population in place at gunpoint just because it's the kind of thing they do.  The Russians certainly knew that which is why the resettled the decent elements of the population before pulling out.
Stuff as usual. Even retreat of Russia is considered as win. Yeah, Russia left it just because they don't want to control it anymore. And Ukraine haven't played any role there. Everything was fine and here one day Russia decide to leave Kherson. Then why they made all these billboards with words ''Russia is here forever''. Same stuff about Kyiv and Kharkiv.
Ukraine evacuating Kherson - maybe it has something with fact that Russia while retreating left city without electricity, water and heating.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: November 21, 2022, 11:54:52 PM
I can't remember so much time added in all 3 games of day. I read that referees added something like 50 combined in all games.
Didn't had time to post anything during whole day, so I say few words about every game now. England 6:2 Iran. Maybe big England win isn't surprise, but it was difficult to expect so many goals. Also, I think not many expected that Iran will score twice.
Senegal - Netherlands. Until 80 minute Netherlands had 0 shots on target, but they managed to score 2 late goals. It's painful to concede so late, but in general, Netherlands were a bit better.
USA 1:1 Wales. Great game. Gareth Bale like always, showing his class while playing for national team  Cool

I'm curious to see how Denmark will line up - I have them as one of the dark horses.
I see thatthere is plenty of us have Denmark as black horses Smiley. While Mexico - Poland probably can't be called as final for both teams, despite thatthey just start tournament. If we consider that 1st place is reserved for Argentina and Saudi Arabia can't be seriously considered for place in 2nd round. So, it's like fight for 2nd place.
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: November 21, 2022, 10:24:19 AM
With all respect to Ecuador, I think that real World Cup starts today. Things what we saw yesterday wasn't World Cup level football.
England vs Iran, I think it's question not about England will win or no, but how many goals they will score. USA - Wales, it's a bit strange that USA is a bit favoured by bookmakers, I think a bit different. Though, don't reall know what to expect from USA.
And Senegal - Netherlands. It's sad that Mane won't play in World Cup, otherwise it would be very interesting game. Now I'm confident about Nethlerlands win.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 20, 2022, 09:44:10 PM
Interesting thing outside Big 3 (Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari), only onedriver from other teams managed to reach podium during whole season - it's Lando Norris. After few seasons when we had teams like Alpine, Alpha Tauri, Mclaren reaching podium and even getting wins, it looks a bit weird. But it shows that Big 3 had huge gap from other teams.
Really wanted to see Perez reaching Leclerc and overtaking him, but he was just too slow and didn't managed to get into DRS zone. Good to see that Vettel managed to get point in last race, despite that their strategy wasn't got and it happened only thanks to Lewis retirement.

Verstappen won 15 of the 22 races. Is anyone ever going to beat that record again? Certainly at the beginning of the season, no one saw that coming. At the beginning of the season, Leclerc was still able to catch up, but after that it was over for Ferrari. It's a pity for Perez that he didn't manage to get 2nd place, otherwise he would have also taken 2nd place in the general classification. All in all, a supsr season for Red Bull, and let's hope that next season will be a lot more exciting and that Hamilton can also participate in the title fight.

I think it will be very hard for any one to try and break this record as someone needs to win 16 races out of 20-23 that one season will have. This can only happen in a season like that of 2009 where Brawn GP won almost every race of that season and the car was clearly better than any other and Jenson Button made great profit and won himself a super easy title back in that year. Now the competition is much bigger, there are much better drivers than there were in the year 2009 so it will be extremely difficult if not possible to break this record that Verstappen just put right now.
I'll correct you. IIRC, Brawn GP won most race only in the first half of season. In second part they won just few races and there was quite a lot different race winners then.
I wouldn't be surprised if Verstappen's result will be beaten. Maybe by himself. It's needed that one team would have car which completely dominate against others. It looked that Schumaher's 91 wins record won't be beatean never, but such things become possible when we have such long seasons like 23-24 races. In past there was something like 18 races during whole season.
1751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the world cup affect the Russia and Ukraine fight? on: November 20, 2022, 09:24:31 PM
With the launch of the Russian military campaign against Ukraine, protests took place in many Russian universities and regions, but the Russian police apparatus of repression met them with violence and intimidation. Journalists were arrested because they only published reports or mentioned during their statements the Russian war on Ukraine, and those who did not languish in prisons paid sins and signed commitments not to repeat this under the pretext that this incites citizens to hate.
Even if there were Russians who supported the invasion of Ukraine, I think they retracted their opinion after the wave of sanctions that affected their country.
There were protests, but it wasn't massive thing. Few thousands people in whole country protesting probably can't reflect opinion of majority. Yes, you can say that majority remain silent because they're afraid to get arrested, but when you look at things which are going on in Iran, it's only excuses. Probably risk to protest in Iran is bigger than in Russia, but people still do it.
Sanctions? It has smaller influence than majority expected. I hate to say, but I think that Europe is more affected by their own sanctions than Russia. And unfortunately, some sanctions is easily bypased.

First of all, thank you guys for making this pool and offcourse Sportsbet for supporting it. Considering that you made it just few days before the season, getting 12 participants isn't bad after all. I hope that next season we will have more. When I joined, I didn't knew what to expect, it's completely different from predicting football results. But I'm glad that I took part here.
Second, congrats to winners. Two top places getting same number of points after whole season, it's something similar like fight between Leclerc and Perez for 2nd place Cheesy.
Also, very happy to win yellow cap 2nd race in a row.
Hope to see you all guys next season.

have to say that I exoected a bit more from Qatar, they are hosts and fight till the end should be their prime motivation, quality is obviously lacking
Can't say that I had big expectations about Qatar, but I expected something better than they showed today. Especially in the first half, it looked like they don't know what they're doing in World Cup. And it's strange, considering that they had longest preparation, compared with other teams. Meanwhile Ecuador didn't showed nothing amazing today. They scored 2 goals and it was enough for them.

I wonder why don't the fifa bracket let you select the 3rd and 4th place, not even as a tie breaker. It is still an official world cup game, after all
Really? I think it was something wrong on your side because I was able toselect 3rd place and then 4th place got filledautomatically.
1754  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the world cup affect the Russia and Ukraine fight? on: November 20, 2022, 12:07:03 PM
Given that both Russia and Ukraine are at war, it was unfair to exclude Russia from the World Cup and invite Ukraine. FIFA would have kept politics out of football. But it is the past, and Russia is now being punished for invading. We shouldn't disregard Putin's words. (NO RUSSIA NO WORLD CUP)
We still have a few hours until the World Cup; would Putin's threats come true? Oh, I'm afraid. Putin is hardly a man to laugh with, after all.
WTF did you wrote? Who invited Ukraine to World Cup to replace Russia? Open list of World Cup participants and show me Ukraine. They haven't qualified because they lost to Scotland. And Russia actually weren't removed from World Cup, they got removed from qualifiers. There is no guarantee that they would had qualified, as they had to beat Poland first and then Sweden.
So, contnue posting nonsense Wink
1755  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will the world cup affect the Russia and Ukraine fight? on: November 19, 2022, 11:22:05 PM
Following the same logic, we should enmity the people of any country that is colonized by another. Politics has never been a true expression of the will of the people, as evidenced by the fact that many Russians reject the war on Ukraine, and this was proven during the call-up of reservists, many of whom fled to neighboring countries, and others were sued for refusing to join the service in the war.

If any party is to be punished in this way, then it would be better for Iran to be deprived of joining the global patrols against the backdrop of its nuclear project, against which the whole world stands. America, too, could have been punished in the same way during its war on Iraq.
That we deal with Russian players or Russian citizens who do not have a political identity does not mean that we are supportive of Russia's war on Ukraine or that we are negligent with Ukraine.

Wars in the world will not end, and sporting events must be neutralized from all forms of conflict.
Reality that majority of people in Russia support war in Ukraine You say that people who fled away to other countries reject war. But they left Russia to avoid getting mobilized. If they would be against war, they would had protested when this war started.
Sports always been mixed with politics, especially in Russia. It would be simply not fair to let them play in Wolrd Cup, like nothing didn't happened. It's called collective responsibility. Whole population of Russia is responsible for decisions of their politics, who were selected by majority of votes.
1756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: November 19, 2022, 11:11:18 PM
Important question who will be driver of the day in the last race - Vettel or GOATifi? With all respect to GOAT, I hope that it will be Seb. And it would be nice if he will finish in points tomorrow. But damn, time flies so fast. For me it looks that he started not that long time ago, I still remember his first win with Toro Rosso like it was yesterday.

what happens if they will end with the same amout of points?
That's good question. I'm not 100%, but I think that then they will look at h2h results of Perez and Leclerc. Something similar when they decide who will be above when multiple drivers have 0 points.

A very good starting position for Perez to win the runner-up title. Verstappen won't let Perez pass or anything like that, you just have to hope that Verstappen and Perez don't have an accident...
Max ambitions is one thing, but I don't beleive that Brazil scenario will repeat. It because Red Bull simply need that Perez would deliver 2nd place and I think that they had serious talk with Verstappen about it.
1757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's FIFA World Cup 22 Prediction Pool Discussion thread on: November 19, 2022, 10:34:28 PM
Just made prediction for the first game and filled bracket challenge. Tried to do without emotions and use logic. So, I got Brazil winning it, though, it's not my preferred tam. But starting with 1/4 finals, most games will be without favorites and predicting it is pure luck.
Usually when it comes to decisive games we have Europe vs South America. Does anyone expect that teams from other continents can get involved into it? Personally, I expect same stuff again, maybe 1-2 teams outside Europe/S. America reaching 1/8 final and getting eliminated there.

back to England, easy group, but afterwards can be difficult, looking at their draw, important for them to be on top, and for all other groups in upper part, for favorites to finish on top, after QF, every team is strong enough to be hard to knock-out
I already see hype in England after beating Iran and USA - It's coming home. But I expect that their path will end in 1/4 final. When you look at teams like Brazil, France, Argentina or Spain, it looks that England simply don't have material to pass through these team.

So, I submitted my answers, hope that everything is fine. Don't know what to expect, but questions weren't easy and required some time to answer. But fact that World Cup is in the middle of season and teams didn't had much preparation, like friendly games makes predicting even more difficult. After all, it's luck, like predicting exact score.

Benzema is a bad luck for the national team, he is a world class player, but Giroud brings more luck to the team, he creates space and improves everyone around him. I hope Deschamp does not repeat his error from Euro 2020. Mbappe, Giroud, and Griezmann play well together.

I like the way Denmark plays and I'm still counting on them to progress further than England, Portugal. They play really nice football.
Denmark is my black horses of tournament. Not sure that they will go further than England, I hope yes. Football that they're playing is great to watch and they got good group. Maybe Nations League isn't best indicator, but we saw that they're capable to win against France, so, 1st place in the group isn't mission impossible for them.

EDIT it seems that Benzema got injured and will have to miss World Cup  Sad
1760  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Ukraine win the war with NATO's covert assistance? on: November 17, 2022, 09:41:47 PM
NATO countries spending huge part of their defense budget to supply weapons to Ukraine. But it's not enough. For counter offensive operation they need long range missiles, but NATO isn't giving as they don't want "escalate conflict". Ukraine is liberating occupied territories, but it's not going as fast they want want and it costs too many lifes of their soldiers. Also, they need much more air defense systems. Currently they managed to shhot down something like 70%-80% of Russian missiles and drones. It looks like good numbers, but remaining 20-30% is making huge damage to their infrastructure.
Also, big part of arms that they get is soviet tanks, jets or very old howitzers and armored vehicles. Offcourse, it's better than nothing.

Mistakes happens but with all these weapons been sent to Ukraine by Poland, and with this Poland strike, is it really coming from Ukraine by accident?
Who's to blame for all these, Russia or Ukraine?
Things are really getting complicated...
Do you want to say that they did it intentionally? What would be point of it? Involve NATO into this war directly? I don't believe in such version.
Ukraine still believes that it was Russian missile and they want to participate in investigation of accident.
Even if was Ukrainian missile, most blame still goes to Russia. As Scholz said, "it's clear that this would not have happened without the Russian war against Ukraine, without the rockets which are constantly, in large numbers fired at Ukrainian infrastructure":
