1021  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Submarine missing ^Titanic disaster 2023 on: June 25, 2023, 06:30:25 PM
From what I read, even prior that accident there was many red flags and security concerns on this ship and even some incidents before. But Titan operated in international waters and didn't had to follow any regulations. Otherwise, I doubt that someone would allowed to make this expedition.
But I think that all members of crew understood about risks and still decided to buy one way ticket for $250k. If to look for something positive, at least they didn't suffered as everything happened so fast that they didn't felt anything. Better than waiting until oxygen will run out.
Agree with some comments above about world reaction. People are such hypocrites - few billionaires died, yes, it's tragedy, but not something why whole world should mourn. While few weeks ago in Greece waters refugee ship sank, almost 80 people lost their lifes, but nobody gives a fuck about it.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: June 24, 2023, 11:36:38 PM
as far as I saw, nobody commented on new/old La Liga member Alaves, scoring in 135 minute of second match in Levante from penalty spot, after both teams playing almost 240 minutes (with additions) in two matches without scoring goals - in case no goals, Levante would proceed due to being placed better in regular time
similar outcome to Calcio play-off between Bari and Cagliari, away time winning in overtime, while home tried to secure a draw
I watched that game and ending of it was a bit crazy. First I have no idea why commenator was saying that Levante would get promoted if 2nd leg would 0:0 too and game wouldn't go to penalties. I would say that's a bit strange rule. That penalty was decided by VAR review and I would say that for me that wasn't 100% penalty that would be awarded every time in other ocassions. Really wanted to see return of Levante, missing them in La Liga, but Alaves isn't bad team too and have some interesting players to watch.

So, seems that circus is over, Prigozhin ordered Wagner convoy to turn back and return to their camps. Lukashenko says that Prigozhin accepted his proposal after some negotiations, criminal case against Prigozhin also was dropped.
So, does it means that Putin reached agreement with terrorists and things will go on like nothing didn't happned. I just remind that during this rebellion Russian army lost six helicopters, transport plane and somehwere 10-15 troops.
Probably this photo summarizes things that happened in last 24 hours best:

BTW seems that this my post didn't aged badly and now it really looks like staged shit:
I have no idea how everything will end, maybe this story will have boring outcome, but my popcorn is ready.

Are you claiming Chechnya attacking Russia now and they are on the verge of taking Moscow?
Wagner is made up of private mercenary's from around the world and a lot of them are Chechen.
Can you please slow down, i need to breath
What!? Are you not confusing something. Where did you got that there is lot Chechens in Wagner group. BTW, while Wagner almost reached Moscow, chechen Kadyrovites who was ready to fight with Wagner still didn't reached Rostov.

Back to war in Ukraine, it looks that Ukraine for the first time so far liberated territory that was occupied since 2014, it happened nearby to Krasnohorivka:

1024  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 24, 2023, 04:20:14 PM
Wagner already went through Lipetsk oblast, Tula oblast and some sources says that they already reached Moscow oblast, though, no comfirmation about it yet. What it looks strange that they are moving without any resistance. Where is glorious Russian army, why we don't see them? So far we mainly saw Rosgvardia who only can fight against peaceful protests, police and some KAMAZ trucks and tractors blocking roads.
Everything looks so strange that I can't believe that's really happening. One thought can't leave my mind that whole this thing can be staged, but why they would need it, I have no idea.
Saw good joke about Russian army:
2021 - 2nd army in the world
2022 - 2nd army in Ukraine
2023 2nd army in Russia.
1025  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 23, 2023, 11:45:33 PM
Unless Prigozhin says "I was hacked, sorry, ignore the shit I posted", that'd be boring.
From what we saw already, it would be very difficult to believe that he was hacked, it was deepfake or something. Now there is no way back for Prigozhin.
Telegram is full of posts about Wagner moving towards Rostov, they already crossed border between occupied part of Ukraine and Russia, but there is zero photos or videos, so, impossible to confirm or deny information.
There is another post where allegedly Prigozhin says that Russian air forces were ordered to open fire against convoy of Wagner

Interesting things happening in Russia today. Seems that conflict between Prigozhin and Ministry of Defense reached new level. Prigozhin accused Russian army for carying out strike against Wagner camp and result of it - ''huge number of cusalties. FSB already started criminal case against Prigozhin. Here is short summary of all his statements today:
https://meduza.io/en/feature/2023/06/23/wagner-s-march-of-justice
General Surovikin made video statement with riffle in his hands, asking Prigozhin and Wagner to stop what they're doing
https://t.me/rusbrief/129028
Meanwhile armored vehicles were noticed in Rostov and Moscow. And seems that they started blocking roads in Rostov:

I have no idea how everything will end, maybe this story will have boring outcome, but my popcorn is ready.
1027  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Can we ever have this again in 2023? on: June 23, 2023, 07:55:40 PM
You should feel difference between Gavin Andersen faucet and current faucets. This very first faucet was made to introduce Bitcoin to people. And that 5 BTC was worthless basically and you was able to mine such amount easy with your own PC.
Current faucets is attempt to make some kind of business - get revenue from advertisements. But best times of faucets already passed few years ago. Now it's more or less dead and I doubt that it will become great again one day.
1028  Other / Meta / Re: fillippone merited thread need more support of merit source. on: June 22, 2023, 09:32:16 AM
Let's force all the merit sources to open their own merit distribution thread, let's force all users to posts for only earn merits, let's make the Beginners & Help and Reputation sections filled of "[insert merit source name] merited thread" where it will be bounty v2.0 section since every users just report their good posts.

There's no point to hoard sMerit, but it doesn't mean all merit sources need to force themselves to always distribute all of their sMerit.
I agree with you, I don't think that every merit source should distribute their merits in such artificial way. If some members are doing it, it doesn't mean that we should force everyone to do it.
IMO, it's ok when few are doing it, but if everyone would start doing same, there would be more harm than good.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: June 21, 2023, 10:31:38 PM
Bernie Ecclestone and FIa said in the past that they will never introduce a double manufacturer for the tires.
IT is a big safety problem having 2 team building tires for creating an advantage for cars.

I think they will follow their rule and we will have only 1, Pirelli OR Bridgestone, and not AND.
I also don't believ that 2 tyre suppliers is possible thing. We already had 2 suppliers at the same time in past - Michelin and Bridgestone and it wasn't always good thing. Just remember contraversial Indinapolis GP in 2005
1030  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: June 21, 2023, 10:06:33 PM
Looks like deepfake video
This is also deepfake? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk3en-Qjm_I C'mon, just admit that another conspiracy theory blowed up like a bubble
BTW, if things told in this video is true is really concerning and again confirms that Russia is terrorist state.

Meanwhile, while Russians are claiming unconfirmed kills, it admits to its own losses. This time confirmed.

Russia has confirmed the death of the Chief of Staff of the 35th Army of the Armed Forces, Major General Sergei Goryachev in Ukraine.

Strange, according to Russian logic, Ukraine's counteroffensive failed completely, but their major gneral somehow got eliminated
1031  Other / Meta / Re: Easiest way I can remove Wasabi recommendations from all of my past posts? on: June 21, 2023, 08:33:27 PM
Maybe I'm missing something, but what's exactly wrong with Wasabi wallet, I didn't hear anything. Can you give some context?
As already posted above, you can find all posts with key word in automated way, but you will have to edit it manually. Well, it's good that there is not that many posts you made.

There are rumors that Mihailo Podoliak is next.
Don't want to disappoint you, but Budanov is alive, he is doing fine and sending some greetings:

Podolyak is next? Maybe, but this joke was fun first two times, now it's getting boring.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 20, 2023, 10:39:04 PM
Only thing that I can say about Poland today - Kurwa mac ja pierdole. How you can let mighty Moldova to win when you're leading game 0:2. And now they even let Moldova ahead on the table.
Iceland - Portugal, I already didn't believed that Portugal will score. But it's simply impossible that Ronaldo won't score when he become first player in the world to play 200 games for his national team. That record and dramatic goal on last minutes - perfect scenario.
I'm not really sure that Luxembourg win against Bosnia can be called as big upset. It's enough to look at clubs of Luxembourg players and you will understand that's good team. And seems that they're going to give fight for spot in EURO.
1034  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the most recognised celebrations in your country? on: June 20, 2023, 10:25:16 PM
I won't mention anything new - Christmas, New Year, Easter, 1st of May, Mother's day, Father's day, Independence day (in our country we have two different dates, one on 16th February and another on 11th March), Coronation day.
From most countries we have one difference - All Saint's day on 1th of November. On this day we visit cemetery and remember our family members, relatives and friends who passed away.
I would say that Christmas, New Year and Easter is most important days in my country.

From what i've heard, Easter is quite big in Russia. I supposed it's pretty big in religious communities in Finland too, but not that big of a deal. Christmas however must be the biggest, and it's celebrated by non-religious as well. We used to have a law keeping all shops closed in Christmas day, but these days they are allowed to be open, most of them are not though.

Right after that is New Years day, which OP didn't even mention, in here it's celebrated by everyone.

Then there are Vappu (may day), which is traditionally celebrating worker's rights with parades and university students. Eve of may day involves heavy drinking and partying, next day marches and picnics.

Independence Day, for general public is celebrated quite quietly. In their own homes, there are some ceremonies obviously and change to feel all patriotic But mostly everyone has their own traditions for that. Like watching the movie "unknown soldier" from tv and independence day reception by president of Finland. Speeches and such.

And my personal favourite is Juhannus. Most people are staying awake whole night as sun doesn't set and people are dancing, burning bonfires, drinking and swimming, usually in their own cabins and bathing in their own saunas. Cities are quite empty and silent in Juhannus.
Seems that some things in Finland is close to my country. We also have holiday on 1st May, but I wouldn't say that people celebrate it much, they more spend like usual weekend.
And Midsummet is quite big thing in Lithuania too. Here it's called Joninės or John's Day in English and celebrations here is very similar.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 20, 2023, 10:08:51 AM
I have to say, the quality of football in Europe when it comes to national teams is kind of low. There's so much gap between the big teams and the small teams. In Europe you'll see teams like San Marino, Luxemburg, Gibraltar and co that have had only a couple of wins in like 2 years. Foot in Europe should have gone beyond that level. Europe is like the center of football an things like this shouldn't be so frequent.
Something like this cannot be possible in South America. There are big teams and there are small teams, but that doesn't mean the small team doesn't stand a chance against the giant team.
C'mon man, it's not right to compare South America and Europe. They have just 1 teams, while in UEFA qualifiers 53 teams are playing. In Europe smallest countries like Gibraltar, San Marinon or Faroe Islands have populations just about 30-40 thousands people, something like small city. It's physically impossible for them to have strong football teams because their populations is such small and most of these players aren't fully professional and working regular jobs daily.
While in South America Uruguay have smallest population which is over 3.4 million. Feel the difference?

Oh man how I hate DOTA!
~snip

as I already said, I am taking that as a handicap, cannot do research, just luck on that question
but overall, this round will be luck based, with U21 football, NBA draft, Dota and Tennis on grass surface, there is no point to do research a lot
I went with completely random answer in DOTA question just not to get penalty. It's pointless for to try make research about because I have no clue about esports, completely.
It's true that many questions is luck based this week - youth football is often comes with surprises and tennis on grass is always difficult to predict, not like clay or hard.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: June 19, 2023, 11:07:20 PM
https://youtube.com/shorts/PKs7v6Ti2e0?feature=share  - what do you think? Does things are really like this, or this is just a compilation to get emotions, comments ? I know that we can easily find  non-sport behaviour from men football players, but I wonder what is the % rate of such cases in women and men football in general.

It's more of a sensational compilation than anything else.

I haven't been following much, but from what I've seen, the women's games, the players are very respectful of the rules. More than that of men.

The biggest difference in the game, I think, is the game speed, which ends up moving at a slightly lower pace.
Maybe I don't watch that much women football, but I think that their football is less dirty than men and this video don't show reality. I don't have stats, but from what I saw, there is much less yellow cards shown.
There is another big difference - hight of players. For women goalkeepers it's difficult to reach high balls. And despite that level increased a lot in recent years, you still can see plenty of wird goals and mistakes that happens only in women football. Let's take this year Champions league final - highest possible level. If you will watch highlights, you will understand what I'm talking about.
1038  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign post quota on: June 19, 2023, 10:49:16 PM
But on a second thought, it could also mean that ChipMixer had already paid for those 21k+ posts. So, posts in the past are already paid. I am just reasoning from the both sides of my brain Grin
They already paid for these 21k posts, but these old posts continue to get visibility. Let's take one of popular topics that LoyceV made as example. You can try to imagine how many people visit such topics and see sginature ad in opening post. Or people who come to Bitcointalk from Google search results, they also see advertisment. So, advertiser for these posts once, but he get benefits from it in long term.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: June 19, 2023, 10:36:03 PM
As we discussed before, Kazakhstan were understimated without a reason and they won against Northern Ireland away. In other game Finland achieved 6:0 win against San Marino and now are leading group together with Kazakhstan, while Denmark is just 3rd. But it's to early to make conclusions.
Turkey pushed really hard, it took them for a while to score, but their win against 10 men Wales is deserved. Belarus won against Kosovo a bit unexpected and it's their 1st win in more than 2 years. While Kosovo also failing to win official games for a while.
I didn't expected that North Macedonia will cause problems for England, but it was difficult to see 70:0 coming, after all this team played in EURO 2020 Israel struggled against Andorra and won just 2:1. Believe it or not, but Andorra scored a goal 3rd game in a row.

Head of Ukraine intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov death
Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi,  deserted to a foreign country
So, first they made conspiracy theory that Zaluzhny is dead or heavy injured. But when it become clear that he is OK, Russia comes with another cheap fake that he run away from Ukraine.
And now Budanov dead, c'mon...
