I didn't keep track of the competition but when I was watching it, this name 'MalteseFalcon' was not there. Did he suddenly wake up and wager $80 million overnight to win $250k? Whatever, congrats to him on such big win. I wish I could wager even 1/10000 of his wager.  No one knows except himself and Stake. I did not see his name as well few days back when the leader was a hidden username with more than $45million if I remember it correctly. Who knows if he was one of the hidden usernames then he decided to set the private off to show his name before the race end? There can be some speculation, but it is not that important thing imho. No matter he did it overnight or in just few hours, he did it very well although we do not know whether he is in positive or negative while wagering that $80 million. So does it mean that 'MalteseFalcon' was from the Stake team who suddenly pops up right at the end to win the competition. I am not accusing stake right now but it seems that something fishy is going on here. But then if the stake wanted to manipulate the competition they could have keep the name hidden till the end. It must have been some sort of whale who wager $80 million  Nah, Stake has made a lot of money from 1000s of people wagering it out to get into the top 5000 for that race. The highrollers like Syztmz tried his best to be on top, but a well known player like MalteseFalcon held his money back to the end and just edged past the #1 and #2 and won the race. The $250 000 for the first position and the other 4999 prizes, will not make up for what some of these players had to wager to get to the top 5000 players. (I think most people did not even profit from the rewards they got)  For rest of the gamblers they've got a small reward for their regular wagering, other than the lucky numbers 1777, 2777, 3777, 4777 and four more lucky pick. In the event of wagering more people might've lost big, but what they got is little. It means for 1000+ on the table receives just $30 wager 80 million+ and you can lose more than everyone that won $30 combined |

By any metric, BLM riots were worse, but that's excused because it was for Saint George Floyd. Rioting is BAD no matter if you're rioting for a fentanyl junkie dying in police custody, or if you're trying to storm the US capitol based on false notions of election fraud. Presidential hits, world wars, terrorist attacks, and the capitol riots were not worst attack on democracy and the capital riots were? Funny. If Joe Biden says stupid things, don't cover for him. What are those sportsbooks that you played and they compensated such lost opportunity every maintenance that they do? sounds weird but I don't think it's necessary. That's normal to see casinos have their own maintenance time just as the other online services that we use. But defining lost opportunity, it's quite hard to say that a user has lost one just because of it. WHen you have 10 min or 1 hour reloads it's quite easy to define lost opportunity. For example, if you had $15 reloads every hour, and stake was down for 4 hours, you missed out on claiming $60. |

The point of the Jan 6 attack was to stop congress from certifying the result of the election, the foundation of our democracy - on the capital, during a joint session while the VP was present. Most people here get 10 minute reloads, we have 3 hours of downtime after thousands of dollars lost and shitty returns the very least is they can bonus us what we missed. Post on twitter also, if Stake is a honorable book they will make this right.
Why should Stake reward it's customers when there are maintenance? The maintenance is done to improve the long-term experience of the user. (reducing errors / improving security / reducing lag etc.) Will your Bank give you a bonus into your Bank account when their systems are down for maintenance? It is inevitable that sites will go down, once in a while, so we should not demand something when that happens.  Let's hope these changes and updates will improve our gaming experience.  Most reasons players try and get handouts after site lags or goes down are bs, but missing reloads for a few hours if you're on hourly or 10 minutes (I'm on daily) seems like something reasonable to ask about compensation for. If your banks system goes down you're still going to get paid whatever interest rate was agreed on. |

This is not a good way to grow the economy. The additional taxes will force investors to use a higher discount rate when making investment decisions. This will lead to less money being invested into businesses, including wages for employees. This is not just for gains on bitcoin by the way, it is for all investment gains, long term and short term. The Dems don't want to grow the economy. They want to make it hostile to everyone save for the billionaires and multinational corporations they serve. The Dems are communists. The only thing they want is a bigger government. Bigger government means smaller corporations. Bien is not just trying to tax gains on bitcoin, but gains on all long term investments. Interestingly, he is not calling for an increase in taxes on kickbacks to corrupt politicians. Capital gains are already taxable. I don't think he's proposing anything be taxed that wasn't already taxed. And the capital gains tax increase proposal is only for those that make over $1m a year. (With the ability to offset your profit with losses from previous years.) Clearly, not the picture OP is trying to paint with thread title. Interestingly, he is not calling for an increase in taxes on kickbacks to corrupt politicians.
Kickbacks are illegal. Since they're illegal, they aren't taxable. Since they aren't taxable, there is no tax rate. Since there's no tax rate, I'm surprised you find it interesting that the President hasn't called for a tax rate increase. |
