The problem with the 2020 presidential elections is not the election manipulation so much as the greatness of it. When you look at the 2020 rallies, Trump had many times the followers appearing than any other candidate across the board.

Even your average Trumptard is too intelligent to make this argument in good faith.  You have to be pretty dumb to believe it when you first hear it, and incredibly weak minded to not eventually realize how stupid of an argument it is.
922  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump for prison. on: September 07, 2022, 09:34:18 PM
^^^ They really don't have an answer. The few documents that Trump had under lock and key, are nothing compared to the docs and other criminal activities that Obama's doing even today.

Cool

He actually stole thousands of government documents, over 300 of them were classified.
923  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unprecedented political raid on Trump/Redacted affidavit/etc. on: September 07, 2022, 03:33:54 PM
Did I miss anything?

- The pope was arrested.
- Republicans will never lose another election because all the democrats will die from the vaccine.
- Germs aren't real.

It's good that Trump had all those documents. How else is a President supposed to run the country from outside the Oval Office?

Cool

The fact that he was in possession of these documents demonstrates that he is not fit to hold ANY political office.

Never mind his linguistic gaffes every time he opens his mouth.

And if it's confirmed these documents are what the Washington Post is claiming (and they seem pretty confident) , then all the idiots screaming about how "ThEy wErE dEcLasIfIeD!"  some how look like even bigger idiots.
924  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Trump audit should prohibit him from running in 2024. on: September 07, 2022, 08:34:23 AM
Lets be honest about the documents that are related to "nuclear" secrets. They are almost certain to be communications between him and NK leader Kim Jung Un. There are no other documents that Trump has any reason to want to keep that are related to "nuclear" secrets.

Looks like some of the documents that the FBI found in Trumps home (after the certified statement that all documents had been returned) were about "a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities".

Also, "Some of the seized documents detail top-secret U.S. operations so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are kept in the dark about them. Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize other government officials to know details of these special-access programs"

https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/09/06/trump-nuclear-documents/

Seems like they were some pretty important documents, and not just love letters with a dictator that have sentimental value to Trump, don't you think?
925  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A Trump audit should prohibit him from running in 2024. on: September 05, 2022, 07:54:01 AM
Trump is the only reason Democrats have any hope for the midterms.  Any democrat vs Trump in 2024 is a gift when the alternative is someone like Desantis.
Exactly. The only reason why Biden gave the speech on Thursday while pretending to be Hilter, is to try to get Trump to announce he is running for President before the midterms in order to motivate the Democratic base to vote. This is also likely the reason for the raid on Trump's home.

Yes, it was a political speech.  Although I don't think Trump announcing he is running or not before the midterms will have as much of an effect as some seem to think.  It's all the wacko election denying "low quality" candidates he's endorsed that are keeping Democrats hopes alive.

Actually, I think the government just wanted Trump to return the documents he stole.  He probably wouldn't have gotten any trouble if he would've just given them back when he was first asked like a year ago.

The raid on Trumps house was because he stole thousands of government documents and then refused to give them back and lied about having them.
Its too bad that Trump has the unilateral authority to decide which documents are personal, and which documents are those of his administration (government property), and this is not something that is judicially reviewable. Are you suggesting that Trump intentionally decided that the documents that was brought to his home were government property, and intentionally took them? Trump also had the unilateral authority to decide which documents are declassified. It defies logic that Trump would take documents without first declassifying them.

So any document from the FBI, NSA, CIA, you think the president has the authority to just say "that's mine now, i'm taking it home with me to keep in my basement when I leave office"?

Is that seriously your argument?

Are you saying you honestly think that's something a US president has the right to do?  Or are you saying it's something Trump had the right to do because he's Trump and you can't really articulate why but when Trump does something it's not wrong and when someone that said something bad about Trump does something it's always wrong.

Imagine if he would've just taken ALLLLL the documents, made Biden start from scratch.  And he could leak info to his authoritarian friends and watch US spies get captured and tell his followers it's because Biden is too senile.   Wouldn't that be hilarious?  You'd totally believe it too.

Or, I know, he could black mail other foreign leaders with the dirt US intelligence has on them to help him make Biden look bad to help him not lose another election.

Just imagine...anyone that's president for 1 day = they win any government documents they want to take home with them and keep forever.

Makes total sense that that kind of power is a real thing.  It's so sad they are trying to take away Trumps rights like this.  Biden is so hitler.

926  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unprecedented political raid on Trump/Redacted affidavit/etc. on: September 05, 2022, 07:39:29 AM
i think this is the first time in decades that an ex-president's house has been raided by the fbi, it's also natural because trump brought a lot of classified documents into his private home, which is supposed to be in the national archives building... but the biden administration should have used it a more "friendly" move because after all trump is a former president and he should be respected regardless of the controversy

The National Archives asked him to return all documents.  He gave them 15 boxes.  They figured out he still had some.

DOJ subpoenaed him for all documents.

Trump invited them to come pick up the rest in Florida.  They gave them an envelope and a lawyer swore that was it, no more documents (but they wouldn't let them look in any of the boxes in his basement.

FBI gets search warrant, finds tons of documents in basement, and also in his desk.

Trump throws tantrum and feeds a bunch of bullshit about him fully cooperating and being a victim of the DOJ to his brain dead supporters.  They eat it up.

It took the current government all this time to even figure out that they were going to do something. They are on a fishing expedition, just to see if they can't somehow get something - anything - to stop Trump in 2024. They don't have any choice. If they don't stop him now, they are dead, and a bunch of them will be going to prison when Trump gets back in office.

Cool

History has shown that law enforcement personnel (FBI director, AG, etc) appointed by Republics are not as loyal to the party and President as those appointed by Democrats. For example, James Comey is clearly on the side of Democrats (he campaigned for them in 2018), Barr is on the side of the Constitution and the law, while Holder described himself as Obama's "wingman", and Garland is a political hack. I don't expect Wray to be any different than Comey. Further, many at the top of the FBI have a clear political bias.

The facts show Trump stole a ton of sensitive government records and refused to give them all back to the FBI voluntarily.
928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unprecedented political raid on Trump/Redacted affidavit/etc. on: September 05, 2022, 02:09:10 AM
The DOJ subpoenaed Trump to give the rest back.
It is certainly unusual for a search warrant to be used in a document dispute between a President and the national archives. Or in any document dispute. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate to have a court enforce the subpoena.

Bill Barr, Trumps Attorney General also thinks it's unusual, here's what he had to say:

“People say this was unprecedented, well, it’s also unprecedented for a president to take all this classified information and put them in a country club, okay?”

After returning more boxes his lawyer swore to the FBI that was all of them.  Then, some witnesses came forward and told the FBI that Trump had more boxes of classified documents in his basement and office.  Some of these documents contained information that would put the lives of US assets at risk.

Do you have a source for there being a credible witness coming forward and testifying as you describe? I know that you don't have a source regarding the contents of the allegedly classified information because the documents have not been made public. The affidavit was sufficiently redacted so that it is not possible to know what information the court actually relied upon when granting the search warrant.

I'm sharing with you what I think happened after reading the evidence.  Calm down Johnnie Cochran.

I think Trump

Basically, all or most of the things that Biden was calling out against active MAGA people, are things that he and his administration are and have been doing all along.

It's not just his administration though.  Pretty much everyone other than the Republicans that are too afraid (with good reason) to speak out, are against someone trying to be president despite losing the election.  It's kind of an important norm to maintain as a democracy.

Anyway, his general message has bipartisan support.   Trumptards can cry Hitler all they want, it won't change the fact that their dear leader is the one that tried to overthrow the government, and obviously has no regrets, not the guy they were claiming couldn't tie his shoes last week.

931  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Presidential address calls out the do-nothing Republicans. on: September 04, 2022, 07:00:39 AM
Went from the do-nothing Republicans to the semi-fascist Republicans in two generations.

Biden nailed the Nazi aesthetics. It's unfortunate that he had to walk back his comments today after his handlers told him that his remarks did not reflect too well: https://nypost.com/2022/09/02/biden-walks-back-attacks-on-trump-voters-in-anti-maga-speech/

Approval rating at 38%, so the logical step is to call 70 million voters fascists only to retract <24 hours later.

How many millions are the White House spending on democratic strategists only for them to come up with the monstrosity that will go down as Biden's worst Presidential address? I'd ask for a refund if I were them.

The pearl clutching over the way Biden called out MAGA Republicans is funny.

Do you guys really think you're going to convince anyone that you genuinely believe it was wrong for Biden to call out MAGA Republicans the way he did?  Because logically, you can't have an issue with how Biden attacked MAGA Repubs without having an even bigger issue with how Trump attacked Democrats.  Mainly because Biden has done it like once?  twice?  And what Biden said would be just a warm up for one of Trumps rants about totalitarian democrats that are trying to overthrow our democracy so they can control everything you do and be racist against whites.  And he does them pretty much any time he can get a crowd in front of him.

Quote
“Do you consider all Trump supporters to be a threat to this country?” a reporter asked Biden at the end of his only scheduled public remarks of the day.

“Come on, look, guys, you keep trying to make that case. I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country,” Biden said.

“I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence, fails to condemn violence when it is used, refuses to acknowledge when an election has been won, insists upon changing the way in which they can count votes, that is a threat to democracy.”

“So I am not talking about anything other than that it is inappropriate and it is not only happening here, but other parts of the world — the failure to recognize and condemn violence whenever it is used for political purposes, failure to condemn any attempt to manipulate election outcomes, failure to acknowledge when an election has been won or lost.”

And, in the end, Biden is right about the Republican party refusing to condemn the violence on Jan 6, and refusing to acknowledge the results of the election, and hey, don't forget - MAGA Republicans are fighting to get election deniers elected to local government positions so that they will be in a position to certify or not certify future federal elections.  On what planet is that not a textbook definition of "threat to democracy".

You understand, in reality, when it comes to who has stronger Facist/Authoritarian tendencies - Trump wins and it's not even close.  And not just against Biden.  Against any other President back to Washington.

Besides the former pictures of unsealed docs being fake, the real ones so far are kinda nothings.

Judge Unseals More Detailed Inventory of What FBI Seized From Mar-a-Lago

A federal judge on Friday unsealed more detailed inventory of what the FBI seized from Mar-a-Lago last month.

Judge Aileen Cannon, the Trump-appointed judge who is still deciding whether to appoint a special master to review the seized documents, unsealed more inventory.

The new inventory included clothing, magazine covers and news clippings.

The so-called 'classified' documents shown in the staged photo earlier this week were found alongside 43 empty folders marked classified.

How scandalous!

Empty folders.

ABC News reported:

A federal judge on Friday unsealed a more detailed inventory of what the FBI seized in the search of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate last month.

The judge, who is considering the Trump legal team's request to name a third party to review the materials, ordered the release in a court hearing in Florida Thursday.

...

Cool

That's funny.  The article is trying to say that because there were empty folders, there weren't also classified documents.  Takes a special kind of stupid to fall for these articles.

Here are the first 2 of 8 pages.  Notice how there are both empty folders and documents?

Parts of his speech are word for word quotes from Hitler. The irony of doing a speech about others destroying our republic while you literally quote Hitler is beyond shocking. If this was from a movie I would have thought it was too unbelievable. No way could you find people to actually support this idiocy is what I’d think. You can’t make this stuff up.

Which parts of his speech are word for word quotes from Hitler?

T r ump might have committed crimes. But he was someone who gave the slogan make America great again. I love him for that...

Well, it came out today that white house aides were responsible for packing up the classified information and placing it in mar-a-lago against Trump's direct orders.  He literally ordered them not to pack up the information and they did it anyway.  Now the democrats are trying to use this to smear Trump?  He literally said not to do it and they went against his orders.  I don't even need to look into what party the aides were affiliated with to know what happened here.  Our country is under attack and everybody is worried about what bathrooms to use.

He ordered them not to pack his shit because he wasn't planning on leaving the White House even though he knew he lost the election to Biden.

But hey, ok, you don't think Trump should be held responsible for the stolen classified documents that ended up at his home in Florida more than a year after leaving office.  What about refusing to return them to the government when asked?  He obviously knew he had them since he claimed he declassified them.

What about refusing to return them when subpoenaed?

What about lying and saying he did return them all when he didn't?

What about the 48 empty folders that were recovered without the classified documents that were on the label?

Is there anything Trump could do that you wouldn't defend and argue that he's a victim?

Quote

Ummm...you don't seriously think Trumps aids were democrats do you?  Jesus.

The president chooses who works in the White House while they are in office.

"Democrats packed up classified documents and shipped them to Trumps house in florida against his will so he's innocent, the democrats framed him" has to be one of the dumbest arguments I've come across since the FBI recovered the stolen documents.  And there have been some very dumb arguments.  Just so many layers of stupid when you look at the actual facts.

The reality is that if there were a reasonable argument, you'd be parroting it back right now.  But there isn't. So all you have are gems like this one.

While those who defend pedophiles, sympathize with wannabe extortionists, and can't even make long enough posts to get paid for their time default to team sleepy Joe.  You'd have to be a completely brainwashed liberal suffering from Trump derangement syndrome to not see how terrible Biden is doing...  Food shortages in America?  C'mon...  If the democratic party isn't intentionally trying to run this country off a cliff, then their incompetence is shocking to me.

Imagine being so corrupt you want to just not let candidates run by starting bullshit audits...  These people are so crooked...
