@GazetaBitcoin
You did an amazing job, even compiling interesting facts from the poll. Thanks.

It was a pleasure  Cheesy

Another point was that you listed all those who received at least 3 votes, regardless of category.
It ended up meeting what I had commented on in the other post. Thanks.  Wink

Hehe, welcome! I am glad you remembered our discussion. And yes, I did it at your suggestion! Thank you for your opinion and also for offering yourself to help! I appreciated that!

I'm surprised Yahoo didn't won any of this Bitcointalk community award. I'm expecting more on "Absolute Hero of Good" award for Yahoo to get atleast 2nd cause we all know Theymos deserved to be number 1.

On the other hand, take into account that yahoo62278 was nominated at four categories, which only very few members managed to achieve. Indeed, one of these was "Miss BitcoinTalk" but it is what it is... Smiley He received 6 nominations at "Craft master" (ninth place), 3 nominations at "BitcoinTalk ninja" (ninth place) and 14 nominations at "Golden feather" (sixth place). And, of course, 3 votes at "Miss BitcoinTalk" (ninth place) -- here he got just one vote less than LoyceV Smiley

because maybe my frequency life always got women as manager company, and feel that yahoo is women.
Don't say if you stumbled on the name yahoo on tinder app or somewhere in thailand.

Loooooooooool!

Same as today, I really feel Royse777 is a woman also.

Oh boy!

Did you have that feeling only yesterday? Or are you feeling everyday that Royse is a woman? Smiley

What a place bitcointalk became? You are not safe at all.

No, we're not. I said at many times in the past:

Now it's clear for me that I really must be a part of the gang, for my own protection!

Who had this 13 inch dick?

What? 13 inches?

1782  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: February 05, 2023, 06:32:13 PM
I'm going to break my spaghetti in half before I cook it next time. I hear that that's the authentic Italian way.
Can confirm. I'm like 6% Italian (on my brother's side) and that's the way I've always done it. Also, if you want a real taste of Italy, try putting pineapple on your pizza, that's sure to get you some nods from the traditionalists (and maybe even a "squisito!").
Ketchup on pasta.
Pineapple on Pizza.
That is lethal sin. Something that could berserk an every Italian

It feels like a gang war is preparing nutildaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah are you filming this?

Thank God I am not using pineapple on pizza and I only eat traditional Italian style pizza  Roll Eyes

I hope I'm safe based on my neutrality.

1784  Local / Română (Romanian) / Re: Criptomonede vs bani digitali emiși de Stat on: February 05, 2023, 06:14:51 PM

Alternativ, cred ca ar putea fi intrebat si Razvan, daca are cunostinte in alte orase.

O sa ramana varianta p2p... cat o sa ramana... Angry

Nici pe mine nu m-ar mira...
1785  Economy / Services / Re: I want to translate my project into multiple different languages. on: February 05, 2023, 11:55:50 AM
I want to professionally translate my project thread one day into multiple different languages so others can read into it more that don't speak English.

I am able to provide you a team of professional translators for Romanian, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Greek, Turkish and Indonesian languages. It's possible that soon to be able to come back to you for being able to translate in some more languages. All the users from the team have Sr. Members, Hero and Legendary ranks, all have a good reputation inside the forum and they are also experienced with translations.

Please check your PM for more details.

SeeBiscuit, I could not stop noticing that all the offers you received so far came from Newbie accounts. While I don't want to point the finger at anyone, I would advise you to be very careful with new members or users without reputation / background / positive Trust score, as you don't know anything about them nor you know if they will do a proper job or not, unless you have a method to verify their work (e.g.: have a native of respective language to check for you if the translation was done using Google Translate or it was done in a professional manner).

Besides, translations made with automated tools are breaking forum rules. To be more precise, according to Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ:

27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.
1786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: February 04, 2023, 08:26:15 PM
Whoa! So many participants at the quiz today! I just gathered the last posts of those of you which are limited by your ranks to post pictures, in order to help you have your scores displayed in full pictures.

As a side note, for some reason, the images uploaded on Ibb could not be shown in full picture. I don't know why that happened, as I did not encounter this issue before. The ones which had problems were BountyProgram, Cuking88, Web$$$ and Kb2. For you I made an effort and I uploaded your pics on imgur, in order to have them properly shown. Thank me later Smiley

1788  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: February 04, 2023, 06:40:24 PM
Allow me to suggest a new Gang: The Italian Brotherhood [...]

It sounds scary Undecided

The Italian Brotherhood
Supreme Leader: fillippone, which is involved also in other shenanigans with Merit Cycling Club
Known members and adulators (wannabees): gbianchi, giammangiato, bitbollo, turtlecute, conilmionome, Paolo.Demidov, babo, Plutosky, hymperion, duesoldi, mendace, creep_o, Lillominato89, and the rest of the clan.
Reputation: in my opinion, the greatest brotherhood can be found inside Italian board. This gang looks so fearsome that even The Supreme Leader of The Thick-Skinned Gang said it's scary.
Activity: more research needed. The gang was just exposed, by an accidental mistake, and now it needs to be investigated properly in order to find out what interests its lieutenants have.
ANN: none.
First mention: February 4th, 2034, 16:40:34, when LoyceV exposed them (most likely, this was possible due to a fatal mistake of their leader, which mentioned their local mafia in plain sight).
Misc: their war cry is the following one: "3,2,1 all’ Italian mafia… si accettano scommesse…". In the end, wolwoo was right when he said that "the forum is run like a family, like the Corleone family"!
Emblem: none.
1789  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Should BTC amounts greater than 10.000E be declared when leaving the country? on: February 04, 2023, 04:50:06 PM
I know which one I'd prefer though: please just look at my phone!
Now you made me curious. Why is that?  Cheesy
You get to choose between a full cavity search and having your phone checked, and you're in doubt? What kind of secrets do you have on your phone?

When you said above that you prefer to have your phone searched I believed that you mean that, in case you are stopped at the border for a device check, then from all digital devices you carry you'd prefer to have the phone searched -- and this intrigued me Smiley Why the phone and not the tablet, for example.

However, what you just said now put things in a totally different perspective Smiley Yet even when having to choose between a cavity search or a phone check, based on the skills earned during last years inside the foxhole, a cavity search should not be a problem -- but the opposite: a pleasure
1790  Other / Meta / Re: Gangs of BitcoinTalk :) on: February 04, 2023, 04:44:00 PM
Now that's a great gang indeed! I'll think about a nice description and I'll come back with it! Roll Eyes
1791  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Should BTC amounts greater than 10.000E be declared when leaving the country? on: February 04, 2023, 04:27:53 PM
Are you sure there is no limit for individuals?
Quote
There are no restrictions on cash payments between consumers (such as for cars),

Perhaps I did not understand well what you meant above. I thought you are saying that there is no limit for the money which someone can carry with him when crossing the border, not about a cash limit for a transaction.

Again, are you 100% sure they confiscate undeclared BTC (or what's over 10.000E) although there is no reference inside the law specifying the term cryptocurrency?
Of course I am sure. The public authorities cannot seize your assets arbitrarily. If you have declared your funds and they are of legal origin, they cannot seize them, whether they are €11k or €1M. In cash or bitcoin.

I understand what you are trying to say. You examples are sound and coherent. But I believe they are true only if you talk about fiat money. Since crypto raises suspicion in the eyes of authorities only by hearing this term, I am afraid (like really afraid) that declaring it may raise even more suspicion, out of no where. What if you don't have (even at home) proofs like KYC for your funds? Maybe you simply received 1000 BTC in the age when it was 1$ or less. Will you declare you are carrying 23M$ in BTC and, if you'll be asked for its provenience you'll say that it was a gift? Do you really think this would work? Smiley

La revedere Smiley

Quote
According to some statistics they offer (which may be or be not true), "from November 20, 2017, until June 30, 2022, only 0.012% of all travellers who were processed at the border had their digital devices examined".
This got me curious, but I couldn't find what percentage of travellers gets to bend over.

Looooool! I am sure that no country shows that kind of statistics

I know which one I'd prefer though: please just look at my phone!

Now you made me curious. Why is that?  Cheesy

Quote
If this is true then, indeed, the percentage is very small.
It has to be: they don't have time to fully check a lot of devices.

I also thought about that: how many employees they need in order to search everybody's phone digital device. I assumed they certainly don't have many enough for this, nor they have time enough for properly checking even the devices they are checking. I guess the action can be seen as a tryout: they may have a predetermined number to check each day -- let's say 10 devices. If they find anything suspicious then hooray to entire department; if not, that's fine too.
1792  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 04, 2023, 03:52:35 PM
Thanks for the suggestion, the spacing is somewhat intentional to separate things but I made some adjustments

Great job, ibminer! I checked the new implementation and it's there and fully functional! I am glad that my suggestion was helpful Smiley

I also realized while modifying the tooltip that this report never made it into the menu either, so I added it there as well under the "Activity" reports.

You mean this one?

If yes, I can confirm that it also works. However, I just noticed something: the name of the section (and also of the new menu entry) is "Most posted profiles". It sounds to me like... a bit of forcing English language. Maybe this section should be named "Profiles with most posts"? Or any other way you find feasible, but make sure it won't force the language?

You see someone release an update to a tooltip and expect a BPIP card generator to work.. I'm the one who should be rolling his eyes.  Roll Eyes

I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I can not see any card generator anymore Oo

I take this opportunity to share some more interesting and funny facts I noticed during voting period. I hope you'll all enjoy!  Cheesy

  • Most united local board: Italian, by far. In my opinion, the greatest brotherhood can be found inside Italian board. This is because their members voted mostly for other Italian members, encouraging each other. I observed such behavior inside German board, for example, but Italians seems to be the ones best at supporting their people. Respect to that!

  • Most weird / creepy vote:

-AntiHero: dead Lauda

  • An interesting debate: Sarah Azhari trying to convince yahoo62278 that he may be a girl Smiley

  • Miss Bitcointalk: yahoo62278
Guess I better start sitting down to pee if I'm to take home the miss bitcointalk title lol. If I win I'll need a brand new dress to strut my stuff in.
Grin  I'm sorry because I still don't know how to differentiate between men and women here, I just look by the name Yahoo that look women by me.

about 18,881 yahoo girl name in 2013

https://www.babycenter.com/baby-names/details/yahoo-417015

yahoo62278 seemed to take this possibility seriously, thus he made some plans in case he'd actually find out that he is a girl:

Guess I better start sitting down to pee if I'm to take home the miss bitcointalk title lol. If I win I'll need a brand new dress to strut my stuff in.

  • Most philosophic explanation for Antihero category:

anti hero does not mean villain. its means hero without the boyscout red pants on

  • The sad user:

Miss Bitcointalk: i can't answer my gf is watching me  Cry

  • An interesting suggestion:

There should be a category created in which I would fit, maybe Mercurial, Satanic Slob of Laziness and Chronic Beggar of Theymos for sMerits

  • The new discovered girl:
5Ksana_HandMade. As far as I know, this user has never been nominated before.

  • Sexism against men:

By the way, why is there no Mister Bitcointalk? What kind of injustice?  Wink

  • Insights about The Sceptical Chymist's cloths + trolling theymos:

Fail of the Year:Change of name ( From The Pharmacist to Skeptical Chymist. Dear Theymos, I'd so much appreciate it, if you can give my man what he desires and deserves as a Christmas Present
LOL, I almost shit-stained my already shit-stained bunny costume reading that.  It's Sceptical Chymist, by the way.  A minor detail, but one that Mr. party pooper didn't miss.

Theymos, the hero of good, golden feather, and niggard distributor of sMerits to all the sources (or maybe I'm just special).

  • A very aesthetic vote:

  • Funniest vote:
Hero of Good: Baphomet, Beelzebub, Shaitan, 'ol Scratch himself
Golden Feather: Barrack Obama
Bitcointalk Ninja: Satoshi
Bitcoin Geek: Sam Bankman Fried
Event of the Year:  FTX falling down from $32 billon mountain *doh*  I copy/pasted NotATether's list and forgot to modify this entry.
Fail of the Year: Me flipping over the handlebars of my bicycle whilst collecting cans and pretending to be homeless.  Just last night.
Discovery of the Year:  Russian scientists discover immortality drug.
Best SpamBuster: What spam?
Best ScamBuster: Pick one for me.
Craft Master: Da fuk does this even mean?
AntiHero: Black Adam
Miss Bitcointalk: Foxpup

  • The man closest to win at Miss BitcoinTalk category:
BitcoinGirl.Club ended up on fourth place, at one vote distance from third place  Roll Eyes

  • Another interesting debate:
BlackHatCoiner trying to convince o_e_l_e_o that he is a man

Even in 2022, husbands are males.  Tongue
I've never said I was her husband, only that she was my wife. Her gender says nothing about mine.

  • The endless debate about our Supreme Leader's gender:
(Note: these are just a few examples, but the discussion lasts for years now  Grin)

Miss Bitcointalk: I highly doubt Foxpup is she.

If I recall correctly, Foxup won the female category some time ago; how do you nominate someone whose gender is unknown to 95% of the voters? After antihero, this is the most useless category.
At least for Foxpup it's known (because profile information is important to look up  Wink) and that's once again a reason to set up all details in your Account.  Cheesy

Guys, those of you which are so curious should know that our dear fillippone made a comprehensive list with possible genders of Foxpup Smiley
1794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: February 04, 2023, 02:24:27 PM
This is my Score.
My score: 14/21

Congrats to all three of you for completing the quiz! I awarded each of you with a merit which, given the fact that both of you met a long time ago the activity criterion for Jr. Member, will promote you to this rank. And, since from now on you'll be able to post pictures yourselves, make sure you learn how to do it properly. Always set height=300 to your pictures, thus you won't fill the entire screen. Use this command:

Code:
[img height=300]https://i.imgur.com/GU6JZAB.jpg[/img]

Also, make sure you use the guidelines from the topic I created for uploading pics on the forum - How to post images from imgur (Jr. Members and up) -- Revamped.

I will upload now both your scores as full images and, when your rank will be upgraded, you'll be able to do it yourselves.

Ahan$, you have a pretty big score for a Newbie... I hope you did not cheat Smiley
1795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: February 04, 2023, 09:57:25 AM
My score is very low next will be better score
My score .11/21

It's not very low, you still answered correctly to almost a half of the quiz Smiley And your next one will certainly be better, since you already know the questions now, lol. But you can search the forum for other quizzes, as there are also some quizzes made by others.

I will quote your score in full picture below, as your rank does not allow you yet. And, as I wrote with other occasions as well, make sure that in order to post images you have to write the URL of the image between a "img - /img" BBCode sequence, not just the URL. This topic may help you: How to post images from imgur (Jr. Members and up) -- Revamped.

I am very happy to play this quiz because it gives some idea about Bitcoin

Congrats for the score. I will also post the full picture of your score and I recommend you too to read the above mentioned topic for learning how to properly post images. Since this merit I gave you will promote you to Jr. Member, you'll be able to post images but you also need to learn how to properly do it.

1796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: February 04, 2023, 08:54:10 AM
my result 13/21

Congrats! This is a good score Smiley I also gave you a merit and it'll promote you to Jr. Member. Good luck in ranking up!

Also, take note that for posting images you have to write the URL of the image between a "img - /img" BBCode sequence, like the one below. Also, make sure to set an adequate size to your picture, for not filling whole screen. In order to do that, add a "height=300" after "[ img ]".

Code:
[img height=300]https://i.ibb.co/TYYpK6d/cfead3db357a.jpg[/img]

I also posted your score as full screen, since your rank-up to Jr. Member did not occur immediately after I sent you the merit.

First of all every member needs to know all the questions asked in this quiz.

Every member needs to know the questions? Then where would be the fun? Perhaps you meant the answers, not "the questions".

There are many who still do not know the answers to these questions.

That's because icopress and I did an intense brainstorming for finding questions really difficult to answer, thus incentivizing participants to explore in-depth the forum, in order to find the answers. The purpose was to help them learn as many things as possible about BitcoinTalk.

I hope that I will be able to answer all of these related quizzes in the future.

If you want you can check the forum for other quizzes too. There have been others in the past and, if you find them, they would be interesting to complete.

Here, let me help you with posting the full image of your score, since your rank does not allow you.

1797  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: February 03, 2023, 09:28:11 PM
I guess my point was that the Most earned merit link could already be accessed through the "?" for Most Recognized. I don't know, maybe I'm confused.. it's been a long day. Tongue

Ohhhhhhh got you now! And I saw it, you are right! I confirm, the link is there and it's accessible.

I was a little confused because I thought the Most Posts report was already linked under the Most Activity's "?", but I was mistaken on that one, so that might be a place where we could add a link to the 'most posts' report, maybe under the Most Activity "?"
... but are you saying you don't consider the "?" links to be "on the home page" and/or not prominent enough?

The "?" are indeed on the home page. Maybe they can be extended a bit, though? Of course, if code allows. Regarding the place of the link for Most posts, at the moment, the description shown when clicking on the "?" of Activity looks like this:

Quote
Most Activity is calculated
      using:
min(time * 14, posts)

time = number of 2 week
periods in which a member
has posted since their
      registration

posts = total number of
      posts

Maybe you can insert the hyperlink for Most posts on the "posts" term highlighted by me? Alternatively, there is an empty line between the last line (the one with highlighted "posts") and the term "registration". Maybe the line with "posts" can be placed on this empty line from above, thus in the text box last line will be empty and you can add there something like "For Most posts click here".

To get a little technical, this is in the sense that we are talking about the standard sized screens and resolutions most people would be using, which is what the responsive design of the site was intended to work best with.

Yes, it makes sense.

Fun related fact: [...] Putting 1 rank table in the middle saved the space needed to cleanly fit the 4 tables next to it, allowed longer username lengths, and I think looked better (but was ultimately harder to design..).

This is interesting, as it shows how agile if the mind of a web designer and coder Smiley

Awww, merci frumos!

In sfarsit, in cazul acesta, premiul este mai putin important. Titlul acela insa atarna greu Smiley

I will PM him today, in case he does not see the post. If he refuses it I propose to make a short raffle with the participants of the "couch raffle".
But as our rules are stating, if the winner refuses it, it'll be allocated for the next giveaway. So, if it should be refused we have to allocate it to our next givwaway. And that's also leading to our next giveaway: I'm already planning to hold an educational giveaway as I've done some years beforeSmiley Smiley Smiley Smiley
For this giveaway, I would allocate some valuable BTC of course and we could add your card, too.  Smiley

RickDeckard both agreed and refused

Inside his soul he accepted the prize. However, as he has a big heart, he proposed something else: he says he wants to make a charity topic inside Collectibles board, where to donate the amount won at this giveaway for icopress Ukraine donation address. And also see how much he can obtain for this card, if I understood well. And donate this amount too. And have me send the card to the winner.

Now I know about our giveaway rule and I have a solution for not breaking the rule and also support RickDeckard in his noble gesture. As I have more than one card of this kind (I have a set of 5 cards, from which I already sent one to gbianchi), I will co-sponsor your next giveaway with another card and also help RickDeckard and send a card to the one he'll tell me to do it Smiley

Is this okay with everybody?

Have you seen the "?" on the column headers? Clicking the "?" once will keep it open, so you can access the links involved in a particular formula. Is this something like what you are looking for?

No, what I had in mind was to have a link somewhere on home page for the ladders of Most posts and Most earned merit. From what you said above I understood that two more columns won't fit the home page, therefore I suggested that, maybe, even two links written on the home page, redirecting to these two ladders may help.

A link could be named "Most posts" and the other one "Most earned merits".

And I suggested that they could be placed at the left, respective righ side of the "M" and the "R" from "MATR".

They would be just two links to the ladders, indeed, and not the entire ladders, but the advantage would be that these ladders could be also accessed from home page. Does this make sense? I hope I explained better now what I had in mind Smiley
