Salvation
Working on custom font on "9TO5" kept all circular shapes symmetric, added a frame to give a bit of "newsletter" and/or "stamp" feel.
Made a couple of clocks, some are a bit more detailed, some are less, but at the same time kept it all simple and crisp as requested.
"9TO5" font is unique and there is no other font that look exactly like this.

Hi Kyraishi, sorry for the inconvenience. In some rare case the address takes a while to show up, you can create new account or wait for the address. However we believe currently it is already showed up in your account Smiley

The address not showing up issue is actually sometimes with chrome! If you are using a custom font file, it sometimes doesnt load and requires a refresh. It also happens to my site with some text...

As for other content on the site, theres quite a handful. Design is simple and clean though, since the coin base design.

You mentioned about small handful of ddos attacks on your site, I think it should just be automatically factored now these days. Especially when your on a huge forum like this, theres going to be a few haters out there.

Keep going at it, I think its looking great.

I think earlier newbie restriction was too strict and instead of moving back to it if only we can restrict newbies from creating new threads most of the current issues would be resolved and at the same time the restrictions will be acceptable.
I'm a newbie and I could agree with this. Usually I only have a question to an existing subject. The only negative I can see is that a knowledgeable person who is also a newbie wouldn't be able to contribute and that actually restricts the flow of new ideas for the whole group. I have a newbie question however, how do I emerge from newbie to jr member?

^^^ There are a lot of questions asked in the newbie section... The expert can simply answer those for the time being...

$6 to join is to me quite reasonable. Here in the U.K. that equates to only £3.59. Christ I spend that on a paperback book to read up on things. Also for people to get information they could do what I did. I read lots of stuff on here and got lots of valuable information without needing to join. I only joined recently as I wanted to help put a bit of what I have learned back into help.

Just for the record, Theymos would never do that and I am glad that you guys dont own the forum...

If this forum did charge money the bounce rate would go like crazy. Maybe only 1% will actually register. This forum was meant to be free, and will probably be free for the rest of its life. Why dont you create a separate thread and see how many people support your idea.

Hi, love the Hive wallet!  Just wondering being all protective and safe about my hard earned coins... How exactly do you get your private key from Hive?  With the bitcoin-qt client you can easily extract your private key.  Haven't found a way for Hive.  Isn't it so that when your laptop crashes, and you don't have your wallet backed up, the private key is the only way to salvage your bitcoins?  Therefore looking for a way to extract the private key from my Hive wallet.  Would be great to incorporate a "print paper wallet" feature in Hive which prints you private key. No?
That's why Hive insists from the beginning that you back up the wallet Smiley If your laptop crashes and you have a copy e.g. on an external Time Machine drive or in your Dropbox, you can restore the wallet from the backup. (There's no option in the app to do this yet, but you can just copy the files manually in the right place.)

Extracting the private key itself is also theoretically possible, but as above, there's no way to do that from inside the app yet. You could try to do that with Mike Hearn's bitcoinj wallet tool if you're really determined, but if it's only for backup purposes then there isn't much point as you can just back up the whole wallet.


Maybe add the ability to export private keys or print a paper wallet for the next version?
