Just checked my Bitmain account and my order from 9/8 is marked shipped but UPS shows no such item in their system. EDIT: wondering since they are talking compensation for being late if they have done just what someone else said about just printing labels. will watch my UPS account closely to see when the package enters their system. Still no word on my 4 units...
Ordered 8/30 @16:47, payment confirmed 9/1 @ 10:54.
Will be asking for a full refund and to send the power supplies back,
If I get refunded but hung with the power supplies I will call it a win.

I ordered and paid on Sept. 2nd with BTC. My account on bitmaintech.com still shows the order as unshipped, but it is definitely shipped out. The only reason I know this, is that UPS called me to set up brokerage to import into Canada. They provided me with the tracking number at the same time. It's very possible that your order is already shipped also, especially since yours was paid a day before mine. Update: I was able to paste my order ID from Bitmain into the UPS track by reference interface and see that I have 4 units scheduled to arrive on Monday, currently sitting in Osaka. I am somewhat lackluster about this, I hope that 4.86 miners are on the way, will give the benefit of the doubt until they show up on Monday. Not particularly thrilled about having to manually dig for my status. It sure would have been nice of them to send us shipment and tracking information. Especially since my order has shown as 'shipped' since 09/02 when they sent the power supplies (another item they could spend some time or BTC to develop a software fix for (partial orders)). Never have I dealt with a company on a >$5k USD transaction that has been so unresponsive, and Bitmain has been much better about this in the past, which is somewhat foreboding. Will report back once the miners arrive and are setup. Given that I ordered on Day1, don't have HW yet, suspect that it will under-perform, said HW is already selling for $1k less than I paid, and delivery is at the EXTREME outside of the window... I am not as excited as I was on 'Day 1' :\ What number are you putting into ups by reference? If you sign up for a free UPS My Choice account you can check if there is anything in their system coming to your address. No number required. The other nice thing and the reason I signed up is Bitmain requires a signature on delivery so I get on and have UPS delivery to my local UPS store and just stop after work and pick it up. |

I wouldn't be this pissed , even at the lower hash rate if they'd have shipped the gdarn things.
We're all losing $$ every day they delay and it's almost up to the cost of the Miner itself.

Appears the story they are telling is that batch one was a special run when they made the chips.
So those are all excellent.
Batch 2/3 was a production run.
But I got a 575mhz batch one.
So I'm not sure I believe any of it.
The only thing I know is I have holes in my rack not making BTC.
Would really be nice to fill. I pay for electricity whether I use it or not.

Did they tell you in advance that you got the slower miner? I'm seriously worried that they are sending me the slow ones. Phil: I ordered rather quick as well, my timestamp on the order on Bitmain's site is 2015-08-30 14:08:29.0. My mistake however, was paying with FIAT! yeah 3 day delay for that. The problem is fake bank transfers are possible. BTC can't be faked. All true but even if Bitmain had put the person who paid cash in line, they had more than 3 days before shipping was going to happen and could have kicked out the order if the money was fake. |

I told myself this after the S5 came out and I did it again! My order is now 32 days old and still no shipping notice.
how many did you order? I ordered just one 8/30 and got it on time. they kind of had a warning there that said..."if it will be shipped 10 days later, it would not considered to be late"-kind of a a tell sign. just saying, not condoning it. I ordered 4 on September 6th...I know, it's not considered late until after the 10th and I'm not complaining at all. I'm just the idiot that caved in and pre-ordered Batch 1 from Bitmaintech once again. You think I would learn eventually. The really bad thing is I sold all 20 of my hosted S5s that were bringing in $27 per day (after fees) on the 6th in order to get the coin I needed to buy the 4-S7s. That has cost me $864 in profits so far. Again, I let my passion overrule my logic. Repeat over and over again; never, ever prepay for Batch 1 of anything from Bitmaintech... For me, the lesson is learned. I should have known better as well... |

@Aurel57, according to the previous owner, he had it set to DHCP... Erm... Actually, when I asked him what the addresses of the miners were (because I had already been having trouble at that point), he said this...
"They're set to use DHCP. I configured my router to know their MAC address and used that to give them a static IP address. You'll need to fire one up and see what IP it got from whatever router/computer in your network is your DHCP server and then log into that IP address. Login is root/password."
Login should be root and password should also be root? Also I see you think you may have changed some of the settings? If you need I can take a screen shot of my S3 if you want to check them against yours? Sloppy had a good point that I also remember some had problems with the reset button not working. Just another reason I never changed the firmware or messed with my batch1. |

Hmm... My average is now at almost 403, and my HW errors are at 1.37%.. I'm running at 225mhz. I heard a while back that some units run better at the 218.75, so maybe I'll try that... Still, is there any hope for that chip that still has an "x"? Or is it totally gone?
it should work at 206 ,212 or 218 the early batch 1's were not able to do over 218. I have 2 of them mining as I type since july of 2014 they have been set at 212 and have been flawless for more then a year. a steady 425 hash rate day in and day out. I still have a batch 1 in the basement running and it will not work right over the 218.75 setting and avg. 409 GH/S. This is the reason I never sold it on EBay as It was a dog compared to all the other S3 I sold and did not want a unhappy customer. (It has one x asic) |

I believe the S5 was the first Bitmain machine which defauted to DHCP. I was really glad to see that change in the stock config.
Very strange that they won't reset to defaults. I remember the S1 required a power-cycle after pushing the reset buttong, but I haven't had to reset near as many S3 so I don't recall their operating specifics and it sounds like you have that well understood. Definitely very strange. SSH is good advice; if nothing else, you can pull up the shell scripts to start cgminer and see if you can get them running without a working webconfig.
I can see one having problems but it seems strange that he has two with same problem? I am wondering if its something else? Wondering if he is using a switch to plug multi miners into? I have Fling on my phone so i can check the IP's of all devices on my modem and can check again after resetting things. |

We paid a premium for a product that has missed its original shipping window (not considering their additional 10 day window) just to have the company go on vacation and not respond to support tickets but yet they have the time to post two additional batches for sale at a lesser price... Agree...we will see what happens after Oct 10th now. |

All of us that ordered in September should kick back with a double-shot of a good sipping wiskey and enjoy the holiday. My order of 4 was on the 6th (payment confirmed right away) so I am now shooting for November! An interesting note, one of the data centers I know ordered a handfull on the 8th and they came in yesterday.

I emailed them last night and the answer I got this morning was that they're "having a holiday now." No shipping for me until the 9th (if then). Very irritating since I bought within the first 5 days. This sucks...I take it then a whole bunch of us will be later than 10 days past today which will be "late" |

Yes, I saw your point earlier. I would hope some how they work it out. I don't see their postal services shutting down. Otherwise, everything shipped into China from overseas is held up in big warehouses and they would have a serious back log of deliveries. I would be willing to bet their postal services will still be at work most of the holiday. As for employees within BITMAIN working during the holiday: Well, that remains to be seen. Only time will tell. I would like to think they will not be more than 10 days late with delivery. I would imagine there will be a mad rush of getting out shipments over the next couple of days [Providing they have 4.86 TH/s rigs]. If they don't have 4.86 TH/s rigs, they will be sending out many emails over the next couple of days to determine if people want a $65 refund with a 4.66 TH/s rig or wait for the 4.86 TH/s rig.
I wonder what the refund would be for waiting? I say this because it's only fair to give a rebate for purchased 4.86 TH/s rigs that were delivered late.
