181  Other / Meta / Re: Any managers lost good posters due recent mass ban? on: May 17, 2019, 02:13:13 PM
Now im having a hard time picking up experienced posters.

In your post history , I am not able to find which bounty campaign you are managing.
But still I do not think we have lost many good members but few good members and I hope they will be unbanned soon.
182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain how exchanges operate? on: May 17, 2019, 12:03:31 AM

2) Why do they appear to use only ONE address for BNB cold wallet? Isn't this like putting all your eggs in one basket?

It's a cold wallet. It's supposed to be the storage of pretty much everything, or at least a majority of the resources they control. If they have multiple cold wallets, that means they would employ multiple security measures, and focusing your attention to a single wallet is better than dividing your attention, resources, time and effort in guarding funds. Hackers would have a higher chance into cracking into multiple wallets, too, rather than a single, heavily-guarded one.

I am not understanding you point , make one and heavily guard it?  Why not make 10 and heavily guard it? To be precise what do you mean by "heavily guard" it? I guess security of cold wallet is due to its offline nature not due to "guarding" it.
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get images to load? on: May 16, 2019, 11:39:48 PM
I'm trying to load an image for one of my posts, but it keeps showing up as a hyper link. How do I get it to directly load the image from imgur.com?
btw I am using the "img , /img" tags.

Your rank does not allow you to load images but still you are doing it wrongly.

You should first load image in third party website like imgur and the get shareable link of BB code and post that link here. (Actually in your current rank , you can share the image in the forum by this way but they will not load.)

Correct tags of image are
Code:
 [img] <insert img url >   [/img]
184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Possible? or not? on: May 16, 2019, 11:35:27 PM

If we will continue to ban more users in the forum then we get down in terms of numbers of users. All of the registered users here had contributed the forum in any way so this is why I am a little bit concern on the users ban could be avoided somehow.

Theymos started a new procedure of appeal to prove that you are overall net positive for the forum. So good user will still be forgiven. All the net negative users will be banned forever overall improving the quality of user in forum.
185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning BTC Daily with faucets and Surveys etc. on: May 16, 2019, 03:37:57 PM
It is better to earn by some side activity instead of clicking the faucets. Use faucets only when you cannot go out of house to earn anything and you have plenty of spare time and electricity. (+ free hardware too because I think most of them are using coinhive that sucks the CPU.)
186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bounty participants enjoy longer or shorter campaigns? on: May 16, 2019, 03:27:59 PM
Hello all,

Looking for some feedback on this particular topic. In general as a participant in bounty campaigns would you rather have one that:

1) is short in length but may provide limited opportunity to earn coins or tokens

Depend upon your time, if you are going to be busy in next month or so, you will like to take part in short campaign.

2) one that drags on for longer time periods (up to a year) but give you the opportunity to earn a larger share of the total bounty fund

Let me know your thoughts and why!

If you are paying weekly in some liquid coin and token then people will love to do long campaigns otherwise it is waste of year.

Bonus: What's your most disliked type of bounty campaign?

Bounty campaigns distributing their worthless token in name of bounty.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HELP] distribution of tokens on: May 16, 2019, 03:19:34 PM
I think the main reason of dump is that no one is doing the fair evaluation of the project worth. With a website and whitepaper project raises million+ dollars and in the end did not able to deliver that make value of project equal to million+ dollars. Here the dump of token starts.
188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Change how to evaluate article quality to receive Merit? on: May 16, 2019, 03:11:50 PM
Just go on producing the quality article. If you are still unlucky to get merit then you can apply on various merit give away threads.
189  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Homelessness has no obvious solution? on: May 15, 2019, 03:43:18 PM
The goal is to eliminate jobs/work, not create them.

So we want to proceed for making the devil's army because "An idle mind is a devil's workshop" .

We want to rely less on humans and more on decentralized computers and robots to provide safe and unbiased decisions.
I vote for robocop.
Unbiased machines created by biased humans. Smiley

There is Universal jobs, voting, space exploration, art, dancing, music, learning, judges. We don`t need jobs. We need food, houses and water.
Look like you want to go back to prehistoric ages when we have food ,houses and water.
190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: capitalism and democracy destined to split appart on: May 15, 2019, 03:18:56 PM
Too long video to watch. read the truncated transcript.

I guess he titled his video wrong, he actually want to say that "communism"  need strong political system that is not possible in democracy.

I guess example of France and UK are your own imagination.
191  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do we still believe in anything? on: May 15, 2019, 03:06:45 PM
This looks a very tough question. I think in today's world almost everyone is not following what actually we believe. We believe in many qualities that should be part of our character but instead we are modifying/breaking them as per our convenience.

Religion, in most cases is turned into the non taxable business again used for our convenience.

192  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Talk Platfrom on: May 15, 2019, 02:51:10 PM
It has been disabled in the whole forum because it was being used for DDoS attacks. No public plans to enable it again at any time soon.

How this stats help in DDoS attack?
You mentioned they were "used" ,I will like to know ,how they were used.
193  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] markiz73 on: May 15, 2019, 02:17:23 PM
Try to push this case with support of your local mods Xandry and Xal0lex. They can vouch for him.
194  Other / Meta / Re: How many posts I need to report to get a project using bumping bot down? + virus on: May 15, 2019, 01:55:49 PM
I guess thread can be trashed and OP of thread can be banned because they are giving link to malicious site. (assuming nutildah warning is correct.)
195  Other / Meta / Re: How to detect plagiarism on: May 14, 2019, 04:11:06 PM
So my question is, how can I help the community by finding the posts which the user have copy pasted and then show it to the banned person.

Somebody already found it,reported it. that's why the account is banned. Reporters already share that plagiarized post when thread created in Meta.

If there is a method to identify such posts with an ease, then it should be public so that other users could use it to show the banned person for the exact post he was banned for.
Public ? for the ease of plagiarist for hiding the trails?

Why should moderators and senior people take all the burden of finding the plagiarized posts?

Now you want to share the burden but want to copy the method. I suggest you to devise your own method for finding them.

196  Other / Meta / Re: newbie jail on: May 14, 2019, 02:53:05 PM

First - why newbies shitpost? From my point of view to get enough posts for signature campaigns. Maybe bounty managers should change rules from posts/week made to merit/week earned.

Newbies do not have signature so shitposting for signature campaign do not make sense to me. I see many newbies posting plagiarized content in attempt to gain merit.

Anyway , question to OP:

OP, how you will deal with newbies that are stuck with some issues and just join this forum to get their problem resolved?
Don't you think they should get help as soon as possible instead of moderator first white listing them so that they can be heard.
197  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BitBlender Signature Campaign | Up to 0.0003BTC/Post | Member - Legendary on: May 14, 2019, 10:14:30 AM
Round 16 Payments have been sent out!

Hope you are all enjoying the current bull run! Nothing new to report on so just keep doing you and keep up the good work Smiley.

Please report an open spot? Grin
It's been almost 4 months huh? I remember I had registered about 7 hours after you posted the campaign but all the spots were already filled! I've been watching the thread since then (with some breaks).
I hope I didn't miss a spot opening during one of these "breaks".

Hard luck buddy by missing it by 7 hours.
Users in this campaign are ranking up and currently we have 10 senior members instead of 5. I do not think any new position opened up for any rank in last couple of month.
198  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The CoinMode Project on: May 14, 2019, 12:04:58 AM
Do you have any Demo version where I can try it for free?
Since you require very small payment like .04 USD to start the game so I think you need to integrate your game with lightning Network.
199  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos - Request: Multisig addresses for treasurers on: May 13, 2019, 11:58:53 PM
I support the demand of Multisig address . I do not know why it is not in priority list of theymos, specially when previous treasured died and locking the funds of the forum.

I think theymos is not trusting anybody with forum funds except OgNasty.
