181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCIe Express specifications on: April 06, 2024, 02:14:01 PM
It won't help mining any. One lane at v2 is enough.
If this is just mining, then you are right, but now miners are assembling powerful computers with a RTX 4090 video card and a multi-core processor to rent out for tasks of artificial intelligence and similar computing. The characteristics of the PCIe Express motherboard are very important.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / PCIe Express specifications on: April 05, 2024, 02:44:41 PM
PCIe 7.0 is on track for a 2025 release, which means SSDs with speeds of up to 60GB/s should be available in the coming years
PCI Express 7.0 is coming! But don't feel as though you need to start saving for a new motherboard anytime soon. The PCI-SIG has just released the 0.5 version, with the final version set for release in 2025. That means supporting devices are not likely to land until 2026, with 2027–28 likely to be the years we see a wider rollout.

PCIe 7.0 will initially be far more relevant to the enterprise market, where bandwidth-hungry applications like AI and networking will benefit. Anyway, it's not like the PC market is saturated with PCIe 5.0 devices, and PCIe 6.0 is yet to make its way into our gaming PCs.

PCI Express bandwidth doubles every generation, so PCIe 7.0 will deliver a maximum data rate up to 128 GT/s. That's a whopping 8x faster than PCIe 4.0 and 4x faster than PCIe 5.0. This means PCIe 7.0 is capable of delivering up to 512GB/s of bi-directional throughput via a x16 connection and 128GB/s for an x4 connection

April Update:

Our report about what happened previous month:

1. Raised 85k USD for next TOP 12 Cex.
Because the number of projects going to list on this exchange is too much, the CAU integration process has been slower than planned. We are still waiting for news from the exchange.

2. Finished the new emissions roadmap for CAU when switching to offline mining.

3. Introduced PraseOdy Hybrid Testnet

4. Refunded 100% for the firs crowdfunding campaign: Mexc

5. Canxium Wallet public test.

What Next this April?

1. TOP 12 Cex
2. Launch PoS on Mainnet.
3. Audit the offline mining source code.
4. Canxium Wallet on Google Play Store.

The next 2 months are the most important months in the Canxium protocol development roadmap.

As I said Wink Because iceriver machines proved that they are really reliable times and times before!
Bitmain generally makes good ASICs, but if you look at the situation with this coin, the ASIC here becomes outdated more often and becomes unprofitable faster than its warranty period ends. The risks of equipment breakdown can only be eliminated by a guarantee or by purchasing more equipment.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ChipiCoin mining on: April 05, 2024, 02:11:00 PM
Mining this shitcoin is very similar to mining Gram. If you mined Gram solo on HiveOS in the early days, then the procedure for setting up solo mining is similar, but mining does not work with all versions of miners and HiveOS, so you will have to do a lot of independent work.
Or wait for the mining pools when the big givers run out.

190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TSMC to begin pilot program at its Arizona on: April 04, 2024, 11:44:34 AM
That’s cool. Maybe one day they’ll move the whole factory to the US. They won’t survive for very long otherwise. Sooner or later China will make a move against Taiwan and it won’t be pretty for TSMC when that day comes. It won’t be pretty for anyone but TSMC will get affected more than anybody else.

I wonder if moving their manufacturing to the US will affect their costs though. They will probably have to raise their prices because of that. It is still better than getting invaded by China I guess.
The US has a much higher standard of living and similar salaries for engineers, so the cost of production will be higher if the government does not provide good benefits for this business. But if China starts a war in Taiwan, then the plant will have more orders than it can fulfill and this will be a very profitable business.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Kaspa With What? on: April 04, 2024, 11:40:08 AM
Is 33 dB to 40 dB the result of the experiment or what they promise you? Reducing the noise from 75 to 33 would be great, but the best I got was ~(50-55) dB.
You are right that a regular noise box reduces the noise level on average from 80-90 dB to 50-55 dB, but if you add additional noise insulation to ventilation ducts and other elements, as well as replace the cooling system, you can further reduce the noise level by 10-15 dB . But this will be very expensive and depends on the ASIC model and the location for mining.
A soundproof room will be sufficient as a noise level of 50-55 dB can be tolerated.
These solutions remain useful for those who own one or two mining devices, but for mining farms or whenever the number of miners exceeds two, it will be completely different.
Soundproofing a room using 2 ASICs is a big question of return on investment. Usually miners try to save as much as possible on this and use inexpensive noise boxes and do not install ASICs in apartments. Basically, ASICs are rarely found in apartments, because the neighbors will complain.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is that Possible to mine crypto with ram on: April 04, 2024, 11:31:32 AM
RAM in Chia mining was used for hard drive plotting, but then more modern software appeared that made this operation more efficient using video cards.
You can come up with any algorithm, but then in RAM mining, server motherboards with a large amount of RAM will be popular.
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: IceRiver KS5L - opinion? on: April 04, 2024, 11:26:38 AM
Iceriver just released their new miner, so i was wondering, wha do you guys think? COP OR DROP? Iceriver miners have been reliable so far, so I was wondering wheter to buy this one or not. Are you guys gonna buy it?

Model KS5L from IceRiver mining KHeavyHash algorithm with a maximum hashrate of 12Th/s for a power consumption of 3400W.

Why buy older ASIC models where the hashrate is 2 times lower and the power consumption is the same?

195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Loan + Mining farm on: April 03, 2024, 12:35:35 PM
I do not think that taking a loan is the way, you can always buy for example shared miner on circlehash, which is avaiable for every budget, and the nyou can buy some more everytime you wanna invest again. Eventually, you will have the whole miner.
circlehash smells like a scam!
Well-known miners have a cost of electricity of 2-4 cents, while circlehash has a cost of 20 cents.

1. Basic Cost Structure
Electricity costs refer to the expenses incurred from the consumption of electrical power to run mining machines.
At CircleHash, we operate with a standard electricity cost of $0.2 per kilowatt-hour (kW/h).

https://www.circlehash.com/page/electricity-costs

And at this price, mining is not profitable, but it is profitable to sell miners to beginners. Then newcomers will be told that mining is unprofitable and will be offered to send the purchased miner at a price that will be higher than the market price.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETC pools are shutting down one by one ... on: April 03, 2024, 12:29:32 PM
I suggest you stop mining it or put your hash rate to better use as there are much better options to mine unless you have a video card with less than 8 GB of memory then go ahead and mine ETC.

JASMINER X44-P boasts an impressive nominal hashrate of 23400MH/s±10%, and the energy efficiency ratio has been improved to an incredible 0.1J/MH±10%.
Announcing #JASMINER X44-Q
Featuring three proprietary chips, a nominal hash rate of 7800 MHz/s±10% and an energy efficiency ratio of 0.1 J/MHx±10%!

https://t.me/Info4atlanin/9751

I saw new announcements here. I don’t know about their veracity, but any video card based on this algorithm has long been useless, unless there is a sharp increase in the price of the coin.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Kaspa With What? on: April 03, 2024, 12:24:14 PM
The noise of a regular ASIC is 70 dB to 75 dB in the room. I have seen measurements of the noise level of a noise box, when it was possible to obtain figures of 33 dB to 40 dB, which allows the use of ASIC on the balcony. If you use radial fans, the noise can be further reduced, but these fans are expensive.

Is 33 dB to 40 dB the result of the experiment or what they promise you? Reducing the noise from 75 to 33 would be great, but the best I got was ~(50-55) dB.

TSMC to begin pilot program at its Arizona, USA fab plant for mass production by end of 2024

TSMC is "sprinting" to conduct a trial production of its first production line in mid-April at its new Arizona fabrication plant in the United States, where if these tests go well, mass production is expected at the Arizona plant by the end of the year.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) said yesterday that its Arizona wafer fab plant is making good progress, as planned. The company is expected to hold a press conference on April 18 to provide more details on the exact progress of the Arizona plant.

The new US-based TSMC fab plant will begin mass-producing new 4nm process nodes in the first half of 2025 when the Arizona plant will be in full operation. The new Arizona lab will produce the same quality wafers as its bleeding-edge Taiwan-based facilities.

If you read the posts in this topic more carefully, you will find pools and video instructions for setting up mining, as well as exchanges for trading. If you have specific questions, ask them after reviewing the basic information.

I know and understand, you could have DMed me. But thank you anyway for all the assistance.
I would prefer not to give advice on mining, because it is a thankless task Smiley

Are you mining with gpus and converting to btc.

you need to post in altcoins. There are a lot of ways to mine with a gpu and convert to btc besides nice hash.

Are you directly mining btc with an asic miner pointed to nice hash?
whatsapp mod
If you are I will give you some answers.

If you are mining with gpus I will ask the mods to move this to alt coins and I will give you some answers in alt coin.
I started mining using the graphic cards rig and the HiveOS. also tried nicehash, but in the nicehash, my nvidia 3090's hash rate was dropping from 118 to 100 and then constant at 98. In the hiveOS, it is giving 124 hash rate. Is there any other software to efficiently mine the crpto?

In my view, Unminable presents a viable alternative to NiceHash. Unminable allows users to mine different coins and receive BTC, offering its own reliable mining software. Similarly, Zergpool offers a similar option, although they don't provide their own software; users can utilize the Vertcoin One Click Miner instead. It's worth noting that the NiceHash software may slightly reduce the hashrate of the cards.
