Hive Digital says BTC miners bought last Dec. have already paid themselves off Hive Digital made a sizeable ASIC miner purchase in December 2022. Just one year later, thanks to a Bitcoin boom, the crypto miner says the rigs have paid for themselves. Bitcoin miner Hive Digital Technologies says the move to acquire a fleet of Bitmain mining rigs in 2022 has already paid for itself, largely due to a significant increase in the price of BTC. In a Dec. 8 statement, Hive Digital wrote that it had been acquiring mining rigs since the collapse of FTX, a decision it believes will put it in a favorable position for the upcoming Bitcoin halving, currently slated for April 2024.https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-miner-hive-digital-asic-mining-rigs-break-evenWith such a payback, many companies will still come to mining

new listing https://xeggex.com/market/KLS_USDTI collected a list of all exchanges in the first post Daily emission of this coin is 4,320,000 KLS or $760 000 I thought that the price would fall very quickly, but probably the miners are not selling this coin, otherwise I don’t know why the price is not falling. Yes daily emission is insane. Ill pass for this one, it will be really hard to push the 1$ mark I think. The hashrate is growing very much, but so far this is the best coin for many GPU miners. https://hashrate.no/coins/KLS/hashrate677 TH/s is 162,311 RTX 4090 video cards or 1,065,000 RTX 3060 video cards. Most ASIC manufacturers for Кaspа are already thinking about adding a new algorithm for their devices.

lolMiner 1.79 Changes Added Karlsen support for AMD RX 400, RX 500, RX Vega*, Radeon VII* and RX 5000 generation GPUs. This is for the stand alone solver only and not yet for RTH+KLS dual mining. * RX Vega and Radeon VII requiereing an OpenCL driver with version number 3261.0 or higher. Slightly improved Karlsen solvers for Nvidia GPUs by approximately 0.5 (Ampere) to 3 % (Pascal cards) Fixes Fixed a bug causing FISHHASH-TESTNET solver not submitting shares to testnet server Fixed a bug causing 1.78 added dual mining codes to not start up on some Linux systems Fixed a bug causing multiple algorithms (RTH, NEXA, Radiant) not to start up on some systems in Windows Fixed a bug causing KLS solver to sometimes segmentation fault in Linux Fixed a bug causing AMD RDNA2 & RDNA3 cards to have low poolside Karlsen hashrate on older drivers. Hint: please update to drivers with OpenCL version above 3261.0 to get best possible performance out of your cards, cause the fix did cost a bit of raw speed.https://github.com/Lolliedieb/lolMiner-releases/releases/tag/1.79Check all links with this post from the developer. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4724735.0Now the Karlsen coin can be mined on old video cards, but the hashrate is still weak.

Forget it, unless you personally know someone with a hosting facility and have 100% trust in them. You would be better off to purchase Bitcoin with your cash and hold it.
Even the hosting companies that aren't 'outright' scams (e.g. they actually exist and actually host miners), will still scam you one way or the other. There will be an 'unexpected delay' for your miners to come online (while they've already been installed and mining away), or they will hold on to your equipment at the end of the term for several months before returning (and mining with it for their own benefit). Or maybe they will refuse outright to return your equipment, telling you your only option is to sell them second hand at a fraction of the value (which is what Wattum.io did to me for a whole 6 months after my hosting contract expired - YES 6 MONTHS). It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why they'd want to hold on to your miners...
Or maybe there was fraud in the contract, according to which your partner could not give up the equipment for a long time and pay minimal compensation? In Russia, too, this is a dangerous business, and when you bring the equipment, everyone will smile at you. But then everything will be different. It will be possible to pick up the equipment, but intermediaries (bandits or officials) will take up to 50% of the cost for the service.

Right. In the Moscow region, mining is safer than in Siberia, because you do not need to fear bandits and private security companies will arrive very quickly in case of an alarm. But the police can take away the mining farm. In Siberia it’s the other way around. There are no security companies in the taiga, and you protect your property on your own.
Is there any reason why people still operate mining farms illegally if they can hire security companies or register with the government though? Is cheap electricity the only reason, or is the registration process quite difficult to do so? What sort of reason can make the government take down your mining farm other than running it illegally? Probably the main reason is that in Russia there is no law on mining, so all mining farms violate the laws and can be confiscated. Another reason is rumored to be to free up electricity capacity for more important production. Or maybe someone will take away someone else’s business.

The FLOW coin has its own wallet https://port.onflow.org/I use it. If you have a coin on this smart contract, then it is Wrapped Flow WFLOW 0x5c147e74D63B1D31AA3Fd78Eb229B65161983B2b One of our miners received a similar coin, and after trying to sell it, he lost all the coins in his wallet. It was a fraudulent smart contract.

But the performance is known, albeit for the whole node: from 256 GFLOPS to 1 TFLOPS. Here, unfortunately, the details are again unknown, so it is unclear for which mode the performance is indicated, but even if it is FP64, the figure is quite modest, since modern monsters Nvidia and AMD offer 50-60 TFLOPS or more.
At the same time, Loongson’s solution is a GPGPU, that is, it supports general-purpose computing. Unfortunately, there are no details here yet.
Separately, we can recall that Loongson promised next year to release a video card that can compete with the Radeon RX 550 , whose performance (FP32) is just over 1.1 TFLOPS. It is possible that the LG200 will be a direct relative of this adapter.https://phonemantra.com/loongson-introduced-lg200-ai-accelerator/Soon we will mine on Chinese GPUs

Hello everyone! I am new to this topic, I would like to build an crypto miner for say around 3k+ in GBP Could you please give me the configuration at this price? Thanks.
If you are a beginner, I would recommend that you build several mining rigs on NVIDIA RTX 4060 video cards. This is not a hot video card and has a standard 8-pin power connector. This means that it will work well in the cheapest open mining case, which you can even assemble yourself for 5-10 dollars. Video card consumption on many coins is 80-100 watts. You will have the opportunity to mine any coins. Unlike mining on ASICs, the video card has a 3-year warranty. And this video card will be in demand in the secondary market.

What altcoin mining skills will you learn on a personal computer?
I already answered that question. It's also a false argument that because you find nothing to learn there is nothing to learn. Move on. It is imperative to study, but now is not 2013, when most miners with video cards mined at home. Mining has changed a lot since then and a home PC is no longer sufficient for mining. If you want to learn mining, you can assemble a mining farm from cheap old NVIDIA P106-100 video cards. In Russia, their price is 25 dollars and the payback period is less than 3 months at an electricity price of 5 cents

i hope u get ban from forum for support scam proects. plz report him who read this post
Perhaps you are one of those scammers who are trying to deceive miners. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5476745.msg63277953#msg63277953There is a lot of scam in cryptocurrencies, but miners do not buy coins, but mine them if it is profitable. Ban all OP from Announcements (Altcoins) Thanks to such new coins, home miners with video cards receive a good profit for at least a few days or weeks.

Why do you think that the new Mayers are at a loss? From the cost of 8-12 thousand dollars per bitcoin on ASICs 17-19 series of Bitmain. After the halving, the cost of Bitcoin mining will increase,
Oh god! It's not the cost that will increase , it's the revenue per th/s that goes down! It will cost you the same to run your machine, it's just that your machine will be earning less. And don't even get me started on the math, because if you earn 100$ for $80 spent, a doubling in cost makes you lose $60, a having in revenue makes you lose $30, and this is just raw example not accounting caring for running and fixed costs, taxes, deductions and so on. I agree with you that due to the large increase in hashrate, profit will decrease every week. And many more companies have not started supplying new ASICs. https://minerstat.com/coin/BTC/network-hashrate?But it is probably easier for the average observer to observe the mining costs of large companies, which they publish in quarterly reports.

I do not quite get it. Do you mean that there is no mining risks in Russia because the Police protect the mining rigs or that there is risk of theft but it is reduced? Please clarify.
From what I understood from the article shared by OP (using Google Translate), it seems like the police just seized a mining farm that is not registered or has any documents supporting its operation at all. I think it shows that running a mining farm without permission (if I understood it right) is quite risky since the police can easily seize it all. Right. In the Moscow region, mining is safer than in Siberia, because you do not need to fear bandits and private security companies will arrive very quickly in case of an alarm. But the police can take away the mining farm. In Siberia it’s the other way around. There are no security companies in the taiga, and you protect your property on your own.

It's not necessary to spend anything on gadgets and it's probably counter productive to learning. You'll have to learn how to use the gadget before you learn anything about mining. Any old PC is ideal for learning, as long as it's no longer needed for important stuff.
But I don’t know what you can learn on an old computer. Firstly, you will get a lot of electricity consumption if you mine, let's say 200-300 watts from the wall. And this knowledge cannot be used in modern mining. New gadgets have communities where you can learn something, but I haven't heard of communities for mining bitcoins on old PCs. I wonder if bitcoin is necessarily the option here. Aren't there some alternative coins that can still be mined just using a regular computer? It seems like I've heard of a few altcoins that don't have ASIC miners yet, so mining is still viable on consumer GPUs. I think those might be better options for someone just looking to learn with a computer they already own. No need to invest in specialized hardware that way and of course, the profits probably arent as high, but it could be an easier way to get started. I'm no expert though. Just thinking out loud about what I've picked up from reading here and there. What altcoin mining skills will you learn on a personal computer? If it is an old computer, then mining on an old processor and an old video card is unprofitable. Download and run the miner - that's all you can do. If it is compatible with your old computer hardware. Or maybe you download software with viruses. Experienced miners use Hive OS, Raven OS and others.

It is pretty crazy. The price doesn’t seem to be that high so maybe some miners came off the network or something? I haven’t explored it much. I am surprised to see that even my old 1080ti rigs are once again profitable as a result. Those babies just keep on bringing profits year after year. Amazing really.
I can run a profit in my house at 14 cent power which is pretty good thing. This time of year I pay weird usage fees on my grandfathered electricity plan that inflate my bill (I could save money monthly if I moved to a different plan), but I also get a $0.03/kWh rate which makes mining pretty profitable. If only it was winter year round… Once I get a Tesla I think that grandfathered plan will really start paying dividends. Now it’s really only useful in the winter when I need miner heat. A very good tariff, but does it allow mining or do you have to steal mining from controllers, as miners do in Russia? If there are no problems with the controllers, then I would use all the maximum power for mining while the videocaps are cheap.
