A prominent Bitcoin Core developer and Ordinals critic, Luke Dashjr, may have had a change of heart about the NFT-like assets. Or at the very least, his company is moving beyond his own hardline stance around Ordinals.
On Thursday, Ocean—the company behind the mining pool of the same name—said that miners can now decide if they want to process Bitcoin blocks that contain non-financial transactions. Previously, the pool prohibited such actions.

From their profitability page, it seems like even RTX 4090 is only earning less than $2 a day. Maybe they run other things to make their device profitable, or their energy cost is low, to begin with? It is really hard to understand why anyone would provide their device for such low profitability if they can't offset the cost. If you look at the profit of the NVIDIA RTX 4090 video card, which has recently been in the range of 2.5-5 dollars, then this is a good indicator if the problem with cooling these video cards is solved. And on good days, the profit reached 15 dollars per day. But unlike ASIC, such a video card is a very liquid product on the market. |

AMD BC-250 Mining card was a true Frankenstein of a card. Not only it features one of the kind Sony PlayStation 5 APU, it was designed for the least expected workloads for this APU: cryptomining. The last two years have been crazy enough for some companies to even consider doing this in scale, which they did. But now, with the crypto craze over, those solutions are no longer profitable to use.
ASRock’s system, which was listed for around $15K when it came out, featured twelve BC-250 cards and in a full mining chassis. These cards are equipped with Ariel/Oberon processors, which combine Zen2 and RDNA2 graphics. These APU/SoCs were used by PlayStation 5 gaming consoles.
