ok thank for good news. so far un profit i think cause keep fall.  bitcoin is on buy mode. like me buy many as can and after ATH sell or maybe high on profit times.
ASIC intermediaries trade with large margins. Asics for bitcoin are not always possible to buy from so many trusted sellers.

983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Radeon RX 7000 on: August 26, 2023, 05:20:51 PM
AMD announces its mid-range RX 7000 GPUs.
The RX 7800 XT utilizes the full configuration of this GPU, featuring 60 CUs, 128 AI Accelerators, 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 19.5 Gbps over a 256-bit bus. The card will therefore offer fewer cores than the last-gen RX 6800 XT (72 CUs). The GPU’s clock speed reaches up to 2430 MHz, and it consumes 263W of power.

Interestingly, the RX 7700 XT‘s specifications surpass expectations. It employs 54 CUs and 108 AI Accelerators, a notable improvement over the previous-gen RX 6700 XT with its 40 CUs. This model also utilizes 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus, although its memory clock is slightly lower at 18 Gbps. Notably, the RX 7700 XT exhibits a higher TBP compared to the RX 6700 XT, with a 15W increase to 245W.

984  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How can i start bitcoin mining? on: August 26, 2023, 04:58:49 PM
The mentality most noobs out there and newbie in this forum is that bitcoin minning is simply  getting free bitcoin giveaway. However,  Bitcoin  can simply be getting free bitcoin actually but that's when you complete some tasks using hardware to get a reward.  I believe  this should have been address by the professionals in the house  so I don't need to dive into it Grin. I just want to cleart that minning isnot bitcoin giveaway  Grin  Grin for those that are still having similar mindset to BTC MINNING
Today you do not need to be a professional for home mining. Enough basic knowledge about electrics and wiring, electricity limit at a good rate.
I can’t and won’t be able to repair modern ASICs at home, so other repair masters will deal with the service. But the high power consumption of new asics will not allow them to be used at home in large quantities.
985  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining On 2023 from home on: August 26, 2023, 04:52:02 PM
Hello Everyone!!

I post this topic to discuss what is the best mining devise to use for mining Bitcoin from home and what is the expected time period to get the investment back?

Experts please don't hesitate to share your thoughts.

I'm not condemning this but even you get the best miners there're other factor to be considered  else you incur debt on your self even with the best miner .I don't know if I'm making some sense here
He is going to mine from home, so his risks are in ASIC breakdowns or in a fire if the wiring is not done correctly. But at home it is impossible to put a lot of asics and it is desirable that asics be in a separate non-wooden room, a garage is well suited for this if there are no quickly flammable materials.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ASIC or Anti-ASIC? on: August 25, 2023, 04:26:45 PM
For POW coins, some people think that only anti-ASIC can be mined fairly, in order to prevent the concentration of hash rate and ensure decentralization. But other people hold the opposite view. They believe that it is ASIC that strengthens the security of coins. For CPU mining algorithms, large data centers or cloud computing vendors can easily launch 51% attacks.

Do you think anti-ASIC is necessary?
Any miner on video cards thinks that anti-Asic algorithms should be done Smiley Monero coin can be mined on video cards without profit, and multi-core server processors give the highest profit, but data centers do not attack this coin.ASIC manufacturers and coin developers cooperate, and without this cooperation it is impossible to make ASICs for a coin. Developers can change the algorithm.

well, first of all, you need to invest much in mining equipment + electricity costs. At this time, I'd prefer staking over mining
First, you must have a well-equipped room with good energy consumption limits and a price no more than 6 cents per kilowatt. Otherwise, you might think that any investor with money can start mining. Otherwise, while you spend investments on finding such a place and equipping it, the profit may fall.
988  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The economy can make mining unprofitable. on: August 25, 2023, 04:07:51 PM
It seems to me mining is not profitable by itself anymore. If during ETH era, it could bring 20$ per day, not it's not more than $6
Mining now is not profitable on video cards and FPGAS. Moreover, on FPGAS mining, everything is very bad with payback. Asics are a completely different topic and profit, but this is certainly not a business for home miners with small power consumption limits. Let's wait until the Bitcoin halving, perhaps there will be a demand for mining other coins and on video cards.
989  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USB Mining on: August 25, 2023, 04:01:08 PM
So the conclusion is that USB miners are only for fun
To enrich the sellers of these miners.
The buyer does not look at the profit of this device, because it is impossible to recoup. This can be compared to the bitcoin lottery, because one lucky person managed to catch a block of bitcoin in solo. I have not verified this information.

Etcash/Ethash is an algorithm for ASICs, so video cards on it will not give a profit.
v0.1 released Jan 10 and there were no updates during that time. I haven't heard about this miner so check the information first because the downloads were changed last month.

Mifcom BIG Boss combines Threadripper with seven RTX 4090
The ultimate workstation costs 29,000 euros.
This system boasts a total of 168GB of GDDR6X memory, enough for running advanced generative AI models, although it likely involves many optimizations. Interestingly, the power for each RTX 4090 GPU has been intentionally reduced to 300W. This may explain why the photographs show cards with two 8-pin power connectors instead of 16-pin. However, this might also be a different GPU entirely.

993  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USB Mining > ASIC on: August 24, 2023, 07:13:44 PM
Hi dear community

alright after i post about the USB mining many people advice me to buy ASIC

Where are you buying it?

is there a tutorial for it?

To cover electricity and see some good earnings how many i need as a start?
I will advice you do some research on your electricity first, are you the one paying for electricity in your house? How much are you paying per KW?

I think it's better to start with one miner first, you will be able to learn how to configure the miner to a mining pool like Nicehash or others, for a newbie it will first look impossible, I will share you a YouTube video where you can watch and learn, and you can also watch many others on YouTube, just type what type of video you want and you will get tutorial videos.

https://youtu.be/RNCXULhef74

Since others have tell you about bitmain's official website I think that's the best place to buy your Asic miner, they have a warranty too.
If he uses a USB miner, he will not notice an increase in electricity costs. With such an ASIC, the probability of catching a block is only possible in theory, but this is a solution for quiet residential mining. And for big chances, you need to watch asics for solo mining.
994  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Report: Prices of Mining One Bitcoin Worldwide on: August 24, 2023, 07:05:49 PM
In many countries there is still a lot of cheap hydro, atom, solar electricity, so miners will look for more favorable conditions for installing mining equipment. The volume of purchased electricity is also very important, because the prices in the wholesale markets do not increase as much as the tariffs for small customers.
995  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The economy can make mining unprofitable. on: August 24, 2023, 07:00:57 PM
Mining is not always profitable.
Mining is probably unprofitable if you're new to the space.
Mining is profitable only if the miners can hold the coins until the next bull run so that they have to bear the running costs such as electricity bills on their own which is too huge for a small-scale miner that is why mining should not be an ideal choice for someone who has $20K or something and looking to make a stable income.

To OP, mining profitability depends on various factors like location, and electricity cost per KWH in your location so yes it depends on your country's economy too.

The firm said in its Q2 report that its mining cost was $5.5 million mainly from power purchases, net of credits, which implies a gross margin of 65% and cost of production at around $9,000 to $10,000. Although such numbers referred to the combination of hosting and proprietary mining, the cost of production was somewhat aligned with what Argo disclosed for December 2022.
https://theminermag.com/home/nydig-galaxy-ramp-up-bitcoin-mining-revenue/

I think that large miners with a cost price of 9-14 thousand dollars per bitcoin are doing very well in this market.

[quote author=Smartgoat link=topic=5464121.msg62731698#msg62731698 date=50-70 days. You will still break some asics, so I would count on 70-80 days. Do you have free electricity?mining and catch your luck.
there is no free electricity. i will give myself light and maintain it also. Incase things went wrong on the process of mining.
Then I don't understand you. If you don’t have free electricity, then you don’t need old BITMAIN ANTMINER S9 asics.
Does your electricity have a cost?
The payback of asics by 90% or more depends on the cost of electricity.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what next do i need to start Bitcoin mining on: August 23, 2023, 07:03:18 PM
I know many things are involve in starting mining of Bitcoin. I have rise $5000 because I have made up my mind to start this business.i have also made some inquiries to buy 2nd hand s9 units. because 2eus BTC is selling used unite. I have also thought about other expenses like Electricity cost in my area and also the maintenance cost in cause things went wrong on the process of mining.

I have also decided to buy some fairly used equipments to save cost, so that  can start Bitcoin mining. I know by God grace, I will be lucky to get a fairly used equipment that will not give me problem in short period of time after buying them.

Apart from the Asic device, taking care of electricity and the small capital at hand and fairly used equipments I bought, what next do I need to have before going into mining of Bitcoin ?
Do you want to buy this ASIC
https://www.hashrate.no/asics/s9
If you buy them for $30 in bulk, and with free electricity, you'll have a ROI in 50-70 days. You will still break some asics, so I would count on 70-80 days. Do you have free electricity?
If not, then it's a bad idea.
Of course, you can set up each ASIC in solo mining and catch your luck.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto mining still profitable? on: August 23, 2023, 06:52:40 PM
Can wait until the next bull market
How do you propose to wait?
Should miners buy cheap hardware now and wait or buy hardware when the demand for mining is high and videocart and ASIC prices go up as well?
But the competition in mining is high, and without cheap electricity, waiting will not bring profit. As soon as the profit grows, the number of miners will also increase.

Hello everyone,

Since MiningPoolHub is not responding to emails or anything else online, maybe we could help each other here.

I have been trying to mine BTG by following directions on this page: https://bitcoin-gold.miningpoolhub.com

My machine gets ‘unknown host’ errors and cannot connect despite multiple attempts/combinations. I was able to mine BTG on MPH 11 months ago. MiningPoolHub has had issues after the ETH merge and continues to have ETH withdraw issues as well as other issues with no support.

Anyone know what to do or what’s going on?

If mining does not work for you on your pool, then find another pool.

If mining does not work for you on your pool, then find another pool. This coin has problems with many pools and there is not a large selection of pools, so it is better to try setting up mining on 2miners.com
